However I can then take my DSL cord and insert it in a different Ethernet port other than the WAN port and I can get internet on my Mac and iphones but only wifi on my husband's PC. I hate to spend another $179 if this is just something I'm doing wrong. Please help
I'm having a bit of trouble confirming that the ZyXEL is a combination modem & wireless-N router. If it is, then you really won't get any advantages of using the 802.11g AirPort.
If the range of your ZyXEL is limited, you may find that doing either or both of the following will help: 1) Move the ZyXEL so that it is higher vs. lower in the room, that is away from any closed areas or placed in a metal cabinet, and 2) Changing radio channels. The latter is especially important in you live in an area where there are a number of competing Wi-Fi.
A good utility to find out, is iStumbler. You would use this to find these other Wi-Fi and find which have the strongest signal value. Those that do, you would also want to note which channel they are operating on, and then, change yours to one that is at least 3-5 channels away. So, for example, if you find strong ones on channels 1 & 6, change yours to 11.

I have 2 Apple TV's in my home. One is 2nd Generation and the other is 3rd Generation. One one that is 2nd Gen cannot connect to the internet. First I restarted, the I rest it and I even changed the password. still no connection. So I purchased the 3rd Gen TV and I have to same problem, but they are in different rooms. Before I had no problem with my 2nd Gen TV, but then one day it did not connect. I even had my internet provider come and check my internet and it worked ok, but no connection with the Apple TV. I have tried everything but no results. Somebody please help me.

Wifi connect, still cannot get on the internet
I have read all the infromation that has been poseted. I went into settings 1. general, 2. reset, 3. reset network setting, 4. retyped my password. It says that it is connect but when I go to safari it states it is not connected to internet. I hope I can get some help....
I went through something similar after that last software update and subsequent fix, I had some success with the network reset but still had problems. I finally went and did the complete restore. Wala! almost everything worked much better except for the very quick battery drain. I fixed that by making sure and turning off the wi-fi after every session and making sure any songs I was listening too in I-Tunes were stopped. Amazing difference! My battery lasts about a week now with daily use. Apparently the Touch will keep playing songs until the playlist is finished unless you manually stop it (I have big ones with dozens of songs), and I may be wrong but I think the wi-fi is always searching for a signal even when it's off. The restore was pretty easy. Hope this helps.

Can connect to Linksys WRT54G but can't get to the internet.

I am having a strange issue. I am able to connect to my wireless network with my PowerBook and can see the Linksys setup page, but I cannot get on the internet. If I bypass the router I can get online with my PowerBook. If I use an ethernet cable connected to my Linksys I can get online with my PowerBook. My Sony Viao can connect wirelessly and get on the internet with no issue. My PlayStation 3 and PSP have no issues. It is solely this machine that is having the issue. I contacted Linksys and went through their troubleshooting to no avail.
Does anyone have any idea as to what the issue may be, or what I can try to resolve this issue? I have done everything I can think of and no luck. Any ideas?Adam D wrote:

I plugged the IP address into Safari and, although there were 27 errors, the page loaded. I hadn't tried that before. Interesting.
The fact that the ping worked means you are connected to the Internet, and what is likely failing (causing the "You are not connected" message) is DNS name resolution.
DNS name resolution is what converts names like "www.opendns.com" to numbers, like the numbers I gave above, 208.67.219.99.
Changing your system to use the OpenDNS DNS servers, as directed above, will fix the name resolution issue on your system. -
My apple ID password works for all of my devices but one. i only have one account and have changed the password several times but still cannot get it to work on my iPhone. any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks for the suggestion, Chris. I actually did not resolve the issue which is why i did not post an answer.
it turns out that my iphone seems to default to an incorrect User ID (it defaults to an @me account, which is not something that i have ever used).
even when i change the User ID in my settings for the iTunes store, it still appears when i attempt to get updates for my existing apps. however, it does seem to use the correct ID when i attempt to purchase new apps.
If someone actually had an answer to correct this, i would love to update my existing apps.

1. I cannot get on the internet by proxy... I try firefox, google-chrome, konqueror, all of them
cannot, but opera can. I dont' do anything even upgrade my system.
2. Even if I don't use the proxy, a lot of website is not allowed to explore, for example: ebay. all of the browser cannot, but opera can....
3.when I pacman -Syu, it will appear some error:
error: failed retrieving file 'community.db.tar.gz' from ftp.tku.edu.tw : No address record (no address record)
but I still can download the package and install, with poorer speed.....
I cannot use "yaourt" to visit AUR, it may display : curl error
I still can log on amsn and use bbs.
how can I fix this problem? Shall I have to paste any information needed?

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 n above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

You can go to the Apple online store and purcahse a copy of Mountain Lion. This will give you a redemption code, which you can use to download Mountain Lion from the App Store. Unfortuantely, I'm not aware of any other way to legally purchase it. I have never seen Apple release Muontain Lion on DVD.
In terms of Apple Service, they just need the serial number of the machine to check the purcahse date. It is usually correct, to within a few weeks. A quick Google search should give you the correct number to dial.

I would delete the account and try to re-enter it. Also, you have to let your firm's IT department know that you want to sync work email on your personal devices before they actually work.

I have an iPhone 4s that i have been using and have alot of new contacts, on my itunes i have registered an old iphone that i dont use i want to sync my contacts from the iPhone 4s but i cannot get past the page where it introduces you to your new iPhone
When you see the old number come up in the suggested choices look for a blue arrow to the right of the Contact. Tap the blue arrow and then tap Remove from Recents.

Check to make sure cellular data is not disabled in settings. If it's on, try re-setting the phone. If that doesn't fix it, call AT&T.
