  • My flash player continues to buffer every few seconds after it starts

My flash player continues to buffer every few seconds after it starts, it plays then buffers, plays then buffers. It worked just fine up until a few months ago. I’m not sure what changed. I am running windows vista. I checked the add-ons and the flash player is enabled. I tried turning off the popup blocker. I just downloaded the latest version and no change.
    Please help Thank you!

This is the run without permision list. I wish I knew how to get rid of some of this stuff . Just talked to a friend of mine that has the same problem. I also just ran a speed test on youtube and it shows that streaming HTTP is running at an average of less than 100 kbps.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
The section Install missing components has advice on breaking down the iTunes installer into the individual .msi files which might prove useful if a component such as Apple Mobile Device Support won't install normally.

  • Apple mobile device USB Driver won't install (Code 37) on my 7th Generation iPod Nano

As a result, iTunes won't detect my iPod. But the iPod will charge when I plug it in to my comp, and there is an iPod folder in "My Computer". But after installing iTunes, it no longer says “connected” on the iPod (even though it still charges it). And, in Device manager, there is a yellow exclamation mark that appears in the DVD/CD-ROM drive directly after installing iTunes – there is also a yellow mark next to “Apple mobile device USB Driver” when my iPod is plugged in. For both, it says “Code 37.” I know how to fix the DVD/CD-ROM drive problem (by deleting the filters) but the Apple driver still won't install after that. I've tried troubling shooting this. I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, but it hasn't made a difference. And I've uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes multiple times, too, and every time I reinstall iTunes the same thing happens: my iPod no longer says “connected on the screen,” and the  DVD/CD-ROM drive gets code 37 again. Also, I tried different USB cables/ports.
Any help of suggestions would be greatly appreciated. And I think I've already read a lot of troubleshooting guides on this site, but haven't had any success so far.

Sorry, I'm confused. What do you mean by “leaving all other USB devices disconnected”? Does that include my mouse, keyboard, etc? And does that mean I uninstall those things in the device manager?

  • HT1923 I cannot uninstall apple mobile device support.  I am following the instructions for removing and reinstalling itunes but now stuck.  Please help.

I am following the instructions for removing and reinstalling itunes because I had a "msvcr80.dll missing from your computer" error.  I have uninstalled itunes and apple software update but the next one in order "apple mobile device support" will not uninstall.  According to the instructions, that one has to be removed before I can do the rest.  Would love any help I can get.

Hello and thanks so much for your quick reply. I am at a standstill, because I have done those things already and it has not worked. The repair install procedure seemed to take place quickly, but the same thing happened again when I tried to uninstall it the program after that.... It seems to proceed, then the progress bar goes backward, and there it still is!
When I downloaded the Microsoft Fixit program and asked it to uninstall the Apple Mobile device Support, it started but then got stuck and I had to shut my computer off, as it froze everything up!
I'm hoping you can help..... This seems to be a problem with the new version, and it's frustrating, because I can't use Itunes on my computer at all till we find a solution.
Perhaps if I try to restore my computer to before the Itunes 11.1.4 uodate?
Thanks so much for your help,

  • TS1538 My iTunes does not recognise any of the six i-devices in my household... the Apple Mobile device is still listed in my windows 8 control panel and I did not have this problem prior to the last month.  Is there something to help?  Anything?!

SIX devices... not one recognized by ITunes.  Three IPods, two iphones and an ipad.. This is ridiculous.  It's been a month.   When am I going to be able to fix this?!

Who are you?  Me?  I have an iPad, 3 iPods, and an iPhone (ok, only 5 devices, maybe you aren't me).  None of them will synch with iTunes ever since I upgraded iTunes to 11.1.4.62.  I am trying to figure out how to revert to 11.0 or 10.x.
If you want, you can try the official technote, but none of them worked for me, and they take quite a bit of time to slog through : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1363?viewlocale=en_US

  • When i connect my iphone to itune, it shown Apple Mobile Device not yet started, cannot connect my ipone and itunes, why?

when I connect my iphone to the iTunes, it said "Apple Mobile Device" service not yet activated, service cannot start?
What does it mean? I connect my iphone to iTunes everynight, only tonight this message pop out?

You can try to start the AMDS by going to task manager (ctrl/alt/delete), Choose the services tab and right click on the AMDS and choose start service. This will sometimes work, but usually iTunues needs to be reinstalled. If you reinstall iTunes, follow this KB how to article --> http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1925

  • Apple Mobile Device Service Stopped Working 8.2

Ugh. I know there have been many posts on this, and I've tried all the suggestions, but nothing has helped.
I'm running Vista Ultimate x64. I upgraded to iTunes 8.2. The second it finished installing, I got a message that said "Apple Mobile Device Stopped Working and Was Closed". The computer recognizes my iPhone, and there are no errors in the device manager, but iTunes says "iTunes can not sync with the iPhone because Apple Mobile Device Service is not started. Here's what I've done so far:
I added application exceptions for everything in the Apple Mobile Device and iTunes folders to my Norton 360 firewall.
I uninstalled everything Apple related (including mobile device service, bonjour, etc), cleaned my registry and re-installed 8.2.
I uninstalled again and went back to 8.1 The mobile device service worked, but when I opened iTunes I got an iTunes message that said "iTunes can not open ituneslibrary.itl because it was created by a newer version of iTunes."
I uninstalled, reinstalled 8.2, uninstalled just the mobile device service, and installed just the mobile device service from 8.1. Everything was fine until I opened iTunes and got an error message that said "iTunes recquires a newer version of Apple Mobile Device Support. Please upgrade".
So at this point it looks like my options are: Go back to 8.1 and start over with a brand new library (which is a huge pain because I've got over 300 gigs of music and at least 50 playlists that I use for my work) OR stay with 8.2 and not be able to sync my iPhone (also a huge pain because, well, I need to be able to sync).
Here's the log entry in my Event Viewer every time the "Appple Mobile Device Stopped Working" error pops up: "Faulting application AppleMobileDeviceService.exe, version 2.50.39.0, time stamp 0x49f9b7cf, faulting module RPCRT4.dll, version 6.0.6001.18051, time stamp 0x48002cd4, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x00018092, process id 0x14d8, application start time 0x01c9e9f70b1e30ad."
Does anybody have any ideas? Does it have something to do with my system being 64 bit and where iTunes installs its drivers and such? Is there another update coming soon, Apple?
    Thanks,
    Matt

Stay with itunes 8.1 - sounds like that was working for you.
Get the itunes database file for itunes 8.1 out of the *Previous iTunes Libraries* folder.

    Hi!
So i think i closed the wrong service at some point a few weeks back (apple mobile device) but iTunes remained working after that for another week. I then updated iTunes and i get the same  "Service ‘Apple Mobile Device’ (Apple Mobile Device) failed to start.  Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services." every time. If i click ignore, just so i can access iTunes with out syncing my iPod (touch 2nd gen) i then get 'iTunes was not installed correctly. Please re-install iTunes. Error 7 (Windows error 193)" when it has all installed. I don't understand what the problem is anymore as I have looked at other questions on the apple website, carried out the advice and it hasn't work. Any of them.
    Tings I have done:
    - Wiped all iTunes and Apple data from my computer (if you search for 'iTunes' or 'Apple' nothing comes up apart from applets from system code.
    - Attached iPod before iTunes install and updated drivers.
    - Installed iTunes as 'Run as administrator'
    - Uninstalled and re-installed the software nearly 20 times now and rebooted the computer in between everytime.
Please someone help because i really need to get music on my ipod and i enjoy the ease of use of iTunes compared to spotify or Windows Media Player.

The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, need to revert to an older version or want to try the iTunes for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) release as a workaround for performance issues or compatibility with QuickTime or third party software.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there are also links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.
Regarding AMDS failures there is a hint in another thread that disabling the Windows Firewall before attempting to reinstall may help, otherwise take a look at the steps outlined in this post. Re: Can't install iTunes 12.1 on Windows 7 64-bit. I know they look a little daunting, but the process of generating the logs themselves isn't that hard to do. Extracting useful information from them is still a challenge but maybe something will leap out. If you want to post the log for the failed components for me to have a look at here or in the other thread please edit out any personal information, particularly your email address, first.

  • HT1926 Routine update of iTunes failed. Eventually had to uninstall and reinstall iTunes x2. Installation failed with message 'Service Apple Mobile Device failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.

    Hi,
When I tried to install iTunes update this failed, then tried to uninstall and reinstall itunes twice. Failed again. Could not open iTunes. I use an HP PC. Even tried to disable Macafee firewall, still itunes failed to install. Please help!!

Followed these instructions with a few changes. (Windows 7 x64)
Uninstalled programs in the following order:
    - Itunes
    - Apple Application Support
    - Apple Software Update
    - Bonjour
    - Apple Mobile Device Support (uninstall failed due to Apple Mobile Device failure)***
    - Restarted System
    - Redownloaded Itunes from website.
    - Run installer as Administratot
    - Succefully installed
***To uninstall Apple Mobile Device Support
    - Right clicked on Apple Mobile Device Support, Clicked Charge (second option), Repair, Next (failed to repari)
    - Right clicked the Apple Mobile Device Support in the Programs and Features window and clicked Repair (third option in drop down list). (repaired successfully)
    - Uninstall successful after the repair.
Below is a guess at a quicker solution:
Looking at the uninstalls, it may be worth trying to repair the Apple Mobile Device Support through the Program and Features window before trying to uninstall everything.  It may be a faster fix for the freezing service.  After the repair is successful the itunes update may work.
    Hope this helps.

  • IPod Nano 6g not syncing - Apple Mobile Device Support can't install

i recently got iTunes working again on my computer. my grandfather wanted me to sync his old iPod Nano, so i did that and it worked fine. i then tried to sync my own iPod Nano 6g, and it gave me the error:
"An iPod has been detected, but it could not be identified properly. Please disconnect and reconnect the iPod, then try again.
If the problem persists, uninstall iTunes, then install iTunes again."
i tried reconnecting the iPod, of course, and then tried reinstalling iTunes, but the same error kept coming up. if i closed iTunes, then connected the iPod, i could find it in My Computer, but after opening iTunes it would give me the error and eject itself. i then tried all the stuff outlined here:
    http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ituneshelp/?kbase=TS1363&viewlocale=en_US
but that didn't help. i tried plugging the iPod into the USB ports at the back of the computer, but nope.
i soon discovered that Apple Mobile Device Support wasn't running or installed on the computer, and that that may be the source of the problem. however, i looked in my C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple folder and there was a Apple Mobile Device folder. it didn't appear complete, though, as there wasn't the 'bin' folder needed to run AMDS properly. i renamed this Apple Mobile Device folder, adding an 'OLD' at the end, so as to not interrupt any times i would try to install AMDS in this folder properly.
i first tried a simple complete uninstall then reinstall of iTunes, but i noticed during the install that when the installer got to the stage of installing Apple Mobile Device Support, it would stop and then say 'rolling back action' and the loading bar would move backwards, before installing the rest of iTunes as normal. hence, AMDS was still uninstalled and my iPod still wasn't being recognized by iTunes.
i tried extracting the iTunesSetup.exe file, and then running the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi file separately, but it would give me the same rolling back action thing and it would end in 'installation interrupted, system was not modified, please try again later'. tried disabling my anti-virus then installing iTunes, then disabling my anti-virus and running the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi separately but nothing was different.
please help. why is Apple Mobile Device Support not installing? and is this actually the reason why my iPod is not syncing with iTunes? any insight would be appreciated. thanks.

On rare occasions on Windows XP systems, I've seen that effect produced when there are old files/folders for the netaapl.sys and usbaapl.sys drivers stuck down in your Windows Operating system folders. If that's afoot, the following (somewhat involved) procedure may be of some assistance:

  • Unable to uninstall Apple mobile device support

    Hello,
I'm having big troubles with my Itunes, and more exactly with apple mobile device support.
I tried to uninstall every programmes of itunes (itunes, quick-time, apple mobile, bonjour...) to reinstall it.
I can't uninstall apple mobile device support. It won't disappear from the "programmes and applications". And the option "repair" doesn't work also. And every time i try to reinstall itunes it failed because of apple mobile device installation.
When i'm on my desk, the service apple mobile device is stopped, and when i try to start it, the computer can't reach access, and said something like "error 1053" or "can't access to sthe service". So i think that Apple mobile device support is the key of the problem, but i don't know how to fix it.
I'm a bit desperate because i didn't found anywhere some solutions, so if someone has, i will be very very grateful.
    Thanks You

Others might find this process useful for issues with iTunes 11.1.4.62....
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
    Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.
