My Blue Ray doesn't work

Hi,
I am trying to play a Blue Ray disc and I am running into several problems.
First, my Blue Ray player keeps popping back out the DVD and does not recognize the disc.
Second, upon downloading the, DVD Power 10 something, I keep getting a pop up message that reads "Cant' load CLScan.dII."
Last, I have been trying and trying to talk to customer service about my warrenty and how my warrenty covered a repair because my computer has been having troubles since my purchase. However, everytime I try to log onto the Windows 7 Ultimate 64-but Service Pack Customer Service, it says there is a problem and forces me to close my application. My warrenty just expired now today and I am really sad about this.
With Care,
Dave

  • How to get lg BE14NU40 blue ray burner to work with fcp or compressor

how to get LG BE14NU40 Blue Ray Burner to work with FCP X or Compressor??

    Hello Ron,
First up, you don't have to use Compressor to burn a Bluray Disc.
FCP X can do this with it's own built-in software. Compressor of course can do the job.
In my experience some burners work and some don't.
I use an the older version of this burner:

    It works fine with Mac.

  • Upgraded to windows 8 and blue-ray no longer works

I have a HP pavilon elite hpe 570f and i upgraded to windows 8 and the blue-ray player doesn't work any more.

Are you saying the optical drive doesn't work at all anymore, or just that it doesn't play Blu-ray discs? Windows 8 doesn't include any software that can play BD movies. Check if the drive can read a music CD, and if it can, you probably just need to download third-party BD player software to play BD movies.

  • Blu Ray doesn't play 1 of 3 videos on disc

I desperately need some help with an issue I am having with a Blu Ray I created with Adobe Encore CS5 for PC.
I have three videos on there but only 2 of the videos play when viewed in a home theater style Blu Ray player.
All three videos were created in Adobe PP CS5 and exported with the same exact settings (H.264 Blu Ray) but one video on the disc has a black screen when played. The audio plays in the background, though. The odd thing about this is the disc plays perfectly on my two Blu Ray drives at home but my client informed me about the issue with three of their players. I then tested it at a friends on their player and saw the issue.
I set up the whole project in encore and it test builds with no issues. It's also showing that my videos were transcoded fine since it doesn't default to transcoding them through Encore (see image).
I can't figure out what the heck is going on but it's driving me crazy that 2/3 of the disc is flawless but the first video on there doesn't work on home theater players.
Anybody hear of this before??? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you!

    Thanks for the reply.
One timeline is strictly audio (it was a wedding and they asked for their ceremony audio).
I'm not sure why the one audio is unstranscoded. This last round of re-transcoding I did vbr 2 pass but other than that I stuck with H.264 Blu Ray options in Media Encoder. The FINAL.m4v is the video that isn't playing but the audio FINAL.wav does play (the one that is listed as unstranscoded)
I'm going to give it another round of transcoding tonight to see what happens.

  • Re: Qosmio F60-100 Blue-ray doesn't start movie or even menu

    Hey guys !
My Toshiba Qosmio F60-100 works perfectly. There's just the blu ray drive that causes problems, because each time I put a Blu ray in, it starts the "Win DVDBD" program but never starts to play the movie or even the menu.
I just don't know how I can solve this problem.
I have already tried with the famous update but when I try to install it, i get a message telling me that the update isn't for my computer.
Thanks in advance for your help.
    Volki

Yeah I've tried several BDs. It's really strange because sometimes it worked, but after I restarted it two or three times. Now It's the fourth Disk that makes reading problems. Now, I remember. I got to solve the problem once, because I registrated for win dvdbd. It worked .. until I shutted down my laptop. Now it's the same as before.

  • Dvd/blu-ray player not working

my laptop suddenly won't play dvd's or blu-rays anymore.

OK we can try to help. For starters, what kind of laptop is it? We need a model number and what Windows version you are running. Was it working before? Did you install any hardware or software right before it stopped working?

  • Encore cs 5.1 blu ray chapter not working.....

I've a tone of problems with this version.  Encore showing error codes 14, 25.....Some of the chapters working fine but others not. I've tried several ways to solve the issues but no hope. It seems you need full knowledge of blu ray theories to burn a blu ray!!!!

I'm using windows 7 on laptop with i7 processor and nvidia GTS 360M display, External 1 TB HDD through SATA cable.
Original shot was on HDV 60i with multiple Sony cameras and did the multicam edit. Converted to H264 with PCM audio with premiere CS 5.5, used VBR 2 pass everthing else left as defaut settings. Rendering took almost 21 hrs to generate  2:18 hr. video .m4v and .wav files (file size 17.7 gb).
When I bring these videos as timeline(took ~20min to load files.) into the Encore with all the menus(created in photoshop with buttons and res. 1440 X 1080 to match with other assets ), some of the chapters not working on the preview window and Encore transcoded the whole files took another ~10 hrs!
Is there any better and faster workflow to complete the project ?
note: I used the cineform avi for multicam editing in premiere pro with the same settings (HDV 29.97).
Okay, we are starting to make progress, but why are you shooting in HDV? That is a lossy system using non-sqyuare pixels so the whole thing is effectively getting converted. No wonder it took 21 hours and it looks to me as if you exported to the wrong settings - .m4v is regular .264, not BluRay. See Stan's suggestion.
We still need to see the exact error messages - it looks likely you are out of HDD space. Remember that Premiere & Encore use 32-bit float audio temp files, and the media cache databases will be enormous.....how much HDD free is remaining?

  • H.264 blu ray setting not working

I am about ready to pull my hair out. I purchased final cut pro x, compressor 4, and a new canon hd camcorder. From the research i did it appeared i also needed anusoft's media converter program in order to work with my canon's .mts files. i successfully edited several hours of footage down to about an hour and exported it from final cut prox using the export media setting and dragged the prores file into compressor 4 and converted it to h.264. however i am unable to open the file that is produced by this process. I have tried doing it various ways. i have tried using a small segement of the video. i've tried using another video with the same results. I did try converting a segment to another compressor pre set and it worked fine. i continue to get the same error every time when i try to open the h264 file, "cannot open media file". The other odd thing that happens when i double click on the file, just before i get the error message,  is that compressor opens. i had assumed it would've opened in quick time but perhaps i'm wrong in this. i've deleted my compressor program and re installed it. I've deleted final cut pro x and reinstalled that. I've done a clean install. (i was having serious problems with final cut pro x not opening in my administrator account so that was why i took such a drastic step with the clean install). Final cut pro x now works perfectly well. But i am still getting the exact same problem with the h 264 setting. my goal is to burn a blu ray disc with my digistor blu ray burner. I am using Lion. Anusoft MTS conversion was set for prores "lite" and everything seemed fine in final cut pro x.
after all this i am assuming i am an idiot and have missed something really obvious. I've been making home movies for a long time and have upgraded to the pro applications and realize it's a learning curve but i'm usually pretty quick to catch on. I'd really appreciate some advice! I've been working at this in my spare time since December 11 and haven't been able to find much out there so thanks anyone if you have a moment.

Unfortunately Compressor, Quicktime X and Quicktime 7 can't play a Blu-ray .264 video files. This makes it hard to test your raw Blu-ray videos.
I found an app that will plaback the Blu-ray .264 video file on a Mac, VideoSpec. It's a free app!
    http://videospec.free.fr/index.html
Drop your Blu-ray .264 video onto the open window and hit the play button in the upper left. VideoSpec has the Mplayer incorporated into the app. I guess you could download the stand-alone Mplayer app. But, Videospec gives you more options, video info for example.
What you could do to save on Blu-ray discs is to burn the Video onto a DVD for a test. You can only burn about 35 minute onto a DVD disc.

  • Toast 11 and ASUS Blue-Ray burner not working together!

    Hey All,
I recently got an ASUS SBC-06D2X-U Blue-Ray burner and found out that little "Mac compatabile" label isn't correct. Had to get Toast 11. • Blu Ray drive not working at all

I have an HP ENVY 17-j092nr Notebook PC.  The Blu Ray player that came with it was the Mat**bleep**a BD CMB UJ 162. This drive worked, and then stopped.  It won't read any disc of any kind at all anymore.  Not audio CDs, no Blu Ray discs, no program instalation discs. Although I recently upgraded to Windows 10, this was an issue when I had Windows 8.1.  So it's not a Windows 10 problem. Checking the upper and lower filters in the registry, deleting them, re installing drivers, getting rid of iTunes, none of that has worked.  My device manager says the device is working properly. What the dirve does do often, with or whithout a cd in it, is it'll click three times, as though trying to read a disc, and then stop.  The action light on the dirve itself flashes while this is going on.
Here is the iTunes diagnostic I ran on the drive:

I have exactly the same problem... mine sounds like it is trying to read the disk, makes loads of juddering noises. i have to keep taking it in and out till it finally works. games, dvds, cds, the lot. i took it to the so called pc experts where i got my laptop from and they said it happens and to restore the computer to its original factory settings, it worked for him, however it didnt work for me, well, it did then went back to its old ways the second time i used it. so i think i may have a deeper problem, but it could always work for you.
sorry i havent been much help, but i would also like to hear some suggestions! it is extremely frustrating..

  • ATI 3870 fan noise;  Blu-ray movie playback works with 3870.

Is there a better fan/heatsink for 3870? I just replaced my stock 7300GT with 3870 but fan noise is annoying and is louder than my Mac Pro system fans. Thanks.
I just like to share to everybody that 3870 works with Buffalo external USB Blu-ray(tested with Vista). My stock 7300GT will not playback Blu-ray movies because it's not HDCP compliant.
    Nathan

I just removed the fan off my x1900 and it's a joy to listen to now. Dead silent.
Here are some photos of how easy it was. Take off memory heat syncs, take off electric heat syncs, and then the fan off the chip. Wipe it with a tissue. Then take an eraser and rub until all residue is gone. Then just stick and peel the heat syncs where they fit.
The only trick was getting the clips to fit on the board. I had to take off the long metal piece that ran the length of the board so the clips could fit around it.
Anyway hope this helps someone out there.

  • Blu-ray does not work after update to windows 7

Hi, couple months ago I have installed windows 7 on my HP Pavilion dv5-1070ew (previously there was pre-installed Vista). I've installed the newest version of HP MediaSmart DVD (4.0.3822) downloaded right from HP.com but unfotunately, when I'm inserting a BLU-RAY Disc it's not being played. HP MediaSmart DVD opens and it writes that "Disc is ready to play" (so it is able to see the disc), but when I click button "Play", the monitor starts to wink for a while and then nothing happens...
Thanks in advance for any help

I would suggest downloading trial version of cyberlink power DVD from here http://www.cyberlink.com/downloads/trials/powerdvd/download_en_US.html?affid=2581_853_290_12410_0_EN... and check if we till have the same issue.
But before doing that, I hope after the change of OS, you have installed all the required drivers like chipset, graphic, etc....
