My daughter gave me her old iPhone 3G. I started loading my info in before hitting the "reset" option. It is now trying to sync her address book to mine on the old phone. The reminder screen gives no options for cancel or delete. Please advise.
My daughter gave me her old iPhone 3G. I started loading my own info before doing a complete "Reset". My iMac at home now give me a message that it is time to Sync 432 Contacts. They happen to be my daughters contacts. The window has no Cancel or Delete option. How do I get rid of or stop the Sync other than let it go and then start deleting them? Help! Ron
or... put your photos in "My Pictures" in My Documents, and viola, itunes syncs it to the iphone. only one sentence needed =/

Thanks for your thorough post. I too need to use BTMM on almost a daily basis for my job, and it has fallen short countlness times. I too have taken great pains to check all of the typical trouble shooting steps within iCloud and in the Apple keychain on each Mac etc, but after the latest rounds of system updates from Apple a few weeks ago to Mountain Lion, BTMM on one of my Macs is completely broken and unusable. I would concur that if you need remote access for "real" mission critical use, just bite the bullet and pay for a service like LogMeIn. You won't regret it and you will get real software support.

Get the serial number off the back. Log in to http://supportprofile.apple.com, click Add product and enter the serial number. If it says it is registered to another ID have your daughter sign in at the above webpage and remove it. -

My daughter gave me her old ipod. I have downloaded itunes to my window 7 computer. When I try to sync the ipod by connecting it to my computer the ipod does not show up in the itunes drop down menu. Is thid because the ipod was named by my daughter? Does she need to deauthorize it from her Mac computer?
I'm not sure what you mean by "drop-down window", but your daughter doesn't need to do anything for you to claim and use her iPod. If you have iTunes 11, the iPod should appear as a button in the upper-right of the iTunes window, e.g.:
If you have an earlier version of iTunes, you may need to update, but normally the iPod would appear in the sidebar under the "Devices" header. If it does not appear in either place, this support article may help:

I am using iphone 4..32 gb...i hav updated to ios6..i am experiencing serious lags...watever m doin d phone lags n goes to the home screen...frequency is much greater..please help me with it...i even replaced my device but same problem on new one..!!!!Restore the phone as a new device. There is probably something that was corrupted on your phone during the update and has been passed via the backup to the replacement phone. If the corruption/problem is contained in the backup, you'll need to re-sync your data, and re-install your apps manually. Restoring the backup again will only bring the problem back with it.
If restoring it as new does not fix it, then make an appointment at the genius bar. -

im currently running on ios 7.1.2 and unlocking my iPhone 5s either by Touch ID or passcode the screen will quickly flash black before showing the Home screen. You know its a pure random thing , like a second. Its annoying . Help please , do i need to restore i hard resetted it twice .You may have fragmented RAM on the phone; that second is the time it takes to move apps around in memory to make room for the Springboard (the internal app that displays the Home screen). To fix this do the following:
While on the Home screen double-press the HOME button.
For each app displayed, swipe up on its screen image to close the app and free its memory
When all apps have been closed this way reset the phone by holding the HOME and SLEEP buttons at the same time until an Apple logo appears
If this doesn't fix it you should restore the phone using iTunes. Please let us know if this solves it, however. -

I also just got an iPad and the music list is exactly the way I want it. Is there a way to sync between the iPad and iPod?You should use your backup copy of your computer to put everything on the new computer.
The sync is one way - computer to ipod.
The ipod will sync with one computer at a time. Syncing to another will erase teh content from the ipod. -
