My droid 3 is terrrrible and verizon doesnt care!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

heyy ive had the droid 3 for about 11 months and they just ordered me my 4th one and all it ever is, is refurbished stupid phones they always have the same problem. my last one i had took 2.5 weeks to get here and ive had it for a week and a half and it broke.
MY PROBLEMS WITH THE PHONE
the walpaper goes black and freezes
doesnt read my sd card sometimes
random restarts sometimes more than 10 in one day
speeker fuzzes out
and finaly it crashes
Ultimatly i dont think verizon really cares if we have problems with our phones. once they give the phone to us its like they are told to only say lets do a hard reset or we will send you a referbished phone that you will probably send in again for us to give you another one.
all i am asking for is an early upgrade or them to send me a different droid or an entirely different phone in general. i hope someone else reads this and understands my problems with the stupid phone..

I can understand your frustration with verizon.  I had ongoing and unresolved problems with a samsung fascinate.  Went through 3 phones.  They even sent me a new battery for one of the issues and told me to keep the old.  Two years later and I'm still using the same phone with the same issues.
If the return period has passed there is not much verizon can do for you.  Give your self time to adjust and you will come to accept the phone with all of it's faults.

  • Spent almost 4 hours in the store today...left empty handed - Verizon doesnt care.....

    I have been a Verizon customer for over 15 years and have never missed a payment.....NEVER. Well, I moved in January.  My Autopay was kicked back to Verizon (address on Debit Card didn't match...ooops!).  My bank showed the payment went through and Verizon show my bill as unpaid. So after going back and forth with Verizon customer service, I paid the bill (again) and finally....a week later....BofA showed the payment to Verizon as reversed.  Well, through all that...my payment was a few days late.  I'm sorry (see first sentence...NEVER late until now).
    Today I went into a store to move my work phone number back onto a Verizon plan.  I knew this would take a while...so I planned for it.  Well, my account was blocked for adding a new phone on the edge plan.  Ok. I understand.  I explain what happened.  The Store called customer service. The store said they think it's going to be all taken care of...it just might take 15 min to One hour to have the block removed. I waited....waited....went next door to get some lunch....came back....waited.  When I got back the store was acting funny.  So I asked what the status was....they called customer service again.  Then the Store asked me to come to the phone to talk to Customer Service.  Customer service said this would take 3-5 days.  I was floored.  If they would have told me this in the beginning, I would have left and not wasted 4 hours of my work day sitting in a Verizon store.  I really feel the store didn't care, They knew I have another one of my lines on the Edge Program, so they know I can't leave for another year. I got the run around from the Sales Person and from the Manager.  After 15 years, I guess I'll just ride my contract out and move on.
    Main points:
    1.  The Store I was in didn't have the guts to tell me after being re-assured for 3-4 hours, It wasn't going to happen today. They let the customer service agent tell me. 
    2.  Verizon doesn't care. They don't care of you leave to another provider.  As long as you are under a contract, they don't have to provide good customer service.
    3.  Loyalty is gone. See #2.....

    Just because your line is on Edge doesn't mean you can't switch. You will pay the same by staying or switching because you will be billed the balance of the full cost of the device if you switch. If you stay until the Edge agreement is paid off then you will have paid the balance of the full cost of the device.
    Switch if you must and good luck with any different provider.

    I went to online chat with customer service and got no where. My phone has no sound via ear speaker or speaker and I am due for upgrade in 2 months but they offer no help besides paying more money monthly with their edge program. I think I pay them enough on a monthly basis without having to fork over more. Thanks for nothing. I will be looking for another carrier in 2 months.

  • I hate to say - DISATISFIED WITH with CUSTOMER CARE RESPONSE and VERIZON in all for first time.

    I am currently on National 900 plan on Motorola Droid. I switched from AT&T primarily because I love to use data on mobile. Verizon provided me the unlimited plan. I was a very happy customer with Verizon untill now.
    Scenario -
    Today, I called up Verizon customer care executive to see why bill for the month was not readjusted. Can anyone believe it its staggering $1137.73 [Roaming charges 1019.19].
    Since this January, I am visiting to Canada. On first visit in January, I called up customer care to see what options I do have to use my phone in Canada as I use it in US. Verizon had a wonderful plan - just the monthly data plan is escalated appear. 30-40$ extra than the normal appear. 29.99$ plan. I happily added that plan before visiting Canada. While there is Canada, I did get notification couple of time that I am exceeding data limit but again checked with customer care later - they readjusted the bill as that was 'FALSE ALERT' as I was on unlimited data plan while roaming as well in Canada since I paid the additional prorated of (30-40$) for period of my stay there.   
    This equation worked for first and second visit - Unlimited Data while I used to get FALSE ALERT.  
    On my  third visit , things changed - Verizon stopped providing the unlimited data services. I called up as usual before this visit. Customer care executive said - you are set to go to Canada now. I was not very specifically told on call that the rules have changed now and there is limit to data usage while roaming. During this visit also, I got the alerts - I assumed this was also a FALSE ALERT like prior one. 
    But this time, it was not FALSE ALERT, now I charged with this fee. I raised my concern and called up customer care appear. 10 day before [today is March 6th], they assured me that it is going to be re-adjusted ONLY for this time. And, they also asked to check account after 48 hours and if not readjusted please call. But, I checked my account today and it was not readjusted. So, I called up customer care executive for half an hour -- not willing to listen to any logic of mine and he said politely 'SIR, WE CANNOT READJUST YOUR BILL' . I am still trying to figure out where is my fault when I was not told DATA PLAN HAS CHANGED FROM THIS VISIT.
    I hope senior management will look into this matter and re-adjust current bill. It's due this March 10th. I would appreciate any positive response prior to this so that I can pay the bill and BE A HAPPY VERIZON CUSTOMER.

    I called them back yesterday night, not willing to listen my story. Sir we sent you SMS notifications. But these notifications, I also got when I had unlimited plans on first and second visit. Then customer care told SIR you don't need to worry - but this time I should have been very specifically told rules are changed before changing my plans which I wasn't. I was under impression that I am on same unlimited plans.
    A job not well done in COMMUNICATING TO CUSTOMERS and using that an opportunity to OVERCHARGE $1100 - INSANE for one month bill. None of my fault. SMS notification is no communication as earlier SMS noitification were false positive and bills were adjusted as I was on unlimited data plan.
    Now you change the rules and send SMS Notification; RULE CHANGE, one is not aware of.. ANY NORMAL person will treat SMS notification as FALSE ALERT.. isn't it??

    Why would they sell a phone that was defective?   Why do they not own up that the device did not and has not functioned?   
    Let me add some other issues I missed.
    7) Dials multiple times the same number.
    8) Dials the number minutes after trying to call a phone number
    9) constantly force closes applications.
    10) Battery life is non existent (I have bought at least 8 spare batteries)
    11) Slow to respond
    Let me just post what I have done.
    1) I stopped by a store
    2) Called customer service
    3) tried to create a question in forum and verizon deleted it.

    She needs to remove that device from the iMessage database, or if she still has the phone, she can go into Settings, Messages and turn off iMessage. If she still has the phone, she just needs to put the SIM back in for a couple of minutes to turn that off.
    If she does not have the phone any more, she will need to go to her Support Profile, if she registered the phone and delete the phone from the profile.

  • Been complaining about lag on xbox live for a year and Verizon is now ignoring me.

    For the past year and a half I have been complaining to verizon about the horrible xbox live service I am getting. They keep telling me there is nothing wrong. I have tried four different routers(verizon and non-verizon with updated firmwares), tried both coax and ethernet, switched every ethernet line twice, played on a 5 foot cable in my garage, had my ont switched, and my fiber re-spliced. Verizon claims nothing is wrong and have tried to get me to stop complaining by telling me "fios is too fast for xbox because games are designed for high latency connections and because fios has no latency slower connections can't keep up so it feels laggy." I posted that response on a xbox gaming forum and promptly had 10 people tell me FIOS runs great on their xbox. 
    So obviously the problem lies beyond my network and verizon is doing nothing to fix it. I have had a technician come out at least six times and all they run is a speed test. I am getting the speed I am provisioned at but ALL my xbox live games are unplayable online. I believe the problem lies in the first public hop outside because when I run a line quality test,(https://secure.dslreports.com/pingtest) I get an error that says  "50ms or more latency between your ip address and your first public internet hop could certainly be bettered with a quality connection"
    Just to be sure it wasn't unique my house I walked around my neighborhood and found 2 open wifi networks that were on FIOS and ran the same test. Both of them came back with the same error as me and both had the same first hop as me. To make sure that error wasn't normal for FIOS users I asked those poeple on the xbox live forum to run the test and tell me the results. Every single one of them passed the first hop test and had nearly half the latency, (Here are a few of them) I supplied this information and now they are ignoring me.
    Is there any mod or technician here that can provide me with contact information for someone who will look into and fix this problem for me? I believe I have provided significant proof that this problem is not in my network and calling an 800 number and opening a ticket does not help. I have been complaining for a year and a half and nothing has been done. I have lost practically all my xbox live friends because of this and would like to be able to play now that I have more free time. A phone number or email would be great. BTW I am in orange county, CA if that helps.

  • I have been lied to and Verizon has wasted over 18 hours of my time hanging up on me and placing me on hold with no solution

    On the morning of a charity event that I was running for 350 inner school children my phone asked if I wanted to do an update.  I clicked yes and life as I know it has changed.  The whole charity event was messed up because I had everyone’s  assignment in the phone and the lollipop update made it hard to navigate. One of many things that is wrong is everything I do, I get a pop up asking me if I want to use One Touch Wizard.  No matter how many times I click always use one touch, I have to go through 2 extra steps for every move I want to make on the phone.  I called Verizon and they stated that they are sending everyone new phones because this update was so bad.  However, they cannot send me one because on day 3 after I bought the phone I dropped it and it has a tiny crack in the screen.  This crack has never effected the phone and my problems are simply because of this update. In approximately 18 hours of tech support, I have been but on hold for 15 to 45 minutes at a time with no one coming back until I ultimately just gave up and hung up. Often I was promised a call back and it never happened once.  Again,  I had to call back and start all over.   I would call back and have to start the support process all over again.  Because of all of my time and the data I had to use for updates and such a Verizon rep gave me 1 gig of data per month for 12 months.  I called another time and they said the rep was not authorized to do this because I was on a loyalty plan. So this means that when a Verizon rep tells a customer something you cannot believe it because they can take it back.    The only reason I am on this plan is because I paid for several months while I had a non working phone.  Verizon sent me 18 straight defective phones.  They were deemed defective by the manufacturer.  Verizon has no respect for all the time I wasted and I almost lost my job because of it.  I now have a phone that is effecting my job and my life and Verizon wants me to pay for a new one.  I feel that I am being strong armed and this is a principle thing for me.  I decided to post here before I file reports with the BBB, Attorney General and the FCC.  I look forward to Verizon’s reply.  Thanks!

    Im wondering why my post hasn't been answered yet.  I did file a report with the BBB and I had a rude representative from Verizon call me named Steve. He said I can file all of the reports I want and I will just keep getting calls from him.  I can understand why my phone couldn't be replaced because of the small crack.  I guess I have to eat that one (but it sucks because the lollipop update is what caused the problems)  but what about all of the data overage I had to pay for for trying to fix this phone because of a lollipop update.  I dont think it is fair to have to pay that as well. In addition,  because I have an east coast phone number but live on the west coast, I cannot have tech support after 8pm.  Verizon has cut this off.  Im very dissatisfied and I have been a customer of Verizon for 13 years.  Im hoping for a response this time.

  • I Returned my Cellphone and Verizon Lost it

    Hi, this happened to me to and is an ongoing issues. Verizon is threatening to deactivate my 6 accounts. I need assistance from here by verizon to fix this issue.   Below see what i have been dealing with.
    1/14/13: I called Verizon & spk w/ Customer Servc as all phone lines were disconnected.  Female rep stated lines disconnected due to non-payment of $599.99 for a Rezound that was not returned to Verizon.  Rep researched & found that phone was indeed returned to Fort Worth, TX & in Verizon’s possession.  Due to their error, I was charged for 6 activation fees & was only given a discount for 3 of the 6 fees.  I don’t believe this is fair. Rep advised that she submitted a Direct Fulfillment Refund Request which would be processed in 24-48 hrs & promised the $599.99 would not be counted against my account & set aside until direct fulfillment has been resolved & credited back to acct.  After spending 2 hrs on the phone for resolution due to Verizon’s negligence, it was known by of call that all proof was provided to Verizon & was evident we returned the phone to them.
    1/26/13: I found the $599.99 charge on my Verizon bill.  I called Verizon & Rita stated that my account was going be interrupted again due to with the same issue. I spent over an houyr with the Finance Dept & Rita explaining my problem all over again.  During the call, Rita stated that on 1/21/13, the warehouse confirmed the phone was returned.  I also received email confirmation from Rita which stated the following:
    Dear {Customer}, It was great talking with you. This email will guide you through the items we discussed.  Thank you for choosing Verizon Wireless.
    Credit Confirmation
    This is a confirmation that your credit has been applied. Your new account balance can be obtained by: Dial #BAL & SEND 24 hours after receiving this email
    During the same conversation, I asked Rita to transfer me to a manager but she said no manager was available. I said I would wait on hold until a manager was able to assist. Half an hour went by & Rita could not fulfill my request, so she asked if I would accept a call back from a manager on 1/28/13.  I reluctantly agreed since I received a credit confirmation from Verizon.   However, I regret agreeing to these terms since Verizon again disconnected my accounts because I missed many business teleconferences due to this. 
    Monday 1/28/13 came & went.  I never received a call back from a Verizon manager as Rita promised.  I was left without an explanation of the $599.99 charge, multiple account disconnections, unjust activation fees, unexplained disappearance of the defective phone & update on the Direct Fulfillment Refund Request.
    2/11/2013: All six of my account were deactivated once again by Verizon. I called Verizon for an explanation but was automatically transferred to Finance Dept.  Melanie advised me that I was transferred due to the non-payment of $599.99.  I stated that the issue was previously resolved because received a credit confirmation from Rita.  Melanie advised me there were no records of such confirmation.  I asked to speak to a manager since I had been going around & around in circles with customer service regarding this issue.  I was transferred to Customer Service Manager Tasha. I again explained my ordeal with the defective phone return & account deactivations related to phone number (626) ###-####.  Tasha said that warehouse had not found the phone.  I then stated to Tasha that this information was incorrect & to refer back to my call on 1/14/13.   She insisted that I provide her the tracking number & advised her that the tracking number was in the system since I received confirmation of this tracking number on 1/14/13.  I do not understand why they say the phone was in their system & take it back saying there is no tracking number nor any phone showing in their system when I received a text message from Verizon Wireless on 8/30/2012 at 900080004004 to phone number (626) ###-#### stating “VZW FREE MSG: Thank you! The defective device you recently returned has been received by Verizon Wireless.”  During my conversation with Tasha, she stated she would activate all 6 accounts & follow up with me by 2/21/13 regarding this incident after Verizon internally investigates the missing defective phone. She confirmed twice that all 6 accounts were being activated & that the $599.99 charge would not be held against my account & stated that she would have another representative submit another Direct Fulfillment Refund Request. I waited on the phone until Tasha confirmed that the request was submitted.
    2/12/2013: I found out that Tasha did not keep her word & reactivate all 6 phone lines.   2 of the 6 lines are currently not functioning as promised by Tasha.  She lied to me & gave me false hope that my accounts were going to remain in functioning status.  Due to this unjust & unreasonable reoccurring issue, I had to call Verizon Customer Service again & waste multiple hours on the phone.  I was automatically transferred to the Finance Dept to make a payment for $599.99 for the defective phone in which Verizon stated they received on 8/30/2012 & was confirmed on 1/14/13 & 1/26/13 that the warehouse received the phone & therefore the $599.99 would not be held against my account.  All this information was previously sent to me from Verizon via Text message 1/14/13. I explained this to not only one but six different representatives in which I spent over 2 hours on the phone during my work hours risking my job because Verizon keeps on making mistakes with my account. Listed are the names of the representatives that I spoke to on 2/12/13 regarding this ongoing issue:  Kevin, Joshua, Scott (Floor Financial Rep), Koni (Customer Care), Josh & Angelina (Floor Supervisor), Josh & Sharae (Irvine Call Center).  I waited a long time to get to Floor Supervisor Angelina because I was not being treated like a loyal & honest customer that I am. I returned the defective phone to them & I have all the proof that I did & still Verizon has treated me like a thief. I was then transferred to Sharae who filled out yet another Direct Fulfillment Refund Request for the warehouse. She explained that she did everything she could & stated that the Finance Dept at Verizon will not activate my other two accounts & that I would have to wait upto 72 hours for the warehouse to get back to her.  She promised a call back with an update who would then call me for an update.
    2/13/2013: I have 2 accounts suspended. No matter what proof I provide as evidence that I sent back the defective phone, Verizon will not comply with me.  The Customer Service representatives have even said they had received the phone & promised to apply the credit to my account. 
    This is very frustrating!!! I have provided hard facts & proof to show that I did my part & returned the phone but they keep disconnecting my lines & they said they have not received the defective phone at the Fort Worth, TX warehouse.  Verizon is demanding me to pay $599.99 for their deficiencies.  I am not at fault.  I have texts, email & tracking proof plus all my conversations are noted in their system that the defective phone was returned.
    I Returned the phone and show all the proofs and Verizon has all the records on file, I should not be paying for mistakes that Version wireless warehouse commits and I need this phone charge of $599.99 taken off my account and credit back to my account for all this loss time that I have spent on the phone with them & all the frustration that this has caused me & having lines deactivated & not all lines working. This is not the way to treat a loyal customer that has been with Verizon for almost 2 years. I have been treated with no respect & demand that I be free of any charges for the phone I returned and for all 6 phone lines for the month of February 2013.

    At this point I would recommeng resetting the device if if will not turn on.
    Resetting your device
    Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
