My head is about 2 explode making appleloops

im getting really fustrated. this is my method i cut a sample in peak then take it 2 apple loops utility. i click on looping and safe it. then i import it to garageband and sometimes it goes with the beat but sometimes its offbeat. am i doin this right cause when i take a loop from the loop browser it fits perfectly into any tempo.is there any easy way to make my appleloops fit in perfectly like the garageband apple loops?

i have recently purchased new IMac and the Loops in Garage Band are not working, when i click on the instrument, mood that is good, when click on the loop or try to drag to area above an update window appears telling me to update and download, there is nothing to update, they do not work so i to am so frustrated with this a well as other

My head is about to explode, I'm so angry with iTunes.

I connected itunes directly to my music folder, as suggested in this thread http://discussions.apple.com/questions.jspa, and it organized everything by artist and album, which I had long wanted to do. BUT IT CUT THE END OFF OF EVERY SONG TITLE THAT WAS OVER A CERTAIN LENGTH.
I went to check and see if the track title in the folder under properties was still the same for a couple of those songs, but they were cut off as well. Keep in mind, I have over 1000 episodes of the radio show loveline, and when there is a guest, the name is mostly cut off.
Somebody please tell me there's a way to fix this. If there is no way to fix this, itunes has essentially ruined my music collection.

I tried to ID3 tag thing. It's still going, but as an example, here is what it did to a typical loveline episode:

It cuts everything off after "Jake" While the ID3 thing is going, I've seen some track titles flash by that are longer than that, so it appears it might be working. I'll keep you posted.

My G5 won't boot up. The Gray screen comes on and it thinks about it until the fan revs up like it is about to explode. A friend said to start it up with the OS disk and then go to utilities. Didin't work. Any suggestions? Isn't there a key stroke to help

Oh, so this is where I ask my question. Sorry, first time here. As I was saying in my long intro, the gray screen come up and the thing is spinning at the bottom, but nothing happens. Then the fan starts reving up like it is about to explode and I have to manually shut it off. A friend told me to start it up with the OS disk and then go to utilities. I couldn't find the thing, so I went out and bought another. Needless to say, it didn't work. Is there a key stroke to help jump start the machine? How can I get into this thing? Your drive does need to be repaired, and best things to buy are another backup recovery drive, with a small OS X partition; a copy of Disk Warrior is expensive @ $90 but excellent and best.
Never bother with or use the drive or reinstall while there are errors. Don't take a "clean' bill from Apple Disk Utility to mean there are no errors. Only that it didn't find what it looked for.

Make sure to have multiple backup sets and of your system so if there is a serious problem, you can just erase and restore to be back runninig.
Sounds like your G5 though needs PMU reset, not PRAM, and the best way for those is to clear nvram instead. might even want to check for dust; tell what System Profile says (later) as to "PowerMacX,Y" or "MacProX,1"

The Utility menu is on the menu bar of an "OS X Install DVD" and at the point where you get to but stop at "install....' for OS X. you probably do need to install OS X on another drive to work from.
Oh, a real severe issue and damage to the drive directory or filesystem CAN in cases prevent booting from DVD (the system still tries to find and see what boot volumes are present) and can help to pull or disconnect the drive. Putting a drive in a FW case to turn on after startup is very useful.

PLEASE believe me when I say I've watched 20 YouTube videos on the subject, read the manual, reinstalled FCS on a new machine (in the event that the install or my last MBP was at fault), etc., etc....
JUST can't get FCP to make the cuts for me when I click on the angles in the viewer.
Despite making a multi-clip, open synch, green/blue boarder for audio/video angle and blue boxes for video only, rendering, etc., the same thing always happens...
When I hit the space-bar, making all the angles play @ same time in the browser, and then I click on an angle to make a real-time cut, the in-point of the selected angle pops onto the canvas (a still frame) and everything STOPS.
Happy to describe any other details; can begin to tell you how stoked I'll be if I can get past this...
(I've been reduced to trying to use iMovie to cut this 3 angle live-music performance video, which is taking HOURS for a single song...with terrible results...)

Starting over:
1) Import 3 .dv clips (all same frame size, vid rate, compression, etc.)
2) Create new bin for footage, assign angle numbers to clips
2) Add in-point for synchronization
3) Make multiclip (and synch in-points)
4) Double-click on multiclip (and it then shows in viewer)
5) Press "overwrite" to bring multiclip into timeline
6) Open playhead sync
7) Assign blue and green 'boxes' in viewer (audio/video, and video only)
8) Click into timeline, make sure playhead is to the front of the sequence
9) hit space bar to start editing.
10) NOW, whenever I click on an angle in the viewer to make an edit, playback stops and a still frame for the selected angle shows in the canvas.

Sure, I have them all written down on scraps of paper about 4"X4"--maybe 50 total--and stored under a loose floorboard beneath the kitchen sink. If they get wet from a drain leak, I can easily dry them out in a warm oven at 200° for several minutes.
Besides that, I keep some in Keychain, but most are in Firefox saved passwords. I've never felt the need to do anything else. Where it's important, I use long random strings. And I don't let Firefox save passwords for anything that involves purchases from C Cards.
(Note: I really do have the ones written down on scraps of paper that I don't want to keep in a browser, but not really under a loose flooboard, etc.)

Question about Illustrator CS5 making eps files in Mac OS 10.9.5

Hello, I am using Illustrator CS5 on a Mac. I just updates to Mac OS 10.9.5
Now when I save an simple Illustrator vector file as an eps, and place it in another program (such as Quark), I get code instead of the preview image. I tried older vector eps files, and they still work. i tried older Quark files, and they still work. I ruled out font problems. I tried importing new Illustrator ai file, same result. Any thoughts?

Ask in the AI forum and include proper details about your export settings and your artwork. EPS parsing errors usually mean you chose an unsuitable combination of settings and/or the embedded previews are botched.

HELP - My Battery is either magical, or is about to explode.

So ive been noticing that ive been getting horrrible battery life (usually just over an hour) on my macbook, even when not doing much on it. So just this afternoon i decided to calibrate it. So i used my computer normally until the battery went out and the computer shut down by itself. I checked that the battery was empty by pressing the little button on it, and there was only 1 flashing light, so it was pretty much empty. I then took the battery out and waited a few hours. Before putting it back in, i pressed the button again, and all 5 lights came on. After putting the battery back in, and not even attaching the power adapter, it says the battery is at 100%, with 10 hours remaining....

You haven't quite completed the calibration process when you pressed the button. You need to run the computer until it sleeps or shut down, then leave it in this state for about 5 hours, then fully recharge it. Your battery was not correctly calibrated before you started and you hadn't finished the calibration process so it's not surprising the number of lights was inconsistent. It's a simple case of Garbage In-Garbage Out.
Perform the full calibration process again and I expect you'll get some sensible results.

These two things I learned from JSP. Always check
parameters for null, and remember that == only works
for checking null. It does not allow you to compare
to other strings.That, oddly enough, is not entirely true. Especially in the context of this post.
The code above has something like this.

The syntax looks a little odd but given the constants are often seperated out anyways it becomes.

About the last example which is getting loan serveces endpoint info from db.
There is no receive activity in the example code. I wanna add it and make it run. Does the receive activity from the LoanService should be in or out of the while loop. If it should be out of the while, it seems as if it needs another while loop to contain the receive activity to get returning results according to the number of loan provider it has sent applications to. In this situation, how should I manipulate the returning variables? And if all of this had been done, how could I select the best offer of such a lot of returning offers?
I need your help. Thanks a million. This is very import to me.

Sorry I didn't see your question sooner. Answers to your questions:
Yes "i" is a variable (a counter for the loop). If you look a little further up in the example it shows where we're initializing that variable.
Yes the receive needs its own while loop as stated in the article -- but this is only if you're running the child services in parallel. Better yet, with 10.1.3 we have scoped partnerlinks per bpel 2.0 so you can use flowN to call a bunch of dynamic services in parallel, each with its own receive.
As for handling the results you may want to create a nodeset to store them then use xpath to select the best offer. This would be after the receive while loop (10.1.2.x) or the flowN (10.1.3) receives all the results back. Another thing that's nice in the 10.1.3 version is that you can put timers around the receive so you ignore results that don't respond in a reasonable amount of time. In 10.1.2 you can do this too by putting a timer around the while loop but it's not quite as clean as the 10.1.3 way.

Hi all,
I'm trying to find out some update info on my mid 07 MBP 2.4 (MA896LL) OR A1226. I went to iFixit to learn about installing ram myself. Speaking to them, they suggested putting a 4GB module in and leaving one GB module in or even replacing on GB module for a new 2GB thus having 6 GB of ram. They sell their own parts.
Now I thought that was a little strange, so here I am to find out definitively, how much ram can I install and will be recognized etc.

This appears to be one of the models where you can put more RAM in it than Apple says. Apple says 4GB but MacTracker and others say 6GB. This often happens when bigger modules come out after Apple completes testing and ships, although it is always limited by the motherboard itself, which is why you can't go all the way to 8GB.
There seems to be nothing wrong with what you were told. To get to 6GB you must have a 4GB module in one slot and a 2GB module in the other.

I just got called by a head hunter about a LV job

He said he got my information from the NI web site. I've looked around for ways to get information about myself to determine what info is available about me and to ensure that it is accurate. I wasn't able to find anything. I recently passed the CLAD exam, so I suspect that is where it came from. Where do I find this info? Who is able to see this info about me? What is the privacy policy concerning this info? I was surprised that the info about me was available. I don't recall granting permission to post my info. Nor did I ask that it not be posted.

My head is about to go BANG! PDF, Export Problems.

Hi guys i am in need of some urgent help, regarding formatting issues.
Basically i have a module which is consumed by web and win forms (.net), so they make exactly the same call, use exactly the same reports use the exact same dll's.
Problem is, is when i click my button in a windows form app to export it exports perfectly (Great), click essentially the same button in the web and all the text becomes squashed up forcing texts and image objects to over lap (Not Great).
I've had a good old talk to the wall and got absolutely no where, and shock horror Google is not being my friend this evening, aside from this i cant understand the logic in why it would do this to begin thinking of something to change.
I'm using Crystal Reports XI RC2 SP 3.
Any ideas??

Hi Ludek, thanks for the prompt reply, the problem seems none specific to the browser, it seems to be happening across the board. As far as the .net version, these projects are developed in version 3.5. OS wise the applications are both hosted on windows server 2008. Also just tried running an export from the browser on the server in hope that it would turn out to be a printer driver issue, but sadly to no avail.
Ohh headaches all part and parcel, well enjoy being the cabby for the evening i hope that doesn't bring on the same result.
