I am trying to watch Netflix on my Apple TV and it keeps buffering. I have restarted it several times.

ATV is wireless. DNS is set to Auto. It's not my network.
The ATV's performance with Netflix (only App I tried) was worse using Google's DNS as others have suggested. The problem with the Netflix App (for me) only occurred after the latest iOS update to ATV, and it seems to have affected only the Netflix App.
As I mentioned in my original comment, the Vizio in my room (which happens to be further from the WiFi source) runs just fine and streams Netflix with no issues. In fact, we can run it while simultaneously streaming on the ATV and the Vizio Netflix App still doesn't skip a beat. I can simultaneously run two or three other laptops on WiFi (since my wife and I both work from home) and she'll have the Vizio streaming the entire time and there are no issues.
If we switch the ATV to Hulu+ (or other Apps), it runs fine, but the shows my kids want to watch are on Netflix. All indications point to the Netflix App and an issue endemic to Apple.

What you do mean a lock icon?
On the whole screen or just in the status bar where it shows "iPod" and Time/Battery?
If the icon's there everything's ok. The feature was removed in iOS 6, anyways, the icon should be only in the lock screen.

My touch screen isn't working and stopped working after I went running with it. I have restarted it multiple times and restored it on my MacBook. It will still not let me slide it to even look at the phone. Please help ASAP.

Hi WiseJD - All other aspects of phone work fine. It is just when I wish to purchase on itues that my id and password was suddenly no longer accepted. After updating to Mavericks I can't open iTunes. I keep getting a popup telling me to unclick "run in 32- bit mode" in iTunes info. I have done that several times and rebooted. Everything else seems to be working fine.

After following directions several times to go to Finder, iTunes, Get info and "unclick 32-bit mode" it still won't work and i keep getting the smae pop up window. I've rebooted several times also.

What version of iTunes do you have? The current version of iTunes for Mavericks is 11.1.5 and the default mode is 64 bit. If "Open in 32 bit mode" is checked and you cannot uncheck it are you logged on using an account with administrative priveleges?
