I have Made an In-App Purchase which did work but for some reason it says
"You've already purchased this but it hasn't been downloaded. Tap Ok to download it now" but nothing happens... please help

Issy2090Your past purchases are not on the computer. By choosing download all, those purchases will download to the computer.
Once authorized to your iTunes account you can control the computer.
When syncing the iPad the first time you will get the warning " this iPad is synced with another computer, syncing will erase all contents and replace with the contents of this computer"

I had no problem being connected to the store and browsing. I eventually bought a CD but it won't download it. It won't download podcasts either. It tells me that I don't have the privilege to do so and to connect my network settings. This is the first time I'm using my MacBook Pro with iTunes. What is wrong?

Why it's like that I don't think that Apple have said (these are user-to-user forums). If you haven't downloaded it on your iPad then have you checked to see if you can download it on your computer's iTunes (Store > Check For Available Downloads menu option) or Apple TV ?
If it doesn't show on either of them then you can try contacting iTunes Support and see if they will let you download it on a different computer/device or refund or credit you : http://reportaproblem.apple.com

I have rented a movie on the iPad but I don't have enough memory for it to download - so I wanted to make it available on my Apple TV - looking at the FAQ it doesn't look like I am allowed to do this! My Ipod mini will not produce sound. I have reset it, still no sound. The only thing that I think might be causing this (and I want to know if I am correct) I carried it in my hand while walking in extream heat. The perspiration may have gotten in the device.
Be sure to try another set of headphones, if you have one.
Since you already did a Reset, the next thing you can try is to go to the Settings screen on the iPod (from the main screen). There should be an option at the bottom that says something like Reset All Settings. Choose that option to reset iPod to default settings.
If that does not bring back the sound, the next thing to try is a Restore in iTunes. Select the iPod in the iTunes sidebar, under DEVICES. Over to the right, go to the Summary tab. The Restore button is there. This will erase the iPod, re-install its software, and set it to default settings. If the cause is a software or settings glitch, a Restore should fix it. Try putting a few songs on the iPod to check if there is improvement.
If that does not bring back the sound, it is probably a hardware problem. A fix would then require replacing whatever part is faulty inside the iPod. It could be the headphone jack or something on the logic board. Moisture getting inside could have caused the problem, but it could just be age; maybe the headphone jack is just worn out. -

Well, everything that you have bought with her Apple ID prior to getting your own Apple ID is forever hers. Apple will not transfer content from one ID to another. But in the case of the Mac, contact iTunes Customer Service and request that they send your issue to the Account Security Team and ask that the Mac be released form your mother's account so you may register it with your account. Then you can accept the iLife apps into your account for any future updates.

So you want to use the app in a different account than you bought it with. If that is the case you need to contact the Mac App Store support. You will find the link for that in the Mac App Store by clicking Featured - Under Quick Links you will see the Support link. Follow that for help.

The iPad is looking for a 4 digit passcode that you used to lock the device. Did you set a 4 digit code when you set up your iPad? You need to enter that code in order to unlock it. If you don't know the code, you will have to restore the iPad in order to unlock it.

You are mixing different issues. I will address Numbers.
Has Numbers ever been installed on this new Mac? Did you have the Mac App Store version of Numbers or did you have the DVD version of Numbers?
You should be able to redownload a previous purchase of the Mac App Store version of Numbers from the Purchases pane after signing into your account.
If you had the DVD version, then you will need to install that from the DVD media.
