My iPad is not connecting to wifi when any other device is. what do I do?
My iPad shows that it is connected to the wifi at my house, but when I try to load anything, it doesn' t work.
On Safari, it says "Safari cannot open the page because it could not establish a secure connection to the server." And Google Chrome gives me a similar message.
What do I do? I tried resetting the ipad and turning the router off and on again.
Try the following steps.
Go to settings> general> reset>reset network settings.
once the reset is complete, try joining the WiFi network again.. you may need to type in the WiFi key again

Why can't I connect my iPad to the server when all other devices can?
You may not really be connected to your WiFi network.
Your router may not have given your iPad a valid IP address. Go to Settings > Wifi > your network name and touch the ">" to the right to see the network details. If the IP address starts with 169 or is blank then your router didn't provide an IP address and you won't be able to access the Internet.
Sometimes the fix can be as simple as restarting your router (remove power for 30 seconds and restart). Next, reset network settings on your iPad (Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings) and then attempt to connect. In other cases it might be necessary to update the router's firmware with the latest from the manufacturer's support web pages.
If you need more help please give more details on your network, i.e., your router make, model and version, the wifi security being used (WEP, WPA, WPA2), etc. -
Need help. Before updating to latest software iOS6 the iPad had no issues connecting on our home router. After updating the iPad will not work. We have a mini iPad with same issue. But I have a iPhone 4S that I chose not to update to iOS6, still has iOS5. It connects no problem to router. Our computers have no issues connecting to router either. There is a software issue with iOS6.0.1 that will not allow certain routers to communicate. What can I do? Also, the mini iPad stated a newer version of software is out, version 6.0.2 which is supposed to correct the wifi problems. It has helped but still haven't connectivity issues. However, the iPad states software is up-to-date so we cannot update to 6.0.2 even through connecting to computer on iTunes. How can that be?

Have you tried a 'hard reset'. You do not lose any of your data on the iPad.
Here are the steps:
Press the Power Buton and the Home button simultaneously.
Continue to hold down both buttons until the iPad shuts off
Release the buttons when the Apple Logo appears.
Also, make sure your iPad is not in airplane mode. Settings, Airplane mode is the first option under settings,

I have updated my iPod and it deleted everything including my photos and I did not save my photos on any other device, How do I get them back?
You didn't import all of your pics regularly? Particularly before an update?
They may very well be gone.
You can try restoring from backup. -
I cannot upgrade my IPad 2 with IOS.70, the download appeared to be complete but while it was verifing a "not connected to WIFI" message appeared yet IPad was connected and working. Not sure what is wrong, even tried to turn off Advast VPN thinking that was the issue but cannot complete upgrade.
try resetting your phone by turning it off and back on again. Also try resetting your network settings under Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

I know my WiFi connection is working fine but I can't get the Ipad to connect to it. Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

This will return all iDevice settings to factory defaults... you will not lose any data.... But you will have to re-enter all of the device settings. -

If your wi-fi network, try resetting the wireless router and modem. Disconnect the wireless router from the power source followed by disconnecting the modem from the power source. Wait a few minutes followed by re-connecting the modem to the power source and allow the modem to completely reset before re-connecting the wireless router to the power source and allow it to reset with the modem before trying again. -
How disabled ipad could not connect to wifi
I have more than 1000 IPAd for students in school and i am using MDM to clear passcode for student devices who had forgettin the passcode , when the device is disabled and netwrok sign still appear the clear passcode is working fine , once this device has lost the connection to wifi or rebooted the netwrok sign is disappeared and MDM could not see the device.

I used to be able to receive FaceTime calls when ipad was in sleep mode but ever since this past update I don't. I had problems like everyone else wi connecting to the Internet but I was able to fix that. Is there any way the ipad can stay connected while in sleep mode.

HT1695 my ipad will not connect to wifi but my iphone 4 will connect to same wifi network
i have an ipad but for some reason it will not connect to my wifi network. It is showing my network on the network page but will not connect to it just shows the circular icon loading. i have an iphone 3g and an iphone 4 they both connect to the same wifi network everytime no problem, the ipod used to connect to the same wifi network but not anymore ive tried re set etc but still nothing can anyone help thanks

Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
