My iphone 3G keeps turning off, has blank black screen or a white shiny screen. I need to put phone on charge and press off button for a long period. It seems to come and go for no reason. The slightest movement could turn it off....
My phone has been doing this for about a week. It started for no reason. Hadn't been dropped.
It could be the battery is coming to the end of its life.

Your photo stream photos will still go to your Mac, and will appear in iPhoto. Furthermore, checking Automatic Import as shown in the image above will automatically add them to your iPhoto library so they aren't deleted.
Unchecking Automatic Upload will stop iPhoto from automatically adding photos in your library to photo stream
The other thing you should check is the Photos tab of your iTunes sync settings. Connect your phone to your computer and open iTunes. Then click on the name of your phone in iTunes and click on the Photos tab. Here, make sure you haven't checked "Sync Photos from iPhoto" and selected "All photos, albums, Events, and Faces" as shown in this image (click on the image to see a larger version):
If you have, you are syncing all your iPhoto photos to your phone when you sync with iTunes. If you've done this, you can uncheck "Sync Photos from iPhoto" and sync again and they will be removed from your phone. -
It can be on any site or multiple sites. I usually have multiple tabs & windows open. I have checked the version and It tells me that it is up to date. I have removed all add-ons and reset it. What else can I do?

If you have a case or any other accessories you're using with the iPhone, try testing without them. Also, try the suggestions in this article:

Resolution
If a single application is not responding or stops responding when it opens, you can force it to close.

If there is no video or if the screen remains black, verify that the device has enough charge to turn on:

The "fix" is to get the phone repaired. There's no magic solution for a broken phone.
Bring your phone ant $149 to Apple for an out of warranty replacement, or find a 3rd party repair shop near you. -

sounds like a hardware issue with the battery
1. you can try different chargers if you have any
2. while plugged in, Hold the Home+Power at the same time for about 20 secs, if the apple comes up then release both buttons
3.if that doesn't work you may have to go into Apple store -

TksTry doing a Dock restart using the following Terminal command:
killall Dock
Log out/in and test. If that doesn't work.
You need to look in your user Library/Applications Support/Dock for the .db. Hold down the option key while using the Finder “Go To Folder” command. Enter ~/ Library/Applications Support/Dock. Move the .db to your desktop.
If you prefer to make your user library permanently visible, use the Terminal command found below.

You might want to bookmark the command. I had to use it again after I installed 10.8.4. I have also been informed that if you drag the user library to Finder it will remain visible.
Then try a dock reset.
Applications/Utilities/Terminal enter the command
killall Dock
Log out/in test. If it works okay, delete the .db from the desktop.
If the Dock is the same, return the .db to where you got them from, overwriting the newer ones. -

Hi, I have backed up 2 IMACs and one Mac Book Pro but for some reason, the 3rd IMAC come up with this problem: The backup disk image “/Volumes/Data/Anthony’s iMac.sparsebundle” could not be accessed (error -1). Why? The computer system is up to date and I have had no issue with the other computers, just this one.

My iphone 4s automatically getting turned off (blank black screen) and not getting started until full battery discharge. Even on long pressing power button - screen doesn't showing anything - not even "needs charging logo".
