My iPhone 4's battery is dying at 73% and I don't understand why. Anyone have any ideas on what I could do?

I've had my iPhone 4 for 9 months now and it's never given me problems. But now the battery goes to zero even though it's stilled very much charged. So I was hoping maybe someone had some idea if there was something I could do to fix it, or should I just go to apple and get it replaced?

Did you update to iOS 4.3.5??
I have battery discharge problems since.

Having the same problem. I updated and my phone suddenly showed minimal battery power and turned off. Now I it is stuck in a power cycle and won't boot up, gets to the apple screen and cycles power. You might try a forced shutdown to begin with, hold down the top and home buttons together until the device shuts down, then restart it.
First check that your device is correctly connected to the wifi/internet (settings > wifi)
If your back up continually fails, you might try turning off back up on your mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup) and then deleting the backup file from iCloud by swiping the backup file on the mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup > manage…) and then turning back up on again.
If this doesn't help, try turning off some items for back up in a pattern to try to establish if your problem is being caused by specific data on your device.
Being able to back up to the cloud can be very useful, especially if you don't have access to a computer or have infrequent access to one, however unless you specifically need to use iCloud for back up, you will find backing up to iTunes significantly more convenient and possibly more reliable.

My iPhone 3G will not turn on, but iTunes recognizes it to sync. Does anyone have any idea what might be going on? This was a sudden occurance-phone worked without issue before.

This afternoon I was used my iPhone 3G. I then put it aside (it was left on) for about an hour. When I went to use it again, nothing happens. The home button will not call up the lock screen. The lock button will not turn the phone on, off, or lock it. When I plug it into iTunes, it recognizes it to sync. Also if someone tries to call me it will ring on their end, but nothing on my end.
The iPhone is over two years old (purchased in April 2009), so it is out of warranty. Also, everything is up to date on the iPhone.
Does anyone have any idea what the issue might be?

What iPhone do you have? You can check in settings>>general>> about.
If you have a 3G you cannot update beyond iOS 4.2.1. The 3G is over 4 years old an was discontinued over 2 1/2 years ago. You need the latest ios to run the latest versions of some apps. If you have a 3GS you can update.
If your phone is not responding, reset it by pressing and holding down both the home button ad lock/ sleep button simultaneously until the Apple logo appears.

There are a lot of posts in the forums today with people having problems with iMessage. There was also a published outage yesterday, so it's possible there are still some issues that may be impacting you both.
I would just wait it out - I'm sure it will be sorted out soon.

If it's a legitimately unlocked iPhone, you can use it on AT&T or T-Mobile if you like. You can not bring your own iPhone to any CDMA carrier (Verizon, Sprint, etc).
If it was originally sold in the Middle East, Facetime is permanently disabled.

Your battery experience is unusual. While I don't use my phone a lot it is on 24/7. The mists I've seen my battery run down is to abut 45% after 10 hours offi the charger.
Here's how to reset (reboot) your phone. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart.
If that is what you did I suggest making an appointment at and Apple store for a consultation.

ITunes is just ********. I synced my iPhone Ina new computer trying to it more music on there and it just deleted everything. I had backed it up just before but when I tried to restore my iPhone it said the back up hadn't completed. Anyone have any ideas?

As always, iphone will sync with one comptuer at a time. Syncing to another will erase the current content.
The backup that itunes performs does not include any itunes content. You should keep everything on your computer and should always maintain a backup copy of your computer.
You should copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one.

Settings >> Mail, Contacts. Calendars >> Organise by Thread. Switch to OFF to see every individual email in the Inbox.
