my iphone was stolen this mornong and i've already saved the serial number and the IMEI number and unfortunatly ididn't reg. at the mobileMe program....
can i use any other way to find my iphone without using MobileMe ..?
My wife just lost hers last Monday.. We didn't have the "Find My iPhone" app installed.. So it's gone unless someone would be nice enough to call us and return it should they find it..
I have the Find my iPhone app on both my other iPhones now.. and as soon as replace my wife's it will be on hers also..
Be sure to do that first thing..

If you still have the receipt or other proof of purchase, you can ask Apple to send you the serial. Otherwise, bad luck mate.. Good news is, you can now buy Logic Pro 9 from App Store for just 199 USD

I like the new iOS 7 for iphone... But i think it's not a good idea to allow switch the iphone on flight mode when it is locked.. What happens if your iphone is stolen or lost? You couldn't be able to locate it using find my iphone... Can i remove this from the bottom menu?
And have your phone set to require a passcode before it can be accessed.

If you set up the Find My iPod service prior to the iPod going missing, then there is a chance that can be tracked, though it depends on a number of factors (the iPod is turned on, connected to a WiFi network, and has not had the Find My iPod service disabled). Log into icloud.com and go to the Find My iPhone section. Then contact the police, giving them any location information you get.
If you did not set up Find My iPod, then there is no way to track it. Notify the police and change any passwords for any online accounts you may have used from your iPod (the iTunes Store, for instance).

Cloud programs do not use serial numbers... you log in to your paid Cloud account to download & install & activate... you MAY need to log out of the Cloud and restart your computer and log back in to the Cloud for things to work

Stolen ipod on thursday. i have serial number and all other info
My ipod was 'stolen' this thursday at school. Today is tuesday. Is it not possible to track my ipod's current ip address with the serial number and such? And I did reported the missing ipod to my school. What else can I do? I can report it to the police. But how do I do that? And its rather late so I don't know if anyone will listen now. I'm already a couple of days late in reporting so the chances of me not ever finding my ipod is bigger. I also plan on contacting the Apple media helpline (408)-974-2042 and ipod technical support (800)-275-2273 tomorrow morning. Also, is the same serial number in my receipt engraved into my ipod?

I will then have them call ipod technical support (800)-275-2273 because apparently if I give them my ipod's serial number AND someone happened to plug it into a computer, they can find it. If you had not turned on Find My iPad before it was lost, there isn't a way to locate it. There are some suggestions in the "If Find My iPhone isn't enabled" section near the bottom regarding changing passwords and other steps. -
