My iPod and entire iTunes library were replaced by an old, old library that I had deleted a long time ago. How do I reverse this?
When iTunes opened automatically and started syncing the moment I turned on my laptop, it asked me if I wanted to "Erase and Sync" or "Transfer Purchases." I clicked "Erase and Sync," because the last few times I'd done this (it's a recurring problem for some reason), it worked out fine and nothing was affected badly.
But this time, everything that I deleted months ago resurfaced, even though I didn't even have them as backup. Songs, podcasts, TV shows, playlists.
Please help me. I'm not great with technology or anything, and this is really frustrating me.
Not sure about the CD burning issue but you can turn off the listing of your past purchases. Edit > Preferences > Store > Untick Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases.

I used a projecteor a while back in a Power Point presentation. Now my menus for Adobe are very small and hard to read. The print command is so compressed that I cannot read or use it. How do I fix this problem?
There is no application called "Adobe" - you are either working with Adobe Acrobat or the free Adobe Reader. Open up the preferences for the application (Edit>Preferences), then go to the "General" category and modify the settings for "Scale for screen resolution". You will have to restart the application after you do that. Does that fix your problems?

I was trying to turn off iTunes Match on my iPhone and first turned Match off on my MacBook rather than on my iPhone (which was wrong, I should have just turned it off on the iPhone). I had ~28,000 songs in my library when I turned off iTunes Match; I had deleted ~8,000 of those files from my laptop (which I backed up on a portable hard disk) but I left the deleted files in my library, so that I could play them through iTunes Match. One of the benefits of Match, right? Saving hard drive space. So I turned off iTunes Match on my MacBook thinking that was how to turn it off on the iPhone (it wasn't), and when I turned Match back on, those ~8,000 songs were not in my library. I tried to update Match several times but can't seem to get the songs back. I know they are still in the cloud somewhere though, because if Match restarted then it would match/upload all of my remaining ~20,000 songs - but it hasn't, I still have thousands of "exceeded limit" songs. Anyone know how I can get those songs back?

I would not use iTunes Match as a backup. There are too many bugs and I don't think that's what they intended it to be anyway. The main advantage of using it is to make your music available on OTHER devices, not to replace the music on your original computer. -
I have a new ipod and added all my apps to it. When I sign in to Words with Friends it says that "user name is already in use" because it is linked to my old ipod. How can I use the same user name with my new ipod?

Downgrading to a previous version of iOS is not supported. If you have installed software to perform unauthorized modifications to your iOS device, that software may have redirected connections to the update server (gs.apple.com) within the Hosts file. First you must uninstall the unauthorized modification software from the computer, then edit out the "gs.apple.com" redirect from the hosts file, and then restart the computer for the host file changes to take affect. For steps to edit the Hosts file and allow iTunes to communicate with the update server, see iTunes: Troubleshooting iTunes Store on your computer, iPhone, iPad, or iPod—follow steps under the headingBlocked by configuration (Mac OS X / Windows) > Rebuild network information > The hosts file may also be blocking the iTunes Store. So today I update my iTunes on the laptop to iTunes 11. But, now all of my music is GONE. It's still saved in the laptop but now I have no idea how to import it all? Plus, all of my old music that I had previously deleted, reappeared.. So I deleted all of it and now I have nothing..
I had the same problem, cloud purchased music was gone from my computer after upgrading. But I read some more support stuff and they suggested removing the songs from your computer but don't delete the file and then you can download again from the cloud. Otherwise I wasn't getting the option to download - no need to rebuy music. Apple needs to know this was a problem though! Hope this is helpful to you. It is a pain but saving alot of frustration as to how to get it back. Good luck.

I restarted my IPod touch and when it comes to sign in with your apple ID, it will not let me it say cannot sign in, there is a problem with the server. Hooked to computer it came up with error 0x8000003 what do I do now to get this fixed?

My HP Compct laptop was dying a slow death so I had to reset it to its original factory settings. Now iTunes thinks it is a different computer, any idea how I can rectify it?
Yeah I have the original CDs. And I have backed up some stuff. But shouldn't things like safari and itunes be working anyway? The applications are there, they just won't open. Someone told me would lose my preferences and just had to update them again, but I can't do so cause safari doesn't work and internet explorer won't let me get on certain sites...

When I go to gmail the name of one of my accounts and the password are already written in. I don't want this particular account to be the "default". I want another of my accounts to be the "default". I can't find out how to fix this situation. Going into settings on these accounts doesn't seem to help. Basically I want to undefault one account. Help. This is very frustrating as to get into the account that I want I have to write the account name and password in manually every time. I'm so frustrated that I will stop using Firefox if I can't fix it and go back to Safari which I really don't want to do.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect to your computer & click on the "Update your device using iTunes".
Tip - You may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily. Then download and install the iOS update. After you update to iOS 5.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).

Go to http://appleid.apple.com and log in with the ID you are asking about. You will see the address which forms the login on the page: click 'Edit' next to it and change it to a working email address (not an Apple on) - though if it is in fact an Apple address itself (i.e. @mac.com, @me.com or @icloud.com) you can't change it.

Hello! I have one iTunes library on my iPod and one iTunes library on my computer. When I connect my iPod touch to my PC, however, I cannot find any files in my iPod except for pictures. How can I find the music files so I can add them to my iTunes?
You can't do that.
And before you decide to store any music that you own on a computer at work, talk to your IT department. Many organizations do not permit it for legal reasons. Standard policies are that anything stored on company owned computers is the property of the company. It could not be legally stored on their machines unless you transfer the licenses and all copies, physical and digital, to the company, meaning you no longer own the music. If they were to be audited and could not prove that they own the music, they would be subject to copyright violation penalties. Just use your iPod when you're at the office if you want to listen to music. -

Go to www.ecamm.com and d/l PhoneView.
To prevent a sync when plugging in the iPod/iPhone - hold down the 'option' and the 'command' keys when plugging in the iPod/iPhone - key the keys down until the iPod/iPhone is listed under the Devices list in iTunes - this will prevent a sync from taking place.
With PhoneView you can take the content from the device to the iTunes library.
