It's fairly common for headphones after extensive use (5+ years). If you have another set of headphones (any type with same connector), try it with the iPod to determine if the fault is on the headphones or on the iPod. Or you can try the same headphones with another device, to see if they are working fine or you get the same audio problem.

One common cause of this is interference...try searching for other WiFi networks near you, see what channels they are using. Most folks just turn on their routers & the default channel is usually channel 1. You can try changing channels, with 1, 6 or 11 being the best, but find a channel that no network near you is using. See if that fixes things.

Im pretty sure what you are looking at is Set up Assistant where it shows different languages on the slider. If I am right then just slide to unlock and follow the prompts to choose your language, country etc.

The ipod 'harms ipod' is synced with another itunes library.Do you want to erase this ipod and sync with this itunes library? An ipod can be synced with only one itunes library at a time. Erasing and syncing replace the contents of this ipod with the contents of this itunes library.

Windows XP can't import video files larger than 500 MB using Camera and Scanner Wizard. You can transfer these files from your device by selecting them in My Computer and dragging or copying the files to your computer's hard drive. -

As Peter says above, only an Apple Store genius can advise you.
But to further clarify, you seem to postulate that if Apple helps you, the cure would be a replacement. That is not necessarily true. Let them look at it and advise you what the remedy is. They may offer you nothing (saying it's your fault), or they may offer you a solution (keeping your current iPhone), or possibly a replacement. -

No it is not common.
Most have no issues.
Have you tried basics from the manual? Restart, reset, restore?

All your media should be in iTunes so you can sync using iTunes to get the music over. If you have any purchases from the iTunes Store you may transfer them to your iTunes library.

Hi! I have a 5.5-year-old Macbook4.1, and I've been having problems with the display. I googled the problem and found out that I've got a wonky inverter cable. Apparently, the part itself is relatively cheap, but the labor (which involves taking nearly the whole laptop apart) means that the repair is expensive. The quote I got (in Germany, where I live) is 200 euros.
My laptop has been functioning just fine besides the display problem, but since it's already so old, it seems to make sense to buy a new laptop rather than repairing this one. However, someone told me that I should contact Apple first and see if they might cut me a deal on the repair, since I'm an existing customer and they'd want to keep me happy. I tried doing this through the Apple Support site, but I'd have to pay $50 to do that, which seems to defeat the purpose. Going to an Apple store is also prohibitively expensive, since there aren't any very close to me.
So my question is this. Does anyone see any reason why I shouldn't buy a new laptop? The one I would probably end up buying is about $550 (not a Mac), so it's more money than I'd pay for the repair, but...you know. Sunk costs, and all that. I'd be appreciative of any opinions!
Sidenote: in case anyone doubts my diagnosis, here's a description of the problem. When my screen is open, I can see a very faint picture on the display, but the screen is pretty much dark. When I slowly tilt the screen as if to close it, the picture suddenly comes back. So when the laptop is open at any angle more than about 45 degrees, the display is dark.go on give it a go! what have you got to lose;

Hello, i have a 3 year old Macbook Pro which have been great use to me. When i first purchased it, the boot up time was extremely fast, and the general speed of the mac was superb. However 3 years later the machine take at least 3 mins to boot up and is pretty slow when i use it to carry out my daily tasks.
It originally came with Tiger but i upgraded to Leopard, basically i'm after advice on how i can increase the speed or how to make my mac as fast as it was 3 years ago. anyway help or information would be greatly appreciated. Do a Parameter RAM reset - hold down apple/option/p/r keys at start up and wait for three chimes before releasing the keys.
Use Disc Inventory X to examine your hard drive and see a) if there's anything there taking a lot of space you can delete and b) that you still have 10%+ free space.
Consider doing a clean install of the OS and all Applications, it's a lot of work but is the one sure way of "starting over" -
Why do months and even years old episodes of podcasts get downloaded when a feed is refreshed?
I'm wondering why tonight it seems that several dozen episodes from months and years of a show's whose feed was refreshed and updated this morning, are being automatically downloaded? And there is no rhyme or reason as there are gaps in the feed in between the last show, and the shows being downloaded.
Why is this happening, as it is pretty much rendering the program useless as it uses up too much CPU space and it is listed as "Not Responding" in the task manager.Ya I have noticed old podcasts showing up in my listing from time to time. Simple way to sort of stop it is go into your preferences for Podcasts. Change to only download the latest of the new Podcasts rather than all. Then next time your iTunes finds a whole bunch of "new" podcasts, they will all show up in your list as greyed out (not yet downloaded) listings and only the most recent one will download, which is probably the one you want anyway.
The previous ones can either be ignored or you can select the greyed out link and delete them, although they might reappear.
