My iPod touch 5th gen has 4.0GB left and it won't update or download apps. it took 2 weeks to download 3 of them what do I do?
when I went to go update instagram it says "cannot download at this time" and it's been like this for days. when I hit the option 'done' it says it updated but it didn't. help????

I've had my iPod touch 5th gen in a Lifeproof case and was taking some pictures, and lo and behold, the case seal leaked. I got water inside my case and immediately turned my iPod off and placed it in rice. After two weeks of drying in rice in a warm environment, I removed it and decided to try it out again. Much to my chagrin, my iPod would not turn on and could not be placed in recovery mode; I've tried to place it in both recovery and DFU mode, if only for some response, but nothing. It displays no screen image, no error message, nothing. It shows up in iTunes just as normal, with the name, and I can even view the sync menus for the device. However, I cannot access any pictures (my iPod has a passcode that must be entered first, and to enter the passcode I would have to turn the device on, which is so far impossible).
PLEASE HELP. Lifeproof will replace my case but not my device, and I have several weeks of photos, lots of music, and unsynced apps. (I know I should have backed up more recently, but life gets busy and I wasn't anticipating such a problem).- Inspect the dock connector on the iPod for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic. It could be that the water corroded the contacts so try to clean any corrosion from them.
- Then charge overnight and try what you did before
If still does not work:
Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for $99 for 16 GB 5G and $149 for the other 5Gs.. They do not fix yours.

How come my iMessages aren't sending anymore I have a iPod touch 5th gen. It was working and then like 5 minutes later it would not send any messages it always said not delivered even when I press retry and it doesn't send at all I even updated my iOS to iOS 7.04 to see if it will send my iMessages but it won't. Periodically double click the home button and close all the apps in the recently used dock. Then power off and then back on the iPod. This frees up memory.

After updating to iOS 7, iPod touch 5th gen randomly partially blue screened and then restarted.
I was using my iPod touch 5th generation to listen to a podcast through the podcast app and searching the ebay app for some stuff and three quarters of the screen turned blue and part of the top of the blue part showed alternating colours of between what was on the screen and blue. Then my iPod restarted (and took a long time at that) and then it was just as if my iPod had restarted. Please help. This is first and only time that this has happened and nothing else was open on my iPod.

I just got this thing for my birthday after having two 160GB classics stolen in a row and I'm beyond stoked to have my music back. It worked great for a few days and after putting some music on one day, I ejected (safely) it and then unplugged it. NO MUSIC ON THE IPOD.I plug it back in frantically and see that ALL THE MUSIC I put on IS STILL ON THE DEVICE according to ITUNES. However when I open up that sweet music app I've got about 15 songs. My heart has been crushed and another apple product has done be dirty. I have faith in this 4 day old device still. Please help me before I smash it up and throw a piece at every apple store.
Additional info - I just downloaded the new iTunes (12.1) Maybe then new version is Satan in disguise. The new red logo is pretty convincing however, it was only after I used 12.1 that this happened. It would surprise me the latest and greatest version shorts me. Please help me get my music working again so I can stop complaining about Apple products for awhile.Yep the problem is with the new iTunes update (12.1.0.50 for the Mac version, I don't recall the number of the Windows version) and the worst part is that I don't think there's a way to solve the problem except for waiting for the next update hoping it will correct this bug.
It happened to me too, and to many other users: every time I try to sync the device (I use a 4th gen iPod touch), all of the songs get deleted. I have to put sync them all again (and I have a HUGE number of songs, so it's extremely annoying).
I tried putting in DFU mode, safe starting, restoring both from backup and as a new iPod on many computers, but nothing of that solved the problem.
I spoke to an Apple technician but he knew nothing about it, he suggested me there was a problem with my computer (that's impossible, it's brand new, and the problem occurs on other computers too! What's the chance of having the same damage on two different machines - a Mac and a PC - at the same time?)
Finally, I noticed that if I sync my iPod on a computer with an older version of iTunes the problem doesn't happen.
All of this was nearly a month ago... still no updates :\ -
My ipod touch 5th gen has no sound through usb hookup-car
I Have a kenwood ddx 370 touch screen HU installed in my car, and i can'y get sound from my speakers when its in ipod mode, and the wires are plugged in to the HU. I used to own a iphone 4, and a iphone 4s that both worked. now this issue is strange with not getting sound, as everything else works.
it charges, it is recognized by the HU, displays all the album art song etc, but just not hearing the sound.
my radio, xm radio cd and all that work fine. its strange how the phone does everything on the radio but have sound coming out of speakers. when i just use the aux cable i get the sound, but none from usb/ipod option. anyone familiar with this, and how to fix this?

I have an iPod 5th Generation and the home button is jammed down! It felt sticky earlier but now it's stuck down. I used it when the home button wasn't working and had to use my notifications to change from app to app (as I didn't know about assistive touch). I turned it off, but now the power button is no longer responsive! The button isn't stuck, but it doesn't work anymore. It was working fine before, but now it won't respond. Please help!

DESPERATE PLEASE HELP So my mother got herself an iPod touch 5g for Christmas and barely asked me to set it up last night, (BRAND NEW NOT OPENED YET).. I set it up not plugged into iTunes (directly on iPod). I was setting up a new iTunes account for her (got passed Wi-fi set up and location services) and as I was doing that, it mysteriously froze somehow.
