My Mac Air is showing only 1.85GB of storage left despite the fact that I deleted almost all my photos. What's up with it?
I have been getting low on storage on my 11" Air. I set up a dropbox account and slung all my photos across but didn't realise that it would sync to hard drive. I've now unsynced my photos and they don't show in the documents of the Air.. I still only have 1.85GB storage. I don't know how to liberate any more or if it's o.k. to run it on this little.. what should it be? Confused. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Then you can see what's in use where, then determine what needs to still be deleted.

My daughter's 13" late 2011 MacBook Pro has frozen (null sign displays) after Yosemite installation. I can, however, boot from a clone of my MacBook Air that is on an external drive. I reinstalled Yosemite on the MBP HD, but it still hangs in mid install. Despite the fact that I can boot from the external, could it be the RAM that's the problem? I'd happily put 8 GB in if it seems probable that would solve the problem. I've tried all the suggested procedures that I've seen posted here. Disk Utility, and my older version of DiskWarrior indicate the HD is OK. I have DiskWarrior 5 on order.
Boot the MBP with the OPTION key down. If successful, you should see two HDD icons, Select the recovery partition (on the right).
From the 4 option menu select Disk Utility.
Run Disk Utility>First Aid, Verify and Repair.
If the disk cannot be repaired, it will have to be replaced.

IE showing Flash Player status disabled, despite the fact that it's enabled in Manage Add Ons.
I uninstalled Flash Player version 13 on Windows 8 and then re-installed Flash Player version 11.7.700.275. After the successful installation message, I restarted the computer, but when I access the URL 'http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player.html' it says, Your Flash version: Disabled. Despite the fact that IE is showing it enabled in Manage Add-Ons. Please help.

my mac air is showing recoveryfiles folder in trash every time i restart/start my computer and another problem is all the browsers are showing me mac keeper advertisement prominently.. how to get rid of thiese problems? pl. help.The recovered files are due to an application that fails to clean up its temporary files before exiting. Microsoft products are notorious for this.
Quit Safari. Relaunch it by holding down the shift key and clicking its icon in the Dock. That will stop the ad page from reloading automatically. Select Safari ▹ Preferences ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove all website data to get rid of any cookies or other data left by the server. -

The screen is completely blank in the app ? Have you tried closing the app via the phone's taskbar and/or done a soft-reset to see if it then displays anything ?

Soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the equivalent of a reboot. -
The zooming function on the trackpad stopped working on my Mac Air OSX 10.9.3. I've already checked the trackpad preferences to make sure I didn't inadvertently alter something. It worked fine in the morning then when I woke my computer in the afternoon the zoom no longer worked. I use this function constantly so I hope something is not broken.

Sure it's possible.
Go to System Preferences (under the Apple logo on the top left of the menu).
Choose "Display". There's a slider bar for the screen brightness. Adjust it and you're all set. -

Thank you for the question. It sounds like you are only seeing the 2 most recent days of your web browsing history in Safari.
If you haven't tried this yet, I suggest going to History > Show All History when Safari is open to see if more sites come up. You can find this step and more information at the following link:

Sounds to me like a hardware issue or maybe something is stuck in the headphone jack. When you plug in headphones, the jack in the iPad is switched to play only through the headphones and not the iPad's speakers. Sounds like either the jack is faulty or there is something stuck in the headphone jack. Get a flashlight & look inside the jack for anything that looks like it doesn't belong in there.
Regardless, I'd take it in to an Apple Store if you have one nearby to have it checked.
EDIT: "Ocean20" had an excellent suggestion above. While doing that, you may also want to rotate/twist the plug in the jack back & forth a few times as well. Dirty contacts can often times be cleared by doing this.
