My mum has an iPad 1, the email programme will not open properly. If you click on the icon it opens only for a few seconds but then shuts. In that few seconds you cant select anything that you see on screen. Any ideas? Thanks

If the Reset Ian mentioned doesn't work...
Shut down and restart the Mail app...
- From any Home Screen, double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
- Tap and hold any icon in this list until they wiggle
- Press the red to delete the Mail app from this list.
- Press the home button twice when done.
- Restart the Mail app

I figured out the issue. The Text Tool was displayed but it was off the bottom of the screen. I had to resize the window from the bottom to display the Text Tool. To do so I had to move the dock to the left and then learn that by using the Option key it is possible to change window size on both edges.

I am having the same problem. Did turning off iCloud work? Did you just turn everything off or did you actually delete the account off your iPod?

I installed an Extreme in place of an old Express, the various phones and Ipads seem to work on the WiFi but the Mac itself will not connect. It says something about the IP address.

If you have not already done so, now would be a good time to perform a complete network power cycle.......to give everything a fresh start.
Power off every device on the network.....computers, printers, hard drives, etc......in any order that you want
Wait a full minute
Start the modem, and let it run by itself for 2-3 minutes
Start the next device connected to the modem and let it run a full minute
Keep starting devices one at a time about a minute apart until the entire network is back up
Check the network

I would ask iTunes Store support for help with this. You may never be able to get the movie to download on your own now.
Go here and then tap on Connecting and downloading, then tap on Movie Rentals. You can have someone contact you, you can chat online or you can get email support. I would opt for the phone call or online chat.

Right (Command) click on the iPhoto icon in the Dock and see if you can select Quit there or if you get an iPhoto not responding message. If you do get that message you'll have to the the  ➙ Force Quit... menu option then figure out why iPhoto is stalled.

The Em Key is not configured properly or is corrupted in the file system and doe s not exist in the Management Repository.

I'm getting this error and is there any way to resolve this without re-creating the service/s again, etc. Just curious if there are any suggestions/steps I may have missed, if not, I'll drop and recreate the services again

In the Windows Task Manager's Processes tab, you should be able to find "firefox.exe" in the Image Name column. (Left-clicking the Image Name column will sort the names alphabetically, and then you can scroll up or down looking for "f".) Left-click on that "firefox.exe" and then left-click the "End Process" box. A warning box should then pop up, asking if you're really sure you want to terminate the process. Answer Yes. Then wait a few seconds for disk activity to die down. Then re-launch Firefox as you would normally.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

I have turned off all notifications, but my iPad Mini still makes an audible alert when an email arrives. Is there another fix for this problem?

Select the Notifications tab clear out anything that shows there.
Go back to your profile
In the Actions box select Preferences
Select the Email Notifications Preferences tab
Set the values as you like

Firefox will not start up when I click on its icon. As far as I can see, all of the programme files are present.

Firefox was working perfectly earlier today. This evening, when I tried to start Firefox as I usually do by clicking on its icon in the Windows 7 quick start bar there was no resonse. The same thing happens when I click on the application icon in the Windows Firefox programme folder. Is ther any way that this can be fixed easily?

A possible cause is security software (firewall,anti-virus) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.
