Packing materials that are in batches

Hi,
This is Vikrant. I have created a delivery document that contains a material that is manufactured in batches. Now when I go for packing, the quanities to be packed apper batch wise. For example if the total quantity is 20000 but it is manufactured in 20 batches, then all those 20 batches apear to be packed that is I get 20 line items of the same material to be packed. Is there any way by which the only 1 line item that is the sum of all the 20 batches can be genrated, so that packing can be carried out more effieiently ?
thanks for your help

Hi Vikrant,
Go to IMG - Logistics General - HUM - Delivery - Packing Control By Item Category . In that Check the indicator for Automatic Packing Control for Delivery Item category.
Pack accumulated batches / movement type item
Specifies if for a batch material only the main item with the accumulated batch quantity is to be packed in the delivery, or if only items in which the batch is recognized can be packed.
If the field is not set to its initial value, only the main item will be packed.
When this indicator is set, deliveries can be packed automatically, even if no automatic batch split occurred.
If a storage location is HU-managed, that characteristic overrides this indicator. It is not possible to pack anything in the delivery regardless of its batch if handling-unit inventory management is in use.

  • Z report for materials that are lying as rejected material - sent to vendor

    Dear All,
i have to create a report where my client is suppose to generate a report of :
scenario:  all materials that are rejected in quality inspection is to be sent back  to vendor. now what happens is sometimes 50 materials are rejected in one month and 100 in second month. so total 150 materials should be sent but due to human error 75 materials are not sent. So a complete report of the same of which material were sent and which not .
    pl discuss....

    Dear Ritesh,
lets simplify,  just my client want to see a report of list of materioals that have been rejected and not sent to vendor. I real time scenarios materials get rejected in Q- inspection. Now the rejected materials are sent back to the vendor. What happens is due to human error they kept lying in the plant premises for quite a long time that were supposed to be sent back. So ex:  x kg of materials were rejected in the month of june. That means X kg has to ben sent back to the vendor to be rectified. Now if y kg was sent where x>y , that means x-y should be lying in the plant that is not sent . A report for the same.

  • MD04 - Planning time fence for materials that are planned externally

    Hi,
I have to develop a report in R/3 which will pick up values from MD04 (for a particular material/plant combination) and show the output in ALV grid of materials which are not planned in R/3 but APO.
It should also show the planning time fence.
For example, if i goto MD04 in R/3 and enter a material-plant combination which has MRP type X0 (external planning), it doesnt show me the planning time fence.
This value/row has to be picked up from APO.
Any idea how to go about it and what are the Function Modules I should use or is there any alternative for this ?
    Regards,
    Anand.

    Hello Anand,
Try looking at user exit in MD04 that can change the values in MD04. Then, check for material-plant type of the order. If it is X0, call RFC to APO function module to read the information you want.
I have develop before a report in R/3 that read the correct time of an order in APO to be displayed in R/3.

  • Packing materials used in packing proposal

    Hey all,
Is there a FM that i can use to obtain all the packing materials that have been used in a packing proposal or any ideas on how to get this data?
You can access the packing proposal thru the transaction VA03 -> Extras -> Packing proposal -> Ttl content.
I already tried doing a trace by ST05 but it didnt show any related tables to the packing materials (materials used to pack).
    Best regards,
    Roberto

Not quite sure, but check MARA-VHART and MARA-MAGRV values if it helps in finding the possible packaging materials.

  • 2.13: Apps that are primarily marketing materials or advertisements will be rejected

    Hi,
I am a freelance designer and have a number of clients who would like to make use of the iPad's visual interactivity for their corporate brochures and sales material, the brochures will contain pinch and zoom, slideshows, video, and lots of visual treats.  My concern is that the brochures are primarily marketing materials, and as such likely to be rejected by the App Store review board: "2.13: Apps that are primarily marketing materials or advertisements will be rejected"
I could add bells and whistles to get the app past the App Store review but I dont want to waste clients money by developing something that is not actually relevant to the primary function of the document (which is to for the company to present their offerings to their clients).
My clients are small companies, not large enterprise corporate giants, so the solution needs to be cost effective for them.
I read some old posts from May 2011 which talked about sideloading (no longer available), and viewing in Adobe Content Viewer (which I think is cumbersome for my clients to share with their partners and business prospects).  Hoping that something has changed since then.
Ideally the client would email a link to their prospects (or have a link on their website) which opens a viewer on their ipad, without having to go through the App Store.
What options do I have to distribute content to iPad devices?
I am a Creative Cloud member, which means I can submit unlimited single .folio apps to Apple, but this doesnt get me past clause 2.13.
Advice would be appreciated.  Many thanks.

    No, no, and no.
Sorry, but this is Apple we’re talking about here.

Monitor Applications that are disconnected/offline and batch upload Insight data? does anyone know how to do this using Insight?
MrAlikor - Coding away as Usually

Could you elaborate on this please?
Can an application remain disconnected for a day? a week? a month? Longer?
How long before data is lost? Does this depend on available disk space or another, lower, limit?
What are the effects of aggregating data from a long disconnected instance? Is the historical aggregate information updated?
    What are the bandwidth requirements?

  • Material master for packing materials for based on customers

    Dear all,
can any one tell me how to maintain material master for packing materials based on customers to whom finished goods r supplied.
    Regrds
    harish

    Hi Harish,
    Option : 1
Create your packing (VERP) material as per the Customer.
    E.g.
    Packing material   Product   Customer
    200000000            ABC         XYZ
    200000001            ABC         YZX
    200000002            ABC         XZY
    200000003            BCD         XYZ
    200000004            BCD         YZX
    200000005            BCD         XZY
    Option : 2
If you are batch managed then and then only this option will work.
    Create Characteristic "Customer"
    - Assign it a Batch Class (023)
    - Assign this batch class to the material
    - Now as and when any transaction will be done on this material, you can apply the relevant customer to the batch and separate that particular by customer.

  • Deploying the SCCM 2012 Client to WES 7 devices that are locked down with the FBWF using 2007 task sequence via WEDM.

I'm wondering how people are migrating their embedded devices that are using the FBWF. I've done some googling and it seems like most people are just re-imaging the devices and after migrating a single device i see why. Its not a pretty process. This will
be a long description but ultimately my question stems more from trying to find a better way to execute the device migration from 2007 to 2012.
Some back ground on my situation might be in order here. I'm in the process of wrapping up our 2007 to 2012 migration. We have a 2007 infrastructure that was a central server with 2 primaries and 286 secondary site servers. I've consolidated that to a single
2012 primary site server that hosts all the main roles. There are 2 more servers in the data centers both operating solely as push distribution points I'll refer to them as 2012 01 02 and 03. I'm over half way through the migration and so far haven't needed
to offload any site roles. There are almost 10,000 clients now reporting to the 2012 site server and almost a 100 field servers pulling content from 2012 02 as their source dp as pull dp is the only way forward for this many devices. I've read the horror stories
of trying spin up 200 plus push dps. We are running PKI. I'm at the point now where i need to start migrating the Windows Embedded Seven Standard clients that have the 2007 sccm client on them with WEDM for write filter handling.
What i'm wondering is if anyone has any pointers for me regarding migrating the WES 7 devices. My plan that i've come up with is to somehow script the process using a 2007 WEDM Task Sequence to try and migrate them over to 2012. Things are complicated as
I need to somehow script the install, the policy checkin, hardware inventory, software inventory, and validate the SCEP client installs before I reboot the device one last time to enable the FBWF. How I handled the SCCM 2007 client install on these devices
when they were provisioned was to just create a batch file that would sleep for ten minutes then check to see if the inventoryagent.log file had been created yet. I realize now that is inefficient as i can kick off the inventory using a WMI method once the
client has installed. Also I need to make sure the machine gets its first policy as that is how it creates the communication using PKI through that first policy transfer and that also finalizes the client install. The biggest piece i'm uncertain about in this
    regard is the SCEP client.
I had to change the SCEP client install from yes to no in the default client settings as we have some Mcaffee servers that can't have the SCEP client on them. I have incremental updates enabled on the collection that has the policy that installs the SCEP
client but this will take an unknown amount of time unless i force the environment to update as the device starts in 2012 install, or if I could kick off the SCEP isntall... IDK. I'm also wondering if i should keep the device in the migration process until
i validate it has its proper scep policy applied which I believe can be validated by a registry key somewhere.
Once the 2012 client gets installed will that cause it to lose its place within the 2007 Task Sequence? Considering its going to take a minimum of 2 reboots I'd normally use the task sequence to handle its progression through the process.
I'm also considering trying to use an Orchestrator runbook, as that would be a good way to keep track of the migration process as each device migrates. Especially since this might take several seperate scripts.
I'm going to take a stab at scripting the migration process, but if anyone has any pointers that might make this a less complicated I'd really appreciate it as I've got about 3000 of these devices that need to be migrated over. The other things i've learned
the hard way is any time you have something this complicated over the course of 3000 devices you will run into unknowns and the failure rate increases. I'm in the precarious position of having to not only build this process out but in some situations have
it complete in the shortest amount of time possible as we have sites running 24x7. I know the end users behavior all to well and they will just keep hitting the power button sometimes even though their not supposed to so they can get their device functional
again. In those situations i'd end up, if i'm lucky with a device that no longer has a healthy SCCM client in either environment and the write filter disabled.
So like i said any pointers anyone could throw my way i'd really appreciate. I manually went through the migration process on a single device for proof of concept and ended up with almost 2 pages of pseudo code for my migration script/scripts.
    Thanks,
    -K.R.

    Hi,
In R2 there are some new variables you can use to solve this,
    http://ccmexec.com/2014/12/smstsmplistrequesttimeout-value-in-milliseconds/
In Sp1 though adding a step to sleep for 2-5 minuter after reboot and before the application install step is a common workaround.. a powershell command with "Start-Sleep
    -s 120" should do it.

    Logistics - General (LO)
Information from the vendor to the recipient about the status of the purchase order.
The term confirmation covers different types of information from the vendor to the customer, such as order, loading or transportation confirmation and the shipping notification.
If materials planning takes place without a confirmation, planning can only be based on the delivery dates and quantities in the purchase order. In contrast, confirmations make it possible for the customer to plan the materials more precisely because between the purchase order and planned delivery date, more reliable information has become available.
    Logistics - General (LO)
Communication sent by a vendor to a customer regarding the status of a purchase order.
The term "confirmation" (short for "vendor confirmation") is an umbrella term for various types of information provided by a vendor to a customer, including order acknowledgments, loading or transport confirmations and shipping notifications.
If the customer's materials planning and inventory control system does not work with confirmations, it can only refer to the delivery dates and quantities set out in the purchase order. The use of confirmations, on the other hand, makes the materials planning and inventory control process more precise, since between the PO date and the planned delivery date the customer receives increasingly reliable information about the pending arrival of ordered goods.

  • Consume components that are consigned in service order

    Dear CS gurus,
Always wanted to know if this was possible:
    Current scenario
    1. We need to track materials (spare parts to repair machines) that are moved to specific customer locations. In order to do that, we are using consignment fill-up (via SD).
NOTE: We cannot use SLoc to track these stock because there are just too many locations to track and a more feasible way is to use the consignment method.
    2. Since those items are actually spare parts to repair machines (the machines are our asset), we will make a service order (internal work order) to capture cost of repair. We need to indicate the materials that we will use in the Components tab. Since those materials are consigned to customer's site, we won't find those items in the warehouse.
As far as I know, we cannot consume stock that are consigned ... only those in the warehouse.
The current practice is to perform a Consignment pick-up (via SD) to bring the stock from consignment back to warehouse first. Then create the service order and maintain the materials to be used in the Components tab.
    My question:
    1. Is there anyway to actually consume the consignment stock instead of having duplicate steps as mentioned above?
    2. If not, is there a better solution for the above scenario?

    Hi
If you consume spares against a Service order, system will automatically book the cost to that order.
    1. Move the spares to the Customer site (Consignment stock)
    2. Create a Service order when the spares are consumed
    3. issue the spares against the service order MB11, 261W mvt.
    4. Confirm the time
Labour and Material cost will be booked against the Service order.
    Hope this is your requirement.
I Do not agree with your statement "If I were to use MIGO to "consume" the material, I would not be able to collect the cost for the repairs of the machine."

  • Purchase ledger invoices that are blocked for quality inspection.

Purchase ledger invoices that are blocked for quality inspection. When invoices are keyed against a stock item that is required to be checked for quality the invoice automatically blocks. Once the check has been carried out and the batch has been released the invoice should automatically release for payment according to terms, however this is not happening.I checked MSC3N,where batch is in unrestricted and status released.Still in material document shows batch in QI.
Can any one what is the problem.

    Hi
check in MMBE where the material is lying under the batch .Is it under QI or Unrestricted.
from QI07 you can put it into Unrestricted or take the UD of lot if generated.
    please revert back

You can't edit a file with PDF Pack, but you should be able to convert it to a Word document, and if you are really lucky edit THAT and make a new PDF. Don't expect too much though!

I am looking for information on iPad and iPhone apps and Mac software that are "top of the line" for academic research. The most current and comprehensive information I have found is dated July 2010.

    PogoPossum,
My area of interest is in business and economic history. There is a considerable amount of reading and charting. Until the iPad hit the streets, I only considered stacks of books, journals, and downloaded documents, all marked up with highlighters, underlines, and marginal notes.
Most of my PC based work involved MS Office, Endnote, and MS OneNote.
What I would like to do with the iPad and MacBook are the same things (Office, Endnote, OneNote) and add the ability to read and markup all forms of printed materials from books to pdf to webpages.
I cut my teeth on an iPod Touch and have tried a lot of the note taking and reading apps. Without a camera the standard iPod Notes works for short quick notes and long think pieces. I just emailed the content and downloaded the stuff to my PC. Obviously, I do not want to continue at this "non-integrated" level of work.
    Does this help?

  • List of formulas that are allowed in PLD

    Hi,
i am an ABAPer & new to this SAP B1 env.
is there any document/link that gives the list of formulas (along with syntax) that are allowed in PLD ?
actually i have to print "No. of days delayed" (Run Date - Due Date) in Customer Statement letter.
i tried entering the formula as Field_167 - Field_036 but i get only 0 (zero) even though there is diff in dates.
i tried with datediff(DAY, Field_036,  Field_167) and got the error : Errors were found in the formula"
what is the exact syntax to calculate elapsed number of days?
to check for a condition also, it seems, we need to have additional UDFs & establish the dependencies to get what we want, instead of having a straight forward "if" OR "case" statement.
working with SAP B1's tools (e.g. PLD) is like doing a surgery with kitchen knife! (sorry, if i have hurted anyone's feelings
if anyone can give a list of formulas (along with exact syntax) that are allowed in PLD it will be of great help to people like me.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Raghu Iyer

well, i solved my 'Days Overdue' OR 'elapsed days' in a crude way (see my method given below), if anyone has got a better & accurate method, please do share it with the beginners like me.
    available values :
Field_167 is the 'Ageing Date' (a text field in Page Header Area)
Field_036 is the 'Due Date' (a text field in Repetitive Area)
    requirement :
to print 'Days Overdue' (Field_167 - Field_036 + 1) along with 'Due Date' in repetitive area.
even after browsing through this forum & other some materials provided in SAP Service Market place, i could not find a function/method to get the elapsed number of days between two dates. so, i went about in around about way to arrive at the 'Days Overdue'. given below is my method that gives the elapsed days, though a close one but not accurate, since i took a month as 30 days. otherwise, this seems to work fine, i need to check it out thoroughly.
    in the repetitive area:
defined a new hidden field Field_187 as Formula : (Month(Field_167)*30)+Day(Field_167)
defined a new hidden field Field_188 as Formula : (Month(Field_036)*30)+Day(Field_036)
defined a new field Field_189 for 'Days Overdue' as Formula : ((Year(Field_167)-Year(Field_036))*365)(Field_187-Field_188)1
