My phone keeps coming up with Sim card Failure
Sim failure... no sim card... Im getting these errors over 10 times a day. I've restored and it's still happening, any ideas

I've had my phone since last November, so I'm rushing to sort this out because my garuntee will run out soon! I'm in a residential college and my phone keeps Sim failing up to thirty times a day at least! had this problem ever since I got the phone, gone to the orange store and they sent me to apple, I dont have an apple store anywhere near where I live different customer services tell me different things, change your sim, update and have tried both, my temperary solution is to re boot my phone but because i dont know when it sim fials till I look at my phone, I only find out thatt I've missed inportant phone calls and old messages when I turn it back on, then five minutes later it Sim Fails again! I'm so frustrated because obvously I'm away form home and its been a buger to sort out I htink I've just ran out of choices. Got an expensive phone, on an expensive contract, when it doens't even work properly, bad signal, bad internet connection, dont know what else to do!
Is the phone carrier locked to O2 (sounds like it is)? Unless your friend requested they unlock it before giving it to you (ie. while it was still on an account on their network), it will be carrier locked to them.
You can contact O2 and ask them about unlocking it (they do support unlocking) but I don't know what they will tell you now that the account is closed and it is off their network. Regardless, they are the only ones who can help you with a phone locked to their network. -

Keep losing connection with sim-card on my iPad2
Lately i keep losing my mobile connection.
The only way to reconnect is to fully shutdown and restart.
This is verry annoying
At home no problem. I did not havethis problem in the past so what has changed. And why is there no reconnect solution. Seems easy enough as a way around the problem.you could try toggling airplane mode on/off when it happens

Can't get Netflix to recognize an iTunes purchase keeps coming us with "the credit card information that you entered does not appear to be valid'? Netflix says not them?
The message you received indicates that the phone is locked to a carrier other than the one for which you have a SIM. You'll need to take the issue up with Apple. Nothing you do with iTunes is going to make a difference.
I'm quite surprised that the UK Apple Store replaced a U.S. purchased phone. They usually won't.

I have the iPhone 5 and I keep getting a no sim card message. I have had my phone for over a year now so I know I have a sim card. How can I fix this because it doesn't let me get calls now.
Try resetting the phone. Hold the home and power lock button until the Apple logo appears.If that does not work, turn the phone off and take the SIM out and then put it back in.
If that still does not work, you may have a defective SIM, in which case you will need a new one from your carrier. -

Sounds like your iPhone is locked to AT&T. Contact them to see
if you qualify for unlocking.

N80 Wont startup with SIM card inserted.

Ive had my N80 for about 6 months now, not had many problems that have not been difficult to fix. but.....
Went to use my phone earlier on, and it was asking for my SIM card. Turned the phone off then turned it back on again.. The phone will light up.. then show nokia for a couple of seconds, then keep repeating this..
Sw version is 4.0623.0.41 (UK orange)
The phone will work without the sim card, but obviously in Offline mode.
Any ideas people, bar my sim being broken.. as ive uses the phone all day up to now?

He say Yes!!The best of it is, the phone wouldnt do anything with that SIM inserted, but stayed in a kind of constant loop. diddnt get any message saying 'Insert SIM' or 'Invalid SIM'... The First thing i always try is the 'eraser' trick, its worked a treat for the last 10 years!
Anyhow.. Orange sent one out.. just have to go to the Sorting office to collect it cause i missed the Postie!
