My song info and playlist didn't transfer over with my music. Can I still get them?
My song info and playlists did not transfer over to my new computer with my music. Can I still get that stuff and load it into iTunes on the new computer?
Hi Huken,
Welcome to the Support Communities! Is your new computer a Mac or a PC? I would suggest you first back up your iTunes library to an external drive, and then copy that file to your new computer. Click on the link below for complete instructions.

just connected my new iphone 4s to my existing ITUNES to get old music and it wiped my contacts. Can i still get them back , i didn't manually back up my phone before
Contacts are not part of the backup. Contacts, when using your phone as intended, are synched to your computer's Outlook, Address Book or with a cloud service. If you haven't been using your phone as intended, then your contacts are gone.

I have iCloud for my iPhone, my daughters iphone and 2 of my ipads and have purchased the max amount of storage I can but still get a message saying i don't have enough space to store anymore. Do I need to put each device on their own account?

And maybe you don't talk to too many people but I've been on many forums on different websites where people have had similar problems and a lot of people in the store were having battery problems where they were draining too fast. What I learned is that all the people who did not download the updates are good. There phone is working the same. The people who have, they're having battery problems
I have downloaded every update and my battery life is better than any previous iPhone I have ever owned. I see posts from hundreds of people every day, and this is not a commonly reported problem. While there are a few random reports of battery problems, it is no more than I have seen for any other model or any other version of iOS in almost 8 years. Usually problems of rapid battery drain can be traced to bad apps (FaceBook is the worst offender) or corrupt data being synced from iCloud or other sources (gmail, Windows Live, Yahoo, etc).
The simple test is to restore the phone as New. Do not create any email accounts. Do not install any apps. Do not enable FaceTime or iMessage. Do not enable Twitter or any other social networking app. Use it for a day and check the battery usage. You will find that it is working well.
And also see this: http://www.overthought.org/blog/2014/the-ultimate-guide-to-solving-ios-battery-d rain. It is the best treatise I have seen on the subject of battery usage. -
What can I do to get any lost songs or photo's back caused by installing the new ios5 software?
Go to the Device tab in iTunes' Preferences and se what the date iis of the backup(s). Apple only retaines the latest backup unless you restor from a backup and that one is also kept.

I have a 2nd gen. ipod shuffle that I want to load music onto, but only have the shuffle. can i get software for it?
Hi, my son has a second generation shuffle (the first type of aluminium clip-on one) and the current version of iTunes "talks" to it just fine. iTunes is a free download from Apple. That's all the software you need.

I would greatly appreciate any help with this thank you!
I'm afraid you will have to buy another pair. Apple Care is an extended warranty, it does not cover Theft, Loss, Damage by user.

Playlist didn't transfer after Home Sharin!!
Hi there! Just bought a new compute and set up the home sharing between the two computers. I see all of the songs but the playlists didn't transfer. I tried going to file, library, import playlist like another post said but it wants me to find the file on my computer. I have no idea how to get the file from one computer to the other so is there an easy way of moving the playlists without copying files from the other one?
Too if anyone know the quickest way to get this all done from scratch on the ipad mini, you get rockstar points!!First on the original computer, find your "iTunes Music Library.xml" file. See the following document for instructions on where to find it (note that it's the .xml file you're looking for):
iTunes: What are the iTunes library files?
Transfer a copy of that file across to the new computer. (Via email or thumb drive, etc.)
Launch iTunes on the new PC and import the iTunes Music Library.xml file from the old PC. To do that on iTunes for Windows, you go "File > Library > Import Playlist" as per the following screenshot:
Browse to the location of the iTunes Music Library.xml file from the other computer, select it and then open it. -
I moved iTunes folder location, now all my personal song ratings and playlists are gone. How can I get them back? All the iTunes files are intact, just in a new location. Running iTunes 11.1.5.5 on Windows 7
Put everything back the way it was.
Them move the folder correctly.

My ipod starts voicing song data, artist data, and playlist data while I am listening to music. Is this a feature or a defect? I do not know why it occurs, but the only way to stop it is to stop the music then play the playlist again.
To make sure voiceover is off, you need to go to summary screen then click the "Configure Universal Access" button. Then you will get a dialog where you can make sure voiceover is off. All of the boxes in the dialog should be unchecked.

I bought a new mac and my music in itunes didn't transfer over from my old cpu. Most of it was put on with cd's I have. Can I transfer the music from my I-phone to itunes on my mac?
It sounds like there's something amiss with either your ID or the new system you're using. I've been using iTM on a Win7 and OSX SL system and have been able to upload and download to the Cloud on both. I've been using them interchangeably for the last week or so.
I would also recommennd giving Apple support a call, to see what they say. -
I would like to take a iTunes play list and put it on a USB drive for my car radio to stay in my car. Is there a way to do this through iTunes so you have all the song info and there's no number in front of the name of the song? Is there a program?
iTunes only syncs to Apple devices.
Assuming the media is not DRM protected, any of the media can be dragged and dropped from iTunes onto other drives (external, flash, etc) as the user chooses. -
my iMac with os x allowed me to edit my administrator in preferences with my info and i didn't select the administrator priv. box now my mac has no administrator is there a fix for this or does it need a re-install
Apple support article:
Startup Grey Screen
You can try to check your hard drive.
Apple Hardware Test doesn't catch everything, so even if it doesn't find a problem, you could have one.

I had to have the hard drive replaced on my computer and i lost all my iTunes data and I hadn't backed up my music. can I still transfer music from my iPod to a new iTunes?
Music Rescue also works as far as restoring your playlists etc. I've used it twice, you can use the Quick Recover mode, but have to click continue trial (something like that) allot, cp. to purchase option. Otherwise diesel is right as far as restoring via your purchase history.
Here is a review of Music Rescue. -
The same itunes Library and playlists on the same computer with two systems
I want to have the same itunes library and playlists on the same computer with the two different Os 10.3.9 and 10.4.9 each one on the different disk. without copy this in the itunes folder (because my library its 30Gb)
I have the same user name on the Os. I use the same version of itunes in both systems
I use my ipod to play the library but its not the best solution (i lost my library in ipod twice because I confused from what os was synchronized)Hello and Welcome to Apple Discussions.
Amalgamate the two iTunes libraries. Then load iTunes and hold down the Option/Alt ⌥ key and then choose "Choose Library" and then point both copies of iTunes to use the combined iTunes library.
