Same here on a brand new 13" Macbook Pro (Mid 2012) running Mountain Lion. DVDs play fine using VLC media player but not the default player that comes with Mountain Lion. Will visit my Apple store next week.

Open the Desktop Application manager. click on the little cog icon > Preferences > Account.
If you sign out, and sign back in again, that will force the Desktop Application Manager to rescan your system and check installed Adobe apps.
I think that the latest updates fixed the 'You have been signed out' problem. If not the fix is a bit long winded, so try first, and if you are stuck I/we will talk you through the fix.

That's strange. It's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is changing your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal? Also have you tried uninstalling & re-installing flash? If you need help un-installing Flash see http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html. You also could try safe mode. i was just working on it-and my hard drive was pretty much full so i was about to delete some files to make room so i can save the document-but before i could do that, pages decided to auto save it for me but there was no room to save it, so it said could not save: revert changes. so i clicked revert changes and it said unable to revert, document must close or something like that and it closed the document for me. but i opened it again as normal and it opened again as normal.
so then i took a lot of my files off my laptop to make room to save it, but when i tried to save it, the same thing happened, but this time when i tried to open it as normal, it said it cant be open because it is a blank file when it so clearly isnt? is there anyway i can restore this because i dont see why my macbook is doing this to the file when i made room for it to be saved, and even when there wasnt room-my macbook saved it anyway. no thats theres room it says its blank and cant open- when i right click on it and click show package contents, it comes up with 3 items: data folder which is blank, index.zip file which it wont let me open to unzip, and a metadata folder which is also empty. please help, thank you.To change asccount information see:

Close out of the message app, then double tap the home button and completely close out of it.
Then do a rest, hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up. Then check message app again. -

I am trying to open a MPEG video clip using Quicktime and it wont let me, keeps saying a codec is required. So I click on tell me more, have downloaded Quicktime 7 on numerous occasions thinking this was the problem, and it still wont let me open in. Really confused! Can anyone help???

That issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Trying to restore after getting a new hard drive. I can see the backup on the Time Capsule and on the correct date but it is Greyed out. That is it wont let me open it and restore the machine. Have tried also Migration Assistant, no luck.

At startup hold down the Command+Option/Alt+r keys until you see a globe on the screen. Then use disk utility to partition and format the drive HSF+ and then select Reinstall Mac OS X. whatever version of OS X that originally came on your system will be installed and then you can upgrade back to Mavericks. -

Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
