MySQL Instance Metrics not getting collected in OEM 12c

Hi All,
For MySQL instance, we have enabled "Other Statistics" metric collection and the collection time is every 15 mins.
We have not set any thresholds so this is not for alerting purpose.
For reference if I consider mysql_s_cpcwcmsqlq02e, I checked in backend the scheduler status and found below output in which I am not able to see other statistics metric for mysql:

I am not able to run manually collection of other statistics metrics. (Collection Name is "mysqlstatus").
Strange is for only 5 instances i am able to see data for this metrics.
Please help .. Oracle is not able to answer as plugin is pythian.

Deltas not getting collected

Hi experts,
I created a generic datasource based on infoset query on konv table.( Cluster Table )
In rso2 in the generic delta settings i maintained the settings as :
Delta specific field: KNUMV (Number of the document condition)
Calendar Day
Safety interval upper limit: 1 Calendar days.
New status for changed records.
I done a Init with datatransfer in BI upto DSO. The load was succesful .
Some records are posted in R/3 for the same on the next day. But I am unable to see them in RSA7 i.e
delta records are not getting collected in the delta queue.How can we resolve this ? Do i need to change
any delta settings ?

Hi Nishuv
You can either select KNUMV or calendar day as delta field. As you had maintained the safety upper limit as 1 calendar day, you will able to extract data 1 day minus the day you are scheduling the delta request.

The reason why are you not able to see the delta records in the delta queue is that because of the safety upper limit 1 day which you had given. For example if you are scheudling the delta infopackage today then you will be to extract the delta records of yesterday only because of safety upper limit.
The delta queue will be populated with the delta records only after you schedule the delta infopackage because generic extractor works on pull concept not on push concept.

InfoSource and Source System Not getting collected while activation BC

Hello there!
I'm trying to activate the business content. If i group all the objects below and install a cube (or update rules), it gets everything but infosources (Transfer Rules, etc.) and the source system assignment. Neverthless, if i assign datasource to infosource, it works properly.
I've installed the data sources, replicated it in BW, and done the source system assignment correctly. Any ideas what is going wrong?

The issue was with Repository Cache. Delete it and everything works fine.
Admin Workbench -> Business Content -> Extras -> Repository Cache (DB) -> Delete (Delivery Objects)

Shadow instance is not getting up

Hi
I'm having the problem to start the shadow instance in upgrade phase
tying to start shadow instance using ./SAPup startshd in usr/sap/put/bin/
it's throwing the error

ESB Instance Not Getting Created

Hello,
I am trying to call one synchronous BPEL using one ESB. This ESB applies DVM while transforming input data into called BPEL format. But it shows some strange results. while calling ESB using any other BPEL
1. ESB instance is not getting created.
2. Synchronous BPEL is getting called but without DVM applied.
But If I use SoapUI to call the ESB, it's working fine. Can any body give me any clue, why is it happing?

Can you please confirm me the following steps...
Log in to the EM console, Expand soa-infra (soa_server1) , go to the partition where your composite is been deployed, Click on your composite, On the right, click on the dropdown Settings and choose Composite Audit Level. you can choose to set the Audit Level for this composite. If you choose Inherit, it will take the settings to what the server is being set to. Otherwise, we can override it by choosing Off, Production, or Development.
Make sure your setting for that composite is not Off, keep inherit or production or development.

SQL server instance not getting detected during SCOM 2012 R2 Installation

So i want to install SCOM in my domain, But i want to use a SQL server in my network which is in another domain.
So i have 4 server machines as below:
SERVER_DC1 - Domain controller of 1st domain.
SERVER_DC2 - Domain controller of 2nd domain.
SERVER_SQL - SQL server 2012 Enterprise installed for SCOM but is in Domain 1
Server_SCOM - I want to install SCOM in this but which is in domain 2
I created a trust relation between 2 domains with a Forest trust 2 way transitive.
I have created a security group and added that as SQL Admin during the installation. Later i added one Domain administrator account from Domain 2 to this security group.
When i do a installation in SERVER_DC1 for testing the SQL instance is being detected as below.
When i do the installation in Server_SCOM which is in another domain then the instance is not getting detected.
I have turned off windows firewall in all the machines.
Before creating the trust i ran the setup in Server_SCOM then it was giving me a warning saying it is not able to access the SQL server due to permission issues.
After giving permissions my instance is not at all getting detected.
Can any one help plz.

Hi Yan Li,
Really a helpful post. I tested the connection. I connected to the SQL server in Domain A using a server in domain B logged in as a domain B user to whom the SQL permissions are provided. The result says It was successful.
Below is the screenshot.
I don't understand why is it not getting detected in the SCOM setup.
But 1 more important thing which i forgot to mention.
When i log on to the server in which i want to install SCOM in domain B, But by using Domain A's user account (Added as a local user in SCOM server in domain B), Then the Instance is getting detected.
Below is a screenshot of that.
So has any one faced such a type of issue ?

OEM is not getting started after windows server name changed

Hello DBAs
Recently I installed Oracle database 10g on my a windows machine. It was working fine. Integrated OEM was also working fine.
But now I have changed the machine name. Now Oracle Database has come up after updating the listener.ora & tnsnames.ora files with new server name. But OEM page is not getting open now. I tried after updating the emd.properties and other related file on ORACLE_HOME\sysman folder with the new server name. But no luck.
In windows services one service named "OracleDBConsoleDbname" is not getting started, which could be the issue.
Can someone please guide me what can be done to fix this problem.

This problem will happen when either changing the computer name or changing the domain name that the server belongs to.
First, verify that the new computer name contains DNS compatible characters - no spaces or underscore ( _ ) characters, for instance. Next, you will need to recreate the Enterprise Manager Database Control repository. Directions can be found on this page under the heading of "6.2.8.3 Using EMCA After Changing the Database Host Name or IP Address":

Can not get data from mySql

I prepared a GUI user connection application in NebBeans 5.5 accessing mySql database in the company server. The application run very well in desktop.
However, when I post it to the company server web, it gets nothing from the database.
Can any one give advice???

I'm very new to mySql as server. When I was assigned
to write the application, the administrator has set
up mySql database in the company web server for my
application. My program runs very when using my
workplace desktop with java web start or with java
web start in netbeans (all paths should be link to my
desktop hard disk, i.e. users/application/). I can
not run the application at home because I can not
access to the company intranet server (for security
purpose). The problem happens when I post the
application in the company web page (I have to modify
all paths in jnlp file to the company web address).
The program then runs without exception except it
seems that it gets no data from the database (for
example, when I type my username, it returns that
"There is no such user name. contact.." as what I
code in the application for not correcting user name)
It happens for not only using my company desktop but
also for others.

Seeing as how you get that error, the obvious answer was, "No." At which point we could have continued.
Configure the needed users into the DB, without forgetting to allow them access from the machines from which they are going to access from.
Although, I agree with Rene, that you should set up a server of some sort, located on the same machine as the DB, for communicating with the DB.

Unable to get the composite instance for the invocation. This could be because instance has not yet been created or because the audit level for the SOA infra has been set to Off

I am on Oracle 11.1.1.7 BPM suite on W8 64 bit. I can't launch the flow trace and get the error "Unable to get the composite instance for the invocation. This could be because instance has not yet been created or because the audit level for the SOA infra has been set to Off". I have set the audit level to development at the soa-infra>SOA Administration> Common Properties > Audit level set to development and Capture Composite Instance State is Checked.
Can somebody advice.

Can you please confirm me the following steps...
Log in to the EM console, Expand soa-infra (soa_server1) , go to the partition where your composite is been deployed, Click on your composite, On the right, click on the dropdown Settings and choose Composite Audit Level. you can choose to set the Audit Level for this composite. If you choose Inherit, it will take the settings to what the server is being set to. Otherwise, we can override it by choosing Off, Production, or Development.
Make sure your setting for that composite is not Off, keep inherit or production or development.

IDoc Monitoring: Data collection not getting completed

Hi,
I have setup IDoc monitoring in Solution Manager 7.1 SP08 for managed systems which is on ST-A/PI 01Q. There are many IDoc being generated in the managed system but I am not getting any alert for it.
In the alert inbox I get the message that the data collection has not yet taken place since the last activation. and the last data collection time is shown as of 2009.
Also in the managed system the BPMon background job BPM_DATA_COLLECTION_2 get cancelled with run time error TSV_TNEW_BLOCKS_NO_ROLL_MEMMORY
What can be the issue?

Job not getting invoked on a logical standby instance

Hello,
We have created a job(through dbms_scheduler API). The job is enabled and shows up in the SCHEDULERJOBS view also.
However the job does not get executed. I looked into the following tables there was no relevant entry found for the aforesaid job:

select * from DBA_SCHEDULER_JOB_RUN_DETAILS order by log_date desc
Is there any limitation that we cannot execute scheduled jobs on a logical standby database. If i execute the relevant program (that is configured to be run as job in this scenario) as an individual procedure from SQL plus, it gets executed successfully implying there is no errors/problem in the subprogram that the job is going to invoke.

Just one query, can we invoke remote stored procedures(i.e. using datalinks) from dbms_scheduler jobs on another db.
i.e. something like this:
DB0(primary db instance); DB1(is a logical standby db); DB2(centralized repository db)
DB1 contains certain packaged application procedures that need to be invoked as a scheduled activity.
Previously we had the scheduled jobs residing on the logical standby db itself but because of this known issue we cannot proceed with that design.
So can we have jobs,programs(mapping to DB1s stored procedure) scheduled on DB2?

OEM is not getting started after changing the Server name

Hello DBAs
Recently I installed Oracle database 10g on my a windows machine. It was working fine. Integrated OEM was also working fine.
But now I have changed the machine name. Now Oracle Database has come up after updating the listener.ora & tnsnames.ora files with new server name. But OEM page is not getting open now. I tried after updating the emd.properties and other related file on ORACLE_HOME\sysman folder with the new server name. But no luck.
In windows services one service named *"OracleDBConsoleDbname"* is not getting started, which could be the issue.
Can someone please guide me what can be done to fix this problem.

What you are doing is not supported by Oracle. From EM Database Console FAQ (863631.1):
What action needs to be taken if the hostname or SID of the database server is changed?
If there is a hostname or SID change for the database server then the database console needs to be recreated. There is no other solution if the hostname or SID is changed other that recreating the database console. All database console configuration files are created under the hostname_sid directory and the configuration files along with the repository keeps reference of the hostname, which is why dbconsole needs to be reconfigured if there is change in hostname/sid.

Can not get two instances to join same cluster even on same machine

On a RedHat Linux box, I have failed to get two instances of coherence to join the same cluster. I have managed to get the muticast test tool to show that packets are being sent and received. To do this, I had to:
