N80 FM-Radio recording

Anybody trying to do this?
I've done, but with no results. Try record to SD-card at least ordinary FM-music without visual service - N80 will reboot.
Trying: Psiloc Extended Recorder, Alon MP3 Dictaphone, etc. ...
I understand: may be one third-party recorder has a bug, but when all simultaneously? Firmware (4. ***) bug - to my mind.
I've not tested a bundled Recorder: 20 s - is not a song, am I right?
By the way, any MP3-player with flash and FM-Radio (about $30) can do it excellent and without any problems.
May be this is the war against piracy ?

I guess it wasn't something Nokia felt many people would want. They have made a phone for most peoples tastes so you can't shoot them for missing something like that off. I'm sure there are many applications that you can download that will enable you to record radio. Try a quick google and see what it comes up with.
Is that an N95 in your pocket or are you just pleased to see me?!?
Life's too important to take seriously.
Nokias I've owned 3210, 3310, 6100, 7650, 6600, 6680, 6630, N80, N95
I'm a 26 year old boy BTW

how can i transfer the radio recording files from my Ipad to Computer ?

I was hopeful I could use home sharing to sync my iTunes libraries,
Unfortunately, you can only stream content to your iOS devices via home sharing (not sync it).
I'd have a check through the following user tip instead:

  • Muvo n200 radio record

    Hello
I have a Muvo N200. When recording from the radio there is a high pitched 'whine' on the recorded file.
This is present even when the recording has been burned onto a cd.
Does anyone else have this problem and if they have has it been fixed by any firmware upgrades. I have not upgraded the firmware since purchasing the product.
    Your help is appreciated.
    Thank you

Hi, yes, the N200 radio recording is notoriously (on this forum) not all that great.
I have the latest firmware on mine, and have, if not a high pitched whine, then a sort of constant 'white noise' in the background of recordings that wasn't there on the original radio transmission.
Hopefully it will be fixed by a future firmware upgrade, (please Creative!) but for now, it looks like it's just something we'll have to li've with.
    Sorry, x

  • COMPLAINT: NO RADIO RECORDING FOR 60GB ZEN VISION:M MO

It seems that although creative has restored radio recording for the 30gb models, the 60 gb ones are shipping with the function disabled! I strongly believe this function is still present in the hardware, since it is much cheaper and less risky for creative corporation to just eliminate it from the firmware instead of tinkering with the hardware.
After I bought my 60gb zen vision:m (November 8, 2006), I updated the firmware to the latest version for the 60GB model, and still no radio recording. so it seems that Creative has real plans to make radio recording permanently disabled, but perhaps its legal advisers have suggested that a class-action lawsuit would occur if they took away a feature off the 30gb model that came packaged with the product.
As a result I will try to return my player and find an alternati've that allows for radio recording. If I can't find another player that does it, I will still choose a non-Creative (perhaps iPod?) device, due to my frustration with this corporation.Message Edited by arbguy on -9-200604:22 PM

  • FM Radio Recording Len

How many hours of FM radio can I record on a Zen Nano Plus GB. I know it records in .wav format but I can't find any chart from Creative that lets you know how much will fit. Can anyone help?

The recording format is IMA-ADPCM-compressed WAV (6 kHz, 4-bit, stereo) resulting in roughly MB of data per minute.
If you're thinking about long recordings (i.e. multiple hours), power might (or probably will) be an issue. I think we had a thread on this recently, but I can't remember if it was about FM or Line in/MP3 recording...

  • Muvo N200 - Quality of radio recordi

I can be listening to the radio on the N200 and it all sounds nice and clear but when I then start recording I get a slight buzzing noise all the time I am recording. I can cope with this BUT when I go to play back the recording it sounds awful, like a mono 96 kbps MP3 file. It records as a WAV file which should be a high quality.
Has anyone else tried recording off the radio on the N200 with better success ?

  • Nokia N8 Fm Radio Recording

    Hi
Is there an application or trick to record fm radio with N8.
    Thanks

Read the following thread. Asha 206 isn't listed, but being it a S40 as well, the interface should be same as others.
There could also be a chance that your region doesn't allow recording so its not included as an option.

  • Recording Radio on Mac

Can anyone tell me how to record a radio programme on my mac?
I would usually do this on my Humax PVR, but I forgot to set it in time. The programme is available online for the next seven days, on BBC's Listen Again service. It is not available as a podcast, so it can't be downloaded.
The only way I can think of, is to use a cassette recorder, with a built-in microphone, as close as possible to the mac, but that seems rather clumsy and, anyway, I would really prefer to have the programme on disc, not cassette.
So is there a neater way of doing this?
    TIA

As indicated by Malcolm Rayfield above, Audio Hijack is the way to do what you want. You can either use Audio Hijack Pro as he links to at $32 or a simpler version Audio Hijack at $16 http://versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/16382
Browse the links yourself to see the difference. Both can record for burning to a CD or any other recording device. Realplayer as mentioned by the last poster is not a recording device, simply broadcasting.
I myself use Audio Hijack Pro along with an editing device Fission by the same company which means you can record programmes and edit out applause or links etc. I would strongly recommend the Audio Hijack series, superb recording and extremely easy to use to record anything at all, radio, record player, cassette, whatever that can pass sound through your computer.

  • Recording from built in fm on zen nano p

Hello can any one tell me how long a recording 52mb can make from built in fm
    Ttank you

FM Radio records as a WAV file using a 6 kHz sampling rate and 4-bit, Stereo encoding.
    So each second of recording takes 6000 x 4 x 2 bits = 28Kbits or 6KBytes.
So you will be able to record 32000 seconds of radio, or 533mins 20s, or 8hours, 53mins and 20s.
    Approximately!
As Voice recording uses half the sampling rate and is in Mono you will get 4 times this amount in that mode, in case you were wondering.

  • Nokia Asha 306 - Radio Recordings

    Hi!
I'm using NOKIA ASHA 306 smartphone.
When I use Radio recorder, the files are saved in .AAC format which can play on my mobile but not on my PC.
I tried to convert them to another format (like wave, mp3, etc...) so I could edit my recordings with Audacity.
This .AAC file format is not recognized by Audacity or VLC media player / Media Player Classic.
How can I convert these .AAC files to a more common audio format that my PC can read and work with?
Alternatively, is it possible to use Radio recorder to record in a different, more common and editable format?
I appreciate your suggestions on how to convert / edit recordings of Radio recorder.
    Thanks!
    -  Migara \m/

    Thanks farby for your reply.
I tried to convert using AAC to MP3 Converter but didn't work.
I have attacked a sample recorded audio.
    Please help me.
    Thanks!

  • FM recording in Zen V P

What can you tell me about this feature?
Was it in the old firmwares?
I know the situation with Creative Zen Vision:M ? radio recording feature presented in the old firmwares but it was deleted in the new one.
But why?Message Edited by Break on 0-08-2006 05:59 AM

Your own site describes the V Plus record button as working with the FM Tuner. Checkout the following I copied:<font face="Verdana" size="" color="#000065">ZEN V Plus and ZEN V players at a glance

  • ZEN 4G - Why it could not record from FM Radi

Hi all,?I've been using a ZEN Microphoto for about a year before it died (2-3 weeks after the waranty was ended). One of the nice features I was using frequently was t?the FM Radio recording.
Does anybody know why this feature is no longer available in my new ZEN 4G ?Thanks,?Jean

The funny thing with the microphoto (i had one too, loved it) and its radio recording feature is that it disapeared in one firmware revision and then suddenly reappeared in the next. I would think that an obvious sign that it was missed by a good number of people. Maybe Creative saw this as a chance to start fresh with the RIAA on their good side. I didn't look at the engadget link, I guess?I should have before posting, thanks for pointing that out.

  • Zen Sleek - can you split radio recordin

    Hi
I've recently purchased a Zen Sleek, it's been great so far. The radio recording function is working very well but I want to be able to split the recordings so I can leave it to tape a show/gig from the radio then trim the long recording to select the tracks I like so they can then be accessed as individual tracks in the music library. Is this in any way possible? I used to use mini-discs and this was always possible with the "track mark" function.
    Thanks for any help.
    Kate

I think that you will only be able to do this back on your PC after you have finished making the recording.

  • Real reason behind the non-feature of FM recording on Vision M 60 g

    Hi there,
I have buyed the Vision M 30 go then for any reason, some a day it stopped freezing at the main screen and even reseting and formating the player has not make it able to work again. So I went where I had purshased it and paid the difference with the 30 go for having a 60 go using the year warantly given by Creative. Except for the very bad desagrement of loosing the AC adapter (that I paid for in the version I brought at the begining), I found also that a nice feature I was using a lot with the 30 go version was not built in the 60 go version wich is the FM recording. So here stand my real question :
Why does Creative have not brought FM recording feature to it 60 go version ?
BTW, for those who don't know it, in real fact, I'd mesured that autonomy on 60 go is less than 30 go. Size (thickness) is bigger (probably because of the 2 micro hardri've on over the other inside). Weight is bigger (don't have mesured the difference). Ver 30 go was always spinning to read data and sound was just impossible to hear, but the only way to know was to take it in your hand then look out for vibrations. Ver 60 works by caching data (probably to save electricity because making spinning 2 disk takes more juice than ) at a speed that makes it possible to hear in quiet enviroment at a level it is possible to hear in medias (such as movies) for wich there is quiet moments. Finaly, not the last, ver 30 go was fanless, but ver 60, probably because of the 2 disk, start the fan to lower temperature at a regular interval (probably faster in hot ambiant temperature and less in normal ones, but didn't test it to see).
If it were to buy again, because of the no AC adaptor, no FM recording and all those reasons, having the ONLY advantage of doubbling the HD size, I don't think I would again.
I may be a hard to convince as a consumer because I'm also an electronic/electrical engineer and my standards, expectations and observations go further than more people, but I still think you product overcome in almost every aspect of the IPOD.
At last, I'm really sad about having upgraded to 60 go, but please, at least, 60 go beeing the top lvl of its category, just build a new firmware adding this feature ! That will almost cost you any penny at all, but the image you will give to your customer will worth money in its own way. And as we say, for 0 unhappy customer, of 0 will say it to the company. Also, in 0 happy customer, will say it to other people, but for unhappy customer, 0 people will be told to DO NOT buy the product. That was one of most important thing I've learned from my marketing course when at the Uni'versity !
Sorry for bad English: as you may have observed, it is not my first language.

I my own case, I was only using the radio recording feature for talk radio I was unable to listen at specific moment in the day...
I li've in Canada and I shouldn't have to pay for USA pressure groups, nor Europeans should.
    That's very bad.
I wish to get an official answer from Creative on this matter.Message Edited by killerfrog on 04-4-20072:2 PM

  • Timer recording when I'm g

I have Creative MuVo Nomad 28MB
    I have Creative MediaSource 2.03.29
I want to record a radio show, but I won't be home to start or end the recording session. Is there any way I can somehow accomplish this using Creative MediaSource 2.03.29? If not, is there another way?
    Thanks, MusicMan

    MusicMan
The MediaSource does not have record scheduling feature on it. You can try www.download.com, do a search for radio recording. I'm sure you be able to find a suitable software for your needs.
