N97 message issue NO solution found on google

i just bought a N97, and im in a region of +5, and we are on day light saving. i am using an operator service (warid) and if someone sends me msg from same network carrier then i receive that message with time of 1 hour before howerver other network carriers are working fine. ive tried changing the region and used other sims of same carrier but nothing helps. basically its picking time from carrier NOT what is on my mobile. can anyone please help me.

I believe all phones take the SMS time stamp to get the actual time the text was SENT not when you RECIEVED it... it would be pointless otherwise or you'd never identify a Delay... this sounds like a network issue... unless someone corrects me

Time Machine Issue -- Error not found anywhere

I am having a Time Machine issue in which the error displayed cannot be found anywhere: Google, Bing, Apple, etc.
The error message is: "Time Machine couldn't find some of its settings on the backup disk "BACKUP". Make sure the backup disk is connected, and that other connected disks don't use the same name as the backup disk. Last success backup: 6/21/10 at 2:52 PM"
The other odd thing is that my Time Machine folders are empty. The directory structure is: BACKUP > Backups.backupdb > TIGERMASTER > {empty}. (TIGERMASTER is my MacBook Pro's name.)
When I do a Get Info on the directories, it reports Zero kb on disk with 0 items. When I do a Get Info on BACKUP, it reports 833GB used, with about 140GB free (it's a 1TB external HDD).
Disk Utility sees folders and files, however: "Number of Folders:583,061 / Number of Files:3,725,350"

I tried to mount the disk, but it gives me the error: "The disk BACKUP could not be mounted. Try First Aid on the disk and then retry mounting." Of course, I can't back up any of the files because I can't mount the disk.

Issue with invite accepted through google calendar.

I sent an invite to an event through ical. The recipient accepted through google calendar which in turn sent me an email accepting. However, my original meeting status hasn't changed to reflect that it was accepted. Am I missing something here? How does iCal get updated to know that the recipients have accepted?

UPDATE: My problem was not related to the Sync History, rather the fact the Apple decided to stop supporting Outlook versions older than 2003. I realize that I shouldn't rely on software thats almost 10 years old, but I figured, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I resolved my calendar sync issues by upgrading to a newer version of Outlook.
Before resorting to this, I successfuly rolled back my iTunes to an earlier version (following directions easily found via Google), but the older version of iTunes didn't recognize my "itunes_library.itl" file - in my iTunes folder. Older versions of this file are archived, so subbing one of those into the main iTunes directory solved that problem, however, I lost about a month of changes to my library. After tooling around with these issues, I finally decided that upgrading Outlook was a simpler solution.
It is curious, however, that iTunes didn't identiy my problem for me, maybe with a messge like "iTunes no longer supports sync for your version of Outlook". It is also curious that my probnlem was only for my calendar: my contacts and notes were still syncing fine both to and from the phone and computer.
Hope this helps others who experienced problems with iTunes and older verisons of Outlook.

i have os 6 right now and want to downgrade due to memmory issues. os 5.0.0.977 is the curve version i can downgrade. when i downgraded last time i faced messages issues. i get a message but it doesnt show, either it shows old message or it disappears as i am reading. i need to go back to home screen and re-open the inbox then it shows the message that came. this problem starts as messages increase. if i delete all messages then after a day or at times few hours, this occurs and if i am talking with 2-3 people this would start early. there messsage wont show and at time i need to reply an empty message to see what they sent. please tell me a solution. OS 6 is causing whatsapp issues, google maps get slow and in end memory goes from 75mb to 55mb.

In that case open the Console app in Applications/Utilities and tell us the error type messages that appear when you try to launch it ?
Possibles include a missing or broken AppleGothic.ttf font
A missing Helvetica Font (although the System in general would complain more if this was missing).
A missing Lucida Grande font.
The first is needed each time you login to iMessages.
The others are needed by the app to display windows properly.
Also if the Contacts App > My Card (See card menu) is not your details then you can have issues.

Video Message Issue

Hello, guys! I have a bit of an issue with the new video message feature of Skype. That is, the option to send a video message is grayed out on every contact I have on Skype, but my friends can send me video messages and I can view them without any problems.
Skype version: 6.21.59.104 (searching for updates yields me that I have the latest version of Skype)
Operating system: Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1 (100% legal)
Camera: Turbo-X 1080P Full HD with built-in microphone (functions perfectly during video calls)
Internet Speed: Average of 100Mbps if I remember correctly. Fairly fast and functional 100% of the time (I don't know if it is relevant)
Note: I have no Facebook or Live contacts on my contact list. I do not log in as Invisible. Some of my friends do, but the option is grayed out for everyone, not just those that are Invisible. The only personal modification I have done for Skype is to block the advertisments by blocking access to apps.skype.com through my Control Panel.

Getting Message "No business partner found" in NOTIF_CREATE

I am getting an error message "No business partner found" when try to find the Person Responsible.
1. Run Transaction NOTIF_CREATE
2. Set Message Priority (e.g. Low etc..)
3. Choose System / IBASE
4. Installation No. will be automatically populated after choosing SYSTEM or IBASE.
5. Choose Appropriate Component.
6. Choose Reported By.
7. Person Responsible - getting error "No business partner found"
Where as i have already created business partners via SAP Transaction BP, which i m able to view at step no. 6.
Even in transaction IB52, the functions Contact Person, Employee Responsible, Service Employee Group, and Sold-To Party are assigned to appropriate users.

Yes, I have already created business partners through DSWP -> Create Business Partners.
But in this case I am only able to create business partners for the clients I have on Solution Manager System and not for the clients (RFC's) from our Development Environment.
When I click on Add button it shows me the different RFC connections through which our solution manager system is connected to development environment. if would choose any of the RFC which connects to solman to dev environment, it only shows me only one user CUST_SCOUT.
I believe after choosing an RFC it should populate all the users avaialble on dev environment.
Please let me know your thoughts on this.

This could be a complicated problem to solve, as there are many possible causes for it. Test after taking each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Back up all data before making any changes.
Before proceeding, test on another network, if possible. That could be a public Wi-Fi hotspot, if your computer is portable, or a cellular network if you have a mobile device that can share its Internet connection. If you find that iMessage works on the other network, the problem is in your network or at your ISP, not in your computer.
Step 1
Check the status of the service. If the service is down, wait for it to come back up. There may be a localized outage, even if the status indicator is green.
Step 2
Sign out of iMessage and FaceTime on all your Apple devices. Log out and log back in. Try again to sign in.
Step 3
Restart your router and your broadband device, if they're separate. You may have to skip this step if you don't control those devices.
Step 4
From the menu bar, select

Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you start up, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or earlier, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound outputand Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. After testing, restart as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and test again.
If iMessage worked in safe mode, but still doesn't work when you restart in "normal" mode, stop here and post your results.

i would really appreciate if anyone can help me with this issue... i have built websites in the past using Homestead Technologies and have decided to give Adobe Muse a shot. have been fortunate enough to be listed on the first page of google on all websites using Homestead but for the life of me i can not figure out why i cant be found on Google for my website which is www.designs41.com and its the first website i have built on Muse. i have followed the same steps i used in the past as far as making sure i have webmasters page for each search engine.... i have sitemaps i have verification from each search engine i have proper verbiage for each page and description but the search results are not good. Bing and Yahoo is the only one that shows up and i am #1 on those...i am really confused... can someoene please look at my site www.designs41.com and give me any ideas.

There can be different reason for this. Google and Bing have totally different algorithm to index sites. So it is not necessary if your site is doing good in one search engine, it will do the same in other as well. Even google doesn't guarantee

Successful experience with Apple Care.
If anyone is having the same problem, there's a chance it's an issue with the Mobile Device Manager for iTunes. The key is to ditch the old/corrupt file and replace it via clean iTunes installation.
Here's the fix that worked for me:
1. Trash iTunes (uninstall); don't forget to trash it from your dock if you have it there.
2. Head to /System/Library/Extensions/ and trash file AppleMobileDevice.kext
3. Head to /Library/Receipts/ and trash AppleMobileDeviceSupport.pkg ( * this may or may not be there * )
4. Restart computer (& empty trash)
5. Download fresh & clean iTunes and reinstall.
Voila! The content is now properly recognized by iTunes, the capacity bar registers the correct amount and type beyond "Other", and now I can put music back on the iPad.

Can you start QuickTime on your computer?
You'll probably have to search for the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility and use it to remove QuickTime Player and iTunes. Then download and install the iTunes again.

Compilation of Lenovo X120e issues and solutions

Just thought a compilation of issues may be beneficial for folks who own an X120e.
Screen adjusts brightness automatically without user input depending on content on screen:

This is caused by Vari-Bright being enabled in the Catalyst Control Center. With this option enabled, the screen will automatically adjust its brightness depending on what is shown on the screen. The display brightness is increased when the screen is predominantly white while the display brightness is decreased when the screen is predominantly dark. An easiest way to see this effect happening is to have two tabs opened in a web browser window. Set one tab to display a website that is mainly filled with white pixels (such as this Lenovo Forum) and another tab to display a website that is mainly filled with dark pixels (such as http://www.krijtenberg.nl/ ). Switch between the two, pausing a few seconds in each tab.
Solution:
Open the Catalyst Control Center and select the PowerPlay option in the Power section. Uncheck the Vari-Bright option (or adjust the slider) and click Apply. Verify that the automatic adjustment is no longer occuring by doing the two tab experiment described above.
Function keys for brightness control not working after waking from sleep / hibernation in some instances:

For my X120e, whenever I have it sleeping or hibernating and change the power source (such as initiating sleep when on power and then waking it up while on battery, or vice versa), the function keys for brightness controls do not work.
Solution:
Restarting the machine will bring back functionality of the brightness control keys...
A way to prevent this from happening in the first place is to wake the X120e in the same power state that the X120e was put to sleep in (wake up from power adapter if slept while connected to power adapter, or wake up from battery if slept while on battery).
All we can do now is wait for Lenovo to come up with a fix on their side of things.
AMD SATA Controller and TRIM for SSD:
The AMD SATA Controller provided by Lenovo does not support passing of TRIM command according to http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum/450343-post35.html for SSDs. The Lenovo provided AMD SATA Controller is 1.2.1.197, before the official TRIM support in 1.2.1.263. If you're using a HDD, this is of no concern.
Solution:
In order to have support for passing of TRIM command, one has to update the AMD SATA Controller to any version above 1.2.1.263 ( http://sites.amd.com/us/game/downloads/Pages/integrated_win7-64.aspx#3 for Windows 7 64-bit, for example) or uninstall the AMD SATA Controller to revert back to Microsoft's Standard AHCI 1.0 Serial ATA Controller.
Disclaimer: Since the AMD SATA Controller driver linked is not from Lenovo themselves, I'm sure they won't provide any support if something is to occur so try at your own risk.
As HP79 mentions below, at least according to the update notes, TRIM implementation is implemented for Hudson chipsets as of 1.2.001.263.

This issue can be reproduced (at least on my X120e) by waking the X120e after putting it to sleep. The symptom is the audio repeating a sound over a span of a second or two during playback and is quite noticable.
Solution:
uEFI Bios version 1.11 seems to deal with the audio stuttering issue. So far, results lead to positive outcomes.
Old Solution:
PWMTR64V.DLL that is loaded at Startup seems to be causing this issue. Disabling it from launching when starting up seems to cure the Audio Stutter (even after waking up from sleep which was seen to be a pretty reliable way to get the issue to repro). Start Menu > Launch MSCONFIG from the Search Bar > Select Startup Tab from the System Configuration window > Uncheck Thinkpad Power Manager > Restart.
This does not seem to turn off the power manager application itself so settings in Power Manager can be saved and it seems to still be in effect. However, opening up Power Manager from the notification / taskbar can cause audio stuttering and mouse movement slowdown while it is launching and/or when applying settings. This is only temporary and is gone when Power Manager is closed. (Thanks kns7977 for the find)
Pending to see if those who uninstalled Power Manager are able to turn off the offending startup .dll.

This seems to be caused by the same issue causing the Audio Stutter / Slurring. At least at this time, the cause of the issue and solution seems to be the same.
Emulating Middle Mouse Button with Trackpoint:
One can set up the middle button between the left and right click button for the TrackPoint to act like pressing a middle mouse button on a standard mouse by changing the scrolling type to Smooth instead of the default Standard.
Control Panel > Hardware & Sound > Mouse > UltraNav Tab > Setting for TrackPoint > Setting for Choose Scrolling or Magnifying Glass Function > Smooth.

Solution: Turning off Gesture Filtering may alleviate the problem. As mentioned in http://forum.notebookreview.com/lenovo-ibm/561751-x120e-owners-thread-24.html#post7323293, it seems that the Gesture Filtering is counteracting any sort of two finger input.
Get to Mouse Properties by Fn + F8, select Manage Settings. At Mouse Properties, select the UltraNav tab > Settings for TouchPad. Expand the Smart Check Settings, highlight Gesture Filtering, and uncheck the Enable Gesture Filtering box and Apply.

Had this issue occur on me once, but never seen it happen again. Unsure what caused or cured it.
Solution:
If the flickering is occuring, a restart is all that is needed to alleviate the problem. Haven't tested if hibernation fixes it, but neither sleep nor turning off the screen with the Power Manager dealt with the flickering.

Accept that it's a 32Wh you will get when selecting 3-Cell or go for the 6-Cell if you want more than 32Wh.

The Wireless driver from Lenovo's site seems to not work with the 2x2 ABGN wireless when installed on a fresh copy of Windows 7 x64.
Solution:
Not really quite a solution, but one can bypass this by either installing the 32-bit Windows 7 and installing the 32-bit driver, or using the factory recovery disc to install 64 bit windows 7 to have it install drivers that work for x64 windows 7.
X120e bluescreens after installing LAN Realtek 7.26.902.2010 drivers from Lenovo's Driver download site.

The drivers doesn't seem to work and it causes a bluescreen on fresh installed Windows 7 x64.
Solution:
As Clicq suggests, Realtek's own drivers from http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=13&PFid=5&Level=5&Conn=4&DownTy... seems to deal with the issue.

The quality of the screen on an X120e is below expectations.
This is common with low-quality TN panels not helped by glossy displays. My personal X120e screen likes to bleed certain colors of red.
Solution (not really):
One can use the Windows 7 built-in color calibration tool to adjust the colors to make it more tolerable. Adjusting your own viewing angle in relation to the screen might deal with some color issues (hard to figure out what's the correct viewing angle because of TN panel's small range of optimal viewing angles). Also, changing the refresh rate to 60Hz may deal with some headaches due to the screen (as it did for me).

There is a black border when outputting to HDTV through HDMI.
Solution:
AMD's CCC by default sets a specific value for overscan / underscan. One can http://forum.lenovo.com/t5/X-Series-ThinkPad-Laptops/Output-to-TV-via-HDMI-port-black-border-on-the-... while the device is connected via HDMI (the option is hidden if the HDMI port is not used) and adjust the slider to an acceptable value.
Skype asserts after 10-20 seconds of video chat:

When doing a video chat, the video feed will freeze and then skype will crash to desktop.
Solution:
Version 5.3 of Skype seems to be the culprit. Until Skype itself is fixed, one can use Skype 5.2.60.113 from http://www.filehippo.com/download_skype/changelog/9465/ to bypass this issue. Just reject any offer to update to 5.3 after installing 5.2, for now.
If there is anything I missed, please respond and I'll update this post with new information. These are the ones that I have encountered so far with my Lenovo X120e. Don't get me wrong, I like my X120e... it's just been a "learning" experience lol

About the AHCI driver, if you download and open the install file, it'll extract files to where you instructed it to. Look in AMD SB7xx/W764A directory, and there are the AHCI files along with a text file. In that text it shows
