Name in top blue bar of Internet Explorer incorrect

Using Captivate 4.  When creating my captivate file, I leveraged an existing file by renaming it and making necessary changes.  After publishing, when the demo is opened, the top blue banner of IE displays the original project name.  The steps I took to try to correct it are:  updated the project name field found under File > Document Info > Project > Info, and renamed the Project Title in the Publishing dialog box before publishing.  It still is displaying the original name instead of the new name.
How do correct this so that the new project title displays in the blue IE bar?

There is a workaround I've used for this issue that works most of the time.
Open the project file that won't update the title properly and Save As to a new project file name in a totally different folder.  NOTE that it must be a different name and different folder from the originals.
Update the title text in the publish dialog and publish.
Now Save As again back to the original filename and file folder.
Check the title text in the publish dialog.  If you're lucky, it will now be the one you want.

    The problem started when I turned on the computer this morning. I tried to install Mozilla 4 from your website and that installed but I still have nothing on the top.

    It may be due to Firebug. Seeing as how you're a web developer, it's very possible you have this installed. The latest version, 1.7X a10, appears to cause everything you described. I downgraded to "a8" and that seems to have fixed everything.
    I also recreated a profile from scratch before trying this out, so I can't guarantee it's definitely Firebug.

    edit: If you go to the Firebug forums, you'll see this is now a known problem. http://code.google.com/p/fbug/issues/detail?id=4012 for the issue tracker.

    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />
    Then put that code in place of these lines from your current page:
    <!DOCTYPE html>
    <html>
    <head>
    <meta charset="utf-8" />
    I see that you have two opening <body> tags. Delete one; it is not needed. Add the preload images from the second into the first body tag and delete the second.
    I see code below the closing </html> tag. Re position it before the closing </body> tag.
    Because of these errors mentioned above, it was impossible to see the page. Fix and reply here when you have done so.
    Also, it is not possible for me to divine what difficulty you are having. If you can please also express it in English (LOL), I'll be happy to suggest a correction for you!
    Beth
    p.s. Posting entire blocks of code is NEVER as helpful as giving us a link to the pages in action. I seldom read through code dumps here in the Forum.

  • I want to put a row of my favourites at the top of the screen like the favourites bar in internet explorer !!

    when i use internet explorer I get an irritating message saying internet explorer has stopped working, which is driving me mad so I will not use explorer any more I am trying mozilla firefox, there is a function in explorer that I like which is a favourites bar below the row of open windows below the address bar can this be activated in firefox thanks PC.

    Yes, you can rearrange / move the elements of the default Firefox Toolbars and combine to save space by using the Customize mode, see this. <br />
    https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/How+to+customize+the+toolbar <br />
    http://kb.mozillazine.org/Toolbar_customization
    As far as the Site Advisor add-on - with add-on Toolbars your results will vary depending upon the Toolbar add-on. Some Toolbar developers do a minimal job and their product isn't as customizable to the extent that Firefox provides for; where other Toolbar add-ons were done the "right way" and they are as customizable as the default Firefox Toolbars.

  • Display of internal hostname on title bar of Internet Explorer

    We are facing a problem regarding host name which gets displayed on the title bar of an Internet Explorer (IE).
    We have installed cFolders on a different server than SRM (internal host name for cFolders: <b>(FQDN Name1).</b> During bid processing when bidder clicks on the collaboration bid invitation link from bid invitation, it connects to cFolders server. At this time it displays internal host name on the title bar of IE on collaboration web page <b>(i.e.FQDN Name1).</b>  As per security concerns, internal host name should not be exposed to external users. Instead, it should have an external host name <b>(i.e. FQDN Name 2)</b> at the same place.

    I'm quite sure the first is requested already on the SQL Developer Exchange. Go there and add your vote and comments to add weight for possible future implementation.
    At least until then, you can do as I: mark your connections with the username (like "DB_X - User_Y").
    To change users in a worksheet, issue:
    ALTER SESSION SET CURRENT_SCHEMA = your_other_schema;Hope that helps,
    K.

  • Rollover images in Dreamweaver CS6 show blue frame in Internet Explorer...

    Hi
    I've created some very simple rollover buttons in Photoshop and placed them into Dreamweaver as rollover images to use as a navigation bar.
    They appear correct in all browsers except Internet Explorer - they appear with a blue frame around?  The table boarder is set to 0...
    My Dreamweaver knowledge is very limited so appologies if there is a very simple solution to my problem :-)
    Many thanks for any suggestions.
    Kim

    Thank you for your help - this works :-)
    Sorry about my lack of knowledge :-)
    Thanks again!

  • My system needs internet explorer for a application I need to down load, however I need to down load the latest yahoo tool bar for internet explorer to work properly and firefox will not allow the down load of yahoo toolbar. How do I fix this?

    I have not used Internet explorer since downloading firefox and I need IE for a trading platform that I need to use. In order to get IE working I apparently need to down load the latest version of Yahoo toolbar, however when I try to down load the tool bar Firefox will not allow the down load of that file.

    Thank you so much, for once in my computer life I knew what the problem was, what caused it, why it was caused, what it did, what it made it do and most importantly how to fix it and to do it correctly and expeditiously. I can not Thank You all enough for all of the help! I also have Pogo mailed this to all on my friends list, where they have all learned as I have and have fixed theirs also. and the message is being spread. Thank You again, I just can not say it enough.

    Hi,
    read this to be aware there are security reasons why this is disabled in most browsers: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/arvindsh/archive/2011/02/09/window-open-without-address-bar.aspx
    Otherwise is the code something like this:
      newwindow=window.open(url,'name','height=500,width=400,left=100, top=100,resizable=yes,scrollbars=yes,*location=no*,toolbar=yes,status=yes');Herald ten Dam

    Sorry, but your CSS is has been mangled beyound recognition.
    The solution is to start with an untouched style sheet. Then add or modify the CSS testing in your browsers as you make the changes.
    Have a look at the following where I have positioned the menu. All that is now required is the styling for font and the hover event.
    <!doctype html>

  • Nav bar bombs Internet Explorer for Windows

    There was another thread on iWeb sites bombing IE for Windows - I've tried everything on that thread to no avail, so I thought I'd send out a new plea.
    It appears that my Nav Bar is what's bombing IE. People can load a page, but when they click the Nav Bar IE crashes. I've also noticed on Firefox (Mac) the Nav Bar takes FOREVER to load - and this with a fast connection.
    Help PLEASE. I have timely news to get out and a large part of my friends and associates can't access my site. Asking people to download Firefox falls on deaf ears - most people don't want to deal with something new.
    This is my site, FWIW. And no, the lines and boxes do not touch.

    Help much appreciated. Leslie

  • My verticle Spry menu will not work in Internet Explorer

    I know a lot of people have posted about similar issues, and I've researched multiple "solutions" on multiple forums for something that will work, but nothing has solved the problem so far.
    Here is a link to the prototype homepage: http://www.abrasivesales.com/indexnew.html
    Everything looks great on my mac when opened in Firefox or Safari, however when opened on Internet Explorer on a PC, the menu ceases to be verticle, instead extending horizontally past the end of the screen.  Also, the menu items adopt a white background color, and none of the submenu items will appear when their parent menu item is rolled over.
    PLEASE HELP....this issue has kept me from launching the site for a week now, and my superiors are wondering why this problem is taking me longer than it did to build the homepage in the first place, so I'd love to look like less of an idiot.
    I assuming this is a CSS issue, so I've posted my CSS code below:

    I solved one of my own problems.  It turns out I still had a setting for width set to "auto" instead of a pixel amount.  So now my menu displays normally and my submenus are no longer invisible.
    One one tab, "Products", I set the top at -430px, which internet explorer seems to ignore.  I'm so close!  I'll search for the answer but any help is greatly appreciated.

  • I can copy a URL, but cannot paste it in the body of an e-mail. Also doen't hypelink it. I do not have this problem using Internet Explorer..

    When I copy a URL and go to paste it in an e-mail, it won't paste. Some other box opens. I can paste the URL in the subject line, but doesn't hyperlink it. (blue) When using Internet Explorer, I don't have this problem. I'm new to FF with a new computer.

    Did you try to use the keyboard to paste?
    * Copy: Ctrl+C or Ctrl+Insert
    * Paste: Ctrl+V or Shift+Insert
    * Cut: Ctrl+X or Shift+Delete
    Just above the textarea that you use to enter the message text on the "Compose New Mail page" there is usually a button bar with buttons to add text formatting like Bold and Italic.<br />
    That toolbar may also have a button to turn a text link into a clickable hyperlink (look for a chain like button).<br />
    You can select the text and click that button to turn the link into a clickable hyperlink.<br />
    If you can't find the button then hover them all to check the tooltip of each (e.g. Insert hyperlink).<br />

  • Enabling Flash Player in Internet Explorer

    If you’re having problems viewing Flash content on the Web using Internet Explorer 9 or higher, even though you’re sure Flash Player is installed, it may be because the Flash Player Add-on has been disabled (turned off) in your browser settings.
    To enable Flash Player, please follow the steps outlined below:
    Please click here for an HTML5 version of this video: YouTube HTML5 HD Link
    Launch Internet Explorer and navigate to http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/find-version-flash-player.html
    If you see an animation playing, then Flash Player is enabled.
    If you don’t see an animation playing, then Flash Player is not enabled. In that case, click on the Tools icon in the top right corner of Internet Explorer. (The icon looks like a cogwheel.)
    In the drop-down menu which appears, click Manage Add-Ons.
    In the dialog which appears, select Toolbars and Extensions.
    In the list of Add-ons, look for “Shockwave Flash Object” – which is another name for Flash Player.
    In the Status column, check to see whether Shockwave Flash Object is Disabled. If it is, click the row for Shockwave Flash Object to highlight it.
    In the bottom right corner of the Manage Add-ons dialog, click the Enable button.
    Close the Manage Add-ons dialog.
    Click Refresh to reload the webpage. If you see the animation playing this time, then Flash Player has been successfully enabled.
    If you continue to encounter problems viewing Flash content after completing these steps, please see our FAQ on ActiveX filtering.
    ActiveX Filtering in Internet Explorer

    Me too. Thanks a million, Chris. Without you, I would go crazy pulling my hair off.
    I tried everything I possible could, you name it, I did it, but I was kept advised to download
    and install the latest flash version. The next step I would try to uninstall IE9 and re-install IE8,
    because I did not have such an issue when I was using IE8. If this fails, I would even try to
    buy a new computer. Finally, I came across this forum and find your answer.
    I follow your instructions, and finally I DID IT. I can see all videos now.
    Many many thanks to you Chris. You save me a lot of work and money.
