Navegation Bars and Language Problem

I am kind of crazy with languages differences...
1-I would like to get good documentation about how languages work in relation to content areas. Pls let me know if there is something available.
2-Today I had some weird stuff:
I have 2 languages working in my portal:
english and spanish
(sometimes I work in english and sometimes I work in spanish).
I have a Navegation bar in the Shared Content Area, which I used in several content areas.
The navegation bar only contains some images.
Today we decided to replace the old images with some new ones.
So, somebody else connected to the Portal (in spanish language) and "edit" the image elements, selected the new image file and then "apply".
If we connect to Portal using Spanish and we go to the Content Area, then we can see the Navegation Bar with the new images.
But if we connect to Portal using English and we go to the Content Area, then we see the Navegation Bar with the OLD images.
My Content Areas have default language "english".
Originally I had some content areas with default language "spanish", but I ended deleting them because they worked very very bad.
Maybe we are doing something wrong ?
Maybe we should follow certain rules(in terms of languages) when editing existing items and changing them?
Any advise will be appreciated..

Based on your reply now I have some more questions:
In a content area with default language english, I logon to Portal , then selected Spanish and I added 2 items: a Text item and an URL item.
Then I logout, login again, selected English and I still see both items. Is this correct behaviour?

Maybe you only referred to Images?

Is it possible to change my existing content areas to default language spanish?
I know Portal does not give that option, but maybe there is something else I could do?
Would it help me to use the "Translation" tab in the Content Area properties?
What is exactly the "Create Translation" for?
I pressume I should define my content areas with default language Spanish, instead of english. If I cannot change the default language, can I create a new Portal Instance, create the content area with default language spanish, and finally import the content area from the other instance where the default language was English?
Any suggestion will be very wellcome.

Can you bring up the menu bar with pressing the F10 key or tapping the Alt key?
*View > Toolbars (press F10 to display a hidden menu bar)
Open the Customize window to set which toolbar items to display:
*Firefox menu button > Options
*View > Toolbars (press F10 to display the menu bar)
*Right-click empty toolbar area
*check that "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
*If the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the toolbar palette in the customize window to the Bookmarks Toolbar
*if missing items are in the toolbar palette then drag them back from the Customize window on the toolbar
*if you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar set up

Menu Bar and dock problems - MenuBar won't highlight and Dock freezes

Just started having this problem - but had it with Leopard and not sure what I did to fix it. Suddenly the Magnified Dock is freezing - won't slide along with the mouse pointer. Also the menu bar won't highlight the choices of a drop-down menu...
I've tried restarting many times - no change. I believe I have to trash a preference file - but not sure which one! This is almost like when I had the Logitech software installed - but that's gone and trashed - so that cannot be the cause.
Sometimes the curser remains a separation line instead of moving to a pointer or the hand - there are several things related here I believe.
Thanks for any help - or if you need more info, let me know. This is really annoying and I'd like to restore this soon!

Things are definitely still not right.
The most disturbing thing is Finder not responding ("The application Finder.app can't be opened." with code -10810), and not relaunching when killed from either Force Quite or the Activity Monitor. Also Aperture would simply fail to start (just startup then freeze with 'not responding') and after a couple of freezes it did start up ok.
I did a bunch of 'housekeeping' uninstalls including Adium, which I'd recently installed, and Chrome (as well as a bunch of random apps that I don't use) and it seemed to have only improved stability - it's still screwing up pretty randomly.
I reinstalled Chrome and still seems to be ok (Aperture still starting ok), although I can't really say I trust it as Aperture did fail a couple of times before it started ok (I didn't keep a strict log of exactly what sequence of uninstalls/reinstalls/reboots I carried out), and also iTunes froze as well, although that too has now started ok - I don't use it regularly so I haven't started it since then.
Basically now that everything's running I haven't done much else to experiment.
Doh! Stupidly I've just started iTunes again "just to see" and it's frozen, along with Finder. (*£&$ing ****!!!!!! (This is on the iMac - everything else is still running, and if you're reading this then I was still able to post it from Chrome.)
Something is definitely wrong with my system(s). I guess I'll leave it a week or so and see if an update comes out before I take the Macbook Pro to a Genius bar somewhere for a rant.

Dock magnification, menu bar and scrolling problems

I'm running 10.6.4 and have suddenly noticed that for no apparent reason, dock magnification, roll over menus and screen scrolling in Zoom mode have stopped working. I've checked all the settings and they are set properly. If I shut down and restart, everything works fine for a few minutes, then the problem starts up again. I've fixed permissions and have even unplugged the Mac for a few minutes, but nothing seems to work permanently. I've checked my CPU cycles and they're down in the 1-4% range, so nothing seems to be running in the background. I'm baffled why this suddenly began and why, after a restart it works fine for a few minutes then the problem starts up again. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Locale and language problem after installation

hello
on my new laptop i install fresh copy of arch linux, my old installation work over 4 years , but now i chcange laptop and i do new system. So following by official wiki guide i install arch, i install PL language pack, setting locale.gen etc... so now KDE is half polish and half english, also i cant running some application for example User Managment , i cant run krusader (root) all app has install in eng language like firefox, chromium, etc, console is eng language, no polish fonts, i check everything 4-5 times and looks OK, i read Polish guide some video tutorial and should work but not.. any ideas ?

That sounds bad. You might try setting up a new user account and see if it works when you are logged in there. If not, I would reinstall the OS.

Charts and Language problem...

Hi Everyone,
I have the following problem.
I am trying in a COLUMNS_STACKED_3D Chart (or whatever the chart is) name of company and amounts.
If I write the name of the campanies in english, everything works fine.
But if I write the name in hebreu, I get an Exception.
Does someone know why ?

Printing and language problem after re-installing BasePackage-Leopard ques?

I reinstalled BasePackage system as advised only it seems I reinstalled the entire package. What happened? It restarted and I received the window as if the computer was new and I had to fill in all the appropriate info. Well it worked fine saving all my settings etc. and I was able to verify permissions and repair. However MAIL started acting up and requested the password for my mail several times until I think that is solved.
But I have several problems now. I work with Arabic and Hebrew going over from the keyboard 'command/space' and now with this command I get Spotlight. On my word processor Nisus or Mellel or on TextEdit even if I click on the Hebrew/Arabic icon and also choose the appropriate Hebrew/Arabic font it will only write in English.
Aside from this I cannot print at all. I am using HP LaserJet 5MP with AppleTalk thru an ethernet connection on my router because of the outdated technology.I am using a 'bridge' from Asante technology for this.
I have an external Firewire HD which I have started up from now and I can print from this and have no problems with the Hebrew/Arabic.
Also I have not gone over to Leopard for the following reason. As mentioned above I am using a bridge thru ethernet to facilitate my printer. I have been told by many who have also not gone over to Leopard that there are driver problems with printers. Has this been fixed? Is it applicable to my situation?

Bookmarks bar and home page problem in Safari 8.02

Safari 8.0.2 is driving me mad with it’s apparent differences from previous versions. Principally, I no longer have a bookmarks bar and cannot set a home page. So, off I went to the Apple support site at http://www.apple.com/support/mac-apps/safari/ and was amazed to find no reference to 8.02? It all seems to be about Safari 7. (How I wish I could actually go back to that version)
Am I just not seeing something obvious past the frustration of continually finding that so many tasks which used to be so easy in previous OS versions, seem to be so confusing in Yosemite? I am currently running Safari 8.02 installed and updated courtesy of the, (for me at least) disastrous Yosemite 10.10.1.
It really gets my back up to think that Apple forces users to depend on the goodwill of the volunteers on this forum to solve problems with their OS. Clearly, they don’t make enough money to provide the resources to keep their own support pages up to date!
Sorry all, end of rant, but If anybody knows how to get the bookmarks bar back and get the home page preference setting to actually work, can you please help me?

Thanks for your speedy reply. I knew it would be something embarrassingly simple. (although I have to say I was looking for bookmarks, not favourites) Anyway, thank you.
Reference the home page, I am going to preferences/general, with my desired home page as the current one and clicking on set to current page option but whenever I restart Safari, it opens with whatever page was current when I last quit Safari. I have also tried typing the desired homepage in that homepage box but it still seems to have a mind of its own. (I have put a home page icon on the menu bar at the top, next to the url which works fine but I never had to do this before, the homepage setting in general preferences used to work just fine)

Customizing The Tool Bar and Setting Preferences Problems

Need Help With Safari
While trying to customize the toolbar and setting preferences like setting auto fill, adding Develop or any other preference everything looks fine, I shut down Safari and re-open and everything I changed has been lost. I've tried removing the P-Lists, re-installing Mountian Lion 10.8.4 and several other things to fix this problem.
One other thing that happens is, I try to add a new folder to the favorites bar and all it does is loop. once the looping startes I have to force quite. The only way to add a new folder is on my iPhone or iPad.

Does the dialog show "You can read and write" in the Sharing & Permissions section?
In the General section, is the box labeled Locked checked?
What is the Modified date?

I am having problem with my notifications bar and control centre bar. It doesn't work with sliding my fingers on the screen and when I restart the phone it works properly but again after few days the problem persist? My phone is an iphone6 8.1.3

First, try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose data by resetting.
If this does not help, set it up as new device, explained here:

If still no luck, get it checked by visiting an Authorized Apple Service Provider or contact Apple Support to get it serviced:

Are you talking about changing the keyboard layout when you are working in Windows? If so, you need to tell people how you are running it (bootcamp, parallels, other) and whether you have already done stuff like

Problem with set-up: Blackberry ID- country and language

Hello, I am setting up my Playbook tablet for the first time and have hit a snag on the third or fourth screen. I am supposed to enter my country and language for Blackberry ID, but I see only 'No country indicated' and I find no way to enter a country and language, as prompted. According to the tutorial, this screen should show a language option immediately. I went to get a Blackberry ID, through my e-mail address but it is obviously not 'connected' in any way (yet) to my Playbook tablet.
I hope someone might help me with this and I will certainly appreciate said help! Must say the obvious, I am new to this forum, but I am sure I am posting my question in the right forum.

No worries, It could have been that you lost connection. Doing this will make sure that you are connected. Sometimes you may need to delete the connection and try setting up again and then going further will display what you are looking for.

ClearType is on and size of text is medium 125% problem menu bar bookmark bar and tab text is not clere at all

system is windows 7 ClearType is on and also in display settings medium is chosen for 125% text size all the bars and tab text is very not clear at all

Little bit of progress:
When I allow whatever IE7 blocks, the menu works but 75% of
the background images don't show up until I hover over them. The
tabbed menu seems to work fine then though.
Edit: Sorted the images no showing, but the "Stopped ActiveX
running" etc error menu still pops up...can I stop that happening
or is it something that is set on each individual's computer?
Also the white box background around the round buttons show
up, as if it was jpeg not a GIF, is that solvable?
