Need help to crypt information in database

Hi,
I need to crypt different data before inserting them in the database and, of course, to be able to retrieve and uncrypt them.
I don't know how to do it and even how to start.
I found different help about crypting passwords and testing the crypted password but nothing about crypting long or string values, strore them and uncrypt them.
please, help.

Need help identifying controller information in hyperdraw

Hello,
Sorry if this is a dumb questions, but I'm in the middle of a project and need help ASAP. In one of my tracks (Real Guitar) there is some form of controller information present at the start of the track and I have no clue what it is! Is there a preference/key command that shows all data in hyperdraw, and then lets you select it (similar to the way the matrix editor works if you double click in the background, and then click on a specific note?)

I use the method that Jim suggested. I have the "H" key programmed for autodefine. (I've also got another two keys programmed to simply turn hyperdraw on and off for the selected region(s)). Autodefine is very cool. If there are, say, 4 different controllers in the track, hitting H the first time will show you the lowest-numbered controller; hit it again and it shows you the next higher number controller, and so on. The controller number is displayed in the lower LH area of the hyperdraw display for each region.
If a track contains controller information for multiple channels, you'll see two numeric values in the lower LH corner -- the controller number and MIDI channel for that controller, separated by a comma.

Need Help, put together information, summary to print

I need help.
I want to make a e-learning for school children of the 5th class.
I have a lot of excersises like a fill-in-text or drag and drop and so on. Now my question is, can I put the information the children puts in together like a summary at the end of the lesson, so the children can print it like a worksheet at the end?

Do you need more detail on how to create the PDF? If so, that's a bit beyond the scope of what we usually do here in the Captivate forums. There are many different ways to create a PDF.
As for linking the PDF, I already advised. But you may need more detail here. When you insert a Click Box or a Button object in Captivate, you assign an action that occurs when the user clicks the object. The assignment occurs in the properties panel on the right. The typical action is "Go to next slide", but it's a drop-down you may change. I suggested changing it to assign "Open URL or File". Once you do that, you will see a field where you may type the URL or the file name.

Dw cs5 with existing wordpress site hosted on yahoo need help connecting to existing remote database

I am having trouble establishing a database connection. I can connect with test databases but am having trouble using dreamweaver wtih my existing wordpress website. Am I able to use dreamweaver to edit and live view my changes before uploading the changed files to my live site? Am I able to access my existing wordpress database with dreaweaver? I have imported it to my testing server/database but still seem to be having trouble establishing a connection with it (think maybe my folder hierarchy might be off).
macintosh HD/Applications/MAMP/htdocs/nwm/wp/index.php
"nwm" is the name of the folder that I have copied all of my site files to and the folder I have dreamweaver pointing to. "wp" is what I have all of the wordpress files in (the ones I copied from my yahoo server - including all my current theme files etc.)
I am trying to put the info into the mysql connection dialog box:
Connection Name: Testing (i am assuming this name is for my benefit only and doesn't actually matter)
MySQL Server: mysql

Password: *****
Database: wp
and am getting this message
MySQL Error#: 2013
Lost connection to MySQL server at 'reading initial communication packet', system error 61
did some google seaches of the error. Tried turning off the firewall, and the advance tab allow mysql incoming (there were 2 one was allow one was not allow. I changed both to allow)
Cant really find anything on yahoo to help me out. Looked in phpmyadmin database named wp: wp_users to get the username and password (which due to previous look for help - I think the password was encrypted cuz it looked like a bunch of mumbo jumbo and am fairly certain I know the correct password).
Any help would be greatly appreciated!! I spent $50 on live chat last night trying to resolve the issue only to find out at the end that the guy really didn't understand my problem and doesn't have dreamweaver. I have also watched countless videos on Lynda.com and have been thru forum after forum. While this problem is only a couple weeks old since I just got CS5. I have been having trouble making any headway learning php since I cant seem to make it past the set up parts. I have done the php / mysql essential training on lynda.com with relative success except that I really dont want to work with any more exercise files so I didn't go on to the beyond the basics. I recently went thru most of the Dreamweaver CS5 and Wordpress 3. Also did the first 4 chapters of Dreamweaver CS5 with PHP and MySQL. I need to start integrating things into my live sites. I am also trying to work my way thru the learning php, mysql, javascript book by o'reily media by robin nixon (as fun as reading a math text book) can't get thru it since I can't relate any of it to my current sites/needs
I am on MacBookPro OSX 10.6.6
Installed MAMP to specification on all 20 tutorials I have tried including lynda.com
Tested the testing server and is working
Just installed dreamweaver cs5
have been using wordpress online to create and edit posts (recently upgraded to 3.? whatever the latest update was online which I believe update the files on my yahoo server?)
Have also installed wordpress on my computer (several times thru each tutorial trying to get this right.)
Am I expecting the impossible?

If wordpress controls it's own connection why am I unable to use the live view. I have synced the remote site to my local computer so all the files should be just as they are online with the exception of the DB which contains most of the content.
I have done all of those steps. I have even exported the database from inside internet phpmyadmin and imported into computer phpmyadmin. When I hit live view I get one of couple of errors.
1. "One is that the dynamic related files could not be displayed due to an internal server error"
At some point I was able to view some sample files inside dreamweaver. But I would like to be able to view my real site files. I was able to "connect" to the local databases (not the copy of my real one - I think that maybe that was because it is somehow nested inside another db an am going try to reimport to new location). And then I changed the host/username/password trying to deal with the internal server error. Now instead I get the cannot connect to the database Error 2016 or whatever from the origianl post. Also, I am using yahoo if that matters and all I can find about what their server name is: mysql - is that correct?
I have been thru this so many times with so many different tutorials I am losing track of what is what.
2. Can I access my remote database within dreamweaver? I do not want to create dummy files (seems to be a waste of time). And while if it had worked exporting/importing a duplicate on to my computer would have satisfied me for a little while it also seems some what counter productive. Since every post and page is different if I were doing a daily updates etc how would I be able to change the formating or design of them if I can't access the remote files. Would I re- import everytime I want to work on it to get current database?
I am trying to be clear. I listed all the specs I could think as listed in your "how to get help fast post" (yes I read that at least twice too) of all of the steps and possible reasons for my problems. I also thought that the forum was on a seperate site so I didn't think it would count as a duplicate. I am frustrated to tears and am feeling incredibly stupid that after all this time and all these tutorials yes you are right I obviously am not understanding what is going on which is why I am on this forum.

now i want also a resource so that less educated person can enter their inventory information in xml file(i means less educated person here who have no knowledge about xml like if i use a databse like oracle or simple msaccess,
for this purpose i ll simple provide an interface to the user to enter inforfation without let him knowing about any database detail)

Need help in changing of Essbase Database

I have given task to give few changes in Essbase database 7. I am going to write my task briefly as under...
1- There is already one application created like existing application is XYZ and its data base exist only for HH (AA_TT / AA_TT)
2- I have to create new ABC essbase application for 5 divisions of this compnay . Lets say divisions are (AA, BB, CC)
3- New ABC Essbase application will be model after exsiting AA_TT database.
*4- Now I have give changes or changes which i need to do in Essbase database as follows:-*
*(a) Load Current Time Dimension ( M01, M02, M03, and etc...)*
*(b) Load current Division dimensions*
*(c) Load current Per. Code Dimensions*
Since I am new and on a learning mode so please Can someone guide and help me on point number 4 like.....

As for adding members to the outline, you can either do it manually (not too painful for a Time Periods dimension), or if you have the members you need in a file, or available via SQL, then load 'em up using a Load Rule. Using the Parent/Child relationship is one of the preferred methods, but that means your source data needs to be in a parent / child relationship.
There are other ways in the load rule, Generation, Level, etc, but if your source data isn't very good these methods of building the dimension can be a little harder to control.

Hi, i need to connect to a remote MySql DataBase in windows from IPhone but..... i'm a noob with Xcode and Objective-C.

I do not think MCPKit will help you on the iPhone. It is just an Objective-C wrapper around the standard mysql libraries which are not available for the iPhone. Your best bet would be to post on the mysql forums and see if you can get any help.
You can try extracting the mysql client library source code into a separate static library project, and see if you can get it to build for the iPhone.

Need help connecting a MS Sql Database in CF Administrator

Good morning,
I`m hoping someone out there can help me.
I simply want to add a MS SQL datasource within Coldfusion Administrator.
I have connected to it successfully with Sql Server Management Studio, using Windows Authentication.
I`m assuming I need to use Windows Authentication to connect within Coldfusion Administrator
How do I fill out these fields then:

I believe you DON'T.
ColdFusion, by default, does not run as any type of user that would work with Windows Authentication. It can be set up to do so, through the windows services panel. You configure the ColdFusion service(s) to "Log On As" some windows domain account with the desired permissions. This is normally done to allow CFML code to access network resources for file operations and the like.
But, I don't know if that is good enough for a connection to a SQL server. I've never had to deal with it myself (I have operations and database administrators types who deal with this for me). But I have read many many times on forums like this that the default security configuration of SQL server does not work with ColdFusion. That one has to set up an alternate configuration in SQL, TCP/IP I think?

Need help setting up the SRDEMO database

I'm trying to setup the srdemo database for the srdemo application that comes with ADF. I downloaded Oracle database 10g express and installed it on my station. The database is working ok since I can access the the welcome page and browse objects.
However when I run the setupDb ant script I get the following:

There is a 2 TNSNAMES.ORA files on my station, one in the admin dir under where I installed 10g express and another in a different directory that , I guess is used to access some other corporate databases on the network.
I added the following entry in both TNSNAMES.ORA files without success:

(DESCRIPTION =
(ADDRESS_LIST =
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = localhost)(PORT = 1521))
(CONNECT_DATA = (SID = srdemo) )
I'm not sure if the SID is srdemo.

Thanks, XE is indeed the SID for 10g express. Just for the record, if the srdemo has been installed with the wrong SID, it needs to be removed and install again.

Customer Relationships Management (CRM) is a model for managing any Organization's interaction with current and future customers. It involves technology to organize, automate and synchronize SALES, SERVICES(postsales) AND MARKETING(presales).
First of all you need to get SAP CRM installed in your system and then you need to get command over Account and Contact Management (Business Partner). The same can be learned using WebUI or GUI. From GUI the transaction launcher is WUI then web page opens up enter your credentials and select Role - Salespro. Open the Account and Contact section and do some R&D and you can learn. But in GUI you need to go to SPRO -> IMG -> Cross Application Components -> SAP Business Partner -> Business Partner -> Basic Settings -> Number Ranges & Groupings -> Define Number Ranges. Here you have defined number range then you need to assign to some group created from SPRO same way. And Finally maintain Business Partner using Tcode - BP.
Then You Learn Organizational Management which allows us to map our marketing, sales, service structure maintaining company's structure including the position and Employees in an Application and assign specific attributes to the otganizational units.
Path: SPRO -> IMG -> CRM -> Master Data -> Organizational Management -> Organizational Model -> Create Org Model/Change org model.
Just Go ahead and with some more R&D in the system and taking of F1 Help of SAP Documentation I think you can easily learn SAP CRM.

Here's some ideas:
You dont need multiple statements and resultSets. Just one of each. Between reuse, close the statement and resultSet . Use each resultSet to read the data into a collection and then get your data out of the collection. Dont work directly with the resultSet. Also, instead of
"select name1 from person where personID=1234"
"select name2 from person where personID=1234"
you can combine them into one:
"select name1,name2 from person where personID=1234"
This line will not run because its commented out:

Put System.out.println() above this line to print out the values of each
item in the if statement to see if stmt6 runs.

Need help in retrieving data from database table

Hi ,
I have a Ztable with primary key.The table gets automatically sorted on primary key
But I want to retrieve the ztable data in the order in which i enter data in to table.
EXAMPLE :
I enter data as : mydata
action
welcome
When i retrieve this data internal table should be filled in the same order.
Your inputs will be very helpful.

You will need to change your table to use a number as the first key field (after the client) which you increase by 1 each time you make a new entry. Alternatively you can add a data/time stamp to the end of your table and use this to sort your internal table once you've extracted the records.

Need help saving user information

I was just asked to start looking into how we will save user information from a Flex application. We will need to store information for each user such as the following:
1) sort settings for all objects for grids.
2) which page/window user was in.
3) possilbe field data that user last entered (instead of starting over).
I was just wondering if anybody had to do something similar and how they went about it. I worry that this could be come pretty messy and was hoping someone figured out a logical approach to it.

Then make a settings class , and create an instance during runtime if one doesn't exist in your db. When a setting changes , record the change on your object and serialize it out to an AMF-capable backend. There you shove the settings object into your db through an ORM layer. When the user starts up the app again , send out their settings object and go from there.

at present i am working in oracle, i need one help.
i want to create one directory in c:\drive and i have to store and retreive my images in that directory.i want to do in oracle only,i am not using any front end. i need coding for that,please give me coding to do that.first i have to store that images in my table.that image is in my desktop,how to call that image and how to store that image in my table and how to store that image in that directory. please give coding and ideas for that,help meeeeeeeeeeeeee.

You need to create a oracle directory which will point to the physical directory where picture or image file lies...
For this you need create directory privillege
Once you create the oracle directory..
Please see my sample try

insert into sample_bfile values (1,bfilename('<oracle_dir_name>','<file_name>');
This will insert into the reference of the image in the column...
But you cant select this column in sqlplus which u might be knowing...
Then you can access the image with the front end
