Need recommendation on how to create info popup

Question

I have a form with many fields.  For a couple of the fields, it is helpful to provide a sentence or two explanation for those who need it.  However I don't want to include the entire sentence beside those fields (since it makes the form look sloppy).  Instead I would like to include a little question mark graphic which when either clicked or moused over provides the descriptive text.  What is the best way to do something like this in Dreamweaver?  I wasn't sure if a JavaScript alert was the best way or not.  Maybe like a little popup box or something?  Is there something in Dreamweaver that is used for such a thing?
