Need technical person to talk to my tech person

I've got the server and the RoboSource Control 3.1 has been
installed. I'm just the technical writer and unfortunately, I can't
get my tech support to read the installation guide. I need a
technical person to talk to my tech person to ensure that the
installation and permissions are correct. Also, need some
assistance in making sure that the our current projects are put up
on the server and then loaded properly on 2 tech writers PCs.
Right now, because we're limited to 1 person working on a
project at a time, we've got a process for backing up to a shared
drive, downloading to local C: drive, and putting back up when
done.

After reinstalling Mac OS X, run the Migration Assistant at the first opportunity, migrate only home folders, and do not create an user account on the MacBook other than the migrated one.

    Thanks for your answer. I can't get my support group to read
    the documentation that is available so I can't tell you what
    questions need to be answered. I've got my manager working on
    getting a conference call with Adobe support and our guys because
    that's the only way this will ever get implemented. Problem is
    RoboServer7 and RoboHelp 7 are not supported by Goldman Sachs so it
    hard to get internal SAs to support these applications, which
    leaves my team hanging.
    Regarding the F1 help, I'm using FlashHelp. We've already
    implemented F1 using the full path on the server to link the help
    topic to the window as they didn't want to use map #s. Question is
    how to move the application help, which includes the F1 help
    pathing, from its current location on the application server to the
    server where RoboServer7 is installed without losing all of F1
    links? One of my guys thought there might be way to do it with
    relative path linking?
    I'm also thinking that we should migrate to FlashHelp Pro
    once we get RoboServer 7 up and running.

I bought Photoshop Elements via Amazon some months ago and it worked fine.  I then got a message that advised that the trial version would expire, which it subsequently has (I have been trawling your site for weeks and weeks trying to find an email or phone contact to get some assistance).  Relucltantly, I am now typing this - and I suspect it will not help in the slightest!  I bought the FULL not TRIAL edition of Photoshop Elements and I have contacted Amazon who confirmed this, but say I need to contact you.  Can you please let me know how I can resolve this?  Louise A Fraser

    THE use of the apple support is a mess also.

    The only people who can possibly assist you with this is Apple Customer Relations, call your local Apple contact number and ask for Customer Relations then explain your situation clearly and politely (be firm but don't rant).
    You might want to investiage what the local laws are regarding defective goods and 'fit for use' definitions on warranties etc. Consumer Protection can be a useful tool to use or bargain with if needed ...

    When I click on the link to launch QuickTime Pro, it does not launch the program. A small box appears at the bottom of the screen with the QuickTime logo "Apple QuickTime", but when I hover the mouse over the icon, it contains a blank blue screen. If I click on it, nothing happens.
    Any suggestions?

    I just bought this quicktime pro ( junk ) I can't believe there is no support for it other than these forums. tried several numbers and you end up with some poor boob in INDIA who doesn't know anything about it or they ask for a serial number that you can't give and don't have. WOW what a disapointment this products lack of support turned out to be, wish I didn't buy it.
    Anyway loaded it and it plays, but when I try to download the video to my computer the drop box on the right corner does not drop down. what am I missing here.?

    I'm having the same problem.  The iPad has never roamed particularly well between access points, but under IOS6 it doesn't seem to roam at all, it simply sticks with the access point it first connected with.
    I don't have a solution for you, unfortunately.

    I need to present my talk  in two official languages. I have two slideshows, one in French and another, with identical content, in English.
    Is there any way to have one slideshow appear on one projection screen, and another on the other projection screen, with both slideshows controlled by the same laptop?

    Keynote is unable to play back two separate presentations.
    The only work around I have used is two computers feeding two projectors with a WiFI remote control which triggers both Macs at the same time.

    I have been struggling with Premiere Elements daily for about six weeks.  Virtually nothing works as expected.  I have completed training.  I have asked here.  I have used the Adobe Chat feature.  I have reinstalled the software.  I have optimized my hard drive.  (I have no problems editing videos with Windows Movie Maker Live with this same computer.)
    I have to assume there is something wrong with my hardware configuration or the way the PE11 is set up on my computer.  (Either that or PE11 is crap, and I'm really leaning towards this latter explanation.)

    Great news!
    Now, if you DID Delete your Prefs file, as ATR instructed, and it became instantly corrupted, I would survey your I/O sub-system, I.e. your HDD's, in case there is some issue there, that is causing corruption.
    Some Adobe users seem to need to refresh their Prefs files often (used by several Adobe programs), but in 20 years of heavy use, I have had to do so only once in Photoshop, and that was when another program crashed my system during a Save, and have never had to do so with any version of Premiere (the original Premiere, Premiere Pro or Premiere Elements). Maybe I have just been very lucky. Pref files can become corrupt, but not all that often - I would fear that something was wrong somewhere.
    1.  The support rep didn't charge me the $39.  I asked him how I was supposed to pay, and he said, no charge.  I have no idea why.
    That was a kind gesture, and I am glad to hear of it. I know that Adobe has been working on both Customer Support and Technical Support, so perhaps that tech rep was trying to do their part. Good news.
    2.  About a week ago, a support rep on chat told me that PE11 didn't work with the iPhone.  So I've been jumping through hoops to reformat my files before bringing them in to PE11.  After deleting the preference file, PE11 worked with my .mov file (iPhone 5 video) just fine.  Go figure.
    Where iPhone footage CAN be an issue, is if the device uses Variable Frame-Rates, when recording. I first started seeing that, with the iPhone 4S (could have been before, but I did not read of it), and then more with the iPhone 5. Personally, I do not know when the Variable Frame-Rate is invoked - maybe when shooting high-motion, that then slows, or stops? Maybe others can tell you more about the devices?
    If your iPhone footage is NOT Variable Frame-Rate, then PrE should have no issues with it. Just remember to shoot in Landscape Mode, and not Portrait.
    Many users, with iPhone 5's, have found that if they Open their Variable Frame-Rate footage in Apple's QuickTime Pro (a US$ 29 upgrade/unlock), then Export to MOV or MP4 w/ the H.264 CODEC, that resultant footage will be a Constant Frame-Rate, and will then Import fine, into PrE. There are probably other workflows, but the QT Pro method has become popular with the PrPro crowd.
