Needed object class for Reconciliation of OID groups?
Hi,
When I run OID Connector Gruop Lookup Reconciliation I only get the groups thath have the object class *'groupOfUniqueNames'*. All rest of groups are note reconcilied into the Lookup.OID.Group Lookup.
The problem is that I can´t modify all those groups that haven't this object class.
The groups that I can get actually have this object classes:
top
groupOfNames
it's possible to modify OID Connector Gruop Lookup Reconciliation to get all groups???
Tanks in advance.
regards.

Its a matter of setting the right ldap filter in the scheduled task . Find out what is required to fetch all the groups from OID using ldap browser or something else .
And then simply use the same ldap filter in OID Group look up recon ST.
try with (objectclass=group)
Thanks

LDAP object classes for user creation
Hello,
I use a remote LDAP for authentication, works fine. However, i want of copy some attributes from the remote LDAP into the dynamically created user profile. This works fine as long as the attributes are par5t of the standard object classes. The remote LDAP has an extra, site specific, object class for users. Since i want to use the same attribute names i added the schema extension (1 object class with a couple of attributes) to the AM LDAP. So far so good.
My question is: How do i specify the additional object class to be added to the user which is dynamicaly created?
Thanks in advance, RobertRobert,
To resolve this, I believe that you will need to add the new objectclass to the "LDAP User Object Classes" field on the LDAP Data Store. You will also need to add the attributes to "LDAP User Attributes" on the same tab.
Hope this helps. -
Translate Object class (for authorization objects)
I wonder where I can translate the objects class (SU21 - auth objects). I manages to find where I can translate the authorization objects in SE63.
What what is the object type for the objects class in order to translate it.SAP itself told me there is no way to do so. They recommend to directly edit the corresponding text table.

Need FM/Class for Direct deletion of Development Class/Package in ABAP
Hi experts,
I had stored all the unwanted objects in a development class/ package which I intended to delete later. I want this deletion to be done automatically. Is there a function module or class that can help me do this?
Thanks in advance,
Adithya
Edited by: Adithya K Ramesh on Jul 18, 2011 3:56 PMI was hoping a separate server-side process wouldn't be needed -- if you're thinking of something like RMI, that's also a bit heavyweight for my needs. I know I can talk to the remote server on telnet port 23, though.
Further experimentation today with the Jakarta net library has generated something that works using their telnet classes. (After I asked for help here, of course. The same thing happens when I shop for groceries....) But using this leaves me referencing an external library that:
1. has functionality I don't need that complicates the code, and
2. forces me to address licensing requirements.
So I'd still love to see an example of a telnet-like Java class that strips away all the non-essentials in the Jakarta telnet library code, leaving behind a simple public domain class that can be used to connect to a remote host and transfer characters over that connection.
I appreciate that this may be asking for a lot, but as they say, if you don't ask, you don't get. ;-)

Need utilities class for application server file system (i.e. unix etc)
I need to do things to directories and files on the application server.
Is there an SAP class with methods for the application server file system (i.e. unix or whatever) with functionality similiar to what is provided by the methods of CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES for the presentation server?
Is there a group of SAP functions for this task? You may have a look at Thomas Jung article: [sdn contribution : ABAP Server Side File Access, by Thomas Jung|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/7a13f367-0401-0010-47ba-eab0b15cf31c]
Moreover, in release 7.10, it could be possible that SAP introduced input and output stream classes (to mimic java classes), so I guess there could be the ones for application server file system. -
Need the classes for fm REUSE_ALV_HIERSEQ_LIST_DISPLAY does.
I have a requirement where I need to display header and item using alv classes.. (the same functionality that REUSE_ALV_HIERSEQ_LIST_DISPLAY function module does). If any one worked on this please guide.
Hi
Hope it will help you.
Reward if ehlp.
Many a times there is a requirement to display ALV Grid (not ALV List) in the background Job. I have checked the SDN Forum for the same and it has been mentioned that ALV Grid cannot be displayed in Background, but the list output of ALV is possible. So user wont have the actual Grid interface but the List interface.
There is a workaround to display ALV Grid in Background Job. The only restriction is you cant schedule the job through SM36. You need to execute the transaction of the report program, fill in the selection screen data and hit Execute.
The job would be executed in background. User will be able to see the Job Log and Job Status after executing the program. User doesnt have to go to SM37 to view the job status/log. Once the Job Status is changed to COMPLETED, user can click on DISPLAY SPOOL to view the ALV Grid.
Limitations:
Cant schedulea background job
The session should be active until the background job is completed. If the session is closed, then user wont be able to check the output in ALV Grid. User would be able to check the output through spool or SM37
Advantages:
If the spool width is greater than 255 characters, then the entire width could be seen in the output because the output is directed to an ALV Grid and not to spool
Interface of ALV Grid is available instead of ALV List even though its a background job.
Program wont give the TIME OUT error
Steps Required:
1. Once you execute the program, the following screen would be displayed
2. Click Display Job Status to check the Status of the Background Job
3. Click on Display the Job Log to check the Log
4. Click on Display Job Status to check the Job Status
5. Click on DISPLAY SPOOL to check the spool content once the Job Status is changed to COMPLETED. Output is displayed in ALV Grid
Programs:
1. Two different programs needs to be created
ZPROGRAM_ONE: This is the 1st program, where the selection screen and all the data validations would be done. Error handling for invalid data should be done in this program.
Once the data validation is done, this program would call the 2nd program ZPROGEAM_TWO. Build the logic to display ALV Grid in this program. The logic will only display ALV in foreground and it wont be reflected in the spool.
ZPROGRAM_TWO: This program would fetch all the data and do all the processing. If you want the spool output along with ALV Grid output, then build the logic in this program to display ALV Grid.

Need simple class for communicating with Solaris account
Hey, gang. After over a week of searching this forum and the Web for a solution, I'm stuck. I hope someone here can help.
I've got a Java application intended to run on both Windows and Solaris systems that needs to perform the following automated operations:
1. Connect to a user account on a Solaris server.
2. Login.
3. Run an sccs command.
4. Retrieve the output from the sccs command.
I can run commands (such as sccs) directly from Java; I've worked out how to do that. My situation is that I need to run sccs from an authorized account so that all file checkin/checkout operations are tagged properly. So the requirement to connect to a server isn't one I can ignore. I also don't need a full-up interactive client interface -- this needs to be an automated process.
What I'm hoping is that someone here will be willing to provide (or point me to) some relatively simple source code I can call to do this stuff. Maybe an example of a class that uses Socket and a couple of streams to programmatically connect to a server, send commands, and capture input. That's really all I need.
I've tried calling the Jakarta Commons telnet class to connect to the Solaris server, but it's more overhead than I need. (Plus the input stream kept blocking when I tried to use it in a purely automated mode.) I've also tried rolling my own code using the minimal info available on Google, but have not been able to figure out the magic words necessary to get anything back but gibberish. (InputStream and BufferedReader just do not seem to want to cooperate. Either I get back only garbage text, or readLine() or read() gets nothing and just sits and waits until the timeout.)
So I turn to the experts here. If anyone can offer (or direct me to) any simple, non-libraried source code that enables my Java code to connect to and talk to a Solaris machine, I'd be grateful.
Thanks!I was hoping a separate server-side process wouldn't be needed -- if you're thinking of something like RMI, that's also a bit heavyweight for my needs.
I appreciate that this may be asking for a lot, but as they say, if you don't ask, you don't get. ;-)

Graphics2D and AffineTransform needs object-reuse for smooth animation!
Hi,
I'm currently working on a graphical framework for animation using Java2D but has come to a dead end. The goal of the framework is to deliver smooth animation on various platforms, but this seems impossible due to the following fact:
I have a tree of graphical objects i render on a Graphics2D-object. Some of the objects to be rendered are transforms on the Graphics2D instead of visible objects - this way I can have transform-objects in my tree which will affect all child-objects. This is all very nice, but when doing transformations on the Graphics2D A LOT of objects are being created by the implementation of Graphics2D (SunGraphics2D). I've designed my framework to utilize object-reuse and cacheing-mechanisms to ensure no garbage collection is performed when actual animation is in progress - if gc's are performed, this results in visible pauses in the animation. Now, I would like to ask if someone knows how to get around this problem, or suggest I simply abandon Java2D?
The details of my problem is the following:
When doing transforms on the Graphics2D-object which is passed to every object in the tree (and hence, a lot of transformations are being done), a lot of FontInfo-objects are being created - even though I don't use any of them - it's all in the subsystem. The source in the SunGraphics2D is as follows:
// this is called by my framework to rotate all childs in the tree
public void rotate(double d) {
transform.rotate(d);
invalidateTransform(); // the evil starts here
// this is called a lot of places in SunGraphics2D
protected void invalidateTransform() {
// a lot is thigs are going on in this method - cutted out...
// before this method returns, the following takes place
fontInfo = checkFontInfo(null, font); // now we are getting there
// this is the method of pure evil object allocations
public FontInfo checkFontInfo(FontInfo fontinfo, Font font1) {
// every time this method is called, a FontInfo-object is allocated
FontInfo fontinfo1 = new FontInfo();
// and a lot of other objects are being created as well...
}I have come to think, that Java2D is pretty old and should be pretty mature at this point, but now I doubt it since object-reuse is a pretty obvious way of doing optimizations.
Has any of you experienced the same problem or maybe found a solution to doing transformations on a Graphics2D-object without a ton of objects being created?
If you would like to have a look at the problem you can do the following:
Make yourself a little program which is doing some transforms on a Graphics2D-object in a loop (to emulate the 25fps animation and the transform-objects in the tree). Now use your favorite memory profiler (I use JProbe Memory Profiler, free evaluation) and see for yourself - the objects which are garbage collected includes a ton of FontInfo-objects and many AffineTransform-objects.
If I do not find any solution to this problem, I'm forced to face the fact, that Java2D is not suitable for animation-purposes - gc's during animation is no solution!
Thank you for your time - hope to hear from you soon.
Regards,
// x-otic.I think the main point is java transform objects are to slow to use in animations. They definitly have there uses, but for fast animations you need something more optimized.
If you assume a general graphic objects has getHeight, width, x, y, render(). You could do translations using these general properties at an abstract level, letting each graphic object implements its own way to render itself and use the properties.

Hello
I need to add an additional object class to AD groups that are created from OIM. I am using OIM 9.1.0.2 and trying to update the lookup.ad.configuration ldapgroupobject class from "group" to "group | PosixGroup" and it looks like this is not taking. Does anyone know a good way to get the additional object class added when creating new groups in AD? Any help you can give would be appreciated.
NickAnyone able to help on this? I have opened a ticket but not getting anything from them on it.
Thanks for the help

Importing Three Object Classes back TO OID.
Friends,
We are running OAS 10.1.2.3- Stuck with the Forms/Reports 10G.
We have deleted three of the oblix classes by accident using ODM.
oblixPasswordPolicy
oblixPersonPwdPolicy
oblixOrgPerson
The way it happend, we tried including these classes as a part of the dc=xxxxxx -> Add Object Class - Edit TOP, and added the three classes, but got errors when calling these classes (DBMS_LDAP) and
couldn't Edit Top to get rid of these classes, so we had to delete these classes using the Right Click Delete option (ODM). Unfortunately, the delete took off these object classes completely from the OID.
I hope there is a way to use a ldap add using LDIF to import back these classes to the OID branches with going through the installation again.
Thx for your time and suggestions in advance,
KAO.K.
Thx so much.
Here is the ldif file for

I am not sure what do you mean by the 3 missing object classes refeence file is present in the exported schema file. Like I checked the obpasswordcreationdate which is the attribute of oblixPersonPwdPolicy, and it is not in the exported file.
Thx again in advance for you time.

OIM-OID Connector: OID Group Recon Task and organizations
Hi,
I'm evaluating OIM and its OID Connector.
We have groups in our existing OID. We thought that we could use the OID Connector OID Group Recon Task to import those groups into OIM and make them Groups in OIM.
However, when we run the task, it appears to import our groups from OID as organizations, not as groups. It's not clear to me from the OID Connector documentation what exactly the OID Group Recon task is supposed to do. That's why we assumed it was an OOTB method for reconciling OID groups into OIM groups.
What are we doing wrong? Why do we end up with our OID Groups becoming OIM Organizations after running the task?
We are using version 9.4.11 of the OID Connector.
Also, a side issue: how can we delete unwanted organizations from OIM? There's a delete option but it just seems to mark the organizations as deleted but they are still there.
Thanks
Eric
Edited by: PeachEye on 17/03/2010 11:49Hi,
I am also facing the similar issue. I want to reconcile OID groups into OIM User Groups menu item. Please suggest how to proceed.
I ran the schedule task- OID Group Recon Task, but it throws error-

I want to bring OID groups into OIM so that I can manager those OID groups from OIM. Is there any other way to so this? I have to make changes in the OID object class or in the OID field mappings? I have not done any changes in Lookup OID configuration or LookUp Field map parameters.
Please help.
