Negative quantities in LX02

Hi All,
I'm seeing in the lx02 report certain negative values and TO's for those values are already confirmed. But still these values are not going from the system. The bins for which negative quantities are appearing are as follows:
Ex:
TR-ZONE               10,000-KG
0011010405             1,000-KG
TRANSFER                 100- KG
Can anyone please tell me how to clear these negative quantities. Due to some backlog entries our client has posted inventory management but did not do any WM transactions like LT03,LT06,LT12 etc,
Regards
Manish

Hi,
TR-ZONE 10,000-KG  - St.Type: 922
0011010405 1,000-KG - St.Type: 911
TRANSFER 100- KG - St.Type:921
Im trying to do LT01 but I'm not able to clear the negative quantities. Im really not clear which one should be source bin and which one is destination bin.
When I did the same the quantity in the interim bins is getting doubled. Ex: TR-ZONE the quantity is becoming 20,000Kgs.

  • Negative quantities in PM work order.

    Hello Experts,
We are planning to allow negative quantities in PM work order.
Is there are any negative side effects of that?
    Thanks,
    Raneetha,

    Greetings Raneetha,
As mentioned, the input of a negative Quantity in the "Components" tab allows you to create a Reservation with a negative Quantity. This allows you to do a Planned goods return to stock. This also lowers the Planned cost of the order by the value of the materials on the negative reservation. So you need to remember, anything you return to stock is assumed to be a full-value material, not scrap or damaged part, unless you use Split Valuation category.
A Planned negative reservation can be processed as any planned goods movement, e.g. in MIGO. This does not preclude an unplanned return of goods (which decreases the Actual cost, but not the Planned cost).
The reservation is otherwise same as any positive reservation and cleared upon TECO or the relevant confirmation. Note that still upon confirmation you can't do the negative goods movement.

  • Negative quantities

    hello, friends.
i was informed of a scenario where negative inventory quantities are allowed.  so, a delivery can supposedly be posted for goods issue even if inventory is negative (as set in MM).
if negative quantities are allowed, and the material is batch managed, and with strategy 40 (MRP view in material master), what could be the reason for non-posting of goods issue?
    thanks in advance!!!

    hello, friends.
    found the solution.
when negative quantities are activated in MM, even with inventory less than zero, goods can still be issued.  however, for this to be in effect, at least quantity 1 for the material in question should have been entered in the storage location.  otherwise, attempting to execute movement type (e.g. 601) with zero quantities will result in message VL150.
    regards.

  • LB10 does not skip TO line in case of negative quantities

    Hi gurus,
help me on addressing this issue please.
    Case:
Pretend that a WM-Transfer Request was already created for a series of material linked to a certain Production Order --> 4 items in that case:
So the Warehouse supervisor, when using LB10 is able to see this TR
A few minutes later, the Warehouse operator recognize that only one of this items needs an inventory change.
So, using MM-562 movement type and related TO, he set to 0 the quantities.
After this changes, the Warehouse Supervisor try to convert this TR into a TO using "TO IN BACKGROUND" button.
This error message appear and NO TO were created.
There's any way to modify this behavior?
Is possible (like VL06P) to set up a customizing or user exit that can skip only the item that are not pickable??
My expectation is to have a TO with only 3/4 items.
In our system we didn't accept negative quantity, as for Client requirement.
    Thanks a lot
    Marco

    Hi all,
thanks for the replies. I'll try to explain better my scenario:
Pretend that a WM-Transfer Request was already created for a series of material linked to a certain Production Order --> 4 items in that case
I've got a Production Order BOM with 4 components. So the system creates a WM-TR with 4 different items:
    Material A123
    Material B321
    Material C143
    Material D312
Maybe no one will process this TR due to the fact that the Picking Date is far from today.
So the Warehouse Supervisor didn't convert it into a TO.
Maybe the day after, the Warehouse operator recognize that the stock of the material B321, is not correct. SAP is misaligned with the reality.
So, using MM-562 movement type and related TO, he set to 0 the quantities.
After this changes, the Warehouse Supervisor try to convert this TR into a TO using "TO IN BACKGROUND" button:
Material A123 - stock at system level
Material B321 - NO stock at system level
Material C143 - stock at system level
Material D312 - stock at system level
This error message appear and NO TO were created.
There's any way to modify this behavior?
Is possible (like VL06P) to set up a customizing or user exit that can skip only the item that are not pickable??
My expectation is to have a TO with only the 3 item that I can pick.
In our system we didn't accept negative quantity, as for Client requirement.
    Thanks a lot

  • Un-Production - Can you perform prod confs for negative quantities?

Ok so I don't have a system I can use at the moment to set up a scenario and test so I thought I would write a question on here.
Does anyone know if it is possible to do a "negative" production confirmation, the end result being a 102 of the finished good and a 262 of the component materials?
I have an example where a production order was used to produce an item some time ago. I want to debundle the components so I can sell them separately and I was thinking about using a production order for the process. I know I could do some kind of inventory adjustment but I want to use the prod ord to collect costs (including perhaps some activity costs like labor, etc.)
    Has anyone done this before?
    Mark

    Hi,
Create an order via CO07, specify the settlement receiver as a G/L or a cost center (check with your FI people for this), then in the operations specify an operation as dismantle, give a work center where you intend to do it (ensure it has activity type & rates defined). In component view add the assembly with +ve qty & the components which you intend to dismantle from this assembly as -ve qty.
Now post GI for the main assembly & for the components. System will post a 261 mvt for the main assy, indicating this order has consumed the assy & for the components system will post a 531 mvt, which would result in inventory for these parts. Post confirmation for the dismantle operation. Now the costs will be settled onto the GL or cost center as specified in the settlement rule.
Do a test in sandbox along with FI-Co colleagues & if it meets your need, proceed to do the same in PRD.
    Good luck.

    Vivek

  • Negative Quantities of HU

    Hi,
While i am packing a material of quantity 26 through HU02, a +26 and -26 is created in the  HU location and Non HU location respectively . In IM stock also the same is reflecting. Though the stock of the material is not there , this is happening.
    1. Stock of the material is not needed for packing?
    2. How these + and -ve stocks will be nullified.
    Please advise on this
    thanks and regards,
    Milton Isaac

Can you check is there delivery creted against that material ?If yes then either you need to do PGR or PGI on the type of the delivery.
Once creted the handling unit check the handling unit status is it un assigned status or assigned to any delivery. You can see HU history also.

  • Urgent 922 negative stocks and no open posting changes (LU04)

    Hello Guys,
I will really appreciate your help to this problem:
I have in LX02 the figure shown below for a specific material over all storage types. I dont have open posting changes in LU04. All what I physically have are 9 pieces in 915 as shown below.
How can I eliminate the stocks in 922 ?
My ideas until now and the problems I encountered:
    a) Idea: An inventory on 922. Problem: Iventory can be made, but it does not work for negative quantities.
    b) Idea: To move the positive 14 unrestricted from 922 to 915 with a stock transfer. Then in MM to change the stock category. Problem: The availability in MM will still be 9 and i will not able to make a MM-Movement 322-Type to move 14 from 915->922 with stock category "Q"
    c) Idea: Open Posting Changes in LU04. Problem: No posting changes open.
    d) Idea: Reversal of documents. Problem: We already issued customer deliveries and invoiced them.
The differences internally in 922 and 999 are 0, but the stock category is another
-->Can I somehow make a stock transfer internally in WM from one stock category to another (from unrestricted to Quality)? Or which other method do you suggest.

    Hi,
If you do not have any LU04 pending, you just need to use 2 times LT01 :
    first LT01 movement 999
    from : 999 Q 14 pieces
    to 922 Q - 14 pieces.
    Second LT01 movement 999
    From 922 14 pieces
    to 999 - 14 pieces
Then you will have only your 9 pieces in stock.

  • Need negative quantity non-inventory items on Credit Memo

    Version: (2007A)
Description of requirements: (Please provide a detailed description)
Our customer issues many invoices with a negative quantity line item for a miscellaneous non-inventory item. These non-inventory items are used to reduce the amount of the invoice regarding miscellaneous credits to their customers.  These are not discounts.
When the customer wants to credit these invoices, they canu2019t create a Credit Memo based on the invoice because SAP wonu2019t allow this if there are line items with negative amounts.
When they create a credit memo not based on an invoice, they arenu2019t allowed to enter a negative quantity for a line item as they are for an Invoice. They are forced to create a credit memo not based on an invoice the inventory item line items and an invoice or Journal Entry for the negative quantity line item to debit back the miscellaneous line amount.
    As an example:
Invoice line item one for inventory item: qty one, price 100,line total $100.00
Invoice line item two non-inventory item misc credit: quanity -1, price 10, total -$10.00
    Invoice Total $90.00
In Order to provide the correct credit amount, they have to create a Credit Memo not based on an invoice for line item one, qty one, price 100 u2013 value -100 and an invoice for the non-inventory item for qty one, price 10 -  value 10.00.
This creates a net credit for the customer of 90.00
This looks ridiculous to their customers when they see these transactions on their statements, creates extra work for the users and there is no link between the three documents.
By using inventory items for these miscellaneous credits, they can assign a sales revenue of their choice. They have multiple sales accounts and the GL posting is determined by the item group for the item. By assigning the desired item group to these non-inventory items, they can control which sales account is updated on their marketing documents when using these non-inventory items.
If they were to use the Freight items, they would need a separate freight setup entry for combination of item group and miscellaneous credit. Because they have so many Item Groups and types of credits, they would need a great many separate Freight Charges to choose from.
All of the above pertains to all of our customers. This customer has a custom add-on and their marketing documents are all created from custom objects.  They hit a button on the custom sales contract screen and an invoice is created.  When they hit another button on the screen, the selected invoice is credited. They have legally binding contracts for fixed quantities to be shipped, so we decrease the quantity shipped when creating an invoice and decrease the quantity shipped when a credit memo is created. The contract is fulfilled when the exact quantity contracted for has been shipped. Because the credit memo fails, we canu2019t update the custom objectu2019s remaining to be shipped, rendering it inaccurate from that time forward. (reducing the quantity shipped is part of the Credit Memo creation process).Creating Credit Memos and Invoices from the interface fixes the inventory count, customer balance, etc., but we have no way of fixing the sales contractu2019s quantity shipped & remaining to be shipped or linking the contracts to the documents created from the interface.
Business needs: (Please describe the impact on your business, if the functionality is not realized)
Examples: (Please describe a typical example, how the functionality should work.)
Credit Memos should allow negative quantities and line total amounts for non-inventory items, the same way that A/R Invoices do, so that credit memos can be based on invoices that have negative quantity non-inventory line items.
Current Workaround: (Please describe the workarounds you are using at the moment)
    Please see above
Proposed solution: (Please suggest how the new functionality should work)
Credit Memos should allow negative quantities and line total amounts for non-inventory items, the same way that A/R Invoices do.

    Hi Sean......
System is behaving properly as per its logic. Infact it does same in all the previous or upcoming versions.
If you have Item Type GRPO for Non Inventory Item it does not create any accounting but you can see the same during AP invoice.
GRPO for such type is only optional. For further clarification you can discuss this with your CA what he suggests. But i suggest you to raise AP invoice also for getting Account effect. Just see doing this in test DB you get your answer......

  • Negative stock allowed for a material with SDG assigned

    Hi All ,
I have raw material for which stock determination group assigned in MRP 2 view for issuing the componets .
I also marked allow negative stock in plant/storage location view .
Normally if the stock determination group is not assigned and if the negative stock allowed in plant/storagelocation is checked then during backflush though the required qunatity is not availabe then the stock will be marked in negative quantities , so that when GR happens for this material will overcome the negative quantity .
But since stock determination group is assigned , though the  negative stock allowed is checked the backlogs are created in MF47 rather making the stock of the material negative [ I assume this behaviour is because the SDG is determined dynamically ]
Is there any setting required to not sit these backlogs in MF47 when the negative stock allowed in plant/storagelocation is checked
    Thanks
    Sireesha

    Hello Sireesha,
Even I have similar issue, can you please let me know if this is fixed for and how did it work.

  • How to enable Negative Quantity in PSM/ASM of SAP PLM7

    Hi Guru,
I got a request from my users that they want to use Negative Quantity in in PSM/ASM of SAP PLM7.
As we known, Negative Quantity is available in ERP via CS01/CS02, but i cannot maintain negative quantity in PSM or ASM. Does any one know how to maintain it? Thanks in advance.
    BR
    Simon

    Satish,
You have to set up the component as secondary output. When creating a BOM/Recipe in PLM, you can designate a component as a "secondary output." This type of component will allow negative quantities to be entered, just like you do in CS01 and CS02 for "by-products."

  • Invoice with positive and negative rows.

    Hi all,
I have a customer with mobile sales and when he invoices a customer he needs to add positive rows with the products drops off and negative rows with product he collects, so the invoice total amount is the sum all the positive rows minus the sum of all the negative rows.
So you can have an idea of what I'm talking about, imagine the milkman drops off six bottles of milk and collects two empty ones. If the empty bottles have a price, he needs to invoice six full bottles minus two empty ones.
The problem: If I create a AR invoice with negative quantities I cannot copy it to an AR Credit Note. And, if I need to cancel that AR invoice, I cannot create an AR Credit Note with negative quantities...
The customer creates about a hundred of this documents a day, so I need a direct solution.
    Does anyone have an idea?
    Thanks in advanced.

  • How to move from one report (with positive Qty) to another (Negative Qty) ?

    Hi all,
There is Quantity column in BEx query and I have a Calculated Key Figure on Quantity to have only POSITIVE values (> 0). Now the requirement is to have another report which are excluded from first (main) query because of NEGATIVE values (< 0). Basically, the first report will have only POSITIVE Quantities and we should drive from there to another report which will have NEGATIVE Quantities.
Could you please tell the steps to accomplish it with RRI, PLEASE ?
    Thanks,
    Venkat.

    Hello;
Why don't you create a calculated KF just for the quantity.
Then, on the first report you make a condition (quantity > 0). for that CKF.
In the second report you do the same but for negative.
See this link for more details:
