Bitfenix Alchemy Cable extension 2-pin chassis X 2 for  I/O (PWR/RST/HDD) Blue Sleeved
Case Bitfenix Neos Purple-White
Front Cover (Pla Plate 1mm)
The plan is to make clean build purple and white with a little  blue accent from alchemy sleeved and tubing.
I don’t want to make so much change to neos, I already love the neo classic design of this case.
I make front cover with bitfenix Colossus  line style on it, use pla plate with thickness 1mm.
Here we go:
Neos Front
PSU & ODD Cover
First I made it with cardboard, for precision and fittingly.
Then go to Scroll saw table, I use 3mm acrylic
Bending Acrylic for ODD
almost 35 little pieces were cut for this krait logo..
All those 35 pieces glue it together to be come one
Result

GPU Cover
Make a little snow at GPU cover.. well it’s still January and Happy New year guys..
Spectre Fan Mod
Paint it with purple and white
Cable Management
Neos have a tight cable management, but that’s no problem..I use a couple Zip ties to handle it.
Led Light
Setting up the light, Using LED Alchemy white.
It’s not final yet.. I forget to order Alchemy Cable extension VGA 6 pin..heheheh
But so far I’m very satisfied to see this
Will be update with final picture soon after Cable extension for VGA  arrive.

  • HP Prme: Which functions only work in CAS mode???

I enter a simple substituion into Home mode:
subst(Y^5,Y=2)    and I get  " Error: Bad Arrgument Type"
I enter the same formula into the CAS mode after changing the letters to lower case and I get the result:  32
How does the user know which functions work in which modes:  Home or CAS  ?????
also  is there a way to perform multitude substitutions at the same time  ie   subst(y^5+x^7,y=2,x=3)  ????
    thanks

The iMac G5 was one that had many power supply and bad capacitor issues.  This sounds like one of them.
Come on.  The poster says it works in safe mode, so how can it be a power supply problem?
Seems like a video chip problem to me. The solder worked loose over time in some machines. Re-solder for the brave.
You will have to translate this to 10.5.
You may have a problem with the video chip.
    Here is how to tell...
Shutdown your machine.  Hold down the shift key.  Poweron.  Bootup will be longer.
Wait awhile while you harddrive is being checked.
An article on how to boot into safe mode.
        http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1455
    Runs OK in safe mode...
Running in Safe mode leaves out some video drivers.  Which results in your machine not using advanced video hardware. As luck would have it, you can run the safe mode video drivers in normal mode.
    Here is how:

Look through the above thread.  See the second page.  You don't have to read through the first page.  Just go to the part where I try a solution that works.
Summary of G5 problems. Includes instructions on a hardware fix for the brave at heart:

  • Altoid Case Mod For Nomad II

Hey this is pretty cool someone wrote up a full set of instructions to create a n altoids case mod for your player.
http://kwarnerdesign.com/kevin/NomadIIAltoidmodframe.htmMessage Edited by iddx on 03-23-2005 05:25 AMMessage Edited by iddx on 03-23-2005 05:26 AM

    Dear Matthew,
Thanks a lot for your reply!
First I want to note that I came across the - rename to .m2v - trick, and that seems to work really fine - no need to convert whatsoever, have you tried that and if so - what are the drawbacks?
The trick : rename 'untitled-1.MOD' to 'untitled-1.m2v' so premiere can import it without trouble.
Further I downloaded Super v2009.build.36 (june 10, 2009) from this site:
    http://www.erightsoft.com/
But it somehow doesn't not recognize .MOD files.
Do I need to have some other software installed or am I missing something else?
I will try to use the 'rename the .MOD file to m2v'-method, before that I did this:
Convert the .MOD's with mpeg-streamclip (.com)
For the AC3 audio handling in premiere CS3 I use this trick:
'Why is there no audio in my imported MPEG file?
If your MPEG file contains AC3 (Dolby Digital) audio then Mitch411 said:
If you've got Encore CS3 installed , copy the file ad2ac3dec.dll from the
Encore CS3 directory and paste it into the PPro CS3 root directory. Once
you restart CS3, you'll be able to import the file with the audio. This
means if you've already have a project with the files imported, you'll
need to remove the files from the project and then re-import them, or just
start over with a new project.'
    kind regards,
    Tobias Beuving

  • HP PRIME : convert() bug in CAS mode (firmware 8151)

Hello,A bug appears when trying to convert units in CAS mode.how to reproduce: go to CAS mode, type: CONVERT(0_K,1_°C)and you will get this result : −272.15_(譕菬⓬璡扱㌁觅ﱅ譖౵譗ࡽ亊訂Ⓛ㰏甃Ⴡʹヲ謆၏ҡ抹謁袔ॄ) as you see somthing goes wrong in unit name... for info : It's the most recent firware (from july 2015) 8151.

Please let us know some examples of expressions that you tried, what you expected, and what happened instead.  ALSO please let us know what modes your Prime is in (e.g. RPN Entry mode, or CAS view), because Prime behaves very differently depending on the Home Settings and CAS Settings.  Which app is the currently active app (shown in the display's title bar) can also alter Prime's behavior.  When you let us know these things, we'll be able to discern why you are getting syntax errors.
If I were a betting man, I'd wager a nickel that the problem is due to your Prime being in RPN mode.  If so, you have to use RPN syntax, not algebraic syntax.  Example: 5_ft, Enter, 1_in, Enter, CONVERT --> 60_in (just like on your HP 48).  Do I win a nickel?
Disclaimer: I do not work for HP. I'm just another happy HP calculator user.

  • K8N Neo - High Performance Mode Killed System?

I'm slightly frazzled at the moment, so forgive me for any mistakes. I installed the K8N Neo Platinum on Tuesday night, with a brand new Athlon64 3200+ with 1mb L2.
Video Card: VisionTek Xtasy Geforce4 Ti4400
    Memory: 2x Kingston 512MB 400MHz DDR PC3200
    Power Supply: Antec True550
    +3.3V @ 32A
    +5V @ 40A
    +12V @ 24A
I installed the various MSI applications tonight, including CoreCenter. Attempted to adjust the FSB with it, but with just a 2.5% increase, the temperature of the CPU was getting higher than I cared to see during stressful applications. So I set it back to default, and later on read up on the BIOS settings in the manual... I read the description of "High Performance Mode", and figured I would try setting it to Optimized.
Seemed like a good idea, let the board I had read was great for overclocking do it's stuff automatically. So after I set it to optimized (Didn't change anything else), I hit F10 and let it reboot. It never did. When it rebooted, the power stayed on, Hard Drive light showed it was being accessed... Only problem was absolutely no video was being sent. Monitor was as black as black could be.
Turned the power off, tried again and again. Same deal. Power comes on, HD shows it is being accessed constantly for about 20 seconds, then just stops. But no video is being output, which leads me to think the system is just dead in the water for the most part.
During this state, the LED's on the back are as follows: Top two are red, bottom two are green. I saw in another thread someone was going on about there being an explanation for them, but I don't have it in my manual nor could I find an explanation of them.
At this point I'm just shaking my head, because there is absolutely nothing to be done as far as I can tell. If anyone has any ideas as to a possible solution or at the very least, whether the MB just went nuts or something worse happened, I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm at a loss and afraid to even think what might be the problem.

While the "high performance settings" can surely make the pc unstable, it should hardly ccause hardware-damage.
Turn the computer off (to be safe, remove the power-cord)
Clear cmos with the jumper (instructions can be found in your manual)
    Wait 30 seconds
Put the jumper back to its original position.
Power on the system, and see if it works ?
    EDIT: Info from manual:
    Quote
    Clear CMOS Jumper: JBAT1
There is a CMOS RAM on board that has a power supply from external battery
to keep the system configuration data. With the CMOS RAM, the system can automatically
boot OS every time it is turned on. If you want to clear the system configuration,
use the JBAT1 (Clear CMOS Jumper ) to clear data. Follow the instructions below to
    clear the data:
    MSI Reminds You...
You can clear CMOS by shorting 2-3 pin while the system is off.
Then return to 1-2 pin position. Avoid clearing the CMOS while the
system is on; it will damage the mainboard.

  • Case mod question

    Hello everyone.
Currently I have a k8t motherboard with this case http://www.modthebox.com/review292_1.shtml and I am wondering if it is safe to redo the two front led lights behind the eyes and connect them to the HD LED on the moatherboard ?
The reason I ask is I and new to modding do not want to burn out my motherboard if it will not work though I think it would since the led lights use only 2 wires to light up currently.

most of the time you can find that info in your Manual for MB, but if not most take 5V reverse and type 3.3v  and for the leds in the case, if the manufacturer has no info, then don't worry about it.  they all follow similar guidelines to do all this.  I use to do similar mods and never burned anything.  Of course if you really want to be sure about the volts you can spend 70-100+ on equipments that will tell you that and more.  But no need.   just give it a shot, you will be fine.

  • K8N Neo Platinum and modded X800 Pro

    Hello everyone,
I am running the Board for a while now and it was rockstable.
    System is:

    old card: Ati 9800 XT
new card: Saphire X800 Pro modded to XT.
After installing the Card properly, i installed the catalyst 4.8 Drivers and direct9c
After testing a little Bit benchmarking stresstesting, i rebootet and the system and it hangs at the windows xp bootscreen. i reloaded a restore point and tried to reinstall the drivers. no luck.
then i reinstalled windows xp on moday with the same drivers and everything seemed to work fine. windows booted normally, the card worked fine.
yesterday after work. same thing. lookup at the bootscreen of windows.
i uninstalled the catalyst drivers in windows safe mode then rebooted.
normally when i install the card it installs the x800pro and x800 secondary and then finds the rage theater chip and installs it too.
after freezing and getting into windows i can install the card drivers, but the theater chip isnt recognized anymore.
the card is working fine on 3d. i played yesteray for 4 hours at a time and no problems. but after rebooting i cant get into windows.
so i contacted the seller of the card and he told me i am the thired customer who hast issues with the card on this board.
same problem. random freezes on boot sequence, but others seem to have problems in 3d which i dont. i only cant boot.
    any suggestions?

Load BIOS default to try again.
Maybe you can update the BIOS to 1.42 to try again.

  • Back to the Mod - 2015 Cooler Master Case Mod World Series

The future is a mystery, the past is history.
We do not have the ability to turn the clock,
We must make the most, with every shot.
    Changing lives makes an impression,
For the only way to truly surpass the boundary,
Is to make sure that you leave something behind.
    Modder - marcam923 - Marc Molella
Above you will find the preview sketch for my plan to accomplish this mod.

We start with the untouched case. I have had this case for a few years, the windowed side panel was an option from Cooler Master. We won't be needing that!  :D
    Now we start the breakdown.
Now we have a bare case, and I am starting to layout what will be the new back panel. It will have dimension to allow for cable management, and mounting of all the internal components.
Next post will have some cutting into the frame of the case, as well as a couple videos! Enjoy!

    Hi to everyone guys,
my name is Mauro and I'm an italian modder.
I'm here for show you my mod Aragon, realized in collaboration with:
    Many thanks to my sponsors
    some pictures for them

    New arrivals...
    Ok...sheets metal.
Let's start with the conveyors for the rad.
It is of two shells that will be welded.

  • Present your case mods!

Well, seems like there's no thread like this yet, so here we go:
Present any modifications you made to your machines, be it eye candy, extra features...
Here's mine. Base is a Casetek 1018 (same as used by Thermaltake in their Xaser III). Resprayed, big plexi window + small window on top, punched sheet covers for the drive racks and an engraving illuminated by two leds.
    Clicky pictures:
I also uncoupled the HD rack, and I made up a quite effective way of doing that using rubber bedded screws to attach it to the wall of the case:
And here's my "archified" lap top again :
So, are there any other case modders out there in the arch community? I sure hope so ^^

I really can't do that great of one, it's in a box to be sold ATM, but I can give the basics.
    1) Get a box, any box that you want, as long as it is the right size for what you want (ATX, mATX microATX, etc). Three sides is the best.
    2) Get some alimimum. Performance-pcs.com sells them in 500x500mm sheets. For the bottom sheet, cut it out to the size of the bottom that you want. In mine, I only kept it to the straight sides, didn't bother to fill the whole bottom.
    3) Place the motherboard where it is going to go. This part takes planning as you have to see where it will fit in respect to the back plate, might be best to make that first (step 4). Where the motherboard holes are, mark and drill them out. Make sure you leave room for feet. Make four L brackets and mount them to the two sides of the case and the bottom of the tray.
    4) Back plate, it's really easy. Now that you have the bottom, measure how wide you need the back to be and add ~2". Then bend the sides each in one inch, that way you can use those sides to mount the back. You might want to make a flap on the top too.
    4) Back plate cuts. The motherboard cut is easy, take the backplate and trace around it and cut. Place in the plate and your motherboard IO should fit through it just fine. Do the same of any expansion slots. Now find where you want the power supply to go. Make sure it will fit, then with careful measurement, cut out the main hole and four mounting holes. But her in.
    5) Top. I used mesh for two reasons. One, vents. Two, I could mount some SSD hanging from it. Now that everything is test fited, cut the top. It should be a simple cut for the exact shape of the top. You'll need four L brackets again. Mount it just like you did the bottom.
    6) Everything fit? Cut a hole for the power switch, paint, do touch up, and get her going.
Remember that building your own is 90% planing, 10% work. I spent probably two days over sheets of diagrams and measurements before I made a single cut.
EDIT - I'm putting things to consider.
    1) Heat. Will you need a fan in the back?
    2) Size. Will it all fit? Remember that when the PSU is mounted and plugged in, so is the back plate meaning you only have access through the top.
    3) Tools. You'll need a dremel at best. A jigsaw it good too. A file is a must.
The back plate and motherboard positioning take the longest, don't rush them.
