Nested Abap Type 1 structure

Could anybody provide an example of existing nested Abap Type 1 structure?
Update: The structure should already exists and used as a parameter type for the remotely enabled function module. I could only access the function, not to write abap code.

Sam,
I am not sure of what TYPE 1 is, but here is a example of nested structures.
Begin of itab1 occurs 0,
field1 type c
field2 type c
end of itab1.
Begine of itab2 occurs 0
field3 type c
table1 type itab1.
end of itab2.
ITAB2 is a nested internal table structure.

Ravi

  • Simple Transformation to deserialize an XML file into ABAP data structures?

    I'm attempting to write my first simple transformation to deserialize
    an XML file into ABAP data structures and I have a few questions.
    My simple transformation contains code like the following
    <tt:transform xmlns:tt="http://www.sap.com/transformation-templates"
                  xmlns:pp="http://www.sap.com/abapxml/types/defined" >
    <tt:type name="REPORT" line-type="?">
      <tt:node name="COMPANY_ID" type="C" length="10" />
      <tt:node name="JOB_ID" type="C" length="20" />
      <tt:node name="TYPE_CSV" type="C" length="1" />
      <tt:node name="TYPE_XLS" type="C" length="1" />
      <tt:node name="TYPE_PDF" type="C" length="1" />
      <tt:node name="IS_NEW" type="C" length="1" />
    </tt:type>
    <tt:root name="ROOT2" type="pp:REPORT" />
        <QueryResponse>
        <tt:loop ref="ROOT2" name="line">
          <QueryResponseRow>
            <CompanyID>
              <tt:value ref="$line.COMPANY_ID" />
            </CompanyID>
            <JobID>
              <tt:value ref="$line.JOB_ID" />
            </JobID>
            <ExportTypes>
              <tt:loop>
                <ExportType>
                   I don't know what to do here (see item 3, below)
                </ExportType>
              </tt:loop>
            </ExportTypes>
            <IsNew>
              <tt:value ref="$line.IS_NEW"

            </IsNew>
          </QueryResponseRow>
          </tt:loop>
        </QueryResponse>
        </tt:loop>
    1. In a DTD, an element can be designated as occurring zero or one
    time, zero or more times, or one or more times. How do I write the
    simple transformation to accommodate these possibilities?
    2. In trying to accommodate the "zero or more times" case, I am trying
    to use the <tt:loop> instruction. It occurs several layers deep in the
    XML hierarchy, but at the top level of the ABAP table. The internal
    table has a structure defined in the ABAP program, not in the data
    dictionary. In the simple transformation, I used <tt:type> and
    <tt:node> to define the structure of the internal table and then
    tried to use <tt:loop ref="ROOT2" name="line"> around the subtree that
    can occur zero or more times. But every variation I try seems to get
    different errors. Can anyone supply a working example of this?
    3. Among the fields in the internal table, I've defined three
    one-character fields named TYPE_CSV, TYPE_XLS, and TYPE_PDF. In the
    XML file, I expect zero to three elements of the form
    <ExportType exporttype='csv' />
    <ExportType exporttype='xls' />
    <ExportType exporttype='pdf' />
    I want to set field TYPE_CSV = 'X' if I find an ExportType element
    with its exporttype attribute set to 'csv'. I want to set field
    TYPE_XLS = 'X' if I find an ExportType element with its exporttype
    attribute set to 'xls'. I want to set field TYPE_PDF = 'X' if I find
    an ExportType element with its exporttype attribute set to 'pdf'. How
    can I do that?
    4. For an element that has a value like
    <ErrorCode>123</ErrorCode>
    in the simple transformation, the sequence
    <ErrorCode>  <tt:value ref="ROOT1.CODE" />  </ErrorCode>
    seems to work just fine.
    I have other situations where the XML reads
    <IsNew value='true' />
    I wanted to write
    <IsNew>
            <tt:value ref="$line.IS_NEW"
            map="val(' ') = xml('false'), val('X') = xml('true')" />
           </IsNew>
    but I'm afraid that the <tt:value> fails to deal with the fact that in
    the XML file the value is being passed as the value of an attribute
    (named "value"), rather than the value of the element itself. How do
    you handle this?

    Try this code below:
    data  l_xml_table2  type table of xml_line with header line.
    W_filename - This is a Path.
      if w_filename(02) = '
        open dataset w_filename for output in binary mode.
        if sy-subrc = 0.
          l_xml_table2[] = l_xml_table[].
          loop at l_xml_table2.
            transfer l_xml_table2 to w_filename.
          endloop.
        endif.
        close dataset w_filename.
      else.
        call method cl_gui_frontend_services=>gui_download
          exporting
            bin_filesize = l_xml_size
            filename     = w_filename
            filetype     = 'BIN'
          changing
            data_tab     = l_xml_table
          exceptions
            others       = 24.
        if sy-subrc <> 0.
          message id sy-msgid type sy-msgty number sy-msgno
                     with sy-msgv1 sy-msgv2 sy-msgv3 sy-msgv4.
        endif.

  • Web Services and Nested Complex Types

    I am having troubles trying to get coldfusion to use a web
    service function.
    I know that the web service works as I am sending another
    function in a simple variable and receiving a simple variable. I
    know the function exists as I when I dump the object the function
    is there and I have been told by who supplies it that it works in
    other languages.
    The problem I am having is that when I call the function I
    get the following error: Web service operation "[function name]"
    with parameters [parameters] could not be found. I am lead to
    believe that it may have to do with the fact that one of the
    parameters is a complex type with nested complex types, because of
    the amount of trouble it took to get nested complex types to
    (apparently) work.
    Has anyone had this problem before and/or know how to fix
    it?

    You can invoke methods which take complextypes as parameters.
    The idea is to create first a structure which represents the
    complextype. For example; crit = structNew(), crit.paramname1 =
    value1, ctir.paramname2 = value2. After this, you just pass the
    structure
    crit as a parameter value, for example with
    <cfinvokeargument>.
    Always check the wsdl and the possible documentation
    carefully. You'll get always an error if the types of the
    parameters passed didn't match exactly to what was expected.
    Handling complextype responses is also possible, but not very
    elegant with ColdFusion.
    For example, you have <cfinvoke
    returnvariable="wsResult"... >, and you get a java object as a
    response which you can really do nothing about with CF functions,
    you must use Java Reflection API to extract the values.
    <cfset oFields =
    wsresult.getClass().getDeclaredFields()>
    <cfoutput>
    <cfloop from="1" to="#arraylen(oFields)#" index="fi">
    <cfset field = oFields[fi].getName()>
    <cfif isdefined("wsresult." & field) AND field NEQ
    "typedesc">
    #field# = #wsResult[field]#<br>
    </cfif>
    </cfloop>
    </cfoutput>
    The above is just an example, and It might work with only
    some types of complextype responses. But it's a start. :)
    http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg00553.html
    is also another example about handling complextype responses. It
    plays "safer", not relying that CF can extract values without
    "getters" automatically, and is more of a complete solution.

  • How do I manage photos using a folder - subfolder type structure?

    How do I manage photos using a folder - subfolder type structure as I have done previously within Windows? For example, my photos were stored with a folder for each year and sub-folders for each month whicheach  held the photos. Can I do this in iPhoto?

    For example, my photos were stored with a folder for each year and sub-folders for each month whicheach  held the photos
    Why bother?
    Check out the search box at the bottom of the Window. (Click on the Magnifying glass, it opens it) Now click on the mgnifying glass in the search box) and select 'Date'. Now you can find all the photos from any day, month or year. If you want to find the photos from a range - say a paticular week - then you can do that with a Smart Album.
    Organising photos by date means you have to remember the date the shot was taken, and after a while, and after a few thousand shots, this gets harder and harder to do, so you spend more and more time rooting through folders.
    iPhoto offers a range of organising tools and each offers more possibilites to quickly find the shot you're looking for. For instance:
    I use Events simply as big buckets of Photos: Spring 08, July - Nov 06 are typical Events in my Library. I use keywords and Smart Albums extensively. I title the pics broadly.
    I keyword on a
    Who
    What
    Where basis (The When is in the photos's Exif metadata). I also rate the pics on a 1 - 5 star basis.
    Using this system I can find pretty much find any pic in my 45k library in a couple of seconds.
    So, for example, I have a batch of pics titled 'Seattle 08' and a  typical keywording might include: John, Anne, Landscape, mountain, trees, snow. With a rating included it's so very easy to find the best pics we took at Mount Rainier.
    File -> New Smart Album
    set it to 'All"
    title contains Seattle
    keyword is mountain
    keyword is snow
    rating is 5 stars
    Or, want a chronological album of John from birth to today?
    New Smart Album
    Keyword is John
    Set the View options to Sort By Date Ascending
    Want only the best pics?
    add Rating is greater than 4 stars
    The best thing about this system is that it's dynamic. If I add 50 more pics of John  to the Library tomorrow, as I keyword and rate them they are added to the Smart Album.
    In the end, organisation is about finding the pics. The point is to make locating that pic or batch of pics findable fast. This system works for me.

    Regards
    Louis

    Louis,
    If I'm not mistaken, record types are not allowed. However, you can use object types instead. However, they must be database types. In other words, something like:
    create or replace type ROW_ABC as object (
    col1 varchar2(16),
    col2 varchar2(16),
    col3 varchar2(16 )
    create or replace type MATRIX_ABC as table of ROW_ABC
    /Then you can use the "ARRAY" and "STRUCT" (SQL) types in your java code. If I remember correctly, I recently answered a similar question either in this forum, or at JavaRanch -- but I'm too lazy to look for it now. Do a search for the terms "ARRAY" and "STRUCT".
    For your information, there are also code samples of how to do this on the OTN Web site.
    Good Luck,
    Avi.

  • How to create an internal table with a types structure?

    Hi experts,
    I've 3 internal tables with the same structure, I think I could put a type structure and put that type inside the body of the internal data, is this possible? If true, how can I put that?
    Example:
    TYPES: Begin of type_s,
                   pernr like pa0001-pernr,
                 end of type_s.
    Data: begin of itab_1 occurs 0,
    ¿¿¿??? reference to type_s
             end of itab_1.
    Thanks a lot,

    Hi,
    Use like this..
    DATA: Begin of type_s,
    pernr like pa0001-pernr,
    end of type_s.
    DATA: BEGIN OF ITAB_1 OCCURS 0.
    INCLUDE STRUCTURE type_s.
    DATA: END OF ITAB_1.
    Otherwise like this.
    types: Begin of type_s,
    pernr like pa0001-pernr,
    end of type_s.
    Data: itab_1 type standard table of type_s.
    Note: You have to create work area explicitly.
    Like this
    data wa like itab1.

  • How to use Types structure in smartform layout

    Hi Experts,
    i have a requirement in smartforms. i have a z-structure having some fields. those fields
    should be in the smartform output when we run the print program. This is working fine.
    But i need to add 2 more fields to the existing z-structure. For this, i created a types
    structure in the print program and added the 2 new fields and created internal tables from
    that structure.
    My question is how to pass this types strucure to the smartform layout. i tried to add the
    structure in the tables option of the form interface.
    I get the error "Form Interface - Only table types may be used as the reference type for a table parameter".
    i also tried to declare the types structure. Please advise.

    Hi,
    you create structure in se11 and select structure radio button.
    In the smart form give like as
    Form interface---->tables (tab)
    parameter name ---I_FINAL(inernal table)
    type assignment---LIKE
    Associated type---ZXXXXX (structure name)
    For declarations of workarea:
    Global definitons----->Global data
    Variable name----WA_FINAL
    Type assignment---TYPE
    Associated type---ZXXXXX
    you declared as of above
    I hope it will helpful you

  • What is the name of a nested parameterized type?

    The draft spec gives an example of a nested parameterized class Zipper<B> inside a parameterized class Seq<A>. In the sample code the nested type is refered to as Seq<String>.Zipper<Number>. Hence I concluded that the following should work either:
    package generics;
    public class RawTypes {
    private static class Outer<T> {
    public class NonstaticInner<T> {}
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    Outer[] x = new Outer<String>();
    Outer<String>.NonstaticInner<String> var = x.new NonstaticInner<String>();
    Instead the compiler complains:
    incompatible types
    found : generics.RawTypes.Outer.NonstaticInner<java.lang.String>
    required: generics.RawTypes.Outer<java.lang.String>.NonstaticInner<java.lang.String>
              Outer<String>.NonstaticInner<String> var = x.new NonstaticInner<String>();
    When I use the raw outer type the compiler is happy. Like in:
    Outer.NonstaticInner<String> var = x.new NonstaticInner<String>();
    But that is not what I want say.
    Why does this fail to compile? Because the outer class is a nested static class instead of a top-level class? That should not make a difference, I would think. What am I missing?
    Angelika

    I am quite surprised there is no reaction at your query.
    It made me so interested in the spec I downloaded it.
    At page 3 I read that no static meber could be parametrized.
    I think this makes the behaviour of the compiler correct.No, I don't think so. The spec says:
    "The scope of a type parameter is all of the declared class, except any static members or initializers, but including the type parameter section itself."
    The spec does not say that static members could not be parameterized. It just says that the type parameter of a generic class cannot be used in any static members of that generic class, be it a static method or a static initializer or the declaration of a static field or a nested static class.
    Stuff like this would be prohibited under the quoted wording:
    class X<T> {
    static T field;
    static T getField() { ... }
    static { T tmp; ... }
    static class Y { T t; }
    What I tried is not prohibited by anything in the spec, I believe. I simply defined a generic type (Outer) inside a nongeneric type (RawTypes):
    public class RawTypes {
    private static class Outer<T> {
    public class NonstaticInner<T> {}
    The weird thing is that the nested generic type RawTypes.Outer<T> behaves differently from a top-level generic type. Compare the above to the following:
    public class Outer<T> {
    public class NonstaticInner<T> {}
    According to the spec I would refer to the class nested into class Outer<T> as Outer<String>.NonstaticInner<Integer>, for instance. That's basically the example on page 4 of the spec, where they have a Seq<String>.Zipper<Number>.
    Why is the behavior entirely different when I want to refer to a class nested into RawTYpes.Outer<T>? Why can't I say RawTypes.Outer<String>.NonstaticInner<Integer>? Why do I have to name it RawTypes.Outer.NonstaticInner<Integer>? That does not make sense to me.
    A nested static type is like a top-level type, except that is has a name prefix. Why would that change with the addition of generics to the language?
    Outer.NonstaticInner<String> var = x.new
    NonstaticInner<String>();
    But that is not what I want say.What is it then that you want to say?
    Do you want to confine the valid values of var to outer classes parametrized with the
    String type? This will lead to problems (I think even with instances) as there is
    no specific type for a parametrized class.What error would you expect when a variable
    is passed having the correct "inner parameter type" but not the requested outer parameter type?I would expect the same error message that I would get when I assigned a Seq<String>.Zipper<Number> to a Seq<Integer>.Zipper<Number>. No?
    Maybe it's just a bug in the prototype compiler, but who can tell if the spec does not say much about nested types what their names would be.

  • Wsdl nested complex type

    I'm trying to create Web service that return a nested complex type.
    The exposed method return a Vector. Elements of vector are beans. A single bean has more attributes, one of them is a hashtable.
    Here my code:
    package pk;
    import java.util.Hashtable;
    public class myBean {
    private String the_string;
    private Hashtable hs;
    public myBean(){
    hs= new Hashtable();
    public void setThe_string(String p_){
    the_string= p_;
    public String getThe_string(){
    return opec;
    public void setHs(Hashtable _hs){
    hs= _hs;
    public Hashtable getHs(){
    return hs;
    The exposed method is :
    public Vector getInfo( Vector myBeanVector, String[] arrayValue)
    The input and output Vectot are myBean's type
    I get alqways this error with oc4j (Jdev 9.0.3):
    No Deserializer found to deserialize pk.myBean
    Any help would be very appreciated.
    thanks in advanced

  • Recommended steps to generate a web service using nested complex types

    Hello,
    I need to generate a web service that uses nested complex types with built in types on the bottom layer. I hve posted an attempt at a WSDL. Please give advice on if I am doing it correctly.
    I have the suspicion that I should nest the complex types into the final complex type VendorStockingInterface. Please confirm.

    I'd like the the consumer of the web service to send it a document with the fields formatted to the VendorInterface complextype which contains the other complextypes. In return the consumer will get another document with some acknowledgement messages.
    To make this happen I'd like to generate the web service, creating the complex type classes and XMLBeans. I'd like advice on the steps to take once I get a good WSDL.
    There is also the option to go from the other direction. Is it better to attempt to create a schema XSD document instead and use that to work towards the web service and WSDL? If so, could someone give an example of how to format an XSD using my example needs.

    I think I have got it all in place, though I have not tested it as of yet. For others who are looking at this, here is my XSD file from which all my complextypes were generated and lastly here is the actual web service file.

    Hi all,
    My sender and the receiver message types structures are same.do I need to mapping in this case.
    If it is not required .Let me know in detail,How to proceed.
    Thanks,
    Srinivasa

    Hi,
    If is just to pass the message (as the sender source is the same as the receiver source),
    first you should have the Message Interface of you message
    then you should configure the Receiver determination, as the sender interface use your message interface and in the interface determination you can use the same message interface (same name). You dont have to add any mapping, just let empty and save. Just use one message interface for sender a receive.
    Any questins let me know.
