Netting in IS oil Module
Hi,
I need to understand what is Financial Based netting and Movement based netting.
and also the pros and cons of each.
Regards
Raghavendra
Hi Raghavendra,
Netting usually is between two parties for the exchange of goods when ever there is sudden requirement at customer end based on the certain exchage agreement, free to be paid for the receipts, delivery, and for final payment.
For more details find the link below.

Get sql*net to use perl module (DBI and DBD::Oracle)
Hi,
I'm doing a perl script which tests oracle database availability
Now to install it on a Unix computer i need some Oracle files to use the DBI and DBD::Oracle module
I saw in differents forums that i need to install SQL*NET to have those files but i know few things about Oracle products and then i don't know which package i have to download to have it.
If someone have the answer please mail me !!([email protected])
Thanks a lot
Nicolas MinantOk, so i got it working as below. putting the details steps for someone to refer (or may myself in future if i forget)
- Install Perl DBI module
- install below 3 rpm for oracle instant client from (http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/topics/linuxx86-64soft-092277.html)
oracle-instantclient11.2-basic-11.2.0.3.0-1
oracle-instantclient11.2-devel-11.2.0.3.0-1
oracle-instantclient11.2-sqlplus-11.2.0.3.0-1
I am using 64 bit linux box, so choose your RPM accordingly.
- set below variables:
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib/oracle/11.2/client64/lib
ORACLE_HOME=/usr/lib/oracle/11.2/client64
also add ORACLE_HOME to your PATH variable
- download DBD::Oracle ver 1.44 from
- untar the module and run below commands in given sequence:
perl Makefile.PL
make
make install
DONE !!!
Issues I had faced were due to the wrong LD_LIBRARY_PATH. i had set it to "/usr/lib/oracle/11.2/client64" whereas the correct value is "/usr/lib/oracle/11.2/client64/lib"
certainly, this was a great learning for a newbie like me. i have spent 8 years as Linux sysadmin and have done a lot of perlscripting bt never had to deal with oracle stuff ever. hence this was a learning for me.
Thanks everyone for your responses. you guys pushed me to right direction. thanks for the Great HELP. -
IS-OIL - Invalid ROLLBACK WORK in an update function module
Hi,
I am getting this dump which points to CL_PO_HEADER_HANDLE_MM========CP.
In the system Update Records (SM13) there is an error for transaction O4NM for custom function ZOIJ_UPDATE_RELATED_DOCS.
I have no experience with OIL module so any advice on how to go about tracing the cause of this error would be appreciated.
Regards,
Warren.Hi Christian,
I am not sure how the update is being done. Am trying to hold of the documents that caused the error so that I can replicate it.
You are correct, the dump only occurs occassionally and not every time.
I have tried to find the sales doc number but unfortunately this is not in the dump.
I did a where used list on the function and found one where it is called in update task which I think is where it is falling over:
CODE:
in cases where the nomination update is called
from a CT contract, sales order etc
we dont want to update the related document
or it will cause locking issues and
circular reference
flag can be set in BAPI header
Further to this
there are cases where there are many nomination Idocs
entering the system,
the nomination update calls the
OIJU_RD_UPDATE_OBJ_ENTRIES function
the related document update calls the same function
this is normally not a problem as the V2 update will
not intefere with the normal V1 update
but in the case of multiple nomiantions, even when called
synchronously, the V2 update from the first related doc\
update is causing issues with the secon nomination V1 update
deadlocks ensue
therefore - setting the flag to '1' in the BAPI header will e
ensure the related document update is called in the same task
in cases = '1' the update is called from validation
routine in order for message handling

How to create CNiFieldPointNetwork module in Multithreaded apartment
same as above.. thank for any demo or application code..
Hi thatsalok,
What version of Measurement Studio and Visual Studio are you using? The
reason I ask is that is that the Measurement Studio FieldPoint API is now
obsolete. Check out the
FieldPoint
Measurement Studio 7.0 Visual C++ API Has Been Obsoleted and Can
I Use Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 and/or Visual C++ .NET with My FieldPoint
Modules? KnowledgeBases. These documents discuss some general points of
using FieldPoint with Visual C++.
Another method of communicating with FieldPoint devices is
through DataSocket API. Check out the
Introduction to Using
DataSocket Commands to Communicate with FieldPoint Ethernet Network Modules
and Using Advanced
DataSocket Commands with FieldPoint Ethernet Network Modules
tutorials.
The Developing an OPC
Client Application Using Visual Basic tutorial also is a good reference
(even though its Visual Basic).
If you are using Visual C++ 6.0 check out the <MeasurementStudio>\VC\Examples\DataSocket directory for examples.
If you are using Visual C++ check out the <MeasurementStudioVS(2003 or
2005)>\DotNET\Examples\DataSocket\
directory for examples.
Hope this helps!

[solved]libvirt /dev/net/tun error
I had set up virtualization several weeks ago using libvirt and virt-manager on my system, but when I tried to use it the other day the clients won't launch. I get this error:
Feb 4 22:39:51 it-alanmlap libvirtd[29964]: Unable to open /dev/net/tun, is tun module loaded?: No such device
/dev/net/tun exists, and has permissions 666.
I tried the procedure outlined here:
http://wiki.libvirt.org/page/Guest_won% … terface%29
But it did not have any effect on the problem.
My VM's are just using NAT networking, but the error persists no matter what I set the networking to.
I'm stumped, any suggestions?

How exactly did you check? Were

Hi,
I just do successful full system upgrade. Some of written by me apps needs perl-net-pcap.
Unfortunately no matter what - I'm not able successfully build perl-net-pcap package.
PKGBUILD is following:

make install DESTDIR="$pkgdir/"
# remove perllocal.pod and .packlist

You appear to lack the pcap(3) library.
If it is installed in a non-standard location, please try setting the LIBS
and INC values on the command line.
Or get the sources and install the pcap library from http://www.tcpdump.org/
If you install the pcap library using a system package, make sure to also
install the corresponding -devel package, which contains the C headers needed
to compile this module.
make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. Stop.

I make sure libpcap is installed.
Also header files are present in usr/include/pcap. I symlinked them also in /usr/local/include
By perl-net-pcap read me, in PKGBUILD I try to add
# install module in vendor directories.
PERL_MM_USE_DEFAULT=1 perl Makefile.PL INSTALLDIRS=vendor INC=-I/usr/include/pcap LIBS='-L/usr/lib/pcap -lpcap'
make
Unfortunately I still get the same error.
Has anybody Idea where issues is ?
Thx in advance

Career Prospect for SAP IS OIL
Hi Dear Community Members,
I need your valuable suggestions and insight before I move on to the Oil & Gas Industry.
I had a IT Degree and I am in the IT industry for 10 years. I am now planning to venture into the Oil & Gas Industry as this industry has an overall promising career & a job security. Therefore I had the initiative to take on the SAP IS OIL Module hoping to break into the O&G Industries, however I am unsure how SAP IS OIL has an overall impact to the Oil & Gas Sector, like :
What is the current market share for Oil Companies using SAP Solutions and SAP IS Module?
What are the career prospects for a SAP OIL Consultant? In terms of job stability and future career path
What are the markets in the US, UK and Europe for SAP IS OIL? As I am planning to migrate there.
I am looking forward to your kind advice and input. Thank you very much in advance.
Cheers,
GaryHi Gary,
Overall if you want to be in SAP IS-Oil, one or more of the following skill is required:
SAP PRA
SAP JVA
SAP PSA/PSE
SAP Controlling
SAP Finance
Second: Its always good if you have process experience in Oil & Gas - Upstream, Downstream or Midstream comanies. If you have not then its desirable that you have some process experience as you will feel the need of it when you are learing the above module. Without knowing the modules it is a challenge.
Third: Demand of IS- Oil is good and not bad however this is focussed in specific locations around the world like : US-Texas- Houston (Energy Hub), Canada, Middle east etc.
Fourth: Considering the fact that oil prices are down now, it will probably take 6 months to 1 year time for the boom to come. so probably this is not same time to venture immediately but learning this for near futute might prove beneficial.
Thanks & Regards
Subhasish -
ILearning 5.2.1 setup

There are quite many steps in the "Oracle iLearning Upgrade Guide - Release 5.2.1", but finally I get HTTP *500 internal server error* instead welcome page.
I set log level in ilearning.properties:
CURRENT_LOG_LEVEL=5 #Debug=5.
In application.log there is just:
ilearn: 10.1.3.5.0 Started
webs: 10.1.3.5.0 Started
ilearn: JspServlet: java.lang.SecurityException: Prohibited package name: java.lang
- when I try to open http://my-host/ilearn in a browser.
There are 1.4, 5, 6 JRE-s in my system... Could somebody tell me what can be wrong?

Iwlist scanning gives: Interface doesn't support sc [solved]
When I'm trying to scan for all available networks I get:
# iwlist eth1 scanning
eth1 Interface doesn't support scanning : Operation not supported
My wireless card works fine if I set every parameter manually. I'm currently using the orinoco drivers that came along with ArchLinux.
It seems like that the version of the orinoco drivers installed doesn't support the scan stuff. But building the new orinoco drivers failed with
/usr/local/download/orinoco/orinoco-0.15rc2/orinoco_pci.c: In function `orinoco_ pci_suspend':

So I did try the wlan-ng26 driver downloaded and installed with pacman.
I remove the orinoco modules with

But when I try to insert the prism2_pci module, it doesn't exist. Why?
[root@ArchThinkpad orjanp]# modprobe prism2_pci

I installed the 0.15RC1 version of the Orinoco drivers found here.
I rebooted but I still had the 0.13 version. I did a make and make install as the readme file said.
What do I have to do to update the driver?
do you use a PKGBUILD?
update the driver: if it was copied to the right place and the kernel knows about it (depmod -a) it should work
for a start, check under
ls -la /lib/modules/`uname -r`/kernel/drivers/net/wireless/
that your module is installed under the correct location (the orinoco files should be newer than the other ones)
if this is so, make sure you are depmod -a (as root) ... and if even this is ok, then either you are running the new modules or something strange happened -
Problem setting up ColdFusion on Windows 7 and IIS
Using Windows 7 version 6.1 Build 7601 Service Pack 1 on a Dell N5110 Laptop running an Intel Core i5-2430M CPU @ 2.4 GHz and 6 GB RAM, 64-bit OS.
Under Control Panel > Programs > Turn Windows Features On and Off > Internet Information Services I have turned on all the features and subfeatures EXCEPT for FTP Server. Internet Information Services Hostable Web Core is also turned ON though it's unclear whether it's necessary or not.
Installed ColdFusion version 10 after enabling IIS as described above.
Used instructions at http://learn.iis.net/page.aspx/266/troubleshooting-failed-requests-using-tracing-in-iis/ to set up and test tracing, working around all the ambiguities and errors there until tracing actually worked as described for a 404.2 error on a .asp file. THEN reset the trace to work on all 500 errors for ISAPI Extension and WWW Server.
Ran the Web Server Configuration Tool for ColdFusion as described at http://help.adobe.com/en_US/ColdFusion/10.0/Installing/WSc3ff6d0ea77859461172e0811cdec18a1 5-7ffb.html to configure IIS for ColdFusion in Windows. Then these parts of the configuration were possible to verify at C:\ColdFusion10\config\wsconfig :
Verify your IIS configuration
Verify that the following folder was created: cf_root/config/wsconfig/number.
To set the <samp class="codeph">connectionpooltimeout</samp> and <samp class="codeph">reuseconnectioncount</samp> click on Advanced Setting tab. The option to enable buffering and verbose debugging is available on the same page.
Configuring IIS:
Creates a folder <samp class="codeph">1</samp> in <samp class="codeph">cfroot\config\wsconfig</samp>, that contains all connector-related files.
Creates a virtual directory <samp class="codeph">Jakarta</samp> in <samp class="codeph">cfroot\config\wsconfig</samp> (in IIS).
Adds an entry, <samp class="codeph">tomcat</samp>, under the<samp class="codeph"> ISAPI FILTERS</samp>. This points to <samp class="codeph">cfroot\config\wsconfig\1\isapi_redirect.dll</samp>.
Some of the parts of the verification process were skipped, for the reasons described :
Adds an entry, <samp class="codeph">tomcat</samp>, to <samp class="codeph">cfroot\config\wsconfig\1\isapi_redirect.dll</samp> with permission <samp class="codeph">allowed</samp> under ISAPI and CGI Restrictions. It is applicable for global sites in IIS manager.
No kind of 'entry' is possible for the specified .dll at that location under its Properties, nor can permissions be allowed under Properties for anything remotely resembling 'ISAPI and CGI Restrictions'. There is nothing resembling "Global Sites" in IIS manager either where this information might be found.
Adds the following <samp class="codeph">isapi</samp> handlers: <samp class="codeph">cfcHandler</samp>, <samp class="codeph">cfmHandler</samp>, <samp class="codeph">cfmlHandler</samp>, <samp class="codeph">cfrHandler</samp>, and <samp class="codeph">cfswfHandler</samp>.
The logical place for these "handlers" would be in IIS but there is no description provided for where they might be found and searching around provides no clues so this is impossible to verify as well.
For debugging issues, set the log level to <samp class="codeph">debug</samp>, in the <samp class="codeph">isapi_redirect.properties</samp> file present in the <samp class="codeph">cfroot\config\wsconfig\1\ </samp>directory.
This was done and these are the contents of that file:

log_level= debug
worker_file= C:\ColdFusion10\config\wsconfig\1\workers.properties
worker_mount_file= C:\ColdFusion10\config\wsconfig\1\uriworkermap.properties
iis_buffer_enable= true
To disable webserver buffer, change the <samp class="codeph">is_buffer_enable</samp> to <samp class="codeph">false</samp> in the <samp class="codeph">cfroot\config\wsconfig\1\isapi_redirect.properties</samp> file. Disable webserver buffer if you want <samp class="codeph">cfflush</samp> to work over an IIS connector. If your application does not use <samp class="codeph">cfflush</samp>, set it to <samp class="codeph">true</samp> for increase in the performance.
This was left on 'true' as shown in the file contents above.

How To Get A Custom WebDAV To Run in Windows Server 2008 R2 with IIS 7.0
I am trying to create a WebDAV application using the below link as my starting point.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/webdav/
I got it working just fine in IIS6 but can't seem to get it to work in IIS7. Does anybody know if there are any unique configuration settings that need to be made to make it work in IIS7?
The problem appears to be with the authentication. When I attempt to connect via Network Folder using http I get a 401 challenge dialog and it won't accept any credentials.
The website is running under a yy service account and has no problem accessing the database, but once it attempts to access the file using http it throws the 401 error.
Below is the web.config that is attaching the http handler to process all the verbs
<system.webServer>
<modules>
<add name="FileWebDAVModule" type="Sphorium.WebDAV.Examples.FileServer.FileWebDAVModule, Sphorium.WebDAV.Examples.FileServer" />
</modules>
<handlers>
<clear/>
<add name=".NET Runtime" path="*" verb="*" modules="IsapiModule" scriptProcessor="C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\aspnet_isapi.dll"
resourceType="Unspecified" requireAccess="None" preCondition="classicMode,runtimeVersionv4.0,bitness64" />
</handlers>

What is the best license for us ?
Post Author: Sebastien.fichot
CA Forum: Upgrading and Licensing
Hello,
We are a team of .Net developers (French-speaking), we work on DotNetNuke (www.dotnetnuke.com).We manufactured at the beginning of this year a module called CrystalReportsViewer which makes it possible to display and pass parameters to a Report (choosen from a list of reports which has been uploaded on the web server by the customer). We do not use the component. Net Report Designer.This module was developed (under Visual Studio 2003 CR-IX using the free license key which is coming with MVS) for one of our customers who wished to post the reports of his company, we thus composed the merge-modules by using its CR-IX server license.Today we wish to sell this module on our website, and prepare for this purpose a new compilation of the merge-modules under Visual Studio 2005.The problem of license arises again, since one needs on the one hand a license to install u201CXI R2 Server Packageu201D (for MVS2005 compatibility), and a license to build the single merge-module which will be distributed to the customers (is a free license key for build and distribute working merge-modules ?).
We would like to know the possibilities that you propose to carry out this type of scenario.
We are convinced that this module promotes the use of CrystalReport without replacing him since we do not integrate and will never integrate the component designer.
Thank you to contact us on this subject, while answering on this forum or by email with the address [email protected]
Cordially,
FICHOT SebastienHy ahai,
implement RE-FX without additional license u2013 this is not possible (in germany)
about LUM (land use management) u2013 sorry but my information is u2013 is only available an supported for germanyu2026
RE/FX is the module available think since 4.7.
There is also RE u2013 module called RE-Classic u2013 the older module. My information is when you will buy a new real estate module you can only start with the new module re/FX which make sence. The development on the classic module is dead... and re/fx have a few more function u2013 [see a product overview|http://www.sap.com/solutions/business-suite/erp/realestate/featuresfunctions/index.epx]. and check out the pdf Commercial Real Estate Strategies...
- RE with EC&O specific industry - donu2019t know.
your question about are there more/other re - modules..
Remember RE/FX in germany is called the octopus
Why ? Real Estate uses functions of the modules FI/CO, FI/AA, PM, PS u2026
First of all its important to know what are your main processes you want to show in SAP RE/FX
Your have written u2013
buying landsu2026
outsourcing the construction functionu2026
lease out the property.
How many properties have you got or will be build?
Ask your sap partners if RE/FX is necessay for your business.
if you have only a few properties - check your benefit and the costs
as we say in germany - dont shoot with cannons on pigeons...
Regards
bertram
