How To Get A Custom WebDAV To Run in Windows Server 2008 R2 with IIS 7.0

I am trying to create a WebDAV application using the below link as my starting point.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/webdav/
I got it working just fine in IIS6 but can't seem to get it to work in IIS7.  Does anybody know if there are any unique configuration settings that need to be made to make it work in IIS7?
The problem appears to be with the authentication.  When I attempt to connect via Network Folder using http I get a 401 challenge dialog and it won't accept any credentials.
The website is running under a yy service account and has no problem accessing the database, but once it attempts to access the file using http it throws the 401 error.
Below is the web.config that is attaching the http handler to process all the verbs
    <system.webServer>
        <modules>
            <add name="FileWebDAVModule" type="Sphorium.WebDAV.Examples.FileServer.FileWebDAVModule, Sphorium.WebDAV.Examples.FileServer" />

  • How 2 get dynamic images where APPS running on WINDOWS SERVER?

    Hi,
I'm working on check printing reports with XMLP. In the output I need to display the digital signature (dynamically) depending on the check amount.
For this, I have followed below steps...
    Method 1:
    =========
    1. Placed the digital signature images (i.e., signature1.jpg, signature2.jpg, signature3.jpg etc.) in OA_MEDIA path i.e., "/apps/ued02/applmgr/common/java/oracle/apps/media" path.
    2. In the RTF Template, inserted a dummy image.
    3. In the "web" tab of the dummy image, entered the location & name of the image as "url:{concat('%[OA_MEDIA]%/','CF_IMAGE')}".
where CF_IMAGE is the xml element/tag which holds the digital signature image name derived from the report dynamically depending on the check amount.
This worked perfectly where Oracle Apps running on unix server.
But, when I tried this where Oracle Apps running on WINDOWS SERVER, the digital signature is NOT getting displayed.
Can someone help me how can I display digital signatures dynamically in XMLP reports where Oracle Apps running on WINDOWS SERVER?

  • How to restrict users working on Windows 7 clients from accessing Windows Explorer and other systems in the network through Group Policy with a domain controller running on Windows Server 2008 r2

    Dear All,
We are having an infrastructure setup of around 500 client computers managed through group policy.
Recently the domain controllers have been migrated from Windows Server 2003 to Server 2008 R2.
Since this account requires extremely strict environment, we need to figure the solution for restricting the users from access anything locally.
It would be great if you can assist me with the following query.
How to restrict users logged on Windows 7 clients from accessing Windows Explorer and browsing other systems in the network through Group Policy with a domain controller running on Windows Server 2008 r2 ?
Can we disable Network Tab on the left hand pane ?
explorer.exe is blocked already, but users are able to enter the Windows Explorer by clicking on the name which is visible on the Start Menu.

You cannot block explorer.exe when you do not replace the shell - the
desktop you see effectively IS explorer.exe...
Your requirement sounds like you need a custom shell:

  • Does Safari run in Windows Server 2008 R2 (Terminal Services)?

does Safari run in Windows Server 2008 R2 (Terminal Services)?

    Hi Jess,
Here are two things I suggest you check:
The Monitoring interval is set to 900 minutes, would the profile size get reduced after 15 hours and run
    gpupdate/force?
Since the Sessenv.dll version is higher than the ones described in KB 2575946, the issue is supposed to be fixed. I suggest you run System File Checker to scan all protected system files.
In addition, you can also collect Gpsvc.log to determine if policies are applied successfully.

    Hi,
Check if SQL Server service is running fine. I doubt you may have changed the user account password used for SQL Server service. After restarting the machine, you also need to update the user account of SQL Server service in Configuration
Manager. Re-type the user account name and password under Log on tab and see how it helps.
    Thanks.

  • How uninstall WSUS server role from Windows Server 2008 R2 with database hosted on remote SQL server?

    Hello,
I'm looking to uninstall the WSUS server role 3.0 from Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1. The thing is the database is hosted on a remote MS SQL server. I want to remove the database as well. I would like help for figuring out what I need to do to completely remove
    WSUS and its database.
Any kind of help is appreciated! Thanks

    Hi,
WSUS offers limited support for running database software on a computer that is separate from the computer where the rest of WSUS is installed. This section offers step-by-step
instructions for how to install WSUS in this configuration.
If you meet the uninstall issue with the normal uninstall, please post the detail information for us but if you just want to manage the WSUS related SQL data, you can refer
the following KB then delete corresponding database.
In the general procedure, you will create the related WSUS database as below::
Run WSUS Setup from the command line, using the SQLINSTANCE_NAME=servername\instancename command-line option, where servername is the name of the remote computer, and instancename
is the name of the SQL Server instance that you will use for WSUS.

  • PowerShell Script running Excel won't run on Windows Server 2008 R2

I have a script that creates a report of a single example of each warning or error in the Windows Event log, for each server in a list of servers, with the number of times that error has occurred in the last week on each server. It creates this report in
Excel. I have this script running automated through Task Scheduler for one client on Windows 7 and it's working perfectly. I have another client that I am attempting to run this script automated on a server running Windows Server 2008 R2. I can manually run
the script and everything works, but if I try to schedule the script everything works except for the Excel PowerShell commands. I've have tried:
Created the Desktop folders for config\systemprofile in System32 and in SysWOW64.
Configured permissions in DCOM for Microsoft Excel Application.
    Configured folder permissions for config\systemprofile.
    Verified PowerShell is working.
Unchecked the option in the task to only run while logged on.
Does anyone have any idea why this is happening and how I can fix it? Thanks!
    Sincerely,
    Christopher Beard

You might have to launch the application once as the system account so that it can set up the Excel environment, I've had the same problem when  trying to update Excel files from an admin Powershell console using my admin account.  Use psexec with
a -s option to run it as system account locally while logged on to the target server:
    psexec -s "c:\program files (x86)\microsoft office\office14\excel.exe"
Then you'll most likely be prompted to input initials - which is what I suspect is preventing your code from running properly.
There may be some other more elegant way to handle this, but you'd be better off asking that question in one of the forums devoted to Office products.
I hope this post has helped!

  • Cisco Security Manager Client running on Windows Server 2008 R2 (64 bit) in Terminal Service

    Hello CSM Gurus,
Would there be any performance issues in CSM client software design if multiple instances of CSM client by multiple users ran concurrently on a Windows Server 2008 R2(64 bits) while CSM users accessing the server via Remote Desktop Services ?
In my environment, we have a CSM server at our major data center while security administrators from all over the world need to use this CSM server.
In order to overcome the latency of the CSM client due to the WAN network, the plan is to use a Windows Server 2008 R2(64bits) as a terminal server and all security administrators would need to access this terminal server via RDP and would launch CSM client on their desktop.  The terminal server locates on the same LAN as the CSM server itself in order to minimize network latency in communications between the CSM clients running on the terminal server and the CSM server.  there would be multiple instances of CSM clients running concurrently on the Windows Server 2008 R2, the terminal server.

  • Custom AddOn installation error on Windows Server 2008 64 bits

    Hi All,
We have developed an AddOn that our client is currently testing on several Windows XP machines.
My client requested to install it also on a Windows Serer 2008 64bits machine, so we have compiled it (both the AddOn and the Setup Installer) to x64 bits with Visual Studio 2005.
However when we try to install it on the server and inside the SBO, we get the following error:
An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format (Exception HRESULT 0x8007000B)
The problem is that both EXE files (addon and installer) are in fact in x64 bit format because we get the standard error when we run with an 32bit machine (xxxx is not a valid Win32 application).
Does anybody know how to solve this problem?

  • 32-bit executable does not run in Windows Server 2008

    Hi,
Sorry if this question has been asked already. I am having trouble finding a solution in the NI knowledge base and here in the forums.
I just created a simple UI standalone application in Labwindows/CVI with UI. It runs perfectly in XP when it was developed. When I ported this over to the Windows Server 2000 target and tried to run it, it is stuck in a Windows console and will not spawn main(). I tried both rebuilding it on the 64-bit machine as well as just running the exe as is, yielding the same results. I also tried running corflags against the exe on both the 32-bit dev machine and the 64-bit target but both output says "The specified file does no thave a valid managed header", which seems to be true for all CVI exe files.
Through some troubleshooting, I was able to narrow it down to a call to a function in a dll (that apparently has already been working all along). If I comment out the two calls, main() would start and life is good again. I tried visually looking through the code in the project producing the dll and things are fine.
Can someone provide me with some insight into how to proceed on this? Was it a bad build? Did I not configure the build environment correctly (I already tried changing the stack/heap usage)? Could this be caused by a bug in the software that the compiler didn't catch? What typically causes a freeze in the console that spawns main()?
    Please help! Thanks in advance!
EDIT: BTW, I'm running LabWindows/CVI 2009 on both machines.

One other possibility is having sufficient rights, especially if you are invoking it via some other app, rather than manually as a logged in user. If you are not logged in and instead invoke it via a web site action, I believe you will have problems reading the registry, accessing a desktop, writing to disk, etc.
Sorry I can't be more definitive, but perhaps it will help.
Please post your conclusion, if you find it.

  • Get 0x80780124 error when trying to restore Windows Server 2008 R2

We are trying to restore a HP Proliant ML350 G6 Windows 8 R2 Server but every time we do we get a message that states "The system image restore failed error details: Windows Backup failed to extend or mount the file system on the recovered volume.
(0x80780124)" We were trying the restore from the CD. Any ideas what would be causing the issues?

    Hi,
Please try to run chkdsk on the backup vhd to see if you can restore the server. In additional, you can also refer to the thread below to troubleshoot the issue:

  • Getting error while installing MSSQL 2005 SP2 Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 1

    Hi,
We are getting error while we are installing MSSQL 2005 SP2.
It gives me the following error
    No Qualifying Product
    ===================
This machine does not have a product that matches this installation package.
I am pretty new to MSQL. Any help to solve this is much more appreciated.

    Hello,
It seems you downloaded Service Pack 2 for SQL Server 2005 alone, that download does not install a SQL Server 2005 instance.
You might have to download and install SQL Server 2005 and then proceed to apply service packs related to that version of SQL Server.
    Hope this helps.
