NetWeaver  Backend System Configuration

Dear All,
we have develoed a custom iViews in EP5 .. and we have used the HTMLB,JSPDynPage and JCO for Connecting SAP and calling for ABAP RFC enabled function modules and BAPIS.
in EP5 we have used System.xml and JCO Destination.xml configration for connecting back end system..
and we have configured the system alias name in propert file(default.properties) and passed this to the connection class for establishing a connection SAP
now we want to move all our iViews to EP6 Netweaver Component and i heared that there are no System.xml and JCODestination.xml in EP6 Netweaver can any one suggest me that how to configure these backend system to run successfully my all iviews

    Well There are  no mauanl edits of the Systems.XMl and the JcoDestinations.xml files , but there are visual tools to available for you to configure these systems in the same way. http://help.sap.com

    Where can I set up the backend system configuration for a Service Group in the Services Registry?
    Or does it have to be done in the NWA? If so, where in the NWA?

  • Catalog entry in Backend systems

    Hi All,
    Please clarify my assumption. If we just have CCM-punchouts only then defining the catalog entry in the backend(Define Backend system)  is not required, but if internal catalogs are used then a Catalog entry is required in the backend system configuration. Please validate my assumption.

    Rao,
      Ok. Validate Function may be the problem here.
      First, check if the Vendor supports Validate function. This you can find out by tracing HTTP data sent to and from your browser to vendor.
      Second, you can test unchecking the Validate checkbox. This should allow you to add the items from template to cart and open up the PRICE field for editing. This is not advisable if the vendor implements Validate function as you will not have the latest price.

  • Configurations needed for distributing central contract to backend system

    Dear Gurus,
    I have configured central contract and getting approved in the local SRM system. Now, I need to distribute the central contract to the backend system. I have already get the PI interfaces configured using the integration scenario Central contract management.
    Now, I assign the backend POrg as well as the target values for the backend contract and try to release the central contract. The central contract is getting released. However, no contract is getting created in the backend system.
    I donot see any XML messages generated in the SRM system (SXMB_MONI).
    Do I need to maintain some settings in the SRM system to enable the distribution of contract to the backend system?

    Hi,
    When one creates Local Contract; there is one option named 'Distribute' on contract screen.On drop down; one mention back end system. After clicking on it; contract has been created in ECC.
    If contract is not getting generated in back end; refer SAP Note: 609222.
    Check whether you find any error/information message in Txn BBP_CTR_MON.
    SRM Settings:
    1. Implement BBP_DETERMINE_LOGSYS: Determines whether contract is to be created in SRM or ECC.
    2. Assign transaction type to attribute CT_PROC_TY in Org Structure.
    3. Check whether have maintained message type BLAREL, COND_A, BLAORD.
    4. Assign role SAP_BBP_STAL_START_PURCHASER to process contracts.

  • Failed to connect to backend system

    Hello,
    I have installed visual composer and experience some errors.
    My system fails to connect to the backend system in VC. I am able to create SAP transaction iviews for the system, see the alias, and user mapping is configured.
    When I perform the System Connection test for my system which based on the load balancing template. All the test fail except the ITS test.
    - SAP Web AS - SAP Web Application Server 
    - ITS Connection Tests the connection to an SAP  
    - Connection Test for Connectors Tests 
    - Connection Test Through DQE
    Must all these test pass, or is it enough with only a subset of these tests. Does the alias have to be the same as the logical system.

    It is a genuin problem. Just tell your Portal Administrator to give the userid (which you are using to log in to the portal from VC) the full authority for the alias you want to access from VC, as it is the portal administrator who has the rights to give access to various portal users. In the portal, the administrator can give a user the access to an alias by selecting that alias and change the required property.
    Try the following flow to get the required document:-
    help.sap.com->SAP Netweaver->SAP Netweaver 2004->people integration->portal->Administration Guide->System Administration->Permission,Role/User........

  • WebDynpro - iview - different backend systems ?!?

    Hi all, confusion again ...
    I have the following situation.
    I developed a simple Web Dynpro application calling a bapi and deployed it to my Portal (host netweaver). During design time/rfc-model creation i used 2 JCO Connections: wd_modeldata_dest and wd_rfc_metadata_dest, both pointing to a development R/3 4.6c backend system (host CKE).
    Everything works fine, i can test the Application in the Web Dynpro Content-Administrator.
    Then i create a Web-Dynpro iview including this Application and give it the System 'CKT', that is our Test-R/3. No problem during creation.
    When i test that iview it still goes to the 'CKE' and not to the 'CKT' to call the bapi and i found no way to change that. ( Nevertheless the iview asks for a CKT-User/Pwd before running !)
    It can't be possible, that an application is bound to one backend system during design time, so it must be my mistake. Lateron we also have to use this iview for the R/3 production system.
    How can i solve this ? Thank you

    You are maintaning JCo destinations of dynpro application in "Web Dynpro Content-Administrator". What do mean by "..and give it the System 'CKT', that is our Test-R/3". Where did you specify "CKT"?
    It is possible to pass JCo destination through URL parameter (sap.wdarfc.useSys). So, you need create set of appropriate JCo destinations and specify parameter in dynpro iView configuration which would name of JCo destinations as URL parameter.

  • Error while trying to open an added backend system in portal

    Hi All,
    I need one help.
    I have added our Backend SAP SRM system in the Enterprise portal and it worked good.
    But now if I try to open the added SRM system in the below path
    System Administration à System Configuration à System Landscape -> portal contents -> system backends -> MY SRM(added system)
    I am facing the error page cannot be displayed error as below

    Are you using any webdispatcher or some proxy? Is there any URL filter configured in between?

  • Adding New SAP System in System Configuration

    i want to add a new system in Portal
    i follow the path system administration -- system configuration -- portal content -- <my folder> -- < add system template >
    i can successfully do this
    in the objects i have maintained
    Connector
    where i have given system details like IP Address,Logical name, Client Sys Nos,remote Host Type,SID
    i have also maintained
    User Management
    where i have given logon Method <UIDPW>,User Mapping Type as <admin,user>
    i have created a system Alias also
    now when i do the Connection Test
    i m getting the following error

    Test Connection with Connector
    Test Details:
    The test consists of the following steps:
    1. Retrieve the default alias of the system
    2. Check the connection to the backend application using the connector defined in this system object
    Results
    Retrieval of default alias successful
    Connection failed. Make sure user mapping is set correctly and all connection properties 
    how can i rectify this error and if this is not the right forum in which forum i need to post this message please suggest.......

    which System Template did you use?
    Did you maintain the Usermapping in the identityManagement for the User that is currently logged on?
    Did you set 'Authentication Ticket Type' to 'select'?

  • Automatic Replication of Vendors from SAP R/3 Backend System to SRM System

    Hi All,
    I am searching for any existing standard configuration in SRM V 4.0 System for replicating Vendors of selected Purchasing Organizations from SAP R/3 Backend System to SRM System.
    I have checked in the SPRO  settings of SRM System and found/could make out from the documentation avalable in help itself, that there is a standard configuration by which you can automatically replicate the Vendors created in SAP R/3 by activating the following in SPRO: By putting a tick mark against the Check Box existing against "Create New Vendors also"  under Vendor Synchronization with Make Global Settings I hope.
    If the above statement is correct, then I hope we have to schedule a job ,since the above configuration is based on a job based execution which should run at least once a day.
    In that case,which would be the relevant job which has to be created WITH A VARIANT in order to filter the Purchasing Organizations desired for.
    Please help me out since we have to implement this asap.And if the above solution is not at all feasible,then please do reply at the earliest.

  • Understanding and using Logical Components for Managed System configuration

    I am embarking on a fresh installation of SolMan 7 EhP1 SPS25 and after a few bugs along the way, I am finally nearing the end of including the first Managed System.  Somewhat related to {forum:id=10293771] I am hoping I can get some advice, but specifically with regards to Logical Components.
    General question - I have a slide from SAP that shows a picture from Product->System->Instance->Logical System (client)->Logical Component.  I am confused because it shows that Client 100 of a given ABAP system could be assigned to Logical Component A, whereas Client 200 of the same system could be assigned to Logical Component B.  This seems wrong to me?
    I am at the last step of the managed systems configuration wizard : "create logical components" and only want to ensure that I set things up to hopefully ensure that later usages (Maintenance Optimizer, etc) will handle things correctly!!!
    - Our SAP landscape is not very complex
    1. only ERP and EP (Dev/Test/Prod). 
    2. We are utilizing HR Self Service (XSS).
    3. The ERP ABAP systems are on Netweaver 7.01. 
    4. EhP4 has been installed, however we only activated the HCM business functions.  Therefore SAP_HR is on 604 whereas SAP_APPL is on 600.  I think this might be driving some of the confusion in SMSY
    For the DEV ABAP system I am trying to configure:
    1. The system is showing up in two products : "SAP ERP" and "SAP ERP Enhancement Package" with the header data for both showing "EHP4 FOR SAP ERP 6.0 / NW7.01" and "SAP ERP 6.0"
    2. Under "SAP ERP" the "product instance selection" shows only "SAP NW - Adobe Docu. Service" and "SAP ECC Server" as relevant
    3. Under ""SAP ERP Enhancement Package" the "product instance selection" shows only "Human Capital Mgmt" as relevant by default.  I manually flagged the development portal system as "relevant" for "SAP XSS (Self Services)"
    4. The RCA DBA Cockpit system is complaining "No data available for extractor activation. Please check product mapping and Software Components in SMSY"
    5. In the Managed System wizard, there is no logical component for any of the "EHP4 FOR SAP ERP 6.0 / NW7.01" selections
    From what I can tell, I think this is correct:
    1. Create a Z_EHP4 logical component and assign the DEV/QAS/PRD systems to them
    2. Also assign the DEV/QAS/PRD to the existing SAP logical component "SAP ERP ECC SERVER"???
    3. For the Solutions, my plan is to create
    a. Non-Production ERP : with the dev/test erp/ep systems, but test system as the leading system
    b. Production ERP with the prod erp/ep systems only

    Client 100 could be assigned to any number of logical components, client 200 could be assigned to those same ones or none of them. A logical component is just a grouping of systems used to accomplish some task in SolMan.
    For example with ChaRM you could have 2 logical components.
    ZCHARM_DEV development (100) -> QA (200) -> prod (300)
    ZCHARM_SEC security (900) -> QA (200) -> prod(300)
    One is used to show the path for moving development changes to prod, the other for security changes. 200 belongs to both, but 100 only to one.
    Set them up in whatever way meets you needs. It looks like for you, you could just use the default one and assign your clients to the various system roles. Not all functionality in SolMan uses the logical components though.

  • JDBC Adapter - DELETE operation not working in receiver backend system

    In my scenario ,I want  to delete entire records of the table from one backend system.
    I have created the inbound message and after mapping it is as below:

  • Not able to do user Mapping with the backend System

    Hello all,
    I am trying to Map a user to a windows based KM System but getting an error like
    "There is a configuration issue which leads to problems when accessing user mapping data for the selected backend system 'KM_Test_System'. Usually, the reason is user mapping being configured for strong encryption, but the necessary additional files being missing. Check the security log file for further information and hints on how to solve the problem."
    Can somebody tell me what could be the possible reason for this and how to handle this. I dont have access to the Portal server right now , so not able to see the security log.

  • Triggering file sender process from backend system

    Hi,
    We have implemented a file transfer using SAP PI to move a file from one of our business partner's FTP server to our SAP ECC backend system.
    The integration scenario is file sender (using the SFTP protocol) to proxy receiver with an asynchronous service interface.
    The file contains payment information which we wish to pull into our SAP ECC system once daily.
    The scenario is currently working using the Runtime Workbench Availability Time Planning option which is set to activate the file sender communication channel accordingly.
    To aid testing and to permit adhoc processing of the interface (let's say if there are additional payment runs required after the scheduled run) we'd like to be able to trigger the interface at the user side from the SAP ECC system.
    As they don't have access to SAP PI the most appropriate solution would seem to be an ABAP program in SAP ECC that calls an outbound proxy that could link to the file sender mentioned above.
    What options are there for creating this integration - can we implement BPM or is there an alternative?
    As I've no experience of this type of scenario any blogs or example configuration would be useful.

    The users will need the two roles mentioned there. You can just create 2 links (one for start, one for stop) and add as favorites in the user's browser. Or if you have portal you could encapsulate this so the links are transparent to the user (also, the roles would be added just to the technical user, not the end user, and the user mapping would be handled in portal layer).
