Netweaver Developer Subscription digital license not recognized

Hello,
I obtained from SMP and installed a permanent license for my Netweaver SR3 system. It shows up in the "New Licenses" table of the SLICENSE screen as "valid" and with an expiration date of next September. Yet the system is not recognizing it and will not fully start up. Only the SAP* user can log on. I have tried deleting it and requesting another one from SMP but it made no difference. The command line utility "saplicense" also can not find the new license.The license check was working fine earlier under the temporary license which showed up in SLICENSE under "Old Licenses". Do I need to do something different to tell the system to look for a new digital license instead? Is there a way to get a trace showing exactly why the license check is failing? Any help would be appreciated,

I have not seen this before. Maybe MaxDB license related defect

If no one suggest anything better, open OSS message with SAP.

Has anybody here bought a "SAP NetWeaver, Development Subscription" that is being sold by SAP for $2300 in U.S? If so, can you tell me if this is a full-version IDES package with all SAP tables, function modules, etc?
I have the free-downloaded "Sneak Preview Netweaver 2004s - ABAP" but it does not have any SAP tables other than the Flight Demo tables, so it limits your ability to build an application and integrate it with Core-SAP.
If this is not the right forum, I appreciate if somebody can point me to one.

1) Yes, this program is comparable what MSDN does. But no, we do not have an ERP system included, though we are working on offering that in some form (probably hosted). But you do get the whole NW stack (please look at https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/subscriptions/development to find out more)
2) Why only US and Germany? We are working to expand it to other countries, but please do not underestimate the effort to do so. Beside legal issues there are also many technical (pricing in multiple currencies and tax rates), as well as import taxes (e.g. India has a 50% tax on imports for software, if the software is shipped from our shipping center in Germany).
So those are the things that we are struggling with and that's why we haven't yet an offer for countries other than US and Germany. But we are working on it.

Problems to order Netweaver Developer Subscription !

I try to order this Netweaver Developer subscription and receive all the time the error messagem that my billing address does not match with the information of the credit card company. But this is not true. I already checked with the institution and I have even a letter from them with the address I allways enter. Unfortunately there is no other way to order and there is no information for a contact to discuss and solve this issue This is very frustrating for me because I am a consultant and would need this tool urgently for my personal training. Does somebody has an idea who I could contact or whatelse I can do to order the subscription?

[solved] Digital Camera not recognized in device-manager

My digital camera "Canon Powershot SX120 is" is not recognized by the devicemanager. I have read Digital Cameras.

The "camera"-Group isn't needed anymore and this group doesn't exist on my system.
The Powershot SX 120 has a MTP/PTP connection mode (as the manual says). But:

There is no udev-rule for this camera. If i create one while copying a rule from a similar camera from /etc/udev/rules.d/69-libmtp.rules, and store it into /etc/udev/rules.d/69-canon.rules, the device-manager shows up. My udev-rule:

Don't know what to do ... is a udev-rule necessary to bring up the message from device-manger? Or is the Camera not recognized as a mtp-device (the Camera has no such settings)? How could i figure it out?
With Digikam i could import Fotos, but i would do so with gwenview. I've tried to check it out with gwenview_importer:

Installation NetWeaver Developer subscription

Hi all,
I have bought the NetWeaver Developer package. If I understand the installation procedure right, the first step is to install a Solution Manager, as this is necessary for subsequent installtions and updates of the NetWeaver components.
The installation master, which is part of the software package, does not provide the installation of a solution manager. Am I wrong? Is the installation for the Solution Manager not neccassary? If not, how can I obtain a SOLMAN-installation key for the installation of e.g. the WebAS? And how can I get actual support packages?
Any help is appreciated

P.S: When I install a SOLMAN in order to install and update NW components: Do I have to install both parts of SOLMAN, ABAP and Java?

I'm in a very similar situation, I'd also like to buy a Netweaver Dev Pack.
They say in Dev Pack's FAQ that you should contact your local sales organzation to obtain one, so I did about a month ago and I even got a reply from a sales guy that he contacted the appropriate person, but this person haven't contacted me since, so i don't know what to think. Whenever I ask the sales guy why the other guy haven't contacted me yet he tells me he asked him again, I should be contacted any time now, but still nothng.
This product was on sale originally in the USA and Germany, maybe you should contact their sales organization for info.

Activation based license not recognized by Virtual Machine (Vivado 2014.4)

I am using an VirtualBox to host a Ubuntu 64-bit Linux machine. And I have a Vivado node-locked license. In the first time, when I tried to generate license and used it with the machine, everything went well. But then I returned the license back to Xilinx, so that I can generate the license again for any other machine.
Then, the time comes to me that I need to use my Linux VM again. After generating the "Xilinx_license.xml" file via the Xilinx licensing website, the VLM refuses the license with the message:
Then I tried using command prompt to process the license, but I got the foolowing output:

So I am now stuck in a state that I have a license generated, but I cannot use it, and I also cannot return it back to Xilinx. I need some help from Xilixn technical support.
A list of my questions:
- what did I do wrong so that such an error occurs? ( I was able to use my VM and Vivado without any problem for the first time)
- how to make VLM recognize this license again?
- is there anyway to get myself out of the stuck-with-the-license state?

The Virtual Machine has never been removed or changed.
I merely returned the Xilinx license that was once assigned to this Virtual Machine some days ago, and today I tried to generate a license again for the same Virtual Machine.
Somehow the VLM does not recognize the license.xml at all, and I am now stuck with this license that can neither be recognized nor be returned.
Is it possible to un-do the current generated license and allow the Xilinx licensing site to generate a new license again?

VMWare Edition Netweaver 70 java & abap license not valid

Hi all,
i downloaded and started everything, server is up. After requesting new license for N4S i get a file but i can't install it with transaction SLICENSE (New License mode), it's still saying license wrong.
The Hardware key is J1226376836. What is the diffrence when VMWare ask me if the VM if moved or copied ? Does this change the Hardware key ?

Maintenance License not recognized by SPAM/SAINT

Brand new installation. Generated keys. Imported using SLICENSE. I show a valid Maintenance License but when going into SPAM/SAINT I get an error saying it is not valid.
I go to SDCCN and try to create a "Maintenace Package" task and get "No action possible" message.
The hardware keys match.
SAP Note 1280664 says to make sure that SM_<SID>CLNT<CLIENT>_BACK is available and working. This RFC is not in the system at all.
GoTo > Settings > Task-specific brings up nothing at all.
Does this connection have to be set up manually? or am I missing a major step somewhere?

If this has been done, please follow the below steps.
Please review the note Number 763561
& follow the below steps:
5. Q: When trying to create a task in SDCCN an error message appears:
    ' No action possible '. Why can the task not be created?
    A: SDCCN has not yet been initialised correctly, and so the customizing for the tasks has not been filled yet.
    SDCCN can be initialised locally by following these steps:
o Ensure that the task processor job is deactivated, via SDCCN -> Goto -> Settings -> Task processor
o Then initialize the tool via SDCCN ->Utilities -> Activate.
o If the initialize was succesful you should get the following messages:
Local initialization of new Service Data Control Center
   Activation successful
   Destination to SAP created
   AUTO_SESSION_MANAGER descheduled
   Settings filled
   Service Data Control Manager tasks created
   Task processor scheduled
   Jobname                        /BDL/TASK_PROCESSOR
Please try to fix the problem by deactivating the task processor (deleting any still open jobs called /BDL/TASK_PROCESSOR) and then reactivating SDCCN via Utilities -> Activate. If that doesn't help, please open the system and supply user & password so that I may look at the problem in the systems.
If none of these fit you, please ensure that you have a maintenance certificate which should be installed via transaction slicense. Has this already been done? If not, please log a message for SAP on component SV-SMG-LIC and request for the maintenance certificate.

RDS Cal Licenses not recognized

Available and Issued should add up to 10, but is instead showing 0 available, 0 issued, and using “Built-in-overused” instead of the legitimate CAL.
This causes an error in the licensing diagnose:

Dharmesh, this is a single machine for a Proof Of Concept application, therefore the licensing server and RD session host are on the same machine. Though it is part of the domain, the Group Policy for RD Licensing is in
the default “not defined” state. This should not be an issue, as quoted from your link (emphasis added):
“If you disable or do not configure the License server security group policy setting, the Terminal Server Computers group is not deleted or changed and
the license server issues an RDS CAL (if an appropriate RDS CAL is available)
to any RD Session Host server that requests one.”
With no changes to GPO defaults, the licensing server should issue CALs to itself without issue. In fact, CAL’s are being issued, they’re just being issued from the built-in overuse account instead of from the purchased
license.
TP, this is 2012 R2. licmgr.exe displays the following:

Sticking Points in front of buying a SAP NW Development Subscription

Hello experts,
I am just before the decision to buy my own SAP NetWeaver Development Subscription.
So a few days ago, I could get for a good price following hard- and software:
HP Proliant ML110 G5 Storage Server Europa with 8GB Memory 2x 160GB SATA with OS Microsoft Storage Server 2003 Release 2, Workgroup x64 Edition.
Now I have the problem to secure my machine against viruses etc.
From McAfee Channel Customer Care (EMEA) - asking them wether this OS is supported by their software - i got the following link:

where I could not find my OS. The other possibility is - so their recommendation - to get a trial version of Total Protection Service. Before I will do so, here is my question to the SDN Community:
Is there anybody who is experienced with this OS and Total Protection Service of McAfee?? - (it's a special version of Windows Server 2003 Standard 64Bit - as i was shown in the very first initial boot/install process running the server).
Pls. any help and/or advice is appreciated.

You know as well as myself the price politics of the McAfee web sites. Home & Home Office ok, Small Business hmm, Medium ... Enterprise wow no prices are shown. By fact, this last group has obviously the correct software for my system.
So the points given to you are not the last state; when i am able to cope with my issues due to McAfee's software and prices - independent of my decision to buy or not to buy - I come back to my question to give you full points.

Intune: No licenses, user name not recognized and more errors

I've just activated our IUR from our Action Pack subscription.
So, I go an Intune product key for 5 users for 1 year and set it up in the Intune Portal.
So far, so good.
My domain and users from Office365 have automatically transferred to Intune as well, so that's great.
However, it seems the licenses won't activate or something.
When I look at Subscription > Manage (or something like that, it's Dutch), it says 5 licenses until Aprl 2nd 2016.
However, in Subscription > Licenses it says I don't have any licenses.
Also, when going to any other portal (company or admin), it says 'User Name not recognized'.
My main account is rowdy[A]noord-computers.nl
Is there something more I should do? Or do I just have to wait a few days?

If you still see this problem, you should contact Microsoft support from the Intune portal.
They can help you fix this problem.

NetWeaver Developer License?

Hello. I am trying to find the Visual composer .GML files from xAPPS Analytics 1.1
I can find where these are supposed to be, in the download area of the marketplace. However, all of the download packages that apparently contain the .GML files are empty. From the documentation, there are various download packages that begin with the prefix "VC_*".
I read in a post that a separate "NetWeaver Developer License" is required, to download the .GML files? Can someone point me in the right direction on this? Is this true? Where is this license maintained? Individually (by user), or at a company level?
Has anyone seen any documentation on this license?

Hi Steve,
yes, that's right! You need an SAP NetWeaver Developer License and a valid user name to access the analytic composite applications in Service Marketplace.
Follow this path to download the applications: Download -> SAP Installations and Upgrades -> Entry by Application Group -> SAP xApps -> SAP XAPP ANALYTICS -> SAP XAPP ANALYTICS 1.1.
Note that all links are sorted alphabetically. You can find the GML files in the links that start with VC_.....
Regarding your last question (where the license is maintained) I try to find out but haven't got an answer until now. I will let you know asap!

I cannot afford the expense of buying or paying access to the software and, still, I need the tools for all those little things I do for enjoyment. What can be done?

The licenses are operating system specific, so one option would be to retain use of the Windows machine you had before the Mac.
If you want to try to use the older stuff on your new Mac you can try installing Windows emulation software such as Bootcamp.

Office 365 Developer Subscription from my MSDN subscription not activating

I have a "Visual Studio Ultimate with MSDN" subscription. As part of the subscription is the bundled "Office 365 Developer Subscription". I tried to activate the subscription 3 months ago but it failed with some temporary error. Now if I
try to reactivate the subscription, it says
"It’s no longer offered by Microsoft.
You’ve already tried this service. You can sign up for a trial only once.
The beta or trial you’re requesting has expired.
The promotion code has already been used."
How do I avail the benefit of the subscription?

I have already called the support helpline there 3 times and it was of no use. (My company is based in India and our experience for MSDN support here hasn't been that good compared to US support).

DC cdependencies are not recognized on some developer's workplace

we setup the NWDI to work in a team of 5 people. We created several DCs with dependencies (Used DCs).
The strange thing is that a DC build works on my NWDS. All dependencies are recognized and the public part jar files are included in the parent project.
On other machines (other developer's workplaces) the dependcencies are not recognized. The developers have to enter the correspinding projects into the Java build path. After each DC build this has to be done again.
Does someone have an idea why the dependencies are recognized on some PCs (actually only mine) and not on the other ones.
Remark: I am the only one to deploy ear files to the server. Does this have anything to do with the problem?

Yes, same patch level.
I noticed a difference, though.
A classpath variable JRE_SRC is set in the case, where it is working. On the other workplaces this variable is empty.
Maybe a hint?
