Network connection to iTunes Store
When I attempt to access the iTunes Store, I get an error message that my network connection will not allow access. I am a single computer on a single circuit with no restrictions on what will be accepted by the computer. Suggestions?

Cannnot connect to iTunes store - just started happening
Had the phone over two years and this has never happened before. Tried to download updates for purchased apps and got the message "Cannot make network connection to iTunes Store - connection timed out". Tried both fromn the phone itself (WiFi) and from the iTunes app on the Win7 laptop (WifFi). Never a problem before.
I'm having the same issue. I'm unable to download apps on my iPhone, iPad, or iTunes, none seem to be able to connect to the store for the purpose of purchasing or downloading apps.

Hello, I've started having an issue downloading songs and apps from iTunes to our PC which has Windows XP Professional installed. We also use Karspersky Anti-Virus and Firefox as an internet browser. Have never had this issue before, it comes up with "An unknow error has occured and downloads are stopped with an error 8003. Also says please check your network connection" We have no issue connecting to iTunes store or the network so not sure how to fix this. It is very frustrating. Have checked Windows Firewall and iTunes is an exception, can't think of anything else why it won't work.
I sounds as though you need to start again. The following article tells you how to completely remove iTunes and Quicktime. If you didn't actually install iTunes you wont find it in add/remove programs so you can't do that bit, but still delete the iTunes folder in Program Files as advised in the article.
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93698
Once you have got rid of them, try installing the latest version of iTunes. There is a link to it in the article.

Itunes could not connect to iTunes Store-Network timed out. Upgraded to 7.6
I upgraded this morning and was able to buy tracks. Now I get "Itunes could not connect to iTunes Store. The Network connection timed out. Running Nework Connectivity Test shows everything ok. Apple Sw Update application shows the same behavior. All of my other applications and programs run normally. I can surf web ok.
Can someone help me?Search the forums. This is an old problem. For almost everyone it's a Norton issue. I had to upgrade from Norton 360 V1 to V2 to solve the problem. With otehr versions of Norton people have been able to create an entry in the firewall's allowed sites and that fixed it. If nothing else call Norton. They should have had enough calls by now they'll be able to tell you how to fix it for your version of Norton.

I keep getting this error message when I try to log into Itunes, has anyone else seen this error? If so how did you fix it?
Itunes could not connect to itunes store. The network connection timed out. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, and try again.Have you disabled any firewall and security/antivirus programs? This seems to have helped the vast majority of people who have posted the same problem in this forum.

hello! i am using ipad n i am not able to connect to itunes store.Whenever i open itunes it syas "cannot connect to itunes store".i tried resetting the network settings n also tried changing the dat and time settings as mentioned but it still doesnt work!please help!
Saw this on another post.
Applecare Senior Advisor Txx Bxxx (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it! It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.
In the meantime ...........

Best Fixes for ‘Cannot Connect to iTunes Store’ Errors

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year. Then see if you can connect to the store.

I am using a newly purchased Apple TV in a hotel room that has free wi-fi, the Apple TV has detected the network automatically, I am signed in to the Apple iTunes Store, using my Apple ID, and password, but the screen always says "cannot connect to iTunes Store"
Try streaming other content.
If the hotel's network requires login via webpage then it won't actually be connected and you will need to contact the provider to gain access. -
See above. My computer is online but not itune. What can i do???

Network connection time out when connecting to Itunes store
When I try to connect to Itunes store i get this message:
"Itunes could not connect to iTuens sore network connection has times out Make sure your network connection is active and your network setting are correct"
Can some one walk me through or link me to a site or discussion so i can get this fixedI had the same problem several days with the AppStore. Software-downloads did not proceed, i tryed everything, shut down firewalls, change the host-file, disable proxy-server - no success.
I have Kaspersky-Suite as firewall and anti-virus-software.
Accidentially I find a solution:
- select in iTunes at downloads "Proceed" of a download-entry . iTunes then connect with the server, so it is enough time to:
- right-click on the windows-tray-symbol of Kaspersky and select "stop service" (something like that, i work with the german version).
Now, surprise, the download proceed and starts working again. In case the download is freezing again:
- Reactivea Kaspersky-service with right-click as described above, then deactive the serve again as i described.
Seems this "Workaround" opens a door to an network-connection Kaspersky usually block by itself.
Shutdown the firewall and finishing the Firewall-Software is a good idea, but you never know, which process is running in the background despite you shutdown everything possible...
Hope the "solution" is working for you! -

"Could not connect to iTunes store. Your network connection has timed out"
OK. So my internet is fine as you can tell yet i keep getting the message "iTunes could not connect to iTunes store. Your network connection has timed out".I have tried restarting and the parental control thing as well as the "proxy server" thing, and nothing has worked. I would be very grateful if someone could help me
I've had the same problem for the last two weeks. Finally resolved the issue in Windows 7.
Go to start button, control panel, system & security, windows firewall. On the left side of the box click on "advanced settings." On the left side of the box again click on "Inbound Rules." You should be able to see iTunes under the name category. Make sure it has a green check mark next to it. If it does not, then double click on the name. In the "general" box which comes up open, click "Allow the Connection." That worked for me. Somehow itunes was blocked but now I can access the itunes store again. -
