Never buying an HP product again. First time and is the last time!!!

My partner and I brought our laptop 8 months ago and it has caused us nothing but grief. We had the hard drive replaced 3 months ago, the mother board last week and now it is in getting serviced yet again for a new CPU. Our computer was top of the range when we first brought it so we paid an impressive price for it.
Hp customer service want nothing to do with our problems over the phone or through email and I am tired of dealing with them. They have been so unsympathetic and rude. To much of my own time has been wasted on problems that should not happen. Every problem that occurs they try to blame it on software issues. Little do they realise their products are shocking and do not last.
I will be honestly surprised if the computer actually makes it past the warranty date. Thank goodness we took the extra security and purchased the extended warranty through an insurance company however I feel for them as they take on the terrrible problems this laptop is likely to have over the next two years to come.
I would like to lodge a formal complaint as I am not happy with the service provided or my product but I see HP obviously no their products are shocking and know a lot of their customers will not be happy with their purchases, Therefore complaints just don't exist. Good example of a company who is only out there to make money and don't care about their customers.
This is the first Hp product I have ever personally purchased and I can guarantee it will be the last.
Cheers
Ashleigh

  • I will never buy another HP Product Again!

    I tried to get some help with an issue that I have been having and could not decide where the issue fit best so I posted it over multiple areas ... NOT to SPAM, but because it did not fit into anyone area ... here it is listed below;
I have a HP Pavilion a6152n PC purchased in Sept. 07, running 32 bit Vista
For a while my web cam worked fine, but now, while I can see the web cam, those on-line using such services any Skype and Yahoo. can NOT.
The audio continues work fine and CAN be heard by the other party ... the problem is with the video.
I even bought a new web cam thinking maybe it was a problem with the cam, but the same problem repeats on THREE different web cams, one microsoft and two Logitech, so if must be some kind of software(hardware) problem with the computer.
I am hoping it is an easy fix ... I just have no idea what it is, Please help!
Thanks so much and have a good day!
Not one area ... could be hardware, could be software, could be 'other' ... I wanted to get as many eyes as I could so maybe someone would have a solution.
No solutions from HP ... just my posts locked.
That is NOT the kind of customer support that I deserve and I will be taking my future business to other providers.
My suggestion is that HP have both more help and more respect for its clientele.
    Thank you for reading this!

I have had problems with HP from day one and HP would not-could not solve my problem so I lived with it for several years.  After intensive searching for help from HP, I took my HP products off line and bought a Brother AIO and booted it up and guess what....IT WORKED PERFECTLY  the first time.  It finally scanned to Word and I could edit my files.  NEVER could do that wtih the HP G85 AIO which was very expensive and the HP 2400 PhotoJet which was expensive at the time.  Not only would HP refuse to help me solve the problems with my AIOs, HP wanted money UPFRONT just to ascertain what might be the problem.  I have had my home office setup for consulting but was limited as to what I could do with the HP products but now I am certain that with the Brother, I can do all I need to make clients happy and bring in an income.  I, too, will never buy another HP product again.   And by the way, Wendy, get the hell off the forum....you are an HP employer and are as useless as your products.  You should be solving our problems with your products rather than talking gibberish.

  • WILL NEVER BUY AN HP PRODUCT AGAIN!

I am incredibly unsatisfied with HP.  I bought my laptop (a dv7 4077cl) from Sam's Club a little over a year ago (in October of 2010), and over Thanksgiving the heat sink and fan assembly began to go bad.  I am in graduate school right now, so I let it go until finals week was over, and then took it home to see about getting it fixed.  After having tried Staples, Best Buy, and various computer stores to find a replacement heat sink/fan assembly, but couldn't.  So, I decided to try and call HP directly in order to get a replacement part, therefore I could fix it myself and save myself the $250+ they would charge me to fix it. First, the computer service technician told me they would need to replace the entire motherboard, which is blatantly untrue.  Then, we called back and were told that those parts were not available for customers to purchase (however, hard drives, moniters, etc. were).  I asked if I were to take it to a computer store, if they could get the part, and the representitive at HP stated that no, the only way to fix my laptop was to go through them directly.  It is absolutely RIDICULOUS that a) my laptop has hardware that goes bad after just over a year of use and that b) the only place we can get the part is through HP, for a crazy amount of money.  My family has bought roughly 6 or 7 computers from HP, as well as family friends, and after this experience I will never EVER buy another HP laptop again.  I will also tell every single person I know about this experience and urge them not to purchase an HP laptop.  This experience has been way more of a headache than it needs to be, and I can not believe the amount of trouble this has caused over a small part that needs to be replaced.  If you are considering buying a laptop, I urge you to reconsider and purchase a Dell or a Mac, because HP clearly does not stand behind their products.

    Dont feel bad.
I tried contacting HP service today about an issue I'm having with a Lap Top I purchased for my son last Christmas. The display has taken a dump and now the Hard Drive has crashed. I called a month ago. First I get that the Lap Top was out of warranty... I pourchased it on 11/26/2010 and they toldf me the warranty had expired ion July. I was told I needed to send in proof of purchase to verify the warranty period, but never recieved the email they claim to have sent. Now its really out of warranty and they wont help! I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told NO! can you beleive it! NO! if I wanted to have my lap top repaired I would have to pay for it! HP SUCKS! I own 5 HP computers 2 HP Printers, and I will Never buy another HP product again! Way to Go HP Customer service at its best!
    Happy Holidays!

  • Never buying another Creative product again

To anyone at Creative who might be reading this,
I recently submitted the following question to Creative email support: "When do you plan on releasing updated drivers for the Audigy 2 line which will support Vista and be compatable with the Service Pack installation? (The lack of up to date drivers currently prohibitsupgrading to SP according to Microsoft) Thank you."
In return, I received the email below. As a long time supporter of your company, I'd like your team at Creative to know that this canned, non-reply pretty much guarantees that I will never buy another Creative product again. The notion that a simple email query can't be answered if it's more than a year after the purchase date is laughable. Especially when it's related to your company failing to keep up to date with the roll-out of one of the most common operating systems in the world.
Thank you for so clearly indicating the little regard with which you hold your customers.

Looks to me like they gave you very good advice and places to look to solve your problem yourself.
Please suggest to us how you would resolve this problem with any of those resources? This is a known compatibility problem between Audigy series soundcards (amongst others) which can only be resolved with updated drivers which have not been written yet. It affects both recently purchased cards and older ones. In the future, I would suggest becoming more familiar with the problem before jumping in with comments (also reading the original post helps).

  • First time posting, about the last time I try to fix iTunes before I give up

I'm probably not going to make friends amongst the Apple-o-philes. PC user. deal with it; iPhones were sold to us as platform independent; iTunes is offered as a product that works with Windows. OK. I bought into it; my third iPhone, got one for my girlfriend, got 4,000 songs in iTunes. And I find rather than my Apple product making my life better, faster, quicker, stronger, more efficient, I'm spending hours every month doing things I've done or had to do now a dozen times. Every time there is an update, now I have three computers to update and it totally scrambles my music library with now four copies of every file.
Eventhe Apple boards I see online say "Oh, it will take you a few hours, but it's worth it"
That's not the point - why is it neccessary? Arent computers the kind of thing you'd use to sort through a list of 10,000 anythings and let the processor find the 2,500 you want so a human doesn't have to waste "a few hours"????
That there is now an aftermarket program offered for sale at $20 or more to fix the problems with iTunes libraries should embarass someone imprtant at Apple. It surely makes a good argument why we don't see the "I'm a Mac"/"I'm a PC" ads, because my Mac products (iPhones/iTunes) have cost me a lot of money, and taken a lot of my time.' at this point as much if not more than my 3 PC's. My frustration has brought me to tears, and unfortunately in the wake of the death of Steve Jobs, I'm going to say something that may sound "too soon" or at least sacreligious:
If I have "Manage music manually" checked, why can't I just click-and-drag a song straight from Windows into iTunes.? Onto my iPhone?
I mean it was Macintosh that brought the world the computer mouse, at least how most of us learned to use one is because Mac had it first. Click and drag is something that came first to Mac OS, second to Windows.
Why can I not drag a song, a podcast, a movie, from it's Windows location to iTunes, drop it on my iPhone and find it on the phone? Why do I have to go through this "sync" madness to risk wiping my phone clean in the process (as it did once already)? Why does "manually manage music" do no good, because if I drag a song anywhere onto the iTunes window, i Can't drop it anywhere.
I magange to get a Bachelor's degree from a Big Ten university, in of all things Computer Graphics Design. My experience with iTunes and my iPhone at times make me feel like someone must have dressed me in the morning and fed me liquid food through a straw because surely someone this hapless is too hopeless to chew and swallow on his own.
Next, Apple wants me to pay for the cloud, pay for support by the call, pay $40 for a new cord every time the dog chews one or when it comes apart on it's own (which any cable that costs $40 ought not to do under normal use) -
I feel used by Apple. I used to love my original iPod, right now I feel like a stooge and I'm having confidence issues about life in general because iTunes has broken my spirit, and the money-sink reality of this thing is making me glad the cassette deck in my car still works and my mix tapes just don't disappear like my playlists.
Should I just kill myself? This is almost a serious question - because I go up an ddown these forums and I see hundreds, thousands of questions - spent two hours looking for an answer before I posted this one - I can't find an answer.

  • 9ias : Slow first time and fast the other times

    Hi,
    I'm facing a problem with using Reports 9ias on a HP-UX server ...
I start a report server on the server
I'm calling the report from forms with RUN_REPORT_OBJECT (destype=file, desformat=pdf, batch, synchronous) and then call a web.show_document.
The first time I run the report it takes a long time ...
The others times, even with different parameters, it appears immediately
I've understood the Report Server is using a cache and it takes time to load reports in it.
We have 250 reports in our application, and we would like the reports to run immediately for the end-users.
How can I put all the reports into the cache automatically in background ?
Is there a way to speed up the first call ?
    Thx in advance !

Log in on the browser window page that appears and confirm that your primary apple ID and primary email have been verified (should have green ticks and the word 'verified' next to them.  If you use itunes on a pc to sync with then do this through iTunes;Store menu on your pc, ensuring that you sync your device once finshed.  You will also need to check that your device is set to the correct timezone and time in your devices settings page.  If problem still persists at least we'll know the basics are ok.
When you post again can you also include whether ipad2/3 etc and iOS e.g. 5.3.1/6.01 etc
    Best regards
    Nick

The best procedure is to download Lion once but don't install immediately.
First, locate & copy the installer - preferably to another drive. Having done that you can then go ahead with the 1st install.
Subsequently copy the installer in turn to each other drive and install as required.
Note: the installer will be automatically deleted at the end of the installation if on the same drive as the new installation.
If you do what several posters have suggested you will be downloading the installer multiple times - which won't cost you as long as you log in to the App Store with the same ID & password. However, It will again take the download time and the install time.
Note also: When you login to install on another drive connected to your 1st Lion installation App Store won't give you the option of another install unless you hold the Option key while clicking on purchases.

  • How do I create a 1d array that takes a single calculation and insert the result into the first row and then the next calculation the next time the loop passes that point and puts the results in thsecond row and so on until the loop is exited.

The attached file is work inprogress, with some dummy data sp that I can test it out without having to connect to equipment.
The second tab is the one that I am having the problem with. the output array from the replace element appears to be starting at the index position of 1 rather than 0 but that is ok it is still show that the new data is placed in incrementing element locations. However the main array that I am trying to build that is suppose to take each new calculation and place it in the next index(row) does not ap
pear to be working or at least I am not getting any indication on the inidcator.
Basically what I am attempting to do is is gather some pulses from adevice for a minute, place the results for a calculation, so that it displays then do the same again the next minute, but put these result in the next row and so on until the specifiied time has expired and the loop exits. I need to have all results displayed and keep building the array(display until, the end of the test)Eventually I will have to include a min max section that displays the min and max values calculated, but that should be easy with the min max function.Actually I thought this should have been easy but, I gues I can not see the forest through the trees. Can any one help to slear this up for me.

I didn't really have time to dig in and understand your program in depth,
but I have a few tips for you that might things a bit easier:
    - You use local variables excessively which really complicates things. Try
not to use them and it will make your life easier.
    - If you flowchart the design (very similar to a dataflow diagram, keep in
mind!) you want to gather data, calculate a value from that data, store the
calculation in an array, and loop while the time is in a certain range. So
theres really not much need for a sequence as long as you get rid of the
local variables (sequences also complicate things)
    - You loop again if timepassed+1 is still less than some constant. Rather
than messing with locals it seems so much easier to use a shiftregister (if
absolutely necessary) or in this case base it upon the number of iterations
of the loop. In this case it looks like "time passed" is the same thing as
the number of loop iterations, but I didn't check closely. There's an i
terminal in your whileloop to read for the number of iterations.
    - After having simplified your design by eliminating unnecessary sequence
and local variables, you should be able to draw out the labview diagram.
Don't try to use the "insert into array" vis since theres no need. Each
iteration of your loop calculates a number which goes into the next position
of the array right? Pass your result outside the loop, and enable indexing
on the terminal so Labview automatically generates the array for you. If
your calculation is a function of previous data, then use a shift register
    to keep previous values around.
I wish you luck. Post again if you have any questions. Without a more
detailed understanding of your task at hand it's kind of hard to post actual
    code suggestions for you.

  • Every time I sync my iphone 4 with itunes my ring custom ring tones change.  I have 7 custom ring tones in itunes.  One time it will load 1 custom ring tone the next it may be 3 then the next it is one again.  The last time it gave me 4 of the 7.

Every time I sync my iPhone 4 with iTunes the number of my custom ring tones change.  I have 7 custom ring tones listed.   The first time it will load 1 of the ring tones and the next time it will load 3,  The next time it will be back to 1.  If I have assigned one of the custom ring tones and it does not get loaded it goes back to the ring tone that came with the phone.  The last time itunes gave me 4 of the 7 so I have not tried to sync it again.  I am using iTunes 10 (10.4.10), and windows 7.
Has anyone else had this problem??
Any ideas to what I need to do??

Have you ever had all 7 of them synced before? Are these ringtones you made yourself? Is there a chance they could exceed 30 seconds in length? Is there a chance you have moved the original file location on the computer? May need the answers to a couple more questions to try and determine an answer.

Using win 7 and latest iTunes [10.6.3]. Have already gone through below links and did not find any solution.

I was hoping it would be something like a USB device conflict, but now the shuffle is the only thing connected...
This article was one of the ones you linked to above in your initial post
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1369
Under Part 9. Verify that USB drivers are installed, did you try the steps in If only "Unknown Device" appears?  That appears to be your situation.
Also, you said that the shuffle initially worked well enough to do a sync, then it had the same problem again.  If you can get it to work again initially, before doing anything else, try the following.  Select the shuffle in the iTunes sidebar, under DEVICES.  Over to the right, go to the Summary tab.  By default, the checkbox for Enable disk use should be unchecked.  If so, check it and Apply the change.  See if that makes any difference.
(If Enable disk use was already checked, try unchecking it and Apply the change.  Basically, set it the "other way" and see if there is any improvement.)
NOTE:  When disk use is enabled, you have to eject the iPod in iTunes before disconnecting it physically.
If the disk use change makes a difference, that may provide a clue about the actual cause.

I have a new Macbook Air, 6 months old, and for the last few days the fan had run continuously, this is the first time it has ever run, and now it won't stop, the fan starts up as soon as I turn it on and the computer seems to running more slowy. The computer is not hot but I am worried it may burn out,.Any ideas on how I can fix this please ?

    Hello dwb,
Here is the screen shot, just the top half, there are another 10 pages, but I guess this should enough for you to have an idea of waht is going on, bit small I am afraid. No, I don't have any apps setup to run when I open my computer, the kernel, varies between 290 and 305 per cent ish.
Would that PRAM thing help ? I think it may be the computer itself, well something inside, as this the first time that the fan has ever started running since I have this computer, even when I have 3 or 4 apps running.
Thank you again for your advice,
    Regard,

  • The last time you opened Finder, it unexpectedly quit while reopening windows. Do you want to try to reopen its windows again?

The following phrase/option box keeps popping up on my finder: The last time you opened Finder, it unexpectedly quit while reopening windows. Do you want to try to reopen its windows again? regardless of whether I click to reopen or not the box disappears and then comes back again regardless of which answer I pick. How do I get rid of this annoyance?

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
    Step 1
For this step, the title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
              View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen.
In the top right corner of the Console window, there's a search box labeled Filter. Initially the words "String Matching" are shown in that box. Enter the name of the crashed application or process. For example, if iTunes crashed, you would enter "iTunes" (without the quotes.)
Each message in the log begins with the date and time when it was entered. Select the messages from the time of the last crash, if any. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
☞ The log contains a vast amount of information, almost all of which is irrelevant to solving any particular problem. When posting a log extract, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.
Please don't indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Please don't post screenshots of log messages—post the text.
☞ Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.
    Step 2
    In the Console window, select
DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION ▹ User Diagnostic Reports
(not Diagnostic and Usage Messages) from the log list on the left. There is a disclosure triangle to the left of the list item. If the triangle is pointing to the right, click it so that it points down. You'll see a list of crash reports. The name of each report starts with the name of the process, and ends with ".crash". Select the most recent report related to the process in question. The contents of the report will appear on the right. Use copy and paste to post the entire contents—the text, not a screenshot.
I know the report is long, maybe several hundred lines. Please post all of it anyway.
If you don't see any reports listed, but you know there was a crash, you may have chosen Diagnostic and Usage Messages from the log list. Choose DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION instead.
In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.)
Please don’t post other kinds of diagnostic report—they're very long and rarely helpful.

I have Photoshop CS5 Extended and it says updates available but when i download the updates it says updates failed please try again later, i have tried a few times and get the same message any help would be great i am running 64bit on windows 8.

I am running Windows 7 64 bit ultimate and have the same problem.  My hard drive crashed, installed a new one and then reinstalled CS5 extended.  Installation went fine, but can no longer open my camera RAW files from Photoshop (camera is a Canon EOS T2i.  The message also tells me I am not eligible for the update.  I am... and I cannot open my files and I could before.  I can find nowhere to contact Adobe to tell me how to proceed.  My daughter is all a registered user of the same product and she had no problems upgrading... we purchased ours each at the same time. I do know the difference is that I had to reinstall and she did not.  If that means anything.
