New call features not active

Hi,
I have ordered 2 features online with my phone line recently:
all day free calls to uk land lines £7
intenational inclusive calls £5.50
it doesn't look like these have become active even though Ii have ben send conformation emails. When I look at my current calls online they still show a cost
Can someone help please....?

New call does not interrupt when on-line

When connected via EDGE and am on-line a new call does not ring through. The caller will hear three rings and then get forwarded to voice mail. Latest version of iPhone code installed and phone has been reinitalized several times but still does not fix this issue.

If you are actively transferring data over EDGE, such as loading a web page, or viewing a web app that constantly uses the internet connection such as a IM web app, calls may go to voicemail.
If you are viewing a web page which has already been loaded, then the call should interupt.

New calling feature in OS X 10.10 needs a keypad

The new calling feature works great in OS X 10.10, until you come across an automated phone system... No keypad.
Hopefully that will get updated. I can't imagine Apple didn't think about this.

Caller Dispaly not activated??

Hi, caller display worked fine until we moved to BT Broardband and Phone package. I did request "Privacy at Home" when we switched back to BT.
Looking through the forums i found out about dialing *#234# and got a message saying the "service requested was not available. So it seems to not have been activated?
I've tried to set it up again through in my account - but half of myBT seems not to work. After going through the options to add calling features to my line in the end I always just get a message saying I can't change my calling features at the moment.
I would phone 150 (as some other threads have suggested), but I don't want to spend hours on the phone to some foreign call centre who from previous really bad experience give you the run around so i would rather it could be fixed on here and really the options to do it in myBT should work!
Any help would be appreciated!

hi, if you ring at around 9 o clock today (in the morning) i would go through to sales (answer quickly and its an English call centre who are not to mad about script reading) explain to them you would like it activated and im sure they can do it or put you through quickly to a department that can it should be to long on the phone especially if you ring early when the English call centres first open. feel free to post back if you still have problems getting it activated.

How/Why Do Phone Features Not Activated Get Turned On Anyway?

We have the FIOS Triple Play. The main phone line uses most of the phone features/services, including voicemail, which was activated by the person using that line. About a month after getting FIOS I arranged with Verizon to terminate my personal copper landline and have my number become the second line on the FIOS account. I am older and have used an answering machine for many years and have no problems with doing so. I have never used a provider's voicemail service and did not want to. So I took no steps to activate this feature. I did try to activate the caller ID display on my TV set for my line, but could not. So I chatted with Verizon and asked how I could do this. I was told it was not possible at this time but it might be addressed sometime in the future. About a week later it was apparently working despite that not being possible.
Over the weekend I was informed by the person who uses the main line that apparently there was Voicemail active for my number. I just got done with two different Verizon Chat Agents to get the thing turned off. Since this feature was not activated by anybody in this house, it was obviously activated by Verizon. I do not understand why this would happen. I do not know if there were any messages in the voicemail when they turned it off for that number. And I am only assuming it is actually turned off as I don't know how to determine this.
What probably annoys me the most in all this is my email is the main one for the account. So any notifications about changes Verizon has made to services, features etc, come to me. So why did I not get a notice that the Voicemail feature had been turned on? And isn't a password involved? Since I did not activate the feature, I certainly did not choose a password, so how could I even access any voicemails????

Verizon Voicemail is a free feature that is available to all customers of Verizons home phone service at no additional cost. The reason you saw no order is that your phone line (and everyone elses) is turned on with this feature activated. Any subsequent changes of the account after the line is turned on (such as removing the voicemail or adding other features) will trigger an email such as the one you are seeing. I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused and hopefully that this helps explain what went on.

Why is my call waiting not activating on my iphone 4

it always use to work but just recenty when i switched to amaysim, i started to notice that its turned off and no calls could come through while i was on the phone its so frustrating, how can i fix it ??

Call waiting is a carrier feature, not a phone feature. So, the first step is to contact your carrier.

New messaging features not availble after upgrade to iOS 8.1

I've upgraded my 4s to 8.1, but I don't get the new messaging features. My keyboard doesn't have a button for emoticons and the strip with the dictionary words is missing. I've got the same old screen/keyboard I've always had. I have iMessage turned on. Is there some other setting I'm missing?

Never mind. I checked in settings and my os is still at 7.1.2. It looks like the upgrade failed.

New 'resume' feature not working properly

Hi All!
As there does not seem to be a manual for Lion, I am hoping someone can answer the following questions for me:
I have assigned various applications to different desktops (spaces). Unfortunately, after a system restart, these are not restored to their assigned desktops, but all open in desktop 1. I think the 'resume' idea is great, but this kind of spoils it for me. Am I just doing something wrong?
Also, Lion does not remember whether an application was closed or open. It will just open any 'active' application to a full window, which is also kind of annoying. So, yes, resume is an interesting feature, but unless Lion remembers the exact state the app was in before restart, it is completely useless.
I am hoping that I am just missing something like a setting or such, and that one of you has already found out how to change it.

I don't have one, so I'm not certain what to look for, but MOST of the User stuff is kept in...
/Users/nnnn/Library/Preferences/
One interesting one that I find is..
Users/nnnn/Library/Preferences/ByHost/com.apple.keyboardtype.0003930b0244.plist
Likely the numbers before .plist will be different on yours, try dragging that, (those), file(s) to the desktop, (we can drag them back later if need be).
Then log out and back in, might have to you Keyboard setup or the Control Panel to setup the KB again.

New Imac, applecare not activating??

Anyone experiencing the issue where a purchased applecare in a fysical applestore allong with a new 20" imac is not being accepted on activation...?

Are you sure the store didnt already activate it? Alot of times if u purchase both the mac and applecare in the store at the same time they will take care of activation for you. Just a thought

Why are new Facebook features not showing up in Safari?

Facebook added some features recently and the are not showing up in Safari. They show up and work fine on every other browser I've tried. I am not using any extensions in Safari.
Anyone else having this issue?

Same problem here, just started yesterday. It's not Safari, it's Facebook. The sooner FB members report this as a bug the sooner a fix.

Block Caller feature not blocking calls on iOS7.0.2

I am still receiving calls from contacts I have blocked. I have an iPhone 4S using iOS 7.0.2. Does anyone know how to prevent this?

Nothing.
If you block a number from the iPhone you do not hear any ring. If the blocked caller leaves a voicemail it will be in your voicemail folder under blocked callers. You will not get any notification sound for these voice mails.
The text messages you will never see. The sender will never know they were blocked.

Can you please check and share mysite setting details. Check for below:
Create a site collection at the root using the My Site Host template
Assuming you want users’ MySites to be created at
http://mySiteHost/personal/[John_Smith], create a Managed Path for the web app. The path should be personal, and the type should be
Wildcard Inclusion.
In User Profile Service Application, set My Site Host location to
http://mySiteHost, and
Personal Site Location to personal.
Enable Self-Service Site Creation for the web app
Check when the timerjob was mysite last executed. Try to manually run them
Check ULS Log for possible error and share error details with us

Featured News comp not activating state on rollerout of trigger

My Featured News composition is not activating the rollerover state on "rollout of trigger" I have a previous version of my composition which I am using as a menu which displays the correct state until I rollout of the trigger area yet my newest version with many new pages added to my site does not work. I have tried opening both compositions and even copying the working menu to the not working menu Muse file but then I have 2 menus that do not display the rollover state when the mouse is over the display area. I am very confused as to why one file works and one does not when all the setting for the Featured News composition are the same.
Has anyone else had this happen? If so how did you fix it?
