New Cloud Updates Won't Apply

I am a Cloud Subscriber. I was very excited about the new updates for Cloud, but when I run the updater I can't get Photoshop, InDesign, or Illustrator to work.
I've run the updates multiple times and every time it says 'update failed'.
Any suggestions?

Interesting it should have given you an error code as well.  Also what specific updates are you trying to apply to Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign?
You may want to review your installation logs applicable for each of the updates to determine the specifics of the error.  You can find details on how to locate and interpret the log files at Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5-cs5.html.

    Hi. Yes I've looked all through restrictions and there is nothing that will block it. This is weird. Apple usually always thinks of this stuff. Usually they provide ways to both choose a parental level or block it from being used all together. I can't do either. On some of my devices I want to restrict what I'm seeing/hearing from iTunes radio but on some I want to block it all together. I've been all through restrictions and there is no option for either.

    We have started to use office 365 pro plus 2013 click to run. The issue / problem we have is that the updates are installing but does not apply. The version of word,excel.. Is old
    and i need to manually go to example word and account to apply the updates. I want the updates to automatically apply.
    In the config file i have enabled updates. <Updates Enabled="TRUE" />. I have also enabled updates thru group policy and checked that the policy is applying.
    In the registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\15.0\ClickToRun\propertyBag i have the following keys:
    updatesenabled = 1

    Does anyone have this problem and know how to make the updates apply automatically. I know that if there are office applications open it won’t apply or update but i have a test

  • New iTunes update won't recognize my computer

    I just uploaded the new iTunes update for my pc and when I go to play a song I get a message saying that this computer is not authorized to play my iTunes songs.  So I enter my password to "authorize" this computer and a message comes up saying that the computer IS ALREADY authorized.  But it still wont let me play my songs.  I even tried to deauthorize this computer and re authorize it and I still get the same message.  Can't seem to find a button that will allow my undo the last update.

    Had to delete the purchased song. Sync my ipod with my computer. redownload the song and BOOM GOES THE DYNAMITE. I can listen to the song through my pc and dont have to keep reauthorizing my computer

    To resolve this error, I recommend completely removing and reinstalling iTunes and all of its related components using these steps:
    Check for .dll files
    Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
    If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
    Reboot your computer.
    Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
    Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
    Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
    Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
    Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.

    I've downloaded the new iTunes update but I can't seem to do a drag and drop with playlists from my PC/mac onto my external Apple devices (2x iPads, iPod and my iPhone)
    Is this lost functionality or a new "feature"
    I don't want iCloud and Home Sharing doesn't work for me...
    Any ideas....?
    I can include songs onto a device but only one at a time wheras I need to drag the whole playlist...

    No, I haven't had any solution to this problem. None of the myriad of possible solutions work. Doesn't someone from Apple monitor these boards? I've given up in getting it fixed and am seriously ****** at the lack of response on Apple's part without me paying for an answer. This is a ridiculous way to support software, where I have to troll around a discussion board hoping someone stumbled upon a solution and will actually reply to this thread.
    Considering the amount of Apple products that I own, you'd think I could get a freakin' response. Here's are the amount of apple products in my house, all bought within the past 3 years-
    Mac Pro Quad Core
    15" MacBook Pro
    13" Macbook Air
    3 Mac Minis
    Three iPad's
    2 iPhone 4's
    2 iPod Touch's
    But because it's on my Mac Pro, which is 1 1/2 years old, I can't get an answer to this! ***.

  • New creative cloud update won't work

    Creative cloud says that I need to update the new software but when I try to download it, it doesn't work. It says "We've encountered the following issues: Sorry, there seems to be a problem with the download process (Error code: A12E5). It won't let me get onto anything else as the only option given is to download this new update? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    It sounds like you are experiencing some unexpected behavior with the iTunes app after a recent update. I would use the following article to help you troubleshoot the issue, named:

    Start with loading iTunes in Safe Mode to help isolate 3rd party plugins, and if needed there are additional steps to use in the article:
    Start iTunes in Safe Mode
    Open iTunes in Safe Mode to isolate any interference from plug-ins or scripts not manufactured by Apple.
    Hold down Shift–Control while opening iTunes. You should see a dialog that says "iTunes is running in safe mode" before iTunes finishes starting up.

  • New Software updater won't install....old won't un...

    Hi,
    I have a laptop running Vista Home Premium SP1. I have the latest version of Nokia PC Suite and the previous version of software updater 1.4.53en. I have a Nokia 6300 running 6.60. I noticed that a new version of the firmware has been released 7.00 and tried to install this.
    When I launched the updater the system confirms that a newer version of the updating software is available. It downloads this but then on installation an error confirming "The version of Nokia Software Updater already installed on this computer is newer than the one you are trying to install. Installation will not continue." I then tried manually downloading the update file from Nokia site and the error message issued was the same. I then tried to uninstall the existing update software and this is prevented with a message "This action is only valid for products that are currently installed."
    I found the previous installer file for 1.4.53en but I get the same message confirming that a newer version is already installed.
    Can anyone help? How can I upgrade or remove this software?

  • New Garageband update won't let me use my Antares Autotune Evo Plugin?

    So ive used this plugin just fine until the new update. Need this plugin for recording certain vocals from certain people. Just frustrated as to why it wouldn't work. Can anyone tell me why? And if there's a way to fix it??

    The newest GarageBand version is a 64-bit application, and 32-bit plug-ins will not work any longer. Also, the plug-ins need to be compatible with Mavericks's sandboxing.  Check at the Manufacturer's web site, if there is an updated version of your plug-in available.

    Ever since i updated the creative cloud app it will not connect.  I have had problems with the connection to the cloud ever since i have had my cloud subscription. Whether i am home or work, it does the same thing, so it is not the internet connection.

  • IDCS update won't apply in 10.5.6

    Has anyone had any problems updating CS to 3.0.1 in 10.5.6? After running the update, the application still says 3.0. Certain scripts will not run unless the app is updated. Some have asked if maybe the app doesn't show the update but makes the changes. I can say with relative certainty that it didn't actually update.
    We have all versions of ind but we have to turn out jobs in the app in which they were submitted.
    I tried killing the prefs, reloading printer styles and reloading the scripts to no avail. One script in particular fails everytime. Only on mac and only 10.5.6
    Anyone have any ideas?

    You can do the Archive and Install option in the 10.5 Installer. Click the Options button at the Select a Destination screen. It will install a fresh copy of the OS, but try and preserve special folders (like the stuff in Application Support), preserve all the users, etc.
    And yes, it is best to install/reinstall Adobe Suites in the order they came out in. I believe there are some files that can get overwritten by earlier Suites that aren't compatible with later Suites. (I.e. an application support item for CS4 has the same name as the one for CS3, but updated functionality.)

    10.5.8 killed the airport card on my Power Mac G5, and this morning I see there is an update released, but it's only for laptops! And the fix on that dutch site didn't work. I know it's a software problem because it began right after I updated my OS. And if I boot onto my other HD which is running 10.5.2, wireless internet is perfectly fine. What can I do here?

    At least you have a hard drive with 10.5.2 that proves it works there. That narrows down what my user tip that is still being reviewed here:
    If you have Macbook or MacBook Pro, and have upgraded to 10.5.8, you may experience slower than normal airport connection due to a bug found in the original 10.5.8 installer. Apple has released this update for MacBooks and MacBook Pros to address the issue:

    It may not help in certain third party routers, in which case, it is recommended that you contact the third party router manufacturer for a firmware update, and find out also if others have your exact same router, and have found a resolution with your issue. Wireless issues can be caused by the following:
    1. Interference on the same wireless channel.
    2. Single channel connection from some third party routers not being strong enough to deal with interference. Apple Airport Express, Extreme, and Time capsule wireless routers all support dual channel connections, and also support networking with Windows as well as Mac.
    3. Bad router tables in your router.
    4. Power surges.
    5. Interference from microwaves, or 2.4 Ghz non-cell wireless phones, whose signal is not tempered with channel hopping.
    6. Distances less than 2 feet may have many overlapping wireless waves causing interference from the wireless router.
    7. Distances greater than 150 feet from the wireless router.
    8. Walls with numerous pipes, improper ground wiring, file cabinets with numerous papers between the computer and the router.
    9. Run the hardware test that came with your computer, it may indicate an issue on the logicboard which could also impact your wireless card.
    10. Improper security on your wireless connection. Setting up a WPA2 connection is preferred over WEP, which is preferred over no password.
    11. 802.11n is a draft standard, meaning not all routers support it the same way.
    12. Data corruption in the wireless cache settings, caused by improper system maintenance:

    Not everyone will get this problem.

    to suggest the bare minimum you either performed improper maintenance, or the wireless driver in your installation of 10.5.8 is not compatible with the wireless firmware of your router.

  • Safari 3.2.1 Update won't apply - system just hangs

    I seem to have a problem and although I have looked at various posts on several message boards, I can't find anyone with the same problem, which is:
    I have all the latest updates, except for the latest Safari 3.2.1, but when I re-start to install the update, it just hangs.
    I've re-started several times, but same problem.
    My current version is Version 3.2 (5525.26.12)
    and Software Update says that I still need to update to 3.2.1.
    I don't have any other issues with current version. I downloaded the 3.2.1 original update a week or two ago and it has been running OK, although I did have a similar problem when I first tried to update to it, but it worked eventually.
    Any ideas ?

    Here's what you should do:
    1. Repair Permissions.
    2. Download and install the 10.5.5 Combo Update.
    3. Download and install Safari 3.2.1. *Do Not Use* the Safari update; delete it.
    4. Repair Permissions again.
    5. Launch Safari, disable the "Warn before visiting a fraudulent web site" feature in Preferences > Security and see if it works normally for you.
    6. If it crashes, post the crash report.

    After installing the latest Safari update, the application refuses to quit when I try to logout. I have to go back to Safari and quit the program. Is this a common issue? Or am I doing something wrong?

    Hello and welcome to Apple Discussions...
    You need to update your system software, not just Safari.
    Click your Apple menu (top left corner of your screen) scroll down and click "Software Update...*
    When the updates are installed, repair disk permissions.
    Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. That can be ignored. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac.
