New Data Basis using infocbe 0BCS_C11

Hi,
I am creating new data basis using Infocube 0BCS_C11 in SEM BCS 4.0. Data Stream has been generated properly. Company and Consolidation Profit Center has been assigned Role ''Consolidation Unit'.
However, I am not getting Company as characteristic in 'Authorization/Validity check' tab. I can see:
Consolidation Group
Consolidation Profir Center Group
Consolidation Profit Center
We are using Infocube 0BCS_C11 as we think that in future we might use Matrix Consolidation, though there is no current requirement. At present we are going to use Legal Consolidation only.
Can you please advise?

I am not sure what your question is. The code you pasted looks like the MatrixAndDataSources example that comes with the SDK. What are you trying to do?

! is needed only when configuring a data source in the mapViewerConfig.xml file.

i have developped with labview an interface that can control automatic irrigation station using two sensors ( humidity sesonr and temperature sensor) so i want to save data aquired during a year in a data base so i can compare these results in the next year please help me to do that in my interface labview and thanks

There is a database toolkit for LabVIEW. I don't think it is a free download however. With the Data Manipulation toolkit, you can integrate with most databases that use the ODBC protocol.
If you don;t need anything fancy, you can write the values out to file using the write/read spreadsheet VIs. If the file is [COMMA] or [TAB] delimited, you can import it into your database with ease.
Another approach is to format you output to a text file as SQL, and import the records that way.

You can communicate your Flex app with SAP or another third-parties throw WebServices, RPC's or Remote Objects (java).
For the communication with Oracle, there is a versión of Oracle which has WebServices to expose the operations; if not avaliable, you might need an application server (php, jsp, ...)

Not filling data in data base using Idoc

Hi experts,
I have a problem while filling data to data base table. My issue is
I'm transferring data from c4c to crm, when customer filling the custom fields in header level for contacts in C4C, the idoc structure is filled but when I look the database table but000 the custom fields values are not updated.

What IDoc basic/extension and message type are you using? And what corresponding process code are you using in the inbound partner profile?
If you are using standard for the above, then definitely the custom fields will not be populated automatically - you will need to have custom logic in a relevant user-exit/BADI to extract the custom fields from the IDoc structure and populate it into the table.

JAVA ENGINE is not connected to Data Base using JDBC in XI 3.0?

I am copying the DATA BASE from a old DATABASE.
Then i got an error like
Error: java.io.FileNotFoundException: JdbcCon.log (Permission denied)
J2EE Database is not available via test
i.e while i try to connect to the Java Visual Administrator by Command Prompt it shows the above error.
Can anyone suggest me to solve this problem.

Your Java engine is not up.
Check the log files under work directory.
Paste the log file here std_bootstrap and jvm_bootstrap files.

Why does new Date() sometimes use different timezone?

I have date values stored as longs (milliseconds). I debug my app because I somehow get time parts that are not zero (00:00:00). Then I noticed this:
315529200000 : Tue Jan 01 00:00:00 CET 1980
1104447600000 : Fri Dec 31 00:00:00 CET 2004
1059602400000 : Thu Jul 31 00:00:00 CEST 2003
All values have a time of zero (correct) but show a diffetent time zone? How is that possible? I created the time strings all via the same
Systemn.out.println("Date of long: "+new Date(l));
The last number suddenly hast "CEST" instead of "CET" and therefore somewhere else lead to a time 23:00:00.

I just checked this simple case:
I have a date and add exactly 1 day and the result is not the original result + 1 day:
        long d1 = 1099173600000L; //2004-10-31 00:00:00
        System.out.println(new Date(d1));
        long d2 = 86400000L; //1 day in milliseconds
        long d3 = d1 + d2;
        System.out.println(new Date(d3)); //2004-10-31 23:00:00 !!!

the output is:
Sun Oct 31 00:00:00 CEST 2004
Sun Oct 31 23:00:00 CET 2004
So, instead of added 1 day, this just added 23 hours!

Creating a new data base for file maker pro from an existing data base.

I get this error message: (file name) could not be created on this disk. Use a different name, make more room on this disk, unlock it or use a different disk.
I have gigabits of free space, I tried several different names, and I don't see how to unlock it.
Trying to start the new year with a blank database instead of doing the work around I've done for years.

In the design (IR) when u r specifying the messages interface define it has synchronous message there u will get the reponse message tag below the actual message interface. Here you can define the reponse message frm the thrid party if the message got failed.
Try do this with help of integration senario in which u can define the reponse(which is failed) also..............

Another one who loves to forever use double-quotes around identifiers. Very proper thing to do, especially useful in trouble shooting environments such as SQLPlus. <g>
BTW: The proper way to handle temp tables in Oracle is to learn about Global Temporary Tables.

Executing a MS Assess Data base using exec() problem

I am trying to run an access database from java. I would also like to pass it a command line argument. My code is as follows:
Runtime rt = Runtime.getRuntime();
String fileName = "c:\invoices\aspen\aspen.mdb " /cmd "100"
Process ps = rt.exec(new String[] {"cmd.exe", "/c", "start", fileName});
Every time I run the application, it opens a command window but does not run the access database. Can anyone shed any light on what I am doing wrong.

Newbie here. Sorry for the misunderstanding. The problem I am having is with formating the fileName string. When I do "start: c:\invoices\aspen\aspen.mdb" from the command line, it works fine.
I am having problems formating the fileName parm that is listed on the exec(). I need to point to the correct path where the mdb is located, and also, add the suffix "/cmd 100" where 100 is a command argument that access accepts and act on.

Error when creating data base using Database Configuration Assistant

Hi!
I have installed Oracle 9i release 2 in Windows Xp, I want to create a db from the Database Configuration Assistant but they appear the following errors:
ORA 01034
ORA 01501
ORA1109
I press the button to ignore but they continue appearing.. when the process arrives the 12% they stopped.... When i installed the Oracle appeared a pair of errors but when i press the Ignore button the process continued and finish satisfactorily....
Any Suggestion???

Oracle error description
ORA-01034 ORACLE not available
Cause: Oracle was not started.
Possible causes include the following:
1) The SGA requires more space than was allocated for it.
2) The operating-system variable pointing to the instance is improperly defined.
Action: Refer to accompanying messages for possible causes and correct the problem mentioned in the other messages. If Oracle has been initialized, then on some operating systems, verify that Oracle was linked correctly. See the platform-specific Oracle documentation.
