New Dell pc with windows 7 and won't download itunes
I just got a new Dell pc with windows professional 7 os and not able to download itunes. Every time, I click download, nothing happens, nothing is downloading. Did all the windows updates and checked my security software to see it was blocking it. Is there something not computable with windows 7? Or is there something else that I need to download first? Don't have much software on the pc yet. Even tried connecting my iphone to pc and didn't bring up itunes either.
There is some anecdotal evidence that the scripts on the Apple site that are supposed to detect the version of Windows you are running may fail for some users - jumping straight to the "Thank you for downloading ..." page with the installer not having been downloaded. As an alternative, you can go directly to the relevant downloads - like the previous 12.1.0.77 release, there are three different installers available, with direct links to these as follows:
iTunes 12.1.1.4 (32-bit) - iTunesSetup.exe
iTunes 12.1.1.4 (64-bit) - itunes6464setup.exe
iTunes 12.1.1.4 (64-bit "for older video cards") - iTunes64Setup.exe
The third of these - which is actually the 32-bit application with a 64-bit installer, should be used if you get a warning about video card incompatibility when you install the standard 64-bit version. Based on evidence of the previous release, this may also be an appropriate alternative if you have playback issues or crashes with the standard 64-bit version.

I need help installing iTunes on my new Dell Inspiron with Windows 7.
When I attempt to install iTunes (downloading from the iTunes website) on my new Dell Inspiron with Windows 7, I get the following error message, "This installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package."

When I open Elements 13 I have a message. The monitor profile "Dell S2340L color profile, D65" appears to be defective. I have a new Dell PC with Windows 8.1
You can check if the standard Srgb profile has been change.
Close Elements.
Go to Start menu >> Control Panel >> Color Management.
Click the Devices tab.
From the Device pop-up, select your monitor.
Check the ‘Use my settings for this device’ checkbox.
Make a note of the currently selected profile, which is marked as (default). If there isn’t an existing profile, you can skip this step.
Click the Add button.
In the Associate Color Profile dialog, select sRGB IE61966-2.1 (sRGB Color Space Profile.icm) and press OK.
Back in the Color Management dialog, select the sRGB profile and click Set as Default Profile, and then close the dialog. -
i have a new pc with windows 8, i've downloaded itunes but there is no evidence of it that i can find but when i go to redownload it comes up with 'thanks for downloading itunes'... any help would be appreciated

Ahh.. They changed the Quicktime control panel in QuickTime 7.
There's a couple settings you can mess with. You can toggle the Safe Mode (waveOut) on or off on the Audio Tab. Also, you can click the Select "Audio Playback and Recording Devices" button and change the default device under Sound Playback. One of those might solve the issue.
But this whole problem is nearly always a consequence of having bad or old sound card drivers. Finding an update to the sound card drivers is usually the best way to go. -
New operating system with iphone 5 won't sync itunes
I downloaded the new operating system for my iphone 5, but now it won't let me sync itunes to my iphone 5. A prompt comes up saying that the iphone itunes hasn't been updated to 11.1 or later. When I try to update it on my phone, itunes says its already been done. Please help, any suggestions?

Trying to burn a playlist in itunes and i get this message at the end 'The attempt to burn a disc failed. An nknown error occurred (4450)'. This is with a new Dell laptop running windows 8. The playlist was 17 songs from cd's and itunes. Any ideas?

This is how I managed to fix the problem...and I hope this helps others in the similar situation.
I tried with another program..latest version of Nero, and this was also stopping at the 'initialising' stage. I was now lost! I thought the last resort is to give Evesham (My PC manufacturer) a buzz. They were very helpfull. Basically go into 'Control Panel', 'System', and click on the Hardware tab, then 'Device Manager'. Uninstall everything in the DVD/CDRom Drives. Then uninstall everything under the catagory IDE ATA/Atapi disk controllers. This is where my problem was, as I only had one IDE channel here. You should have 4 or 5! Reboot your machine, and everything will automatically re-load. I tried burning using Nero and it worked. Then the big test was iTunes. It worked 1st time!
I asked why the IDE channels have dissappearred, and he said sometimes uninstalling Programmes occasionally removes them.
I hope this will help others who are having problems to burn stuff on iTunes. -
okay not sure how this works so here i go again.
Okay i bought a dell pc with windows 8 (big mistake) i downloaded itunes and from my external hard drive, right clicked a movie file (in ipad format, because this worked in vista on my old laptop) and it will not go into itunes. And itunes keeps crashing. Is there a glitch with win 8 and itunes ? I never had this prob with vista. I would right click a file and say open with itunes and poof it goes in the library. Please help before i throw this thing out the window! OH newest itunes is what i have installed.Take a look at this MBP, a refurbished unit. Don't let the late 2011 release date put you off. For about $500 less than an equivalent 'new' one with similar specifications you get a quad core CPU and excellent graphics. As Steve359 mentioned, this can be upgraded if the need arises and has the same warranty as a 'new' one
I would not be surprised that these may actually be 'new' MBPs due to the length of time that they have been replaced by the current generation. I purchased a 17" model about 5 weeks ago, and a serial number check suggests that it is 9 weeks old.

Hi. I have set up the trial versions of Photoshop CC 2014 and Lightroom 5.6 (ie the Photography plan) on a desktop that I have added a new drive to with Windows 7. Everything works fine BUT it is an old computer and I'm thinking that it may pack up unexpectedly. These things happen. I want to sign up for the Photography plan but I also have a Windows Vista laptop, and that is old too so I may want to put the apps on a new desktop and a new laptop, having already installed on my desktop. That makes three activations. Am I allowed to do this? Cheers. Paul
You cannot have three activations. It's simply not technically possible. If and when the time comes, you simply deactivate/ sign out on one of the old systems and install on the new one. If the system goes belly up, you contact support to reset your account. No need to make it more complicated than that and overthink it.

I subscribe to my video podcasts but some of them either has a small red E next to them and won't download new content or some just doesn't download new content. I have been watching the Rachael Maddow video podcast for at least a month with no problems. Now suddenly it won't download the last nights show. I have read and followed all troubleshoot and cannot find a solution. I have unsubscribed and re-subscribed to no avail. Can someone help me with this problem?
