New ledger Migration issue: Account contronl on G/L Accounts

We did the Test validation Service report for the migration. There is an error that I can't understand how to solve it.
The purpose:
The classification of G/L accounts for document splitting is based on the assumption that, for example, a reconciliation account is defined as such in all company codes that uses the same chart of accounts. This check is only relevant if document splitting is used.
Issue
You made an item category assignement for a tax account or a reconciliation account for assets, liabilities, receivables, or material stock, and selected the "override" option, which means that your setting defines the behavior of the document splitting. These types of accounts are already categorized internally. Customizing takes place at chart of accounts level. This requires identical uses of accounts in each affected company code. This is note the case in at least one of the types of accounts mentionned.
The tables gave to us is a list of accounts. There account are present into the table T074 Special G/L Transaction.

Hi,
Only service type PO you may assign G/L Account. For item type, you have to change item G/L account determination. It cannot be done through document.

i just bought a quad core Dell computer with Vista 32 bit.
I have been purchasing Audition since the days of Cool Edit 1.2. I thus have upgraded all along and have paid for every version from 1.2 right up to present day Audition 3.0.
How would I go about getting all these versions installed on my new computer- at at the very least 2.0 and 3.0? I bought this computer to do all of my recording and multi tracking on and thus will need to have all the software on this computer. please advise and thank-you.

You purchased the wrong cable. You need FW 9 pin to FW 6 pin.
As for migrating over Ethernet you first need to configure File Sharing on the old iMac and share the old iMac's hard drive by selecting it then press COMMAND-I to open the Get Info window. Check the box labeled Shared Folder.
On the new iMac select Connect to Server from the Finder's Go menu. Click on the Browse button to locate the old iMac as server and connect to it. Log in as a Registered User with the password for the admin account on the old iMac.

New ledger Now..or Classic than migrate later

We are implementing mySAP ERP ECCV.6 and we have to decide verysoon whether we go with newledger or Classic ledger than migrate. We made all the reasearch about the benefits of new GL and we like it. However to minimize the risk involved with going with newledger is there anyone that can answer the following questions:
We would like to know the cost of the migration service package from classic GL to New GL,
- What is the cost of the migration service package available from SAP? and how long would a typical migration from Classic to Newlwdger will take?
- When will SAP stop supporting the Classic GL?
- Any experiences going Bigbang with Newledger ECC 6?
- What is the level of support available from SAP if we go-live with the new ledger? Issues, bugs and speed of resolution.

Migration of balances for new ledger using the New GL

Hi everyone,
I have a specific scenario into this customer where we have implemented the SAP version ECC6.0 with the table FAGLFLEXT is active and using just one ledger (0L - standard). We need to create a new ledger for IFRS (e.g: 1L), as the customer didn´t use the splitting document functionality, it was not purchased the migration services.
Now I need to upload the balances in the accounts into new ledger, I understand that for general accounts there is no problem because I can use the transaction FB01L and specifying the new ledger (1L).
My doubt is : How can I to do the upload balances for open items into the AP and AR accounts?
Anybody can help me?

New ledger and migration

Dear all,
We'll upgrade system from 4.7 to ECC6.0, after upgrade, we would like to activate new ledger, my questions are:
1.Can we see the account balance correctly using FAGLB03? or just can see the balance which occurred in new ledger, this means exclude the old balance.
2.Have we perform migration after new ledger is activated.

Please, check in the migration guide,
there is a reference for setting parameter
FAGL_READ_GLT0_USER in id:
"If you universally deactivate the indicator in
Customizing for reading data from GLT0,
you can still activate the option of reading
data from GLT0 for specific users where required.
You do this using the parameter FAGL_READ_GLT0_USER."
With this parameter you can read information from GLT0 ( classic GL).
So, It's possible but it depends on your migration process.

Use the Office for Mac and ignore using Parallels for that. If you have PC only apps you have to run that are MS Windows only then consider Parallels. Just transfer your main PC, using Migration Assistant. If you don't know how then simply read over Pondini's article called Lion or Mountain Lion Setup Assistant tips and look for the section on migrating from a PC. Millions have done what you are about to, it's far from leading edge these days, if you go to an Apple Store to purchase they will offer this as a service, something you might be interested in.

Yes there is.
1: Log out and into the account you later want to remove.
2: Open your Pictures folder and look for the iPhoto Library.
3: Right or control click on it, a menu appears and choose the option "Show Package Contents", it's really a folder.
4: Find the folder called "Originals", select it and use the Finder menu to Duplicate it.
5: Move the Copy of Originals to the Desktop. Close the window.
6: From the Finder menu, select Go Computer.
7: A window appears with your boot drive, double click it and on the Users folder inside.
8: Select the OTHER users folder and open the folder called Public, inside is a folder called "DropBox"
9: Drag the Copy of Originals to that DropBox folder, it will copy it.
10. Log out and into the other account and access the DropBox folder, your files can then be imported into that iPhoto user Library from within the program itself.

Scope of New GL Migration

Dear Community members,
I am in the midst of preparing a project plan for New GL migration which involves mutiple company codes in multiple geographies. All these company codes are in a same production instance/client.
I would appreciate if members here could provide advice on whether we need to migrate ALL the company codes in the client at the same time. This question is crucial as we need to scope out the resource requirements and timeline. I am also concern of the risks involved if we have many company codes migrated at the same time.
I have read several SAP documentations on this issue and I think there are some inconsistencies in this regard.
In OSS note 1070629, on issue 23 and 25, it does seem to me the requirement is that ALL company codes in the client should be migrated at the same time. The system cannot support or it is not recommended whereby we have a mix of company codes with and without new GL migrated.
However, I have also read the SAP Online Help documentation (Title: Migration to New General Ledger Accounting - Number of Company codes and Clearing Between Them (page 25) - which states that each company code can be migrated separately from the other company codes, provided there are no cross-company code documents.
Your advice on this topic would be much appreciated. Thank you.

As per my knowledge there won't be any effect on Special Purpose Ledger by New GL Migration.
But, the thing is don't use Special Purpose Ledgers to New GL(i.e., Don't use Ledgers Z1 & MLX for Non-Leading Ledgers).
Create New Non-Leading Ledgers for New GL and Use Ledgers Z1 & MLX for Special Purpose Ledger).

New-GL Migration and Upgrade together is possible??

Dear NewGL gurus.
Currently, our customer who uses SAP Enterprise version is
considering to do the upgrade from Enterprise to 6.0
and migration to New-GL at the same time with migration scenario 4.
I knew that "SAP strongly recommends the migration as independent project".
But, as long as I read the documents, it seems possible technically.
So, my questions are
1. If this customer does the upgrade and migration at the same time,
can they take SAP Migration Service from SAP AG properly?
2. SAP mentioned the reasons for this strong recommendation
such as
- 'migration is not only technical transfer'
- 'migration is conceptual change'.
However, I think the same thing can be said for upgrade project as well.
So, is there any other reasons for this recommendation?

Migration Issue - User Folder?

So, I am trying to get my new Mac Pro up and running. Today, I tried to use the Migration Utility to move files from my MacBook Pro.
During the migration, it gave me a weird prompt saying that since my user name is the same on both computers, I have to 'rename' the imported one. Ok, that's fine I thought, and entered a new name.
But once complete, I went into the 'new name' under my users and no folders are accessible -- I can see them, but they all have a red 'minus' in the lower corner of the folder and cannot be opened.
What happened and how to fix it?

There has been some sort of permissions issue when transferring your user account. Repairing permissions won't fix this as it only repairs system files. You could always manually cahnge the permissions, but my advice to you would be to start from scratch. Do a clean install, and give the computer a unique name, or change the user name on your old system. Then use the migration tool to re-import your user account. Sounds like a lot of work, but I guarantee it will save you problems in the future.

Upgrade and using new ledger

Hi,
Our client would like to upgrade their system from 46C to ECC6, I have some questions regarding new ledger.
1. After upgrade, can we use document splitting functionality or have to migrate history data first?
2. How can we see the correct account beginning balance in new GL or have to migrate history data first?
If we need to do migration fisrt, this means we have to ask SAP to help us, it should be a big project.

First of all you should really post this in Itunes forums cause you might get more hits on it.. Anyway.. You can only authorize up to 5 comps on one itunes account.. This does not include iOS devices. Those you can have 10.
So to fix this issue, open itunes, hit store on the left side, click log in (or your e-mail address if you are already logged in) in the top right hard corner of the page. One you log into your account you will see a a little area where it says you authorized 5 out of 5 comps. Below it should be a button to clear all those out. Itunes will de-authorize all computers on the account then you need to go back Store tab in the menu bar and select authorize this computer.
Remember it will deauthorize all your computers, so you need to re-authorize any other computers you have.

Mixed 2007 SP3 R12 and 2013 CU3. 2007 Environment was webmail.domain.com. I installed new Exchange 2013 (1 CAS, 1 Mailbox) according to:

ISSUE 1
Issue: On Machine 1 (reference above) Windows Security prompt that says "Connecting to
[email protected]". Almost always prompts when Outlook is first opened. Afterwards (if it goes away) seemingly random on when it asks for it. I put in the credentials (absolutely correct) and it fails and prompts again.
I always check the box for it to save the password. To get rid of it, I click the Cancel button at which Outlook reports "NEED PASSWORD", but still acts fine sending and receiving emails. Eventually the "NEED PASSWORD" sometimes changes
to say "CONNECTED", but it works regardless.
No issues on Machine 2 so I don't know where the problem might be as there are a lot of variables in play here.
ISSUE 2
Migrated user is unable to open Public folders from Exchange 2007.
Cannot expan the folder. Microsoft Exchange is not available. Either there are network problems or the Exchange server is down for maintenance. (/o=...).
This error occurs on Machine 1, Machine 2 and from OWA, same error each time.
ISSUE 3
Apps. Installed by default are 4 apps (Bing Maps, Suggested Meetings, Unsubscribe, Action Items). I have made sure the apps are enabled in OWA and they show up in mail items on both Machine 1 (Outlook 2013) and OWA. They do not show up in Machine 2 (Outlook
2010). I'm assuming that isn't supported.
In OWA, when I go to the installed apps listing it shows all of the apps but has a broken link on the image describing the app.
When I click the app in either Outlook 2013 or in OWA, I get "APP ERROR, Sorry we can't load the app. Please make sure you have network and/or internet connectivity. Click "Retry" once you're back online.
Current workaround is just disabling them through OWA.

In order to avoid confusion, we troubleshoot a issue per thread usually.
For your first isue, I agree with Ed's suggestion to check if your certificate name is correct.
Besides, I recommend you change ExternalClientAuthenticationMethod from Basic authentication to Negotiate authentication to check the result.
