New Persistent Unit Jdeveloper 11.1.2.3.0

Hello friends,
I am trying to add another persistent unit to my EJB project I have already mapped the tables from DB1 I would like to map tables to entities from another DB to the same EJB project
I've seen in the persistent.xml the icon to add another persistent, I add it (it asks me to set an offline DB connection, well I do it) then I go to the create entities from tables wizard I choose an online DB connection to another DB and try to map the tables to entities
but no sucess, the persisent.xml the <class>siedocejb.entidades.ACAulaXCurso</class> are duplicated in all of the entities
It creates the new persistent but not the new entities

How can I add the new entities?

Hi,
sounds like an IDE bug to me if this doesn't work for entities of different names (note that in the end its the entity manager that determines the connection, which means that the IDE probably doesn't distinguish the entity names if they are the same). If you have a support contract I suggest you follow up with Oracle support to have a service request filed. Alternatively, you manually create the entities for the information to read from the second database.

I'm quite happy the JDeveloper behaves the way it does. Why? Because in most of my scenarios I don't want to be driven in a particular direction of development. This my choice of development and I don't like tools that dictate this to me.

Can not add new program unit in form

We have a form developed using developer 6i in which we can not add new program units. If new program unit is added and form is saved and closed then after opening the form again, newly added program unit can not be seen in object navigator as well as it can not be found using search. Such form fails to compile as the calls for new program unit exists but the program unit is lost. The problem persists even if another copy of form is made using Save As option.
What could be the reason of this problem?

Hmmm... I have never had the problem. Two forms I have been working on lately are 1808 KB and 1424 KB. This is their compiled-and-saved size. Their "cleaned up" size is 792 KB and 604 KB.

New Operating Unit creation - GL or HRMS

Dears,
Please i ve a great doubt, please advice which is right approach....
Using General Ledger -Accounting Setup manager under Primary ledger there is a option to create new Operating unit by attaching LE and BG.
If i do so i get new OU and my other sub modules in Financials(AP,AR,CM.FA) are operational ...
using HRMS - organization i can designate any Company organization as Operating unit,so that New operating unit would be created this way also.
Kindly advice which is the best way to create new Operating Unit...
and also in Projects implementation setup ...starting organization LOV represent OU from HRMS or org Hierarchy...

I create 3 OUs this using GL > Accounting Setup Manager ... under the primary Ledger (by attaching LE and BG).....but I am not able to find/search that in HR under Work structures > Organization > Description. Although it is available in the LOV while defining the profile option "MO: Operating Unit" ....and it is present in the Database table '*hr_all_organization_units*' too with the 'Type' column as empty (ideally it should be 'OU').
It makes me feel that in any case I would have to create the OU in HR as a mandatory setup!....am I correct?

First, let me confirm that you are on JDE World, and not JDE Enterprise One/One World. They are very different environments. JDE World is normally a green screen, IBM Client Access based system.
If you are on a JDE World menu and you have the proper security access, just type in UDC on the command line and hit <ENTER>. You hopefully are in a test environment when you do this, since it sounds like you have very little knowledge of JDE. The UDC screen will come up. If you know the system code and code of the UDC table you want to look at, you can key them in and bring up that table. Otherwise, do F5. That will let you search by system code and see what table codes are available in each system. If you are not sure what UDC table you need, you can look at the JDE data dictionary for the data item you are interested in and that will tell you the UDC table, if the data item is UDC based.
As for setting up new business units and company, get to the main general ledger menu. Don't remember the exact path, but you want to get into the setup/define menu for general ledger accounts. There will be separate options there for maintaining companies and for maintaining business units. You want to play with this in a test environment before you do anything for real.

Can we configure the new time unit in invoicing plan in OM7R

SAP has provided the four time units in Define Rules for Date Determination (OM7R) which are 1- Day, 2-Week, 3-Month and 4-Year, I wanted to have the new time unit like "Quarterly" and "Half Yearly".
Would somebody guide me on this how to get these new value?

Error message after creating new responsibitiy on new Operating Unit

Steps to Reproduce:
1- Add new Legal entity
2- Adding new operating unit from (define organization) with the organization classifications :
a. HR Organization
b. Operating Unit
c. Company Cost Center
3- Run the request “Replicate Seed Data”
4- Adding the new Operating Unit in company all Operating units security profile
5- Adding the security profile for the new Operating unit
6- run the request "Security List Maintenance” for “, ALL_PROFILES, , , ALL, , ,”
7- Create new responsibility
8- In profile option at the responsibility level add the operating unit and the security profile for the new responsibility
9- Add the new responsibility to an existing user
10- the Error "AP_FINAP_NOT_DEFINED" appearing when try to open any form

Reassignment to new Org.Unit & Position

Hello Everyone,
I have a requirement to reassign a Business Partner (Associated with Central Person) to a new org.unit & a new position in the organizational Model. This should be done using a FM. I would like to know if there are any FM's which can be used to reassign a BP from one Org.Unit to Different Org.Unit and a differént position.
I am able to create the relationship using FM *OM_CREATE_RELATION_WITH_DIALOG*. But relationship has to be reassigned to different org.unit & position. Let me know if any one you can help me with.

Hi,
You can generate the required report from reporting tool HIS. select the org structure for which you want the report to be generated.
In the graphical view select the org unit and in the reporting window select organizational plan and select staff assignment as task function.

New Organizational Unit Code

Dear Folks,
I want to create a new Organizational Unit code for a rollout project.
For Example, the current company organization unit say 500000000 - Pepsi Corporation Limited and now I need to create a new company code and for that company code I need the Organizational Unit as 6000000 - India Beverages.

First check whether u are maintaining number ranges if yes then create new no. ranges for org unit and proceed with creating.
ask fi/co people to create company code and then you can assign credentials as per your requirement.

Adding New Org Units to Existing Organization Structure

There is a change in the Org Structure, i.e we are adding new Org Units(Personnel Sub areas) to the existing Structure and creating postions to the newly created Org Units using PP01. Now my question is what are all things need to be configured with respect to Payroll, for the newly created PSA.

Please be more clearer. PSAs are not org units. PSA belong to enterprise structure, whereas Org Unit belong to Org Structure. When you create new positions under the Org Units tht have been assigned to a PSA, PA, Company Code, Cost Center and Controlling area combination, you would have to set the following.
Group your PSA for,
Primary Wage Types
Premium
Work Schedule
Time Recording
Absence Attendence Type.
Assign Tax Area to a PSA(If it is US Payroll).
Any more suggestions from experts?

Sorry about the lost iPod.
In order to load my existing iTunes library on to the new Nano, do I just simply place the iPod in the cradle and sync? I am scared to just do this, in case I lose the library.
If you're speaking of the iTunes library's safety, you'll be perfectly fine. iTunes would only delete songs off your iPod (if there currently are songs ont he iPod), and iTunes would never delete anything from it's library unless you did it yourself.
Basically, the iTunes-to-iPod transfer is one-way; you can't directly transfer your iPod songs to iTuens, nor does a new iPod affect your iTunes library.
Most likely, when you connect your new iPod to your computer, iTunes will simply begin to update your new iPod, downloading songs from the iTunes library onto your iPod.

To Create New Storage Unit Automatically

Hi all,
I need some info for creating storage bin. I have a material with 100 KG in a storage unit XYZ. And i want to move 20 KG of 100 KG to new storage unit.
First i call BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE with movement type 311 with new quant 20 KG to create a new storage unit. After that i call L_TO_CREATE_POSTING_CHANGE for transfer posting.
But it does no effect to material. It have 311 movement successfully but than it puts the 20 KG to the same storage unit XYZ. How can i move it to a new storage unit ?

If you only want to do a WM transfer (manually with LT01), you can use L_TO_CREATE_SINGLE.

the basis guy should be able to help.
at a higher level: you need to set authorizations to the roles assigned, the transaction code is pfcg.
you may create a new role with the required authorization and assign to the relevant users.

Hi archana,
U can Create a role through Transaction PFCG.
Just create a role and assign the tcode PPOCA_CRM if u want to give the user just only this authorization otherwise u can select the menu list from sap menu and assign this role to that user.
Another way is if that user already exist in that system then just assign that particular transaction codr with that user.
