Whenever I open a new Firefox Browser, the other Firefox Browsers that I have minimized to the bottom of the screen all restore, (reopen up) onto the screen with the new opened Firefox Browser, how do I stop this? Just want the new one to open on screen and the existing stay minimized.
== This happened ==
Every time Firefox opened
== I think when a I updated or downloaded a newer version of FireFox at Firefox's suggestion.Hmm that does sound a bit strange - I use a system quite similar to yours (XP, FF 3.6.3), and don't see this behaviour.
I would recommend trying to start Firefox in Firefox [[Safe Mode]] (make sure you close '''all''' running Firefox instances first), and see if this problem persists.
If not, it could be some add-on causing this behaviour - restart Firefox in Safe Mode, disable all add-ons, and enable them one by one to find the guilty one.
If it still happens in Firefox Safe Mode, some other program (or something in Windows itself) most likely is the cause. We may be able to help with this too, so let us know what works and provide as much additional information as possible to let us help you solve this.
Please let us know how above works out, and if we can be of further assistance. Detailed feedback is appreciated and helps us to help you better, plus enables us to better help other users with similar issues. -
When I try to launch Firefox from the old drive the bookmarks are not available to export to an html file. Firefox probably recognizes I have 2 copies of Firefox on the same computer. Once I retrieve bookmarks and data files. I will reformat the old drive.
tried Firefox Sync? It's awesome! Switch computers and even on other operting system & it saves open tabs, pwords, history. Try it http://mzl.la/aHHUYA

I hate the new flat Firefox icon; how do I change it back to the nice 3d one?
With the upgrade to Firefox 23, you've changed the Firefox icon to a new flat design. It's horrible; I hate it; it looks awful. I want to change it back to the old swish looking 3D style icon. How do I do this please? I'm on Windows 7 64bit.
This page has .png files of old logo 128*128 works well:
https://blog.mozilla.org/faaborg/2009/06/18/the-new-firefox-icon/
Use this page to convert to .ico file:
http://www.convertico.com/
Save the created icon to local computer.
Then download this and use to replace icon, you need to load your FF application, change appropriate icons, and save. FF can not be running when you save.
Also go to desktop and taskbar, right click icon, go to properties, and change icon.

New to Firefox. How do I save file from download window?
I choose "save file." Get download window. Thereupon right click options are open and remove. I don't want to open.
BEWARE!!! I, too, downloaded the toolbar, and shortly after, I realized I had been scammed.I immediately ran a scan on my computer after uninstalling the toolbar and found 4 infected files. I also reported the perpetrator to craigslist, so hopefully these people can be stopped!

How can I arrange bookmarks in a grid format instead of a vertical line?
Windows has a IE Favorites folder, containing favorite websites, and all of these favorite website folders and links can be viewed in a grid format (spread horizontally and vertically). Firefox Bookmarks: I can only get to display in a very long vertical line. Is there an internal file folder containing all of my Firefox Bookmarks? And if so, can I display them in a grid? Thx.
Sorry, no there is no way to arrange or view bookmarks in multiple columns or a grid built into Firefox.
Bookmarks aren't stored in a folder in Windows like with IE, they are stored in a database file named '''places.sqlite''', along with browsing history and downloads history.
There have been a couple of different extensions available over the years that did display bookmarks in multiple columns, but those extensions were short lived and never were really finished before the developer lost interest and stopped working on them.
Suggestion - folders within folders will spread out to the right, somewhat in a "columns fashion" across the screen. But with the current placement of the bookmarks button I don't know how well that would work; I haven't even tried it out. Personally, I have used the Bookmarks Sidebar for viewing my bookmarks since I started using Firefox in 2002. -

My old computer crashed. Fortunately I had Carbonite and was able to restore my data to a new computer, but I have not been able to import or restore or transfer my bookmarks.
I went Bookmarks/Show All Bookmarks/Import & Backup, then tried both "Restore." The Restore showed several dated backups but in spite of the message "This will replace all your current bookmarks" it did not. Next time around I tried: "Import Bookmarks from HTML." But I could not find where the the bookmark folder was located. The reason behind the above questions is that, if you started Firefox before restoring your backup, you probably have a differently named settings folder (Firefox profile folder).
I'm going to assume for the moment that your Carbonite restore used the same folder paths you had on your old Windows 7/Windows Vista computer. If it was a Windows XP computer, the following won't lead you to the right place.
To find other settings folders, try the following. From within Firefox:
Help > Troubleshooting Information > "Show Folder" button
This is your currently active folder. Navigate up a level to the Profiles folder. Do you see other folders? Do any of them have recent .json backups in their bookmarkbackups folders? This would be where to point the Restore dialog to get your bookmarks. -
How could I arrange control images in a report?
I appended 4 control images to a report using Append Control Image to Report. I wanted to lay two of these images in the first line and the other two in the second line. But the result of my program was one image in one line. (BTW, I did not use any New Report Line). How could I arrange control images?
Mike is right, unless the images are too wide, the report VIs will put them next to each other on the same line.
Please find the attached example that appends two charts on the HTML report. Open the .htm file with the web browser. If you make the browser window smaller, the charts will move one below the other.

On Firefox 4, how can I put one "new tab" on the "tab bar" (The + sign) and one next to the "back/forward" buttons (as in FF 3.6)?
In my current Firefox, the "new tab" icon/item from the "customize" pop-up window menu of items is placed next to my home, back, forward buttons near the top-left of my header (Button 1 for "new tab"). Then, the tab bar automatically come with a small tab (with a + sign) to the right of your last tab opened (so you click on + and a new tab opens. Button 2 for "new tab"). I like to have this "new tab" button twice (as a + mini tab, and next to my "home icon".
When I upgraded to Firefox 4, I seemed to be only able to "customize" or use the "new tab" in one place. Either as an icon next to home button, or as a "+ minitab", but NOT both.
What can I do to put this button in Firefox 4 on BOTH places???
Your help is really appreciated. I want to upgrade, but I want my buttons on both places...
I upgraded to FF 4, but downgraded again just because this feature... that's just me of coarse :-)*New tab toolbar button: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/new-tab-toolbar-button/

I have the previous version of my Firefox from an old computer now located on my C drive. I would like to move the bookmarks, cookies, history and settings to my new Firefox (it is an upgraded version on my new computer). When I click on the File drop down, the import section can not be opened because it is not active. I have dozens of bookmarks that I would like to have loaded in my new Firefox application. I would also like to have my passwords moved to the new Foxfire application. How do I get that to happen?
