Newb: Need to add certain entries (SUMIF ?)

Hi,
I'm pretty new to spreadsheets...
I'm trying to work out my expenditure on various items under various headings.
Column A contains my expenditure headings: Food, fuel, leisure.
Column B contains the amount I spent.
As I enter in my data in column A the order is totally random:
Food
Food
Leisure
food
fuel
Leisure
food
etc.
How can I add up all the 'Food' items into one cell without actually changing the order in column A and making a total under the last 'Food' entry?

Hi Adam,
Welcome to the Numbers discussion. I have named the main table "Data" and added a separate table for the totals. Each table has a Header Row, but has no Header Column. Your expense type is in Column A and your expense amount is in Column B of the data table. In the totals table, your Header row contains the expense types. Your expression for the totals, in Row 2 of the totals table is:
=SUMIF(Data :: $A, "="&A1, Data :: $B) Paste this expression into A2 and fill across all your expense types.

You would make entries in the Back to My Mac field if you want to be able to access your AirPort base station or an attached AirPort Disk from a remote location.
Back to My Mac (BTMM) requires both an Apple ID and an iCloud account from Apple.

How to add the entries and how to delete the entries from custom Z-table?

Hi Experts,
My requirement is I need to add the entries from program to three custom z-tables . Assume as zabc1,zabc2,zabc3.
Here how to add the entries from program to Z-table.???
And one more requirement is I want to provide a deletion checkbox in selection screen . Initial it was unchecked. If I am giving tick mark then the entries should be deleted from above custom Z-tables. this all will done in backgroung job?
Could you please guide me the logic how to crack this???

Hi Sanjana,
What you can do is to use the ABAP keyword INSERT or MODIFY to add or modify records to a given database table. Here are the syntax taken from SAP documentation:
*Insert Statement
INSERT dbtab
Syntax
INSERT { {INTO target VALUES source }
| { target FROM source } }.
Effect
The INSERT statement inserts one or more rows specified in source in the database table specified in target. The two variants with INTO and VALUES or without INTO with FROM behave identically, with the exception that you cannot specify any internal tables in source after VALUES.
System Fields
The INSERT statement sets the values of the system fields sy-subrc and sy-dbcnt.
sy-subrc Meaning
0 At least one row was inserted.
4 At least one row could not be inserted, because the database table already contains a row with the same primary key or a unique secondary index.
The INSERT statement sets sy-dbcnt to the number of rows inserted.
Note
The inserted rows are finally included in the table in the next database commit. Up until this point, they can still be removed by a database rollback.
*Modify Statement
MODIFY dbtab
Syntax
MODIFY target FROM source.
Effect
The MODIFY statement inserts one or several lines specified in source in the database table specified in target, or overwrites existing lines.
System fields
The MODIFY statement sets the values of the sy-subrc and sy-dbcnt system fields.
sy-subrc Meaning
0 At least one line is inserted or changed.
4 At least one line could not be processed since there is already a line with the same unique name secondary index in the database table.
The MODIFY statement sets sy-dbcnt to the number of processed lines.
Note
The changes are transferred finally to the database table with the next database commit. Up to that point, they can be reversed using a database rollback.

5) then press save .

Can not add more entries in feature ABKRS

Dear Expert,
This is very strange and gives me a real headache because it's supposed to be very simple. I have feature ABKRS that queries TCLAS, MOLGA, PERSG, and finally BUKRS. I need to add more entries in BUKRS field but I can't. The value of BUKRS that I choose is not displayed on the list and I've tried several times since yesterday with no result. Is this a bug or what ?

Eg:
DATA date LIKE sy-datum.
DATA days TYPE i.
date = sy-datum.

date = date + days.
WRITE date.

I feel like I bug u to much... but I needs to hide columns and rows so I needs to add a ID attribute to a TD cell tag or a report region, report.
I tried adding Column Attributes: CSS Class: myclass - it only affects the column text
do I use "Element Attributes" or "Element Option Attributes" if so how?

Need to add new cameras to Camera Raw in PS CS2 (not ready to update to CS6 yet). Can do... how?

Windows Vista-64, CS2 Photoshop and Illustrator. CS2 works well for what I do... don't need to update yet. Need to add Canon 5D Mark2. When try to open Raw files, get error message: Photoshop says it can't complete the request because it isn't the right kind of document. I believe this means that the camera is not recognized. Current DNG Converter is 3.7. Would like to add Raw support for all newer cameras, so able to work with files from virtually any customer.

I use camera raw to make preliminary color/brightness/contrast adjustments then save as 16-bit RGB file... then final adjustments in Photoshop. If I can add (for example) DNG Converter 8.2, to simply allow the CR2 image to open, then I don't need any other features. What I gain be upgrading to CS6 is additional functionality in Photoshop... no doubt I will be very glad when I do, but meanwhile I only need camera raw as a preliminary step in my workflow.
Not brain surgery... whatever additional functionality is available in Canon 5d mark 2 that is not in Canon 5d is unnecessary for my purposes now. Is there a reason that Adobe would not allow adding 5d mk2 (even if not all functionality is enabled)?
Ideally, I would hope to download DNG Converter 8.2, install it in my Photoshop CS2, and continue with my normal workflow process. Adobe could easily create a warning that "some functionality provided in certain newer camera files is not available, recommend upgrading to CS6." Just makes sense to support users as long as possible rather than force the upgrade.

Flash CS5 Newbie - Need help adding URL link to animated banner

I apologize if this is a very basic question, but I am a newbie at designing in Flash. I have created a basic animation in Flash CS5 and I need to add a clickable URL link to it. I've tried a few tutorials that looked promising, but none of them solved my problem. I've tried a number of things including converting parts or all of the images to simple buttons or movies and linking them that way as well as typing in code for ActionScript 2 and 3, none of which were successful. The animation plays correctly when viewed in my browser, but when I click on it, the link does not work. I would prefer that the entire banner be clickable to take viewers to the linked website rather than using hyperlinked text. Also, when I open the Code Snippets window, it is empty, no matter what image or frame I've selected. Do I need to import code snippets from somewhere or am I simply going about things the wrong way? Any help is greatly appreciated!

It all depends whether you're decisively using AS2.0 or AS3.0 .
In the latter, you would need to use a URLRequest() method in conjunction with a navigateToUrl() call (not sure the exact syntax for navigate to Url, it might be a capitalized "URL" in the method but the request takes a String argument such as http://www.adobe.com)

This works for certain entries - why?

im trying to find out the largest number/age but it only works for a certain set of data for some reason.
I tested it with ordinary numbers (no objects created) in a seperate program and it works fine but not this one :-/

THEN I want the same thing to happen for all OTHER

objects ageDon't you want to compare the age ONLY IF the programmer is the same language as the first programmer? If you compare the age to all programmers, you will get the oldest programmer, not the oldest programmer of a specific language. Then, if your oldest programmer is not the specified language, nothing will display.
That's why you need to add a check for the same language before you check to see if the programmer is older.
For example, P1 and P2 are Java programmers. P1 has 5 years of experience, P2 has 10 years. P3 and P4 are VB programmers. P3 has 6 years and P4 has 9 years. So running your code with P1's pn will find that P2 is the oldest programmer and since P2 is a Java programmer, your code will show P2. Running with P3's pn will find that P2 is the oldest programmer, but since P3 is VB and P2 is Java, nothing will display.

Need to add row and set attribute value on pageload

On my page based on the pageflowscope variable value, i need to add a row for master and one row for detail viewobject and set attribute values. (Some of the attribute are LOV and Checkboxes as well)
I am using following code to create records.....records are being added but i am not able to set the attributes

Yes commit button is there and yes its also has entry in pagedef...
When I open the same page on edit mode and i can edit regular record and save them
Problem is that when i open the page on new mode and try to add rows on page load..... and setting values as described above.... save button somehow doesn't work...
seems like after i add the rows on the fly, i need to refresh the binding?

create a ztable in se11 .
add fields and data entries finish all those work there.
and in the copied std pgm
add select-options: s_new_f1 for ztable-f1.
or u can also use parameters: p_f1 type ztable-f1.
under : at selection-screen output.
<perform select query operation for the new ztable.>
select singe * from table ztable wa_ztable where f1 = p_f1.
so that the new field willl also come along with the standard output.

Need to add contact with 2 email addresses

I have a contact in my address book for whom I need to add 2 email addresses in the same field. I know I can add multiple addresses, but that gets confusing for this contact, because I need to send every email to him at both addresses. I tried adding both addresses in the same field, separated by both a comma and a semicolon, and when I tried to sent the message Mail told me it was an invalid address. Is there any way to do this?

There is no reason why you should not be able to enter both addresses in the Address Book as two separate addresses on the same contact card (e.g. "home" and "work") and when typing in the To: field of a Mail message, start entering as one address at a time. If the addresses exist in Address Book or previous recipients list, each will "quick fill". After first is entered (as a "bubbled" address), enter a comma then start entering second address. If either address is not in Address Book or previous recipient list, separate each entry with comma and spacebar while typing.
If launching Address Book as a helper application from within the Mail application, single-click each email address (not the name) and either drag each, one at a time, to the To: field or click the To: button in Address book helper app. Repeat with other address. You can't snag 'em both at once.
I just tried all of the above so these methods work here.
