Newsletter signup option

Here is a basic one I would hope could be implemented very soon... I'd like to see the option to include a BC newsletter signup button when creating a web form in Muse.

Yes, BC is a great option. We use it for all our clients.
Conversly, if you're not using BC, then let's start with who are you using for the outbound newsletter? Constant Contact? Mail Chimp?
Either one of those should have a "sign-up" form you can embed into the Muse site.

    I am working with a client who has a 3rd party online store, but their website is hosted on BC platform. I need to provide the newsletter signup form code to the other dev team so they can recreate the form to allow customers to signup for the newsletter while shopping in the the new online store. Is there any documentation on this? It seems that the .js files are BC specific.
    The form is making a call to "/CampaignProcess.aspx?ListID=27563". This does not exist on the site and the 3rd party developer needs access to that actual aspx file or have the full URL path?

  • Newsletter sending options

    I've done a search on this board, but I wasn't able to find a satisfactory answer to my question. I am trying to send out my monthly e-newsletter, created in Pages, to my clients. I don't want it to come up as an attachment, but rather in the body of the email. I have tried exporting it into Safari, but that takes out my pictures, and jumbles the rest of the document up.
    There must be some way to do this. How is everybody else doing it?

    I would like to share what Tara and I found out during the past days.
    First, just to say "create a page in iWeb, publish it, open it in Safari and send Contents" is a bit of oversimplification.
    As I wrote in some other posting, an iWeb created page looks great in Safari and Mail -- but only on your computer.
    Well, to cut a long story short, here's a recipe that finally worked:
    Create your newsletter page in iWeb,
    but only use the Blank page provided in each of the (new) templates.
    Only use text boxes and images,
    don't use Inset Margins, don't use list indentation if you don't want to use a list. You cannot place objects freely with text floating around but only place an object left or right.
    Don't use "exotic" fonts and font sizes.
    I got best results with Arial, Helvetica, Times. It's probably the best to use only fonts in the PDF section of the Font select window.
    Only use font sizes listed in the font size list. For example, Arial in 15pt did not come through properly, while the "default" values 14pt and 18pt worked.
    Publish you page to a server.
    This way the images are available to others that don't have access to the files on your computer.
    Here are now the "standard" steps usually suggested:
    Open the page in Safari.
    Hit command-i to "Send Contents of This Page".
    Send the page that appears in Mail.app

  • Subscription tile Optional remote custom dialog URL

    Hi All,
    we have finally managed to sort out our subscription error with the infinate spinning issue.
    But now we have put back in a URL to open up a newsletter signup after the subsciption has gone through. The page opens up, but it doesnt not load with the normal in app browser window, so once you filled out the details you cant get back into the app?
    Is this normal?

  • E-mail signup web form - Error message

    My index page has a newsletter signup web form. The workflow attached works, but when a user enters their e-mail and clicks "submit" they get an error message. I used a bc gurus template and this is the one thing I cannot find, how to change the link of the submit button or fix the confirmation. url is thesoleconnectionllc.com

    It is a module inserted basic implementation.
    It allows for drag and drop ordering which will update the form and any changes and new additions will update the form - which is what is happening in your case.
    ID's etc changing have no baring on what is happening.
    But what your saying... I am not sure your seeing what your saying. Even in this case I do can not replicate what your doing.
    This is a test form:
    The ID is - CAT_Custom_19956061
    I can edit auto responder, I can add new fields, I can save and update the form in the admin, go into another part of the admin and come back - the ID for this field NEVER changes. The Script ID etc in the html of course updates if I make changes this never changes.
    The ONLY way this changes is if I delete and remake the field.
    So you need to make a BC support ticket. Your either doing something critical like removing and re-adding the form fields and not stating that here or, for what ever reason on that site only there is an issue.

    Trying to add a form for visitors to a site allowing them to

    tutorial for this task. The dreamweaver side is basic enough but I
    guess I will have to make stuff happen at the server side as well
    which is not my area of expertise.
    Also the site owner is a non techie and she will need to

    The first suggestion you'll receive from most here is to clean up your code

    Also, you may have quicker results changing to a HTML Transitional doctype.

  • Pagemaker or Indesign for newsletter

    I'm evaluating Pagemaker and Indesign to replace Microsoft Publisher, which we currently use for our quarterly newsletters.  Our requirements aren't very sophisticated.  We just need a couple things:
    1) Newsletter template options
    2) Ability to publish to HTML (preferrable)
    3) Compatible with both PCs and MACs
    What would you recommend?  Also, what is the best way for me to get up to speed with either program?

    Pagemaker is dead. InDesign is the only way to go. Pagemaker will not run at all on any newer Mac and will be a complete crapshoot on anything newer than WinXP.
    CS5 does not ship with templates.

  • Different machines different looks?

    situation is:
    i have been editing a project on a MacBookPro for a while. all previews stored with the project on an external drive.
    i set up a new iMac machine (27'' Retina) and pick up the project where it's left.
    project opens up. previews are loaded and everything looks just right.
    clips having color correction effects (third party and premiere's own effects) but as soon as anything needs to be rendered again for any reason (line turns red from green), the look changes completely (goes way darker).
    investigating onwards, i found out that indeed, when exporting from timeline (not using previews), this dark look is what comes out in the exports.
    so in a way i'm relaxed because i know - what i see is what i get, then again what does it all mean? does it make any sense?

    There's alot more to it, honestly. This particular issue is
    related to the
    width of the container in which all of those tabs are placed,
    and the
    aggregate widths of the tabs within that container. When the
    text is
    resized, the container is now too narrow to contain all of
    the tabs, so the
    newsletter one breaks to the next line.
    That's life on the web. Can you do anything about it? Use
    graphics for the
    tabs would be one way to manage that.

    Just renewed my contract and have got a home hup 3 to replace faulty home hub 2, should bt provide me with a phone? When you look at the signup options webpage they show a picture of home hub 3 and a phone.

    the HH3 does not support voip like the HH2 nor can it be used like a dect base station so don't think there is a phone that goes with the HH3

    This can be done from hosting platform end. If you are using Business Catalyst to host your site , then you can use events module, campaign subscriptions , secure zone subscriptions etc.
    You can create the events/announcements on BC end and then add the module in Muse page which on publish will show the modules on page.

    I can explain you the details there is a list as you mentioned Newsletter with a column email in it you are right but for your answer ya i can use enforce unique values for that column but if i am using it it gives me an error in the next page what i want
    is just beside my text box to say that already registered user.I want that functionality that is what i meant.

  • Use document as newsletter in email

    I know I can do this with Constant Contact or MailChimp but they don't offer me a lot of design options.
    What I'd like to do it with Pages in the design mode make a fantastic 1 page newsletter and somehow embed it in an email and send out to clients.  I did some research on google and I kept reading that with a PDF or Pages you can't guarentee that if you put it in an email, when the recipient opens the email that the PDF will automatically be open.  Some email programs might just list it as an attachment and the reader would have to click on it to open it.
    I'm guessing that if you need that extra step of clicking on it to open it, at least 1/2 the people won't bother.
    So how is it that MailChimp, Aweber, or Constant Contact when you get an email newsletter from someone that uses them it is open in your email.  Is that done with html?
    I just hate how uncreative the various email services templates are.

    The html email is the way it is because the huge variety of email clients out there, particularly the PC email clients are so varied in their ability to display content so they need to hit a fairly low common denominator.
    If you want it to work that's just the way it is.
    Mail Chimp is not that bad, surely you can work with that?
    Design is always a challenge, it is up to you to rise to it.
