Newspaper web pages crash on iPad 2

I used to be able to read certain newspapers on my iPad 2 but lately some of them started crashing as soon as the page has loaded.
This happens also with newspapers where I am a paying subscriber.
Any suggestions? Thanks

You could try restoring the iPad to Factory Settings (which will reload the iOS Operating System S/W):

  • Charged 3 Times(Web page crashed)

Hi, and welcome to the community!
If you check your subscriptions page you should find the renewal date is in 3 months time.
If it is not, you can submit an online contact form; someone at Spotify can sort this out for you.
Once you get an automated reply; make sure to reply to it directly (even if it's from a no reply); and it will be sent to the Spotify staff.

My credit card was charged 3 times but I only made 1 account the other two I never finished. I got to the college verification and then the Web page crashed and I had to start over. So I don't know if the other 2 accounts finished and they will keep charging me month to month. I would like to make one account and get charged for once. Is there anyway to fix it and get refunded or make that my next 2 month payments.

  • Web pages crash while browsing in safari

Web pages continue to crash even after trying a factory reinstall.

Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Data. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Or ....Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Or ....Quit all apps completely and restart the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.

  • Is there a way to view only desktop versions of web pages on the iPad?

Samsung galaxy a smaller actual mobile has the option to do this.. I've seen this question before and some people were wrong in saying that its up the programming discretion of the host website. It doesn't work for every site on my galaxy but it does for majority of pages I try it on. This tablet screen resolution and processor should allow any and every web page to be fine with viewing desktop versions and not limited mobile versions. This is why I try to tell my friends Apple is amazing but they aren't superior to all others. It's like being a sheltered kid who finished school and is working for his dads company (apple ) vs being out in the real world  (windows)
    I digress..
Is there an app I can download or some way I can program my iPad myself so it only opens desktop versions and gets flash player ? Also if anyone knows any websites where I can teach myself programming codes and mods that would really help also. Thanks

There are third-party browser apps that have settings within them to identify themselves as full browsers e.g. Atomic Web, and I believe the iCab Mobile browser also does (I don't have it so i can't check)
iCab indeed does allow for that

  • HT2822 How do I show a web page from my iPad on my tv?

I am trying to sync my iPad 3 with my tv using apple tv so I can see whatever is on my iPad on my tv screen - I have managed photos but I can't get web pages? Can anyone help ?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
When displaying the content you wish to mirror on the iPad 3, double tap the home button (quickly) and swipe the bottom row of apps to the right to reveal the playback controls, tap the AirPlay icon and select your Apple TV from the list of available devices.

  • Can't get to iCloud web page on iPhone, iPad

Set up iCloud and it's syncing and pushing everything as expected. Have no problem getting to the iCloud web page on my Mac (using Safari), but when I try to get to the web interface on an iPhone or iPad, I'm always just redirected to the iCloud "Hot to set up iCloud" page. I'm never able to reach the log-in page.
Are others able to sign in to the web iCloud page thru their iDevices?

Learned on another forum that that's the intended behavior. On iDevices you just use iCloud as a service, you don't interact with it.
Would be nice of Apple to make that clearer, rather than just sending all iDevices to page of instructions...

  • Why does it take so long to load a web page on my iPad

Why does it take so long to load a web page on my new ipad wifi

This is probably not a problem with the iPad, but with the wi-fi. If your internet connection and/or wi-fi speeds are slow, then loading web pages will be slow. If I was you, I would research different kinds of wireless routers to find the fastest one in your price range, and also research different kinds of modems.

  • When attempting to access a specific web page on my iPad, the page seems to load then quickly disappears (resembling a white/black we page). Other sites seem fine. Note this is also occurring when I use Chrome (to access the same page).

When attempting to access a specific web site on my iPad http://www.sggplastering.co.uk the page seems to load then quickly disappears (resembling a white web page). Other sites seem fine.

Thanks so much for addressing my question. Note that the site (www.xula.edu) was working with Safari this morning, but not this afternoon. I also have now been able to access it with Chrome (remember I could not access the site with Chrome initially). Essentially one time while the site was loading on Chrome I clicked another link on the site and opened a new tab for the link- the original page then loaded and now continues to load. I've been trying to do the same with Safari but the page loads and "goes to white" to quickly.
Other notes: I've powered off my iPad (did not help) and restarted my iPad (also did not help). I can also access all other links (to other www.xula.edu related pages on the site using Safari - I find them via a google search)- it's just the home page that loads then goes to "white screen" very quickly. Thanks again for your reply - any help/advice provided is greatly appreciated.

  • Loading a web page crashes Acrobat X

Acrobat X Pro (10.1.3) stops working after loading a web page - ANY page.  No explanation is given.

    > Your question is not much clear to me. Are your trying to create a PDF from Webpage ? Or Acrobat stops after loading any webpage. Which is the webpage you are trying to access?
Seems perfectly clear to me.  I am using Acrobat - Create from webpage.  The programme loads the page elements and then, before anything is displayed, stops working.
My preferred browser is Opera, but I am not using it for this purpose, merely copying and pasting the address into Acrobat.
I can print to PDF from the browser, but that achieves the wrong result, as the links cease to work.
Opera can save a page as a .MHT file, but Acrobat cannot open it.
This problem is peculiar to Acrobat X: it has never occurred to me in any previous version going back to v.4.

  • I can't open a barracuda network web page on my ipad

I'm trying to login to my works barracuda network web page to check what emails of mine have been blocked and safari won't display the page.

Ask your IT support staff if the page is flash based. If it is, iOS does
not support flash. Also ask your IT staff if they have a different URL
that leads to a login page for mobile devices.

At times, Safari crashes completel.
She has cleared cache and history, as well as done the hard restarts, but the problem persists.
She is running  the latest IOS, and all apps are updated as needed.

  • Pages crashing on ipad

    Hi
Pages keeps freezing on my ipad. this is possibly connected to my IOS7 update but I cannot be sure
It is intermittent but very frustrating
I have deleted and reinstalled the app but this has made no difference
Anyone else having this problem? Any suggestions?
    thanks

    Hello
Pages has become unusable on my ipad & iphone since upgrading to IOS7.
It was a fantastic wordprocessor, but now like you it just freezes when it wants too, then suddenly comes back to life.
The only way I can get to use it when it's having one of its turns is to turn off wireless, then it works, so I summise that its trying to update or sync with my other device and just causing it to freeeze or on occasions crash alltogether.
All my documents that were created in Pages, when opened now come up with missing fonts warnings.
    Utterly crap now.
Apple is becoming the Microsoft of the computer world, which is awful as I moved from a PC platform for reliability and stability. The GUI in IOS7 looks like a child has drawn it. What are they thinking!!!
Lets hope they sort out this bug as I need a reliable wordprocessor and will have to move platform/application soon if they can't fix this.
    cheers

  • Pages crashes on IPad 2

My Pages on iPad 2 crashes every time I click on picture is or insert pictures. I tried rebooting the iPad MANY times but still not working. Help! I paid $10 and it's useless.

I called Apple support. I forced all apps to quit, uninstalled the app, restarted my iPad and had same problem. I also took my iPad into the store where I got it. They came to the same conclusion: 1) do a back-up to the cloud, 2) delete all settings and data, 3) restore from iCloud--this took several hours to do. Good luck.
I had just updated about 14 apps when the problem started.
