Night Shift Premium
Hello Experts,
I have a requirement of generating Night Shift Premium Hours.
My Night Shift is from 18:30 to 6:30.
Where as Hours needs to consider for Night Premium is only between 21:00 to 5:00.
We are having Positive Time scenerio & Clock in/out is coming from IT2011 with all splits.
Please help if there is any standard functionality available which can be used or any other suggestion on this for generating this hours if there are multiple TIP split pair.

Hi Singh,
Your night shift is from 18.30 to 06.30 but you need to take the hours seperatly as premium shift hours which from 21:00 to 05.00.
Try like this:
When you create a daily work schdule, you have to assign the planned working time ( 18.30 to 06.30) as well as core time (21:00 to 05.00--this is just to take the premium time separatly) and assign the daily work schdule class 9 (what ever class you can assign)
now follow other procedures like Period work schdule , work schdule rule and nenerate workschdule
now. when you run the time evaution (as standard:you core time will be stored in deferent time type which you can see your PIT table. if its available in PIT then you can write a PCR to query on those time types.
In your PCR first query on daily workschdule 9 (only night shift) and again fetch the core hours time type from PIT.

We are working on ECC 6.0 and currently implementing negative Time management solution.
There is a requirement to calculate premium hours for individual work days. There are 4 daily work schedules which have individual premiums attached to them such as days at 0%, lates at 20%, earlies at 15% and nights at 33%. I would need to calculate the premium hours automatically for each of the DWS in Time Evaluation only.
For ex if I am on a night DWS which is at 33% premium and work for 10 hrs, I would need to calculate total hours as 10 + 33% of 10 =13.33 hrs.
I would like to know if there is any solution to it.

It is not complex!! There are multiple option, but I will discuss 2 of them (using IT2010) here:
#1: Multiple Attendance Type:
Use different attendance types for each DWS to record diff actual hours worked. For example, Att/Abs type: DAY , LATE, ERLY, NGHT.
Create one premium number (P1) and 3 premium ids(1,2,3) with percentage like 0.20,0.15, 0.33.
Use IMG node :
>Personnel Administration
>>Payroll Data
>>>Employee Remuneration Information
>>>>Group personnel subareas for premiums
>>>>Determine premiums
Or table: v_t510p
In XT00 Schema , you can find XALP. Copy your schema XALP to create ZALP.
Copy PCR XALQ to ZALQ and add the below line for your PSG of premium:
ZALQ****P1 TABLE 510PRTEBBETRGADDWT *
In schema XALP, modify where ever you call - GCYGXALQ to GCYGZALQ.
Whenever use enters time in CATS, they have to select the respective premium code
#2 Use one attendance Type
Use the current att type.
Create one premium number (P1) and 3 premium ids(1,2,3) with percentage like 0.20,0.15, 0.33.

_Note: In SAP Att/Abs type are not linked to shift premiums.
Note: No premium code required for regular rate_
If you want to control it, then you have to use the HR info type user exit. Where you have give the logic to ABAPer to program. If you use option 1 , then in user exit update premium id and number based on att/abs type entered in IT2010.
If you use option 2, the user exit has to default premium id and number based on IT0007's WSR/DWS.

I have 2 calendars set up for my work schedule, a "night shift" and "day shift" calendar. I've set up repeating events fro Fri/Sat/Sun 3-11pm "night shifts" and Mon/Tues 7am-3pm "day shifts". But lets say for example that I swap shifts and instead of working nights on Saturday like I normally would, I am now working days. I want to change that in my calendar. When I go to change the event, if i change the TIME it asks if i want to change all event or ONLY this event. no problem....just this single event. but when i go to change the event from the "night shift" calendar to the "day shift" calendar, it changes ALL the repeating events, and not just that one single event. can anyone help with this??? am i doing something wrong? is there a way to do this or not with the new iCal program??? i used to do this and never had any problems. Thank you!
You need to follow iPhoto terms since we only know what you tell us
what are you calling folders - in iPhoto folders can not hold photos - albums hold photos and folders hold albums or other folders
The basic default view of photo is by event (iPhoto '08 and later)

OTL - Shift Premiums for multiple Regular Premium Elements
Hi
We have configured Shift Differential policy such that if employee works between 6.00 am - 8.00, he should recieve "Shift Premium". We have 2 Elements (Say Reg1 and Reg2) configured as Regular Earnings. In Earnings Policy (Type -Daily Overtime Earning Rule), Reg 1 is specified as Daily Earning Rule.
I have defined PRemium Eligiblity Policy with Reg1 and Reg2 as Base Hours Type and "shift Premium" as Authrorized Premium. In Time card if Time is entered against Reg1 (Start Time and Stop Time incudes 6.00 am to 8.00), he recieves Shift PRemium. However if he enters time against Reg2 (Start Time and Stop Time incudes 6.00 am to 8.00), he does not recieve "Shift Premium", but we expect employee should recieve "Shift Premium", since he worked during the Morning hours.
Can you please suggest how can I achieve this.

meaning in the base hours type you need to select Reg1 and attach shift prem and also you need to select Reg2 again and attach shift prem again. -

For example Shift premium=50%
In table t508a, Shift premium put as 5.000
And the PCR is
TABLE 508A Read ATAB table
HRS=TSCHZU Set
HRS/100 Division
ADDDB8004Z Set day balance = 0
In Time type 8004 the value stored is as 8004 Shift Premium-Substitutio = 50,0000
Why in T508 a, Shift premium maintained as 5.000

create wagetype and give charactristics...all basic formalities for a wagetype hope you are familiar with that like..esg for wagetype psg for wagatype..then go to pa30 -> it2010 and give wagetype and assign amout whatever you have this is simple process..otherwise i have 1 complex pcr and process which requires attendance based on attendance we can query...

How to filter IN and OUT punch timings for Attendance in Day and Night shifts in oracle SP?
I am developing Attendance system which having day and night shift I am unable to filter the IN and OUT punches of the employees? below is my current logic
shift timings on 29-Jun-2013 IN 22:00 OUT 07:00 and on 30-Jun-2013 IN 15:00 OUT 22:30
I am filtering the IN and OUT punches based on shift timings and swipe time along with date, but when the employee changing from night shift to day shift I am getting problem.
the below is the one scenario
the employee : 101 has worked on 29-Jun-2013 on night shift punched at 22:00 and he left at next day means 30-Jun-2013 07:00 AM and again the same day (30-Jun-2013) he came to office at 15:00 on 30-Jun-2013 and he left at 22:30 on the same day now if the punches will come daily then there is no problem, however due to any problem punches are not received for 30-Jun-2013 07:00 AM then the punches IN 15:00 OUT 22:30 on 30-jun-2013 already in database now the out punch of 29-Jun-2013 is 30-Jun-2013 at 07:00 AM it is difficult to find this as previous day out punch
Note: some times the employees forgot to swipe IN/OUT punch
so if any body have solution please updateLike

how do you know it is not the continuation of 29-Jun shift? I believe you might have to define a rule here that if a person swipes IN say in n(4.5 in this case) hrs gap, it would be considered as Next Day

Error while recording night shift in CATS
Gurus,
Have a problem when i record timings for employees working in night shift.
For Eg. if an employee's shifts starts from 2300 hrs - 0800 hrs. the next day. when we record timings in CATS its showing as work time for the current day as 2300 - 2400 hrs - 1 hrs and in next day its showing as 0000 hrs to - 0800 hrs 8 hrs.
Please guide where could be the problem.

It's about your Daily work schedule on customizing:
Time Management
> Work Schedules
> Daily Work Schedules
First, on 'Define Daily Work Schedules' you should configure your 'Planned working time' such as 22:00 - 06:00, for e.g.
Second, on the 'Define Break Schedule' you should activate the Previous Day Indicator (VTKEN) for the one associated on the first step.

Their mightbe utilized DWS class is different for Night Shifts in "V_T550A" field name"TPKLA".
You can check employee Personnel Work schedule through "PT63".
The following will be help incase any development report.
If you having time evaluation very easy to check in cluster tables "PSP" for personnel work schedulw and check table "PT" for employee worked or not

'3' working off-site

Pre-approved Overtime (IT2007) Not Working Correctly for Night Shift WSR
Hi All,
I have come across this issue in pre-approved overtime (IT2007) for night shift WSR.
The planned working time for an employee on 04-Jan-14 is from 22:30, 04-Jan-14 to 06:30, 05-Jan-14.
The employee clocks in at 22:30 on 04-Jan-14 and continues work till 10:30 on 05-Jan-14. Hence, he has worked 4 hours of overtime from 6:30 am - 10:30 am on 05-Jan-14 for the night shift of 04-Jan-14.
A pre-approved overtime quota was created in IT2007 for 05-Jan-14 from 06:30 am to 10:30 am.
However, the overtime doesn't get calculated because in IT2007, there is no previous day indicator to assign 06:30 am - 10:30 am on 05-Jan-14 to the night shift of 04-Jan-14.
The time pair in TIP table of 04-Jan-14 will have overtime timings from 30.5000 to 34.5000.
The overtime approval will be for 05-Jan-14 from 6.5000 to 10.5000. Hence, there won't be any overtime wage types generated.
If there was previous day indicator in IT2007, then the pre-approval timings will be from 30.5000 to 34.5000. This will ensure the pre-approved overtime timings will match with the overtime worked and will generate overtime.

I have raised this issue with SAP and waiting for their response. So far, it hasn't been satisfactory.

SAP actually provides a standard functionality for this requirement. Actually, it was stupid of me not to do enough research and come to the conclusion that this is not possible in standard SAP.
For pre-approved overtime for night shift where timings are considered, please write as below:
GOT TO20 01 TEX
TEX will ensure that the approval for next date gets considered for current day.

I am facing an issue while updating the field SCHZU(Shift premium) in Table view V_T508A.For some WSR entries when i am trying to update the shift premium say with a value 19400,the value is accepted.However for some other WSR entries,the value for shift premium gets modified to 19.400.Can someone please let me know why this error is occuring and how to rectify the same.

I am trying to setup OTL. We do have a requirement to associate a special premium for particular shifts. I will not be able to use shift differential policy since it is not identified for particular time periods. For e.g. I need to pay an additional 15% premium on the base rate for all shifts that start between 4 AM and 7 AM. How will I set this up on the system, so that when I capture time against 'Normal Hours' it should automatically explode into this premium. Can something be done on the Work Plan level ?

I work night shift, how do I change what time my day starts?
I work nights so my "day" starts in the late afternoon. It is weird when Siri tells me my day starts early at 5 am when that is more like the end of my "day". How do I change the calendar and Siri so something in the evening is the first thing on my agenda?

I wonder if there is a formula to calculate the number of hours finding themselves in within a specified period during a work shift .
Employees have a night shift premium for hours worked between 1:00 ET 7:00. If their shift ends after 1:00 or if their shift starts before 7:00 , time accumulated. Here is my example:
